Absolutely outstanding service. Lovely Lovely lady looking after us all. Food was amazing, 3 of us had the pork belly and the amazing salad. Best pork belly we have ever tasted. We come from Norwich to visit family so a definite return for us. Hopefully a Sunday roast.

Its a beautiful pub in guildford. I would say it's a hidden gem cuz I've spotted this amazing place 2 years after living here lol. Highly recommended with friends cuz the outside seating place is just perfect at night time.

Dined here twice when staying in the area. Food very good but overpriced; portions sizes very small for starters and desserts. First visit staff lovely and welcoming; last night not to so good. Despite booking I was told that I’d have to vacate the table as it was booked for 19.30; this was at 18.15 and before we had even sat down; this was not very welcoming at all. We then felt pressured to make our choices and eat quickly ; in fact when it came to asking for the bill the card machine was presented before the bill. On the basis of our last experience we would not return or recommend.

We visited today as a family of three. My little boy is a year old so we never know how he’s going to behave. We were greeted by a tall man with a beard (forgot to note his name). He was absolutely brilliant with our little boy, making him laugh all evening. We didn’t tip because we didn’t have any cash and you never know who the money goes to when you tip by card, but if we’d had cash on us we would’ve tipped him because he was great! The food was great - only £5 for our little boy’s meal, and he loved it! My only suggestion is that a drink should be included with the children’s meal if you’re calling it a ‘meal deal’.

Proper pub, friendly and great food.

The decor and atmosphere is really lovely, high ceilings, several textures and finishes which make it really special. My 3 year old enjoyed every course of the kids menu, which was nutritious and appeared to be freshly prepared. I found a hair in my burger but staff were very apologetic and understanding – this was quickly replaced and we weren't charged! Win.

Had a delicious roast booked last minute with a friend on a Sunday. Service was excellent, staff were friendly. Will definitely return.

Massive portions, Lovely staff, Good food/drink selection. Went two days in a row and was quiet both times and got seated straight away.

Purchased two pints, first Hofmeister undrinkable and tried another Menabrea also undrinkable!!!! Someone needs to check the quality of the beers!!
