Amazing Sunday roasts. Comfortably better than anything, even more pricey, in cobham or local area. My go to if I want to take family for a great meal at lunch or dinner any day of the week. Fish and chips are stand out too.

Can’t recommend this place highly enough, the service is excellent and you can tell they are super passionate and knowledgeable about food, not your traditional gastro pub. The food is incredible, especially for a fussy nutritionist and gf person like myself. They even had natural wines on the menu which is a huge win! Really special place and beautiful atmosphere. A regular spot for me.

An amazing place. We came to the American Werewolf in London evening and we had a drink in the Slaughtered Lamb. The food was amazing, the best three course meal I think I've ever had. Highly recommend it and we'll definitely come again.

We chose this pub because they have great vegan options. Also they have good cocktails and an extensive wine and beer list if you have a designated driver. Vegans and non vegans all enjoy the food here and clean plates all round. Booking is highly recommended. Plenty of parking as well.

I recently enjoyed a Sunday roast at The black swan, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere set the stage for a perfect afternoon. The roast itself was a masterpiece. I opted for the beef, which was perfectly cooked—tender and full of flavor. The Yorkshire pudding was light and fluffy, a delightful complement to the rich gravy that accompanied the dish. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection, adding a vibrant touch to the plate. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations. The selection of local ales to pair with the meal was an added bonus. Overall, The black swan delivered a top-notch Sunday roast experience that I can’t recommend highly enough. I’ll definitely be returning for another round!

A nice pub but if you just want a drink there is limited space inside when they are serving food especially on the weekend.

A lovely welcome - the staff were very helpful, service excellent and were kindly informative about the pub’s history! We enjoyed good local Surrey Hills beer and all food was very tasty, desserts too. A perfect lunch

We booked a table for 6 to celebrate my dad’s birthday and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. As it was the winter, the fire was on which added to the overall vibe. A traditional English pub with delicious food and a large variety of beverages. I have to say, it’s also the best Bloody Mary I’ve had! We will be back again soon.

I'd just like to thank Barbie and her team for everything they did for my Mum's surprise 80th party. They all went above and beyond to make sure it all went of well. Everyone enjoyed the buffet food and the chocolate brownies were a success. No doubt we'll be back there again soon for there excellent hospitality. THANK YOU ALL again for a great afternoon. Asked what be the £19 Pie came with, told ‘nothing’ so ordered chips (the only potato you could order)and leeks as sides. Pie came with mash and cabbage. Complained as I would not have spent £10 on two extra sides. I had to say that I wouldn’t pay for them. The mash which came with the pie was in a very hot ramakin but the mash was stone cold. Had to complain. Obvs done in a microwave. Apologetic waitress (who the manager blamed saying ‘she’s new)’, but not even offered a free drink or anything to correct / make up for their mistakes. Very poor for £100+ meal for two. Amos was awful, very echoey room which meant I genuinely couldn’t hear my other half or waiter talking. Decor is tired with random shelf fixtures on walls and over doors. Shame. Won’t be coming back.

Hired part of the venue for a birthday party. Food was amazing and all the staff worked so hard to make sure all our guests were looked after. Barbara, the manageress is the best host and her team has gone above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome.

I had an email saying it was Oktoberfest from 21st Sept - Bavarian beers and dishes. When we arrived the staff didn't know what I was talking about. I showed them my email. Manager said it was marketing and not them. My husband ordered a cheeseburger which had no mention of being vegetarian accept (vg) in brackets which he didn't see. Assumed a cheeseburger was a cheeseburger. If you wikipedia cheeseburger it is very clearly a meat patty not veggie. This is the 2nd time the food and emails have not matched. Very disappointed.

I came for a lunch with my friend and on arrival I was stunned by the beautiful garden. Inside the staff were friendly and the food was delicious! I will definitely be coming back as there were so many tasty options on the menu… can’t wait to try a different dish next time!

Great location in a prosperous part of Surrey. A lovely old building at the junction of two serpentine country lanes. Nicely renovated in a typical Greene King style Good choice of locally brewed ales. The prices reflect the area. And there is a sneaky "discretionary" service charge. I asked the staff the meaning of the word 'discretionary'. They didn't know. Food was mediocre, although the service was attentive. Overpriced.

Really stunning pub, shame we didn’t find it earlier on in the summer as the garden/patio are looked really lovely! Food was just beautiful, perfect timings, lovely gap between courses, knowledgeable staff in the restaurant and the bar area. Highly recommend the pulled mushroom crumpet and the monkfish and king prawn curry, the price was reflective of the quality of the meal. We will most definitely return. Thank you Black Swan you really have nailed it.

My friend stumbled across this place as it was mid way between us both and I’m so glad she did! We had the most delicious meal- all of it was excellent but the bread is the best I’ve had in years and made on-site. Whilst there are many gastro pubs about these days, this one actually delivers good quality food and fresh ingredients (unlike a lot of the others!). The staff are friendly, it’s well presented and it’s simply not getting the footfall it deserves because of the roadworks. I will happily come here again and recommend anyone visiting Wisley to eat here after!

First off, we have been here before for a Sunday roast and it’s incredible!!! Beautiful food and service from all staff. Last night we had our wedding reception at the Black Swan after getting married abroad. Barbara was AMAZING! Of course the only day forecasted to rain was yesterday, but she said it’s fine we can accommodate, our reception started inside with welcome drinks then moved outside to the garden area. It was amazing, food was beautiful everyone complimented the pub, food, staff, the DJ absolutely everything! Could not fault one thing - amazing venue for lunch in the sunshine in the summer, or a cosy dinner in the winter or to host events!

Had a lovely day over at the Black Swan. Reunion with 5 lady friends. On arrival Nathain & team really looked after us. We really made him work hard as we needed lots of help recommendations, toilets etc. the food was very tasty & appetising, pleasing to the eye. Sat us in a lovely position in the garden as had 2 little puppies with us. Will certainly be meeting here in future each month looking forward to sitting inside in the Autumn. Thank you Nathain, Diana & Oghan a few of the team that helped us out. We were not in a hurry it was very busy but never felt rushed at all.

We arrived on the spur of the moment today for lunch as it was sunny and we fancied sitting outside. We didn't have a reservation but were warmly welcomed by Sophie who showed us to a great table which had comfortable seating and a view over the garden. We ordered a main course, drinks and dessert and were very impressed not just with the food but with the ability of Sophie and Jade to have remembered all the options on the menus. To us the secret of a good experience is not just the food but the ambience. All the staff we met were unfailingly helpful and all were smiling - this makes a huge difference! Thank you Barbara, Rachel, Sophie and Jade, plus all the unseen staff behind the scenes. We will certainly be back.

After hearing about this place, finally got to visit. Had a really lovely experience, family roast dinner was really good & the staff are so nice, friendly, & professional. Guy called Nath! Was really great on our arrival, he looked after us with Jude, nath made sure he came to check on us a few times even when we were in the garden. Really happy team that worked well under pressure. . Very knowledgable about drinks too.I have already booked again for next week to bring friends.

We were greeted by Barbara, who in a professional welcoming manner dealt with us and took us through to our table. What and absolutely stunning venue, Charles and Chloe took over the baton and provided us with attentive warm service throughout our experience. The venue is two hours from our home, however I would visit again without hesitation. The food we had, delicious, a feast for the eyes and stomach... The Black Swan is the kind of place you see other meals and you wished you had ordered that, however you have your own and it's simply great..you have to try the Black Swan.. you really deserve to

We hadn’t seen my husbands parents for a long time as they live in the Lake District. So we wanted to spoil them over the weekend they were with us and chose the black swan to have lunch on Sunday because we’ve had such a great time here in the past. What a disappointment. It started well and the owner moved our indoor table booking to outside when my in laws asked if we could which we appreciated. We sat down at 1.40 and ordered 3 appetisers and main course each and drinks The appetisers came in a normal time frame ( around 2pm) and were fine. Then what followed was an incredibly long wait. Two tables of four came in after us and had finished their main meals and left before we even got ours. Our waitress did say that our food wouldn’t be long and was coming soon. For a Sunday, it was no where near as busy as I’ve seen it in the past with plenty of empty tables. I’ve been there when every table is full and had much better service. I got up to query where our food was at 2.55 as my in- laws are elderly and were getting fed up of waiting like we were. What was really condescending and rude was the owner who proceeded to tell me that the reason for the delay was because ‘they cook it from scratch’ and proceeded to very forcefully dismiss me and tell me that our food was coming out in 3 minutes. Unlike two of her junior staff who were obviously embarrassed at the delay and both apologised to us. But no apology firm the owner. Ou meals didn’t come in three minutes. We finally got them at 3.10 three of which were over cooked. my mother in law mentioned to the waitress that we should get a discount off our bill. The waitress said we would need to talk to the manager. My Seabass looked like it had been deep fried from frozen and the chorizo, potatoes, spinach and fish were swimming in grease. I left most of it. The cheese burger was dry and chips over cooked and my father in laws fish and chips were over done. Our time with my in laws was ruined and it was such a disappointment after we’d talked the place up . Even when we were leaving my mother in law was conversing with the owner in french and expressing her disappointment and she also got fed the line that ‘everything gets cooked from scratch’ and that’s why everything was late for us. But not others it would seem. Has the owner been genuinely apologetic like her staff, had she tried to make us feel better by offering a discount or some drinks or dessert, or even bothered to come up to us and ask us how our meals were ( which no one did) it would have helped us feel better about the experience. My father in law wouldn’t let us pay the £145 bill I think because he saw how bad we felt about it. But he refused to pay the service charge and made it clear it wasn’t personal to our waitress Holly who was friendly enough. We are not unreasonable people and understand that if your ticket gets stuck behind a table of 8 these things sometimes happen. What isn’t acceptable is doing nothing about it and assuming your customers will be naive or stupid enough to believe it’s because ‘everything is cooked from scratch’. Very disappointing. Not just the delay but the quality of food when it did finally arrive, we didn’t see the point in even raising that with the owners attitude. We will not be visiting again nor will we bring friends and family like we’ve always done in the past.

An absolutely gorgeous pub with delicious food. We sat in the garden and had tasty Bloody Marys alongside absolutely scrumptious food. We were served by Chloe and Charles and they were both so friendly and extremely welcoming! Would definitely recommend this for a Sunday lunch - great veggie options too.

We were are table if 7, but sat at a table for six, with a squashed chair added at one end, which was odd when there was an unoccupied table for the length of our visit that was larger? Our food and drink order was taken after a fairly long wait, but we were in no hurry so wasn’t a big problem. The drinks came fairly promptly, the food did take some time and, unfortunately for one member of our party, their meal had been forgotten to be ordered by the waitress with the kitchen, the waitress didn’t even notice we had to point it out, so just as everyone else was finishing their meal, there’s arrived, with no apology. No check back was given during our meal to see if everything was satisfactory, which it wasn’t. We had a few steak meals and none of the meat had been cooked as requested. One was almost raw and so tough, the others over cooked a leathery. One meal had an extra sauce requested (anchovy hollandaise), which was also forgotten, when it came, it was wrong, a Béarnaise sauce with 3 anchovies draped over the top was delivered, very odd and not pleasant. We thought we’d have better luck with desserts, but this was just as disappointing … we ordered two peach and almond Melba ice creams, one with almonds and one without and two brownies. The brownies were stale and dry, not enjoyable. The Melba’s were delivered and the waiter clearly said “this one has nuts, this one is without”, which was a lie as neither had nuts. I did get up and query at this point as nothing we’d had, had been right. I was then informed by the waiter (that had bought the puddings) that the kitchen had run out of almonds, so neither had nuts. Why say one did then? And why was I not told this at the point of ordering as I wouldn’t have had that dessert if I’d known. It was a birthday meal for my daughter and no one wanted to spoil the occasion by complaining and as the staff didn’t do check backs and were not very visible, the opportunity to raise the issues that we experienced wasn't forthcoming. A service charge is automatically added to your bill and for the more premium prices for food and drink, it was a huge disappointment. Paying over £5 for one glass of orange and lemonade mix was a little steep. Would not recommend or return.

Unfortunately we booked for a quiet Sunday lunch and there’s was very loud music playing. The live band was just the other side of the hedge from us and we couldn’t hear each other’s conversation. The band was very good but we couldn’t wait to get out of there

We visited this establishment a couple of years ago and thought it was excellent in all respects, so couldn't wait to return despite it being some distance to travel. We finally returned for a birthday treat on Sunday 21 July, and what a disappointment! The service was terrible. We waited an hour and a half for food, growing very bored. When it arrived (after complaining twice) it was mediocre at best - although to be fair the roast meats were very good quality and plentiful, but everything else was pretty ordinary. It spoilt our excellent memory of our previous visit and left us disillusioned. We won't be returning.

Went for a quick lunch (with my dog). I/we had the best club sandwich I've had in years: if a pub can get the small modest things like this perfect it's a very positive sign for everything else on the menu.

Dear Babara, Thank you very much for having the European Championship final with you in a very beautiful place We were allowed to follow the beer garden and spend the night in the parking lot.

Known as the mucky duck. We arrived on Sunday. Not knowing if we would be able to eat. Upon arrival, the weather decided to have a fit. Greeted by this lady (with an accent) she was so friendly. We decided to sit outside under the porch next to an outside heater which was perfect. Ordered, yep you guessed it a Beef / Chicken roast. Perfect. We sat outside, under the heater watching the monsoon. Delivery of food was outstanding. Also a big thanks to a young guy with blonde hair who poured us our water. He was so professional, humble in his approach, and what a nice guy. All in all, a good day.

Nice looking atmospheric pub with friendly staff but sadly all dishes we had were distinctly average food… sadly we won’t be returning to eat.
