Drove an hour to visit and I was closed for a posh private event with no warning on their website. Left me on the moors with a full moon out that night...

Lovely Sunday (birthday) lunch - super food and massive Sunday roast. Excellent warm and friendly service - the young lady in glasses (didn’t catch her name) was superb. Food was excellent - very attentive to allergies and good vegetarian options. The beer garden(s) are lovely on a sunny day.

We had our wedding meal yesterday at The Black Swan in Cobham and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was incredible — every dish was beautifully cooked and presented, with all of our guests catered for perfectly. A special thank you to Barbie, the manager, who was brilliant to work with in the lead-up to the day. She handled everything with professionalism and kindness, making the planning process so easy. On the day, the staff were friendly, attentive, and made us and our guests feel so well looked after. The whole experience was flawless from start to finish. Thank you to the entire team for helping make our celebration so memorable!

Unplanned stop for Sunday Lunch. Food great & staff very helpful. Only shame was self entitled parents allowing their kids shout and to throw toy cars on the floor while waiting staff try not to drop trays while dodging these obstacles.

Delicious food, nice ambience and an excellent service!

To be fair the pub is lovely with a nice outdoor area, plenty of parking and great on a nice day. However the roast we had was Luke warm at best and the Guinness is terrible there. Great for some summertime outdoor drinks but we won't be returning for food anytime soon

The pub itself is lovely but unfortunately the roast was disappointing. It wasn't hot and lacked flavour, and I was a bit disappointed that I was charged for extra gravy, especially when the roast is £24. I won't be eating there again.

Pascal our waiter, was friendly and attentive, lovely service. Children’s portions were very generous however the checked schnitzel was dry and over cooked.

Stephanie gave us wonderful service, thank you. And the food was delicious. The atmosphere was curtailed by the large French woman, who seemed to be the manager, shouting rudely at staff in front of customers. Disgraceful behaviour.

The fixed price menu was extremely good value and the service from all who served us was excellent. We are never disappointed at the Black Swan.

Came for lunch on a busy Easter Monday, nothing was too much trouble. Barbie, our waitress, was particularly lovely - found a suitable table for us given we had a dog and continuously checked in to check we were happy with our meal etc. Not the first time we’ve had a great meal and great service here. Would recommend.

Venue drink food and service just perfect

Very small portions, my food arrived cold and there was no apology. The rest of my party finished their meal while I sat without my meal. Very disappointed. Usually we visit regularly but I won’t be in a rush to go back.

Absolutely loved our Sunday visit to the Black Swan! The food was fantastic—especially the delicious ham roast—and the mocktails were just perfect. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, and the service from Barbie, Steph, and the whole team was genuinely lovely. A wonderful spot for a relaxed and tasty Sunday meal!

What a lovely roast dinner, although changing extra for gravy is a bit cheeky. The service was fantastic, Evie looked after us extremely well. This was our first trip out the house with our newborn baby and she made us feel very relaxed.

This is a rare gem in the middle of the countryside in surrey. My roast was prepared to perfection and the ambience was perfect for a Sun afternoon roast lunch.

First time visiting, having passed this pub on diversion for A3 closure we decided to come back to try it out the following weekend, and were not disappointed! The staff were great, warmly welcoming, attentive and friendly. Really great food! Some interesting/unusual dishes as well as standard options and specials. Dog friendly - with dog treats available to sample (and take home for charitable donation to Macmillan) Our ‘fussy’ dog loved them so much! We loved it - will return!
