Lovely community local pub with cosy atmosphere. Martin the new landlord has done wonders with the place- live music at the weekends, always a good night out. Looking forwards to when they start doing food!

Good if you like watching sports and don't like your real ale. I do like my beer so I won't be returning.

An OK pub, nothing that would motivate me to return given other options nearby. Obviously a locals pub which is a good thing but a little soleless and not what I expected from a Shepherd Neame pub. That said the ale was well kept.

Lovely, friendly pub with the best Sunday lunch! Roast potatoes were spectacular! The staff and service were great and the pub had a nice vibe. Highly recommend it.

Wow!!! This is an absolute must visit for anyone looking for a cozy upbeat friendly environment in the Elmbridge area to enjoy a first rate Sunday roast with a few mates or family. The meat was clearly top notch and although the staff could seem a little stretched at times I’ve been assured of an extra one or two people working front of house to help spread the load!! There isn’t much space guys so be sure to book in advance!! Ps. Chef Joe who only works there on Sundays and is the sous chef at a high end Chelsea establishment is seriously talented. ENJOY X

Heard that The George Inn was excellent for Sunday lunch. It did not disappoint. We both had roast pork. I could not finish the plate of food !! Excellent quality meat. Loads of veg. Friendly service. Will definitely be returning. Bar staff and chef very efficient and friendly. Just what you want at a local pub.

We went for a Sunday lunch, having heard about it from friends. A choice of roast beef or pork with all the trimmings. Everything was superb ..real quality cooking, great ingredients and individual gravy boat !!! Will definitely return , and understand that they will be introducing weekday lunches soon.

Sunday lunch was absolutely 1st class, the staff really friendly, cosy atmosphere. Definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

We had a great time with George the bartender and got to know Martin the new owner. He and George have done a great job making the Pub a very clean and inviting place to visit. They also host live music and will soon be serving food also. We will be back to visit and hope to spend a lot more time. Thanks to all, Bob.

Toilet really dirty, wasn't very nice atmosphere, didn't eat as the kitchen looked very dirty aswell , decided to have a drink in the garden, very noisy

Rude unfriendly, I’m assuming, owner who told us to sit down or get out. Then when we were appalled by his vile unfriendly behaviour proceeded to tell us to just leave as he ‘didn’t need our business’. I have never ever experienced such disgusting, disrespectful ‘customer service’ from a landlord. We were in the pub for all of 30 seconds and that was the way we were treated. His attitude and outright rudeness was completely unprovoked as all we did was walk in and try to find seats. I notice similar reviews about his rudeness and seems to be targeted at larger groups. I would suggest going to a more welcoming, group friendly pub as clearly he doesn’t have the correct people skills😵‍💫 We all have stressful days at work but there’s no excuse to his rudeness. As someone who also works in customer service myself, I felt embarrassed by the way he behaved, and by the looks of it, so was his wife.

Old school boozer with great service

Great traditional pub, great landlord in Tony. Always a good crowd of friendly regulars, good selection of drinks. Always something happening whether it’s live music or the footie on tv or just putting a few songs on the jukebox! Just be aware some of the kids working there really do not enjoy their job and may kick you out around 9 when it’s quiet and they get fed up. They will however blast some terrible music to try get you on your way first. If this does happen just nip down the road to The Bear!

A proper old-fashioned town centre pub. Decent selection of well-kept beers from Shepherd Neame. Quite simply decorated. Two TVs showing sport and a Juke box. Regular live music. Feels like a pub for locals and more likely to appeal to men.

Just been and what a disappointing experience. We were in a group admittedly laughing and a little loud in an otherwise empty venue. Landlord rude and unwelcoming. I wouldn’t recommend

Unfortunately we were only able to gain a short experience due to the incredible rudeness of the staff. So embarrassed by it we had to leave.

Felt like a local from the moment we walked in. Thank you for making us feel like part of your family. We had visited the pub a few years ago, we were meeting as a close friend reunion. The Duke box is a lot of fun and George the manager made sure we had a great night.

Oh my what a night we chose to go with my two sons and friends. Who live outta Walton. Was a saturday and you had a live band. We had so much fun singing dancing . I had no voice the next day was a freak night and can't wait for a return visit. .

Great early drinks before a lads curry

Very friendly welcome and great beer. Perfect for a lunchtime snack and all the patrons seem to be real characters! Not tried the Sunday roast but hear its amazing. A number of TVs too with all sports and they were happy to let me watch Loose Women on one screen while I kept an eye on the cricket on the other. Perfect thank you

Popped in for a burger today and it was cooked to perfection, Great friendly service, Covid taken seriously and the changes made to the rear outside area looks impressive also. A warm and welcome place to sit while you have a good pint and some great pub grub. Get yourself there for a great atmosphere and a good laugh and an enjoyable lunch or a few beers in the evening.

Only value regular customers, and despite booking table the landlord refused to give us table as locals were sat there already. Do not consistently enforce Covid regulation. Any other pub in the area would be more friendly and pleasant to visit- don’t waste your time or money!!!

Nice and quiet on a Saturday afternoon, cheeky pint in the beer garden with savoury nibbles to snack on and some good conversation with my buddy.

Walked in the front door and was greeted with "We've stopped serving" before I could say anything. This was 21:30 on a Monday by the way. As I was saying goodbye to friends I was reminded "I told you we're not serving. Get out" Zero out of ten for customer service. If zero was an option for rating I would have chosen it.

Great atmosphere and brilliant live music

Me and my friend decided to go to this pub because we never been to see how it looks like, I asked for the drink menu and the lady who was there was quite rude and she said ‘whatever is in here is what we got’ then I was like ok. So me and my friend decided to have two pints of San Miguel I think they she said the price after when I said to her I was going just to check my bank account to see how much money I had it. Then my friend decided to paid and said ‘sorry for being an assh*le!” And she said ‘what you saying for? You not being an assh*le, he is the one who is being” she said that looking at me with a very rude face expression. How rude saying this. If my friend didn’t paid it I would walk away! Then my friend and I was watching football then she decided to change for another channel which is very unfair! But that’s not the the reason why I am writing this, I am writing to say the place is very bad with bad toilets and bad professional staff working. I really don’t recommend it and that’s why I will not go there anymore for sure with this staff not being nice to the customers. Terrible place!

Tony makes the most amazing sausage rolls. The pub is great and so are the locals. Live music is also played here on a regular basis. Get yourselves down here for a great evening of entertainment and good chatter. Did I also mention the sausage rolls.

The live music here is really great. There is such a party atmosphere when the band is playing. The drink price is reasonably priced too.

Very friendly amazing service the roast both chicken and beef was beautifully cooked and very delicious. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday lunch, I took my Mum there for Mothers Day, she loved it, live music and delicious food. Well done to Landlords, what a gem of a pub, how a local should be. Couldn't recommend enough.

Great place to meet with friends

They advertise it as 'live' music when in fact it is Karaoke, been there twice for live music and it is just someone singing badly to backing tracks off of a Laptop. I'm sorry that does not constitute live music Live music for me is someone actually playing an instrument and singing .

As soon as we walked in we felt welcome! Really great pub and while we were watching the rugby they gave everyone free snacks! Will definitely come back.

The George Inn is a wonderful local pub with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious and is freshly cooked. There is an interesting menu but there is also a sign which says "If you can't see it on the menu we will do it". We have visited as a family many times for Sunday Lunch and the food is always absolutely delicious with the most wonderful vegetables - nothing is too much trouble. Caroline is to be congratulated on her cooking skills and making everyone feel welcome. Robin and the Bar Staff also make sure everyone is happy. Dogs are also warmly welcomed - all very well behaved on our visits. It will not be long before we make another visit as the food, beer and wine and welcome are all outstanding.

After having just eaten Sunday lunch here all I can say is "Wow". Caroline and Robin are perfect hosts and the food was amazing.

Great pub to visit if your in Walton on Thames. The landlord and landlady are very friendly as well as the rest of the staff and customers. Sunday lunch is a must and more food than I've seen in long time, but you have to book to avoid disappointment as word is spreading about how good it is. A proper community pub... Period

Dave and Caroline are so welcoming, they make the George a home away from home.

Under new management, this place has efficiency turned itself around. Caroline, Dave and Robin are very friendly and welcoming. The George Inn is definitely a place to visit for its shepherd and neame bears and cider and of course the warm welcome.

We just enjoyed one of the nicest traditional Christmas lunches we've had for a long time. Delicious food with excellent friendly attentive service. Thank you Caroline and Robin

Not the cosiest English pub I've ever been in, but does the job. TVs outside in the beer garden are a nice touch.
