I went to The Lamb this evening for a beer and was very impressed. The atmosphere was quiet, with a local clientele, without tourists (except me), which made the experience even more authentic. The girl who served me was nice and kind, adding a personal touch to the service. The pub has a charm that reflects its history, and allowed me to have an authentic London pub experience. It's a shame I didn't try the cuisine, but I can say I left very satisfied. Advised!

Everything about this pub is excellent. The food, atmosphere, the staff, everything is top notch. You can tell the team have a great rapport. They remembered us after our visit the day before. Nothing is too much bother for them. It’s a great traditional London pub. Lots of local people seem to use it which is again testimony to its charm for you to want to return. It’s best to book but they will always try to accommodate. And it’s fab that it’s open everyday til late. It has become our favourite pub in London. The chefs also need a special mention. You guys know how to please a crowd with your Sunday lunches. Oh. And the decor. We sat under the Victorian duke box! Next time we will inspect the photos and other artifacts a little more. The selection of ales - great! Whoever visits - you will not be disappointed. .

Tucked away in a quiet, off-the-beaten-path area, this pub offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The fish and chips were excellent – crispy, with tender, flavorful fish inside, and paired perfectly with mushy peas and tartar sauce. A pint alongside made the meal even better. The barman was good-natured and friendly, adding to the overall relaxed vibe. Whether for a quick drink or a leisurely lunch, this pub is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

A nice old historic pub which I believe was frequented by many actors and actresses over many decades and I understand that John Hurt enjoyed a visit here. My friend and I went here for a few pints, it was rather cold and not really welcoming so wrap up well! - the staff need cheering up too, so pay a visit and keep engaging with them to make them smile. Amazing gluten free dish and chips and our party tried a number of the roasts all of which were devoured. Great sized portions - very generous. And the best cauliflower cheese we’d had in a long time. Would recommend if you’re in central London and looking for a cozy pub which isn’t a pricey tourist trap - but its own wonderful vibe!

Website says 10 recently refurbished rooms not sure when that was written but must have been years ago as its in thorough need of a refurbishment and deep clean. Arrived to be told continental breakfast included cooked breakfast extra which was not stated when booking. continental was rubbish cereals toast fruit no meat or cheese so not continental. Room was tiny and the tiniest toilet cubicle knees touch the wall. no separate bathroom glass shower in bedroom so no privacy main door to block banging shut all night so keeped being woken up( someone complained about door a year ago so obviously a good night sleep for the guests is not a priority for the owners complain about door again so let's see if fixed. I was on route to The Devonshire, what is said to serve a great pint. But on route I spotted a chap with a pint sitting outside The Lamb. My Guinness radar quickly scanned the pint and I realised I need not continue my journey. I asked for a pint and lucky for me Ralph took my order. He served up “The Perfect Pint” and it tasted as good as it looked. I never made it to the other place. A listed “old pub” means you get the authentic British pub but with the perfect pint of Guinness. What more could you want from this beautiful city they call London.

Our family, a party of eight, enjoyed a delightful Sunday roast at The Lamb. We chose this pub to celebrate the marriage of our American daughter to her British partner and also to honor my late parents, who frequented The Lamb while studying in London in the early 1960’s. What a special evening we had while enjoying starters, drinks, mains and desserts. Our food service was timely; the staff was very attentive. Our large, quiet booth was perfect for sharing stories from both countries. I told the tale of how the famous actor, Peter O’Toole, once pinched my mother’s derrière in The Lamb!!
