5 stars! Me and boyfriend love Megan’s, and Julia really made our experience tonight. The food was amazing, the atmos was vibes, and the waitress Julia was super lovely and helpful and checked up on us . Employee of the month we think! See you next time.

Second visit. Still incredible food and atmosphere. Restaurant was incredibly busy as was half term . But special mention to ANNALISE who was extremely helpful, kind and under duress- she will go far in life

This is my go-to place in Guildford. The food never disappoints, the atmosphere is perfect and the servers are the nicest! I took my parents there and they loved it! I cannot recommend it enough

Overall a nice place to eat. The food was tasty and the service was good. The interior is very nice, and also very clean. It was a good atmosphere. Only issue I had was that I thought for what I had to eat, it was a little bit pricey. Another thing, which isn’t really an issue but just something to be aware of.. they don’t take American Express. Apart from that, very enjoyable and would definitely go back.

Shocking service from Megans. Went for a birthday meal with 6 adults and 3 kids. Starters took over 45 minutes to arrive even though we ordered very basic starters. Lighting was extremely dim and music was too loud. The mains were the real kicker an hour and 40 minutes after starters were finished we then received our mains only to have wrong orders. Very very disappointing especially when we choose this place as a birthday meal. Horrific service. Much better restaurants with great service just around the corner.

Went today for brunch, service was amazing by our server Shivanai who looked after us well. Handled nut allergy request very professional. Food took a little time to arrive but was worth the wait and we were not in a rush. Highly recommend the Biscoff Latte and the Eggs Benedict. We will be going back

I’d not been to a Megan’s until now and was expecting it to be good. In short, it was good and clearly a lot of money has been spent creating the look here. The service was a little ‘wooden’ - polite but not that friendly. Would have expected a more welcoming and relaxed service, however it was nice enough and no reason I wouldn’t go back.

Great area to work remotely from and had the most amazing service from Jay! Excellent food and coffee. Would highly recommend this spot for anyone in the Guildford area

Lovely food! A great place to stop for lunch with a welcoming and warm atmosphere. A great menu with lots of different options. Staff are very friendly! The restaurant is dog-friendly so don’t be shocked if there is a dog sitting at the table next to you.

Our recent visit to Megan’s in Guildford was nothing short of extraordinary! We were a large group of 10, and from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and impeccable hospitality. The hostess greeted us with a friendly smile and swiftly arranged our seating, making us feel at home right away. What really made our lazy Sunday afternoon unforgettable were our amazing servers, Martha and Dan & another young chap who unfortunately we didn't get the name of. They went above and beyond to cater to every single one of us, attending to all of our needs with such grace and enthusiasm. Despite the size of our group, we were never left waiting or wanting for anything, Martha and Dan were always a step ahead, ensuring drinks were topped up and that every dish was served perfectly. Their attentiveness and genuine care our table truly stood out, making the dining experience feel personalized and special. The food, was delicious, beautifully presented, fresh, and full of flavor. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with the incredible service, made for an unforgettable afternoon. If you're looking for a place with top-notch food and even better service, Megan’s is the place to go. A huge thank you to Martha, Dan, and the entire team for making our meal so wonderful. First visit to Megan’s absolutely won’t be the last. Fab restaurant!! The staff were amazing so friendly and helpful they explained all about the different dishes and we didn’t feel like we were being a nuisance or taking up too much of their time even though they were very busy . The food was delicious some of the best I’ve eaten. A gem of a find and an asset to Guildford’s dining out experiences. Well done to everyone in Megan’s Guildford.!!

Overpriced They really need to state the size of drinks on the menu to avoid disappointment. I paid £7.50 for a nonalcoholic Shirley temple served in a small tumbler full of ice. I could have downed it in one! I would have expected a long drink for the price and it being alcohol free!

Our first visit to Megan’s but won’t be our last! The food was delicious, especially the cheese fondue, and plentiful - the sharing dishes were easily shared between 3 with a couple of extra sides. Service by Akshey & Dan was attentive, quick and helpful with recommendations.

We've been over to Megan's in Guildford for the first time for dinner this evening and we absolutely loved it, great foods, lovely stuff and a very welcoming restaurant. We'll definitely come back!!!

Had a delicious breakfast in the Guildford branch today . Really lovely space to meet friends with super friendly staff. Our table host was Dan who could not have been more helpful. He was so friendly , yet professional and handled our complicated order with good humour . Very impressed .

We dined on a Sunday and although the food was good, the service was terrible. 40 mins to get a drink, over an hour to get starters, another 40 mins to get mains and about the same for deserts. The staff are very polite and friendly but perhaps there just aren’t enough of them for the amount of people. It’s also not cheap, so until the service improves I would think twice before going again, especially on a Sunday.

Lovely atmosphere, great food and excellent service. We had a fantastic waitress (Su?) and very much enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend eating here. The outside decor does not do the inside justice - it’s much more interesting and sparkly! (Plus you can take your dog - ours was very happy!)

It's a regular place for us at the Guildford Megan's. Not been around to go for a while but was time to return. As always the staff are fantastic and I know we've been a lot as not just us but our dog is remembered too. They treat everyone so well and without the intrusive check ins that can plague other places. We had the breakfast as we often go in for an early walk. Pancake stack for me which was truly stacked and with the bacon (I had maple and bacon pancakes) it was a filling breakfast 🥞🥞. Their menu changes during the year so keep m eye on favourites going away as an opportunity to find a new favourite!

Megan is my new Hotspot for food and drinks I absolutely love the Turkish/greece style food it is super authentic and just absolutely delicious I think also a massive shout out goes to one of the management Georgie Who, whenever I go in always is such a pleasure to be around Reading makes the effort and can tell she cares about her guest makes such a warm and welcoming environment I can’t wait to see her again next visit 🤍

The bartender prepared the cappuccino and aperol spritz with both grace and prowess that I haven’t seen in sometime. The spritz was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was exactly what I needed for my night cap. Furthermore, the atmosphere was both vibrant and exciting, making it the perfect environment for ending a night out with my family!

We celebrated my birthday and our wedding day here and had the best time. The service was incredible from start to finish they really went the extra mile to ensure our guests enjoyed their experience. They were very attentive without being intrusive. The food was delicious with great portion sizes. We loved being able to have our dog with us too. Would highly recommend having your next celebration here.

The food was very good in particular the cheese fondue, however the service is very slow and inattentive once the restaurant gets busy, we had to wait over 30 minutes for the plates to be cleared. Also, food was excessive and almost 40 minutes long.

When I waked into Megan's by the Castle in Guildford yesterday, I was immediately struck by the vibrant atmosphere that beautifully blends Middle Eastern and Turkish influences. The decor was inviting, creating a warm and lively setting that promised a delightful dining experience. However, what followed was a bit of an identity glitch for this restaurant, as the food didn’t quite match the ambiance. Unfortunately, the dishes I tried fell flat. The flavours were underwhelming, the bread looked very dry, and the avocado on my plate was black—definitely not what you want to see! To make matters worse, the portion sizes were shockingly small, resembling more of a child’s meal than a satisfying adult brunch. For the prices charged, I expected much more. Just when I thought my experience was a total letdown, as I was walking towards the door, and was about to leave, the bartender surprised me with a piece of cake 🍰, completely unaware of my earlier disappointment. When I shared my thoughts about the meal, he genuinely apologized and explained that the small portions were standard. His kindness turned my frown upside down and added a sweet ending to my visit. So, yes, the atmosphere and some of the staff were lovely, however the food didn’t live up to the expectations set by the restaurant's charming identity. I wish I could recommend Megan's by the Castle wholeheartedly, but the culinary experience left much to be desired.

Came in with family. Had the seabass orzo, burrata fattoush, vegetarian brunch, cheese fondue and honey halloumi fries, all of which was really nice, colours on the plate popped. Dan our waiter was very fun and engaging. Service was quick and friendly. Decor in the place especially towards the back is really nice and airy and Mediterranean feeling. Really good experience. Perfect for lunch, mates meals, dates, pretty much any occasion. Plenty for all dietary needs. Thanks for a nice time.

Three of my sons and I did a Birthday Brunch to celebrate my daughter's 25th yesterday ~ oh my goodness ~ we couldn't have asked for more!! Our waitress was outstanding, I didn't get her name unfortunately. She was so much fun, on the ball, and knew exactly which dish/coffee was who's even though there were 5 of us... AND she organised a Birthday song with some staff and a Birthday pud without any input from me!! The food was scrumptious and beautifully presented. We sat upstairs and it's just gorgeous ~ the vibe is wonderful in Megan's. We're a hospitality family so we know how hard this is to pull off ~ hats off to you Megan's Team and a special thank you again to our waitress for making it such a special time!! We'll be back time and again... xxx

I've dined at Megan's several times now, each experience the food has been delicious! Particular favourite is the brunch plate - such a good selection and price point! Food and drink service has been a little slow on most of my visits, but the restaurant has such a nice atmosphere it's not too much of a problem for us! Last night we tried the 'Neighbours Nights' set menu for the first time, all courses we ordered were very nice! The staff are great too, Shivani was our server last night, she was very attentive and friendly!

Me and my girlfriend went last weekend and was served by Dan. What an incredible experience. Dans service was truly the entire reason for this Google review. Excellent service, great jokes, good knowledge and recommendations for the food. We couldn’t have asked for more. Dan was great and have made us regular customers. I had to drive to Hindhead from Portsmouth to visit my 99 year old mother in a nursing home and decided to go on to Guildford afterwards. Had a light lunch in Megan’s - very enjoyable. Wonderful staff and a very relaxing atmosphere which I desperately needed. Will definitely be having another meal at Megan’s when I return to Guildford. I lived there years ago so special to me.

Walking past a few weeks ago I thought this was a tea shop, serving afternoon teas and scones etc. it looks quaint and small from the outside, how wrong can you be!! Friday night whilst looking for something to eat we came across this place again, looking inside and seeing table full of people, always a good sign at 6:30 on a Friday night, we decided to give it a try. As a walk in of three, we were greeted and shown to a table on the first floor at the front of the restaurant, the Latin themed music playing loudly from the numerous speaker dotted around the place, we shared our area with a large family table celebrating a birthday and all talking loudly, the décor was a mix and mash of tiling, low slung scenic lighting and numerous bird cages hung around and on shelving. The food was not really up to par for two out of the three, my wife chose the Greek salad which seemed to be around 30 cherry tomatoes, a couple of slices of red onion and a heap of red humous in the centre of the plate with a garnish of about 3 ounces of feta cheese, all just seemingly heaped on a plate and slapped on the table, my sons open chicken kebab was so spicy you couldn't taste anything at all and he spent the entire meal upset because his mouth was hurting so much, this is a child that puts siracha mayo on everything he eats!! My meal was the mixed open kebab, of beef and lamb, a tad over spiced for my liking but tolerable with the dips and small side salad you get with it, and the Humous fries were nice, but then again you can't really go wrong with something you just have to fry can you! Overall a bit disappointing and we paid and left immediately after eating as my wife was fed up with having to shout to be heard over the loud music and other table also shouting to be heard. Will I go back....possibly but not definitely.

We had a nice brunch with a lovely waitress. She upsold spinach with the brunch. Why not, I thought. I had a tablespoon of spinach on my plate and the price - £3.50!! Megan's - surely you're not trying to leave clients with a bad feeling when they leave. Either make the upsells a decent size or don't do it!

Really great atmosphere, and the service was without faults. I had the veggie brunch with the scrambled egg option. Scrambled eggs were ok - tasted and looked more like an omelette.

Excellent service by very professional and friendly staff. The atmosphere is extremely pleasant, clean and always a very comfortable temperature.Above all is the welcome by staff. Megan’s are truly dog friendly, they provide water bowls treats and dog beds.

Edit: returned and the experience was a good one, food was tasty, although the quality of salad was questionable. The frozen drinks were great. Rosemary lemonade had no rosemary taste unfortunately. Up to 3 stars, since they still have fixed the service charge issue. The restaurant is very well decorated inside, and has a decent atmosphere even on a Tuesday night. The staff were welcoming and in general the service was great. The wine glasses for red wine were not appropriate in my opinion, much too small. The food was pretty good, decent portion sizes and good value. The sauces accompanying them complimented the food well. So why 2*? There is an amount of trust you need to have between a customer and a business, and when applying an already large 12.5% (discretionary) service charge, it should be correct. Charging over £9 on a £59 bill is not right at all, and it should not be the responsibility of the customer to notice this. I was told that previous complaints have been made on this, and it is a shame it has not been fixed already.

Went for a dinner and realised I was over charged - called the next morning and spoke with the manager who apologised and explained head office would need to refund as it was the next day. Over a month later and no refund. Have called three times to chase up and also sent message via their website - still no response. Very disappointing that a simple refund has still not been owed to me.

Dined in with a table of 5. The service was awful, our food came out at different times, I had to ask 3 times where the other plates were and was told by a different waiter there was ‘a mix up’ and it was on its way. Food was just ok, especially as we waiting and expecting the rest of the table to be served it wasn’t hot when we ate. We asked repeatedly for water on the table and for drinks and it seemed to be a lot of effort for the waitress. Deserts came out separately, again, and without cutlery. The waiting staff seemed to drop the food and disappear before making eye contact to check we had all we needed. I know the tables around us had a similar experience with the service. It’s a shame, as it had potential to be a lovely venue.

Love the interior decoration, and the food selection looked delicious. We had the shakshoukas halloumi and chorizo and were very happy 😊
