We visited this place for the first time on Friday. The ambience and service was amazing. We had a nice time there. Su was attentive and friendly with her servius and took amazing photos at the end for us.

Came here with friends on a Friday night for dinner and the food was lovely. However, the service and attention was disappointing: - despite being a Friday evening, no non-alcoholic beers were in the fridge and no alternative was offered; - took too long to have someone take our order for food, and the service was slow - far too long between courses, at least an hour if not more, didn’t eat mains until 9:00pm, - Multiple things on the menu were out of stock - glasses were empty for a while and no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks - empty plates sat on the table for a while; - the one non-alcoholic cocktail part of the happy hour was also out of stock, with no alternative offered which was disappointing Food was lovely yet the service unfortunately let it down and won’t be rushing back anytime soon.

I think they must still have their heating on because it was ridiculously hot today, left feeling ill. The decor is lovely, but tables far too close together (I could hear neighbouring conversations which was embarrassing). The food is very mediocre and expensive. The poached eggs were served in a pool of vinegar and the toast was too hard to bite into. Service was very polite. There was a dog in the restaurant which was a bit gross. Doubt I will be returning.

Hello everyone, I’m a regular at Megan's Guildford, and my wife and I had brunch there yesterday. We were seated next to a couple who left a negative review that I believe wasn’t accurate. Several staff members came to their table and offered fresh-cooked dishes, which they initially accepted. However, I think the gentleman became upset when the manager kindly asked him to place his dog on the floor so they could bring over a dog bed. The dog was partially on the table at the time. They responded by saying that Megan's isn’t a dog-friendly establishment, which I felt was unfair. The team works incredibly hard to ensure a great experience for all guests, and it was disheartening to see a review that didn’t reflect that. I personally didn’t feel comfortable with the dog eating from the plate either. On a positive note, as always, we had a wonderful experience – the food was fantastic and delicious!

I came here with my girlfriend and the experience was brilliant. The atmosphere was perfect for a date night and the decor of the restaurant was amazing. Both the host and our waitress, Julia, gave brilliant service to us and everyone else dining. Attentive, engaging, fun and truly above what you would expect at any restaurant. Julia gave genuinely the best service I have ever experienced in a restaurant, it made the meal, evening and date even better. We tried the frozen cocktails and they were brilliant, I also had the calamari, chilli chicken shakshuka and Za'atar potatoes. Julia, our waitress, noticed we were on a celebratory date and offered for us to share a cookie dough on the house. All the food tasted incredible, portions were good sizes and the time between courses was perfect. The chilli chicken shakshuka was especially delicious, very well cooked and deep with flavour as well as having incredibly tender meat. The flatbread was soft, warm and tasty. Overall, the atmosphere was brilliant, service incredible and the food was well worth the price as it was incredibly delicious. 10/10 experience and especially perfect for a romantic meal! Again, one last mention of Julia as I left the restaurant genuinely shocked by how good she was. Unforgettable service without a doubt.

I ordered poached eggs on sourdough toast and when I explained that the toast was burnt the waiter just walked off. Five minutes later we asked for an update and the waitress said she would check….. no response. In between this we were told by a dog friendly restaurant that our dog had to be on the floor or my lap, we put her on my lap (she’s a maltipoo) then when the manager came to see us about the toast he had no answer about what to do, he didn’t offer to make it again and told us our dog wasn’t allowed on my lap. Sooooo disappointed as on face value it looks like a lovely restaurant but it’s badly let down by the poor service and food. Such a shame 😔

Came here as a couple and it was such a lovely evening!! Our amazing waitress Julia especially made the whole experience even more incredible. She gave us some cookie dough and ice cream on the house and was just really friendly and hospitable. The food is definitely worth the money, left feeling absolutely stuffed. The only thing people may not like in the evenings is thag in some areas it is quite dim. But for a date, super romantic!

This was a few weeks back but I went with my friend for a casual dinner in town. The host was very welcoming, and the service was consistently good. Our server, Yandi, was lovely and honest. We both had the lamb kebab - very flavourful and tender (only wish there was a bit more). My friend and I weren't super hungry when we went, so the portion size wasn't really a problem but if you're looking for a full meal then you would likely need to order some starters too. For dessert, we shared the baklava and ice cream - the baklava is from an external bakery, so I won't hold it against them but it was basically just filo pastry and syrup. Aside from that, the food was good and I'll definitely be back to try more.

Love Megan’s! A go to for me! They’re dog friendly and have so many vegan options. Their cocktails are insane too (pornstar martini and the frosé are amazing) Highly highly recommend the zaatar hummus!!! Great service as always. Thank you to our server Annelise!

Megan’s is a stunning restaurant with gorgeous food. I highly recommend the open lamb kebab with halloumi. Our server Annelise made us feel at home and made some excellent menu suggestions

Atmosphere great. Food great. Service was punctual but having worked in hospitality for over 30 years our experience was somewhat ruined when made to feel rushed towards the end of our lunch. At roughly 3:30pm tables at the rear of the restaurant were clearly being laid up for dinner. A member of staff went to remove our coffee cups before we had finished but did apologise. She then not 5 minutes later placed a candle holder in front of us whilst we were still talking and drinking coffee. Unacceptable. When spending £100 on lunch, the last thing a customer should feel is rushed. On leaving there were at least 4/5 tables still being served at the front of the restaurant. A real shame.

Lovely experience for my birthday Julia was great.

The positives were the friendly waitress (Julie?), nice decor, and the food was quite tasty (especially the chicken), but honestly, portion size was very underwhelming. A shared mixed-grill for 2 at almost £19 per person was 3 skewers of meat and 1 of peppers on a plate of potatoes, with a pitiful garnish of onion/cabbage. At least give more potatoes or add a bit of salad to make it feel like a whole meal! Halloumi fries were nice enough, but at almost £8 for 6, certainly wouldn't buy again. As for the automatically added 12.5% service charge, we let it go as I won't begrudge the waitress her tip, but don't appreciate it for a group of 4. It's ok for large groups, but not everyone!

The person seating us was so lovely and even grabbed us some dog beds but the person serving us was so obnoxiously rude And kept giving us foul looks we love coming to megan’s usually however this lady rewind our experience today and charged us 6 pounds for terrible service.

Food was very delicious and came out quickly, and Saaksh was perfectly timed on check backs and provided 10/10 service. A credit to your team :) Will be returning !!!!!

Service at Megan’s is exceptional, with Julia who was so attentive, friendly, and eager to enhance my dining experience. Can only give this review based on not being provided with any service. A very rude, off hand waitress told me we could not have a table for a coffee and a snack even though there were clearly many free. I was smartly dressed and polite. No reason provided for her refusal. Certainly won’t be going back again.

Nice beautiful place my starter was really small but it was great 👍 my main curse was kebab for 2 . Little food lots of fried cube chips under it no salad no test came with 3 dip suace. food was really disappointing bad test dry chicken , dry kofte kebab was awful I spend lots of money for this awful food I’m not happy at all they really must improve the food quality.

It's restaurants like this that illustrate why "Turkish" is so synonymous with "Delight"! I believe there's a warmth here that you won't find anywhere else in Guildford. It's in the service, the well seasoned posh kebabs and expertly crafted grapefruit Negronis. A special shout out to Julia and the rest of the staff for adding much more value than was expected. This is a must visit for any diner here in Guildford.

First time at this branch as I am a regular customer at the Chiswick branch. My husband and I were looking forward to this lunch as this is our lunch treat for our wedding anniversary, to which I indicated in my reservation. The food is tasty as it has never been shy of spices and flavours. What I was a bit disappointed about, despite all the staff ever being so lovely and always checking in on us, is that we were seated on quite the most uncomfortable area on a chilly day, which is at the table nearest to the exit door that opens every now and then when customers are leaving. Now I’d be alright with it if it was a walk in request, but I guess it was sad that other restaurants would have done things differently knowing that I wrote a special request in the reservation. It felt like the tables weren’t prepared at all in advance and what all that was left. Service was superb and all were very kind although had a bit of a wait when we were ready to order; food was delightful, and this is more for the presentation of the food but wishing there would be more harmony and space as the plates were cramped / food could have been presented better. Highlighting the turkish chorizo as it has completed the turkish eggs for me; flatbread was perfect; hoping there’s a way to addd oyster mushrooms onto any dish as these were so yummy.

I had a perfect lunch at Megan’s in Guildford today. We sat upstairs; which is beautiful and we’re served with charm and efficiency. The plant based ‘lamb’ is fantastic. I can’t wait to go back. Also, they gave me a gluten free brownie to take home. How kind!

I had high hopes for this place seeing as the service in the booking process I received from Tilly was amazing, and the service from the waiters and waitresses was great. However, the below complaint was sent to the customer service following an issue where the desserts were missed for pretty much our entire party of 14, which I have since complained about and Lucy in customer service has not offered any resolution and is now ignoring my emails. Avoid this particular restaurant for group bookings as you will be severely disappointed when one of your dishes (that was pre ordered) is not available and you are served cardboard as an alternative. Twickenham branch however is lovely and amazing service if you must try this place at all. We had a booking for 14 people at 1pm in the Guildford restaurant. We had pre-ordered set menus and I received an email 2 weeks before to say there were none of the donuts from the set menu (4 of our guests had ordered these) - we were advised that sticky toffee was a good alternative so we all opted to have this in its place. One the day, just before dessert was going to be served, we were advised that there was in fact no sticky toffee available at all. Considering 7 of the guests had ordered this, plus another 4 due to there being no donuts, I think this is absolutely terrible planning on your part and was shocked that for a party of 14 people, 11 of the desserts were unavailable (seeing as we also had to put in our orders online before the reservation so that your kitchen staff could ensure they had enough supply in). As a resolution, we asked if we could then order any dessert or if it had to be off the set menu, to which we were told we had to order from the set menu (mince pie or raspberry loaf which no one liked) or we could have "cookie dough" as an alternative. The cookie dough brought out was a sharer portion and it was flat and burnt and really not the standard expected when we originally booked to come here. I would like to point out that we paid for our meals up front, a total cost of £630, and spent another £230 on the day - so a total of £860! Considering the amount we spent the least I would expect is to have the "replacement" dessert available, and when this is not available then we should be able to order whatever we chose as a dessert, not given a dry version of "cookie dough" with a bowl of ice cream. I am not usually a person that complains, but considering the money we spent I think this is appalling service. I must stress that your waiters and restaurant staff were amazing, and we cannot fault the service from them - but maybe in future your kitchen staff should make sure they have enough meals for a big group like ours. We did not make a fuss on the day, but I hope that you can provide some sort of resolution for this considering the fact it happened on two occasions, and it left us with only one (sub-standard) option for dessert. I would expect some kind of refund in this situation, considering a third of the meal was not delivered, then maybe a 30% refund for the 11 guests that did not get the dessert they had ordered would be sufficient, or a voucher to this amount for a future meal at Megans.

A lovely experience. They were able to fit us in for a quick brunch even though we hadn't booked. The food cake quickly and was excellent.
