Food: The food was delicious. For starters I had the gluten free halloumi fries it was delicious especially with the sweet chilli sauce that comes with the dish. Also the crackling was delicious too. For mains I went for the chicken and rib combo,the ribs and chicken were both delicious,I love the seasoning put over the ribs. The chips was delicious too and the slaw was amazing and fresh. Not outrageously expensive either. There are Massive portion sizes for the food. Would I recommend:Yes. Location:In between Beaconsfield and Marlow.

Kate, looked after a table of 7 extremely well, in a friendly and courteous manner. We were very pleased with the service.

Garry our waiter, delivered excellent customer service. He was friendly & welcoming. He remembered us from a previous visit. He is an asset to the Britannia team. We will return due to his exception level of customer focus.

Having had a dreadful experience with the previous manager-thank goodness he’s left! We went for a family birthday meal. Food was great, Garry was exceptional. As a business you should upgrade him, he should be an example for teaching all your staff/pubs as a role model. Attentive and brilliant. Look forward to next visit.

As a first timer to the Britannia, we had the most excellent meal in a fabulous environment. Gary served us and was charming, fun and made our experience so much more than just a meal out. Great food, a little bit slow in the kitchen, but this was due to a full restaurant and is totally acceptable. Great friendly staff .

Great food...tasty and reasonably priced.

PROS: Fantastic tasting food and Portion sizes on the Sunday menu. Lovely cocktails- Had the Zombie, others had pornstart Martini. I liked the lovely ceiling detail. Cons: Loads cobwebs in light fixture directly over head and table. Something about people who look under 25 needing to show ID, (thought this was weird when legal drinking age is 18 in UK).

Went here for a 80th birthday party and it couldn’t have been better

We were looking for somewhere for a quick drink with the family on the Bank holiday and after trying 3 others that were all closed we found The Britannia. Lots of seating, some big tables for groups. Menu looked good. We will have to go back to try the food. Large car park with disabled parking spaces too. Outside seating too.

Garry was a great server, very friendly and welcoming. Definitely come again.

Perfect atmosphere for a Friday evening, lovely staff and lovely food to accompany it.Owners Charley and Jamie welcomed us and were incredibly helpful and friendly making for a perfect time here at the Britannia. Mandy on the bar was welcoming and warming as soon as we arrived. Made our visit brilliant from the get go. Would highly recommend !

Busy August evening, but they managed to find us a table. Great service from the bar and waiting staff and the fantastic food was freshly cooked, well presented and value for money.

We generated the order from the qr code. the appetizer arrived after about 10 minutes, unfortunately the main course arrived after an hour, of which after 45 minutes of waiting we had to ask where our food was... it is possible that they forgot about us because other guests who came later received their food immediately. It tastes like powdered Pepsi, not what I expected after £3.25 for a Pepsi Max Large

Came for a meal after a hard day's work with the wife. Atmosphere was lovely food arrived hot and tasted lovely. Our waitress Jamima was lovely who served us at a nice pace made sure we was happy and made sure we was happy with our food she was very polite and greeted us with a smile and made our visit enjoyable. Shame they microwaved the apple pie. Friendly service. Roast dinner was reasonable, hot & generous portions. Nothing else to say to get to 100 characters really.

The food was nice but staff didn’t seem bothered really , I spent a lot of money for 4 meals and drinks but asked for 1 piece of cheese for my granddaughters burger and got charged £3 !!! It’s a piece of cheese!!! When you’ve spent over £100 really!!!

The worst food I have ever seen or tasted this place is getting worse Yet still cost me close on £70 should’ve gone for a kebab at Tony’s, chicken Was discoloured n dry, Didn’t even want to try it , Garden peas were like bullets no taste of pea, I will say the fish was tasty. So not a total disaster

Staff very helpful and efficient. Was fathers day and couldnt get parked in Marlow so missed meal in Zizzis so pulled into here on way home. Parked easily and they managed to seat our group of 5 easily. Recommended. Will return.

Average food, expensive prices and ok service. Nothing really stands out about the Britannia, even the location is a bit out of the way.

All good except fish and chips. Fish was thin and dry, batter was far to crispy. The skin on chips.were also very dry and to thin.

I come here often. The meals are always good, and the service also great. I gave three stars to the atmosphere because l found the music is often a bit too loud for me. It makes conversations difficult at times.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here to celebrate a birthday! There were lots of tempting options on the menu, and I particularly enjoyed the roast beef - it was cooked to perfection. They even offer different portion sizes for the Sunday roasts, which was great. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, and they have outdoor seating which would be perfect for a sunny day. The only thing that stopped it being a perfect experience was feeling a bit rushed. We understand that restaurants can get busy on Sundays, and it did take about an hour and a half for our mains to arrive after we sat down. Perhaps on busy days, it might be helpful to manage expectations a bit more around wait times. For example, when we were told we had 50 minutes left on our table. The same thing happened when we ordered dessert. Despite that, the staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our visit.

Amazing BBQ lunch x4. Flavourful moist Chicken combo with Ribs & Steak. The Mini Baby Ribs were the best, tender and tasty the meat fell off the bone, Great signature salad I even got a takeaway for my lunch tomorrow unfortunately the Coleslaw let this meal down not quite sure whats wrong with it. Portion sizes are good x 2 rack of ribs which I initially said was too much for me but couldn't resist so I had to exclude the amazing selection of puddings which includes apple pie and ice cream. This is the perfect venue for drinks get together with friends and family meals plenty of seating indoors / outside front and back. Great service and good atmosphere friendly staff and amazing selection of Food. I would definitely recommend My friends from London really enjoyed their meals so we will be back at the weekend for roast dinner.

Our Dining experience was great and our waitress Aaliyah was very helpful and cheerful throughout our time spent there. The food was excellent and quick despite being busy. Will return soon.

Lovely pub and great food and service. They host a lot of local events here like the game nights and pub quiz events. The food is pretty good and service is fast and attentive.

Food Excellance Coleslaw not on point

We had a lovely chicken katsu curry - filling and tasty. Staff were very friendly.

This WAS half a chicken.... Too good to had time to capture it in it's glory. Quite lovely atmosphere and food, we also had Nachos and Peach Salad. Everything was brilliant. Kate, our waitress was friendly and prompt

Came for a late lunch and was not disappointed! We were greeted by charming staff and were served great food. Pricing wasn't too bad and you got served quite a bit so definitely value for money. I recommend this if in the area.

Got the steak and chicken combo. The chicken was nice and flavourful The steak was delicious!!! Wasnt a fan of the coleslaw though.

Meat cut a little to thick (pork) but overall excellent

The service is friendly and fast. I have eaten here several times and the food has always been very good. Their rack of ribs is delicious as the neat slides off the bone and the sauce is sumptuous. There is also a large car park. It is also good value for money. I recommend eating here.

We visited pub with friends for dinner. Even the pub was busy, our food was served relatively fast. I had fish and chips who were very tasty and portion was huge too. Service was great, waiter came several times and ask if everything was nice.

The experience with the staff was amazing and the food I would say was ok. Generally good cocktails and nice atmosphere.

Have to say this has often been a nice place to stop and grab a bite but personally I think it has dramatically reduced in service and food options the large chicken menu overwhelms the menu and is not exciting

Decent pub restaurant, food is good with decent portions, staff are friendly and approachable, but the only thing I would say is that it can get a bit slow behind d the bar, apart from that nice place 👍🏼

A big thank you to the staff, especially Kate,Jamie and Charlie. We requested a seat by the window as having Chemo and needed ventilation. Staff on two occasions excellent and no problem to them. Well done Britannia and first class food. Recommend to all great atmosphere and staff.

We have just returned from one of many visits to the Britannia. I've never heard a waitress apologise to the customers for lack of food. It was quite surprising to hear that there were no roasts available on Sunday, even at 5 pm. However, we decided to go with something simple, steak and steak & chicken, which doesn't take long to cook, so goodness knows why we were sitting waiting for 50 minutes before the food arrived. Again, the waitress kept apologising for this. When the food arrived, we asked for the coleslaw, which came with the steak, but the waitress apologetically said they had run out. She offered to take the cost of our drinks (sparkling water & Soda water) off our bill along with any dessert if we wish to choose one. After eating or steak and dry chicken we didn't want dessert and asked for the bill. Again, this took a long time to arrive along with another apology. Don't visit, not worth the money. Poor food etc.

I had a large beef brisket Sunday roast,lots of tender beef,very satisfying meal,apple and rhubarb crumble with custard for desert,again lovely,service was amazing,very friendly,recommended by family who go regularly. Definitely going back again.

The quality of the food is absolutely fresh and freshly prepared at the last minute. The portion size is very good and suitable for guests with a good appetite. Also highly recommended is the selection of beers, especially Ginness, optimally served, long-lasting creamy foam and optimally chilled. Service very courteous and professional.

Went to the Britania on Saturday 6th of January hoping to have a meal. After waiting several minutes at the Lecturn, someone turned up and put us on a table, said he would be back with a menu and to take an order for drinks. We waited half an hour and still no one came to take an order or give us a menu, so my partner decided to go and get our own drinks at the bar. Waited a bit longer and eventually stopped a waitress and asked her if we could have a menu. She supplied one. And we sat waiting for over half an hour and no one came to take our order.. eventually, we decided to go elsewhere with our business. The Britania has gone downhill very rapidly. I would not dream of going in there again. It always used to be the best place to go for a meal. Such a shame. Good luck, Britania I don’t think you’ll be around for longer.

nice enough place but cocktails very expensive and the decking can be extremely slippy it’s only a matter of time until someone falls, plus the heaters don’t all work

Great for family pub lunch with kids. Food choice standard pub, good value and tasty. Beer can be hit and miss with flat pints sometimes, the house ale is not the best in my opinion.

A shame there's only 5 stars to give. What a nice start to 2024 with an outstanding service during my lunch visit here. Food was great atmosphere was splendid, hats go off to our waiter Gary for an 10/10 service. Hilarious from start to finish... can't ask for a better service. And this just goes to show that there are hard working and dedicated staff member out there... a round of applause to you all 😊🫡👏🏾👏🏾

Family of seven went for dinner in Xmas week, mixture of meat eaters and vegetarians and what a wonderful experience we all had. Food was amazing, staff so quick and friendly we always go there and have always had a brilliant experience…well done all a really good quality and good value experience.

Nice place. They were able to seat us right away. About 50% full at 6 on a Thursday. My chicken, steak, and jacket potatoe were really good. NY wife had the salad with pulled chicken, but that was not so good. Too little chicken and it was overcooked and dry. We'll probably try it again.

When here for lunch food was dry and over cooked my daughter had hunters chicken the brewers fare loudwater is 10x better than this one I had a steak with mushroom sauce what tasted like sick the grilled tomato was as if it was out of the bin dint look freshly cooked atall the steak was chewy sad to say I will never return again

I have only been here once as I don’t live in Marlow. However, tonight the General Manager came in to the Pub I work at the self described “phsyco bird from Essex” is a lovely person based on tonight and lovely Management will bring with it lovely staff I wish them all the success in the world and will definitely be coming in more often.

Great food, shame about the service! Staff are not attentive enough, we waited far too long to be served and once had to ask 3 times just to get another drink. Such a shame and there was no excuse as thier was plenty of staff to cover how many people were in the pub but literally no idea how to service it, food was lovely!

Food has been a little disappointing the last couple of months.

Shame I can't give half stars. I've eaten here a few times. We decided to have the festive set menu here, even from waiting to be seated it wasn't a good start. The food wasn't great at all, it felt as if quantity made up for quality sadly it didn't cut it especially with the wait. The wait staff did what they could and I think were slightly overwhelmed. Food on other occasions has been reasonable so don't want to be to negative but the festive occasion was poor.

Had a great family Christmas Dinner here it was incredible well organised and we all had a lovely Christmas Dinner and a great time thank you

I don’t like chain pubs as the food is very rarely cooked well but I have to say they done a very good job. Considering it was a very busy lunchtime service with lots of Christmas parties the food was exceptional. The service was a bit slow but that was fine. They clearly have some good staff working the kitchen. Christmas turkey dinner was all piping hot and very tasty. Plenty of food on the plate. More than impressed, keep up the good work.

I went here for a lunch meal with some family members, the staff were very quick to come and take our order. The food was very tasty and quick to come out, the waitress was very attentive and cleared our plates soon after we had finished eating. The price is about average for a pub/restaurant.
