Came for a birthday celebration and the food has been amazing. The staff Darai, Charlie and Az was fantastic. They were friendly, always helpful and Az did amazing and gave the personal touch by going to Asda just to get some English mustard! Will 100% recommend to every family and friend and will definitely be coming again.

popped in over the weekend and have to say I was really impressed with the service and overall experience. The food was excellent and came out at a very reasonable time considering how busy it was. My friend and I were served by Ricky, and he was telling us about upcoming events and how much he loves it there. So refreshing to see and hear such positivity from someone who genuinely cares about their place of work! We will definitely be returning soon.

I wasn't happy with the food it was dry and over cooked as well it took just over an hour for are food to come out and we was still missing food the garlic bread was over cooked as well drinks took a while to come over also the manger was behind the bar on his phone he made the wrong drink for my table. The only good thing that happend at station garden was Charlie with the best service all night. Understaffed to many kitchen team that couldn't get the food out quicker I'm sorry but this place used to be better a lot better.

Great place to go out as a couple and bring kids truely was an enjoyable night from the moment we walked in from the staff were friend and even josh the pizza chef was very friendly and great letting my 3 year old watch him make the pizzas and food was lovely

Sunday roast 15 quid, truly terrible, cold, rock hard stuffling, watery gravy, staff were lovely but do not know how the roast could have been worse!

I recently visited The Station Garden and was left very disappointed with the food and service. I ordered a medium-rare steak, but when it arrived, it was practically raw. I sent it back, hoping for it to be cooked properly, but the second attempt was just as underdone. In the end, the pub offered me a refund, but there was barely an apology or any gesture of goodwill to make up for the poor experience. Considering the quality of the food and the lack of customer care, I wouldn’t recommend dining here.

Station garden has always had great food but when I went today, the quality of my fish and chips was very poor. The batter doesn't seem to have been cooked properly and all soaky. The fish itself was dried and tasteless. Chips was ok though. It's a shame as the service and atmosphere are great. Hope the food can be improved.

Ordered a Lasagne & chips for me, and pizza for my son on our regular Friday night treat. Food was good, a minor problem was rectified straight away by the staff! Dara, Charlie and Scarlett were very friendly and professional. Considering it was a Friday night just after the rush, the food came out in decent time and the place was fairly clean. Plenty of tables were available including our favourite area near the bar. I had booked a table as it is usually very busy on a Friday night!

Came in on Saturday meal was ok but had other problems that the staff were aware off and did nothing to sort it out it took me and my family to deal with it instead

Food took 1.5 hours and was of poor quality. Would not return.

Came to eat on a Friday night and the wait was unacceptable also when ordering there items from the menu that they didn't have which I think is very poor for weekend.

The skinny fries were tasteless and were like bricks to stab into with the fork , half of them bounced of the plate they were that hard , ordered gammon steak ? There’s none.. ordered sausages and mash ? There isn’t mash !! I think the skinny fries need more potatoes in them , or just stop serving them and continue with fat fries

Overall our experience was a positive one. The staff were friendly, polite and professional. The meal was generally really nice, the only negative.. the main course could have been slightly hotter as it was only luke warm. Other guests said the soup wasn't very warm either.

Really poor. Not impressed with the service and the food. Arrived for lunch with my family, my son and his wife were working so we called in for a quick lunch and drinks. We only ordered two sandwiches and it took over an hour to receive our food which by then was too late for my son and wife. So they left without any food! The pub wasn’t even busy and when the food eventually arrived the baguettes had been over warmed in a microwave and the chips were under cooked. Really poor service, no apology or explanation. Amazing to see the replies from the pub about the poor food and service: we regret to hear that you had this experience with us. Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we can improve. Awful Christmas dinner. Went in on a Tuesday at 3pm, service was really slow, although polite enough. Gap between starter and main course was at least an hour. When it arrived, it was cold or luke warm at best. Parsnips were soggy, roast potatoes were a cheap Aunt Bessie, and one of them so hard impossible to eat. Turkey was just ok, gravy had a thick skin over it, sprouts were cold, stuffing the size of a £2 coin! It wasn't even busy, so no idea why it took so long and was so cold. Flagged as never return for food.

Absolutely appalling. We booked for 7pm and had pre ordered meals. On arrival we found our table had been given away (because a table of 15 had walked in?!) So we were now on a table that was too small and in the bar. Despite us saying we were ready for our food, the starters didn't arrive till 8.30pm, several had to be sent back (cold soup). We were repeatedly told that our food was "nearly ready" whenever we spoke with staff. Our mains were then another hour later. We actually started a timer on a phone because it was getting beyond a joke. The "manager" didn't seem to know what was going on. When I finally had enough and asked to speak to him, bar staff told me he had left! Despite knowing the restaurant was completely failing to deliver, without even coming to speak to us. We were not offered any apologies or explanations unless we went up to the bar to complain. Half our party had to leave (we all have children so had babysitters etc and were not planning a meal that was going to be 4hrs long!). The remainder of our party got our desserts at 10.45pm! For a 7pm booking!! This was not a fault of the bar and waiting staff who seemed mortified and embarrassed having to deal with it. When you pre order food, you expect that means the kitchen is prepared for your meal. The kitchen should have closed to other orders if it could not manage them. I will never be returning and will be making sure that I share this review far and wide!!!!

Very Very dissapointed !!!!! had to wait much to long as they were'nt even busy !!! Food was awfull, and very cold !!! Pigs in blankets and parsnips not roasted. The turkey was ok But the roast potatoes were tasteless,

Good food nice place, but portions are way too small for the price.

The lady that works here is ridiculously rude. The food was substandard and very very basic. Fries overcooked, burger buns flaky from being frozen and defrosted and the beans look like they've been sat under heat for hours. Can wait ages to be served, but you get ignored.

1. Ordered 3 kids meals, amongst others. One meal came 25 minutes before the other two. 2. Ordered 2 kids desserts - ice cream and donuts. After 25 minutes they had not arrived so I chased. After another 20 minutes I chased again. They came 5 minutes later 3. In chasing these I looked thru the window to the kitchen to find someone and I saw about 10 meals sitting under lamps waiting to be served. So service was appalling - or the place is anti -kids. So much so that I will need to hear good things before going back

Came in for the pub quiz, and was served by Scarlett on multiple occasions. She was very friendly and bubbly. Great customer service skills, I'll give her that. Credit to the pub.

We had a table of 10 booked, there were issues with the food being cold and not up to the standard that I have come to expect- how ever - the staff were brilliant about it and refreshed and apologetic so what was not a great experience was rectified by the team who worked really hard to make the night as special as possible for my friends leaving do. Thank you to the team who worked so hard.

Disappointing visit, walked up to front door to find someone smoking in the entrance between two sets of double doors, entered to pub, not a member of staff in site at 8pm, eventually a member staff came back from the local shop with her coat on and her shopping, 7 different lagers on tap but only actually three available, dirty walls in pub and toilets, real shame could be so much more

I am a regular customer at the station garden over 5 years. So here is another review. Still alot of changes but hopefully will settle down soon. However I feel that some long members of staff have Always been polite and good with my family Especially Scarlett always has smile and very helpful as always. Thanks Dan

We had a group table with three separate orders, Service was ok although drinks ordered on the app took ages and arrived after the meal. The menu options were very disappointing, they were out of stock of rump steak, sirloin steak and hash browns, which halved the menu available and which we were not advised of untill ordering, when asking to exchange my fries to sweet potatoes fries, as they had no hash browns for the burger I ordered due to them being out of steak, they then charged me extra despite the fact I was missing a hash brown! We have generally stopped going to the station garden now as nearly every visit has had an issue. It's a pity as it's right on our door step and has loads of potential to get a great pub but just can't quite make the cut.

Absolutely disgusting service, attitude and food. Totally gutted since the recent staff changes, the atmosphere and general welcome feeling is gone. Won't be going again, this used to be my regular....not any more!

Kids feel very comfortable and fast service for food and drinks which is always a good thing. Don’t know the names of rest of staff but very very friendly all of them.

Absolutely shocking service! Stood at the bar for a good 5 minutes or more with one person being served next to me ,totally ignored by 2 members of staff!!! Then one appears from the kitchen area to ask if I'm being served no I replied to witch I ordered 2 pints of different real ales and a larger after attempting to pull the real ales told they were off. Really a pub that is owned bye a brewery with no real ales. You couldn't make it up. Shocking pub shocking prices shocking staff.

Friendly welcome. Prompt ordering. It was nice that there wasn’t too long a wait for the food. Past experience has been that there could be up to 2 hours from ordering to delivery.

The overall experience was pretty poor. All our food was cold, and quite frankly disappointing. There wasn't any staff around to speak to and we were so hungry we just ate it as the service time took too long. Our 'warm' dessert was freezing cold with a tad bit of warmth and the bottom of the bowl. Our desserts were run out by one of the chefs because the floor staff were again no where to be seen. Really poor time overall. Not sure we'll be back again as in hindsight should of set the food back and asked for a refund.

It's a lovely place, however it was a great tragedy when i discovered there was no station. But there is a garden.

No matter where you decide to go out for a meal at whatever level of dining it is the front of house who lift your experience. Georgina is always a pleasant smile and conversationalist. Georgina should be commended for organising her upcoming festive parties and for making the extra effort to make those real world connections which build a brand.

Thank you to scarlet for the fabulous service today, shes always such a smiley happy staff member to deal with. She gave us lots of information about christmas events that will be taking place this year, and I loved her festive jumper.. first class service, thanks again 👌

Our first time at The Station Garden as we move to Didcot recently. It’s a lovely place, plenty of space, good food and great services. Everybody very friendly. Will be coming back.

Service was really bad. We waited 1hr 25 mins! The table next to us waited 1 he 45 mins AND ordered before us! Whilst the food was tasty it had clearly been sitting on side before served as salad was limp & warm

If you want to eat as a family then don’t bother as food comes out in 10 minute intervals unbelievably bad and slow.

The food was poor quality,the cod was not cooked properly very watery,the salad was pathetic and not fresh,the lasagne was not worth the money unless it was for a child, very disappointed ☹️

Had a nice lunch. Friendly staff. Easy to park. Kids are well catered for on the menu and with a play area outdoors and interactive games indoors. Great value, especially with Blue Light Card discount. Darcy was our lovely waitress on the day.

Had the steak baguette very nice but one criticism is that the baguette was a large hot dog roll , maybe should advertise this as I was expecting a baguette , but the food was very nice

Friendly and efficient service. Georgina took great care to ensure the allergy was catered for correctly and the team were knowledgeable about the food ingredients brought to the table. Was impressed with the specific non-gluten containing menu and very nice to see such a range of gluten free dessert options. Pleasant atmosphere and the food was really tasty! We will definitely be back.

Although the front of house staff were very friendly, our food took an hour on a quiet Friday lunchtime, and all we had was a tuna melt and a baby meal of 2 fish fingers. We didn’t have time to finish it as we had to go because they took so long 😒

Came for a meal after work to save us cooking, meals were cooked by Scarlet. Today was by far the best meal I’ve had here in a long time. The staff are always friendly and attentive.

Staff are nice, The kids area and playground are great. Food can be a bit hit and miss but overall good.

Nice staff once found. Food could have been considerably better and a lot wasn't even available ie. most Sunday roasts/grills etc. Would have spent more, but no point. Lack of staff meant toilets needed attention, waited ages for food/service generally and state of carpets - not nice!!

An excellent Sunday lunch of turkey with all the usual trimmings. Very friendly service from Georgina - it was a nice surprise to be offered a choice of pint glass for my Wainwright's bitter. The food was served very quickly, & it was just enough to leave room for a dessert. It would have been good value at full price, but a voucher for 30% off the price of main courses made it exceptional value. Really nice meal in pleasant surroundings.
