Great place for lunch. The lunch menu was very tasty and great value for money. Lots of choice too. A sandwich drink and chips for £9. Staff were very friendly too.

Driven past for years, but never visited, mainly due to conflicting reports. My Cousin and Wife live off The Avenue, so thought this would be a good place for lunch. Wasn't disappointed at all. Lovely welcome, superb decor, and obliging staff. My husband is a qualified chef, so we are always a bit wary of pub food. He, along with my Cousin's Wife, had the fish and chips, which they said was very good, my Cousin had pie and mash, which he said was one of the best pies he had eaten and I had the flat bread with salad, halloumi and hot honey sauce, which was delicious. They were busy with a party of 20 on one table, but the food was delivered quickly. Would definitely return if up that end of Town. I particularly liked the big space, not crammed in at all. Good value too. Totally recommend.

Nice pub, nice food and atmosphere. Only thing I would say lets it down is the access to get to the disabled toilet. It is an absolute nightmare to get through especially when it's really busy at the bar. Maybe should think about putting the disabled toilet near the car park entrance at the back of the pub.

I have been drinking and eating in this pub for over 20 years and since Billy and his amazing team took over about a year ago I have never felt more comfortable here, the team are very friendly and polite, and always willing to help anyone with anything !!, the food is always served quickly and hot and to an excellent standard, the entertainment evenings are always amazing, I also enjoy the free pool Wednesdays and the meat draw Sundays, the outside space is quite big and the carpark is a nice size to, would highly recommend this pub for food, friendly helpful staff and amazing entertainment evenings I would not go anywhere else billy and his team go over and beyond to make this pub customer and dog friendly

My wife and I decided to eat at the Malvern before the quiz started. Food was excellent and the staff very welcoming as they normally are. The pub is well overdue a lick of paint and new furniture.

First time here in a long time and it was 10x better. The food was great and service too. Great atmosphere for the football. Looking a little bit tired and run down but overall a much better experience

I didn't realise mash potato was such in short supply until having Pie and mash here, it was also is sort of squashed flat to make it look bigger :-) Otherwise it was a nice and reasonable value, particularly if two of you are eating. Nice and polite staff too and spacious place to eat.

Friendly and polite staff the service was great. Ordered mixed grill was served fairly quickly and the quality was tasty.

Niceish garden but with astroturf rather than real grass. Lots of glasses left out on tables that werent collected, tables are all warped.... In the sun? An orange juice was £5 and wasn't even filled to the top?! Nothing special about it for the price either. Drinks prices are slightly deranged. Highlight is probably the clothes donation box in the car park

Had a roast beef Sunday roast good portions, followed by a great pudding, all good. Reasonable price plus cold beer, enjoyed the meal and atmosphere, would recommend this venue.

Poor food non-existent customer service, afternoon wasted. Will not be going back, not once did any member of staff show any interest towards the customer.

Cold meat veg not cooked if that was Sunday lunch I didn't g.o a lot on it deep fried lumps of potatoes they couldn't pass as roast potatoes all in all total letdown

Not been here for a while the staff were very nice. Can't say much about the chef I had pie chips and peas the pie and chips were realy nice but the peas were hard like pellets. Also the chicken on my gfs plate dry with no sauce. It's like the chef didn't want to cook. Our starters were nice had 3 for 13 quid I will say tho the chef needs to learn how to do salt and pepper squid it was far to salty and still had rubber squid insides

This is typical pub food and good value. The service by Jane was very good and she checked we were happy with our meal. The chicken pie was delicious and the veg nicely cooked - not dried out! There is a buzzy atmosphere that did not impinge on our conversation.

Introduction: This was my first time at this theater in quite some time. Welcome: The cashier was very nice. The movie we wanted to see last show was at 3pm but on the website it showed one for 7:30pm. The cashier suggested another movie and my son was okay with it so we stayed. Experience: Overall our experience was a good one. My only issue was the temperature inside the auditorium. It felt like the a/c was on even though the weather wasn’t hot enough for it. Ambiance: The theater was clean including the bathroom which is a big plus for me! The chairs inside the auditorium are recliners with the eating tray attached. You can order food online and have it brought to you which is always a plus! Price: Coming to Malvern Tavern to see the movie was worth the price. We will return Tip: Going at the end of February you may want to take a jacket just in case it’s a little chilly inside.

Came in Saturday for dinner and there was a great atmosphere. The food was delicious and staff very friendly. They had a band on so we decided to stay. Looks like they have some great events coming up so will be back

Booked for a birthday meal. The starters were great, as for the main meals, they were small, warm, the chicken was dry, the fish was cheap, definitely not cod, the pastry on the pie was really thick and inedible. Will not be going again. The staff were ok.

Just returned home after a meal here. It was the worst experience I've ever had in an English pub. There was loud music playing, everybody shouting and dogs barking. What were they even in there for? It was also rather cold. The food arrived reasonably quickly. I had Hunters Chicken, which is usually my favourite, my husband had gammon. His was good, but mine was puny, dried out and contained chicken skin. The chips and onion rings were good though. We could not have the discussion we intended to because of the noise. The waitress was friendly though. We won't be going there again.

A picture says a thousand words. I have previously complained direct to Greene King about the disgusting toilets in this establishment but the place continues to deteriorate whilst introducing premium brands and charging extortionate prices to eat and drink in squalor. I have been assured that everything has been remediated since my visit on 3 February. In fact they have told me in an email on 9 February that “improvements …. have been implemented.” and I will “enjoy a high quality experience on my next visit “ so I will see them tomorrow and update my review in due course. Watch this space as they say. Btw this is no reflection on the manager in situ . I blame the area manager and area director.

Me and my partner stopped off for some dinner and we were welcomed with smiling faces and great service the meal was a good price would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Firstly well done to Billy, Chloe & the team for turning The Malvern around.. We are regulars here and have seen a huge change for the better since Billy has taken over from arranging bingo nights to some great party nights with djs & karaoke.. The staff are always so happy & friendly, nothing is ever to much trouble they all work hard Green King should really appreciate this team!! The food is good & always great deals on drinks & food! OK, bit disappointed with my order £8.50 for a sharer plate of nachos I can ease at myself with not nearly enough salsa, sour cream or cheese left dry tortilla chips had to ask for extra cheese . Sad moment, staff did add extra cheese ,,, very tight with the cheese and salsa. Left feeling I should have ordered something different 🤷‍♂️

Great food great service, but extremely noisy and not a relaxing night out. Thought the staff needed a bit more training as one after another kept asking us when we wanted to order when we had and the minute we arrived and had barely sat down wanted to take our order . The food took ages to come out one of our orders that had kids menu stuff on came out 30 mins after the parents food some people did not get their food until nearly 10oclock when ordered at just after 8pm the bar staff was nice and polite but food came out cold and chewy some people couldn’t even eat their meals due to not being hot also caused a few people to have the sqitts

Came for our work Christmas meal and had a fantastic time. Staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful with people’s preferences and allergies taken into account. The food was delicious and there were great deals on the drinks menus. Highly recommend and will be returning soon

Came here with friends for a meal out and hadn't been in before. I wouldn't rush back, the prices are reasonable however when I went to the bar to order for my friends and I the staff seemed completely clueless. I asked for a Blue Moon on their craft beer section, after a very confused look and checking with their manager who also didn't have a clue and thought it was a cocktail I then showed them on the menu to be met with "sorry we don't have that one" I then asked for another and was met with the same blank look and "sorry we don't have that one either" we settled for a pint on tap instead. We asked for all the food to come out together which it didn't and the portions weren't particularly generous. All in all a very underwhelming experience and not as good as other pubs I've been to in the area

Went up to the Malvern on Friday 27th for the kids Halloween party they honestly all done so well! The managers down there are so helpful towards all other staff was meant to have a day of but instead they would work when needed which was pretty much the whole event! As they done so good down there all kids was happy and parents happy too was an event for everyone! This is an amazing put definitely recommend! Thankyou Malvern and your team!

What a pleasant change this place is undergoing. Finally a management team that appears to know what they are doing! This has been my local since the ealy 80's and as such have seen mainly bad decisions on & off made by the company with management placement. When they did get someone capable they wouldn't do enough to keep them! Recently however this has changed for the good. It has made a huge difference seeing big, smiley, welcoming faces behind the bar. They really want the customers to enjoy their visit and you can tell. I also worked there many, many years ago and have not eaten there since leaving, but now even the new kitchen team have changed that for me. They look professional, CLEAN and happy. The food looks fresh and well presented. HUGE congrats on that! This place has had more managers than Southampton Football Club, but now actually feel that The Malvern stands a chance in becoming a premier league pub again!!! (unlike the Saints unfortunately) Billy is doing everything he can to pop this place back on the map. On my more frequent visits now I often see him in his own time with a paint brush trying to give the place a fresher look (he has his work cut out to be fair and the place really does need a massive spruce up) I've seen more of him and the other new member of the management team Chloe, than Ive seen of the last 13/14 years of previous managers. They are positive, friendly and approachable. Added bonus they both actually work too! Im really looking forward to the changes this place is going through. I just hope the Greene King Hierarchy ethically invest in them & the Pub (financially) to achieve this and moving forward give them all the support they need ( Billy & Chloe could be The Malvern & Greene Kings saviour if given the right support) Leadership is not about a title or designation. It's about impact, influence and inspiration!

We went for a Sunday roast the carrots were so hard you couldn't put your in the carrot to pick up to eat it .frozen cheap roast frozen potatoes processed turkey . will never have a Sunday roast there again 12.99 for a disaster of a meal

Took my wife to dinner here and it was a great night. we had a great meal, we did the thursday steak deal, i had a sirloin and my wife had the rump, both were medium rare and cooked to perfection. We both got the eton mess and it was the best ive ever tried, we are still shocked at the price. Definetly would come back.
