The calamari and chicken Caesar salad are both amazing with a side of zucchini fries. The atmosphere and service is brilliant aswell. I would highly highly recommend

Slow service, waited thirty minutes for breakfast by which time coffee was cold. Food when it arrived was cold and tasteless and left a horrible taste in mouth for rest of the morning. This establishment has really gone downhill and would not visit again

Fabulous time at Amersham House this afternoon. First time in Amersham and we will be back. Attentive service from staff members Gemma and Ilias. Tasty and affordable food. Great management and service throughout our visit. Lovely touch from the team, giving my by mum a birthday dessert without us requesting it. This is a great find for a quick and affordable meal.

Went in for a Sunday breakfast. I ordered a full English Breakfast alongside a skinny flat white. I didn’t want any potatoes so our waitress kindly replaced them with an extra sausage which was great. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and you can tell all waiting staff enjoy working together. They were all very kind and helpful. The same however can’t be said for the management sadly. My waitress asked the manager for some help cleaning a table to which he rudely ignored her and walked away. Not great management in my opinion. Other than that slight flaw it was a great breakfast. Will definitely back again.

A wonderful venue for our bookclub brunch. All of our breakfasts were delicious, lovely great mugs of cuppacino & a glass of bubbles. The champagne breakfast deal is fantastic value for money. Friendly attentive staff, a good experience we will be back !

After reading all the excellent recommendations on Google for Amersham House, I booked our ladies bookclub breakfast here ( they offer a champagne breakfast! 🍾 😍) . Our experience definitely lived up to the reviews, the service was impeccable, the food was fantastic and the bubbles were sublime 👌 The venue itself is surprisingly spacious, and also very welcoming. What an excellent way to start the weekend! 🍾 🥂 I booked ahead by simply phoning them up. Really great experience all round - well done to manager Sam and the team, we will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First time here in a couple of years, my experience then was not great. But wanted to try again, beautiful decor, lovely atmosphere and great food. Very happy will definitely be coming back. Thank you Philipo for the lovely service.

What a lovely place for breakfast!! We were served by a fantastic waitress called Kirsty, she enhanced the overall experience and is a credit to Amersham House. I hope the management recognise and appreciate her. Well done Kirsty.

No atmosphere, totally neutral. At least as Cote it had a character. The food is good, staff great, but zero atmosphere. So many other options in Amersham where it is clear what you’re going to get. The decor is meh, yet you go to the rear and that has @prooer” restaurant potential. They should define the areas; maybe the front more casual car style, bar food. Then make the back a real, cool restaurant. At the moment it’s neither cosy, cool, elegant, relaxed, nothing.

This place has no character. It doesn’t know whether to appear as a cafe or restaurant. The menu us all over the place. The food is good, but that’s not enough. The staff are great (Sidney). But the decor and vibe is meh. They should have the front area defined as a bar, relaxed area. Bar food. And the back, which is elegant, as the proper restaurant. At the moment it’s got no definition.

Unfortunately, avery large table of 14+? seems to have put the kitchen under pressure. As a result, we had a wait of over 1.5 hours for our meals. They ran out of chips (???) so we had to wait for a delivery to get ours. No criticism of the manager and staff who continually came to us to apologise. In particular, waiter ‘Phillips’ was exceptional. An offer of a free desert for our granddaughter was accepted and appreciated. There are obvious system failures in the booking process versus kitchen capability which need addressing but the food is good and value for money.

I highly recommend Amersham House for brunch, dinner or even coffee with locally crafted pastries. The price is very reasonable for the area, the food is excellent, very tasty and plentiful. We have come here many times and are always warmly welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is delightful - they have some of the best burgers. Sam was attentive and thoughtful with his table service. 🤩

We went as a family and had a fantastic experience. The management team was exceptional and very helpful. We enjoyed the best food and ambiance one could hope for. The price and food served was outstanding.

I took my mum here today before a hospital appointment that she wasn't looking forward to. She is a fussy eater but absolutely loved it, best creme caramel she has ever had !! We ordered from the lunch set menu which is fantastic value for money. Also the staff are lovely. We will be visiting again soon.

Great ambiance and customer service

I've been here a few times now and never been disappointed, lovely place and great food! The team are very attentive and create a very welcoming atmosphere. On my most recent visit, one of the team caught wind that my cousin and I were there catching up after months of not seeing each other and in that time she'd got engaged. He very kindly offered us each a glass of prosecco on the house, which was such a lovely thing to do. Have already booked to go back for a 30th birthday breakfast with my family, highly recommend!

I recently had a lovely lunch at Amersham House Amershm and wanted to share my experience. The atmosphere was cozy,I ordered the tuna nicoise and a welsh rarebit sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The tuna nicoise was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the welsh rarebit was cheesy and satisfying. Overall there menu and service were top notch, really a perfect place to visit in this summer

Great ambience, nice staff. Our first time there but were impressed with cozy atmosphere. Sam who is the manager, was great in customer service. He looked after us well during our son's art exhibition and offered us a free drink too. Will go again in future.

Sam was very friendly and accommodating even though there was a private event …he went out of his way to be welcoming and very friendly.Next time will defo try the food

Popped in for a snack lunch and chose the chicken liver pate with sourdough plus a coffee. Best pate I’ve tasted! Nicely served and friendly service.

First time back since this was Cote (we REALLY loved Cote so was a bit apprehensive, hence we left it for a while) Very glad to report that the food was excellent, the team were all super friendly, and we loved the artworks now on display. The confit duck leg was top notch, as was the pesto linguine with grilled chicken. We also had a potato carb fest of sides, plus minted peas were delish. 😍 Of course the best part was the Margarita and Mojito 🍹🍸😁 Looking forward to our next visit. Well done Amersham House team.

The restaurant offers excellent food with a welcoming atmosphere. The service is outstanding, and the staff is friendly and always smiling, enhancing the overall dining experience.

I visited the restaurant for lunch without reservation and the team was kind to find me a table during the rush hour. I ordered Pork belly and scallop and the Pork belly was the best i ever had. Special thanks to Mr. Sam for the great customer service and going over and beyond to help and provide best services.

My cousin and I went there on Saturday food was good and service was too, very attentive and Sam the manager was very nice.

I visited here with my father to give him a wonderful and memorable Father's Day gift. Even though the floor was quite crowded, the staff did their best to serve us. The atmosphere, food quality, and their courtesy were all exceptional and deserve appreciation. Congratulations to the whole team!

Terrible experience. Sat down at half 11 for breakfast and were asked immediately what we wanted to drink. It took 15 minutes or so to recieve our coffees however and we had to ask to order food. By half 12 we asked how long our food would be and were told it was coming immediately. 15 minutes later two small plates of food arrived. The poached eggs were overcooked and the avocado was a smooth paste, almost like the kind you'd buy from a supermarket. The vegan sausage was a hard patty that was obviously a frozen one, and the bacon was apparently fatty and tasteless. We ate because we were very hungry and had waited over an hour and 15 minutes at this point, but were extremeley disappointed in the dishes. They removed the food from our bill which was really the only acceptable thing they could do at this point, but we definitely wouldn't come back. The table next to us also waited as long without any updates from staff.

A beautiful and serene atmosphere which is handled by the owner/manager and staff in an excellent manner. It's one the perfect places for friendly catch-ups, grood food and great customer service. The food and drinks are budget friendly and the ambience is a perfect backdrop to enjoy with family and friends as well. This quality makes it kids friendly. Talking about the food and drinks would have me speechless. Overall it is PERFECT.

..the food is good.. But a friend asked to check my patience here.. .but it was just to make me experience otherwise, actually.And some dishes were unique and treated my palette with a blend of meticulously and artistically mixed spices.. And..I found a neat place with almost everything knitted well to hang around and dine out.The aesthetic design of the Juniper green theme gelled with the wood polished-combinations around is classic and authentic. In a way, the exprience we took out was worth a visit and we expect the same warmth from them the next time, as well.. if not I will not step in, then..and I am dare to give the worst review.coz I have not seen consistency in some other corners of the city(don't want to tarnish them now.again. ) and stopped even my friends, going there So . Hope you keep the standard.thats more important.you stay good.good for you good for us.., if not, otherwise 😀 ..a.must go place.. good experience overall

A really good vegetarian breakfast, excellent food freshly cooked and delicious eggs, avocado and vegan sausage amongst a good plate of food. The drinks were a little delayed, food arrived before drinks, but staff were good and a really pleasant place.

I visited this restaurant the other day and was served by a lovely lady called Bethan! Her immaculate speedy service and positive friendly attitude really made my dining experience one to remember. She was very attentive and made sure all my needs were met! Thank you Bethan for your lovely service, I cannot wait to come back!

Delicious lunch on Easter Sunday. Starters came quickly as did our mains. Courteous staff. We skipped dessert as already full and had Easter treats at home but they looked delicious when served to others.

Have eaten here on past occasions and despite being quite expensive enjoyed lunch and menus. Today the set menu offered very little to choose from as it reflected inexpensive food choices. Chose from the a la carte: one of the dishes chosen was belly of pork which had to be sent back as 80% was fat and left with possibly 4 bites of pork. Two minute steaks then ordered which were fine but quite expensive (£16 each). Calamari pretty good (£9) but drinks very expensive - small glass of house wine £6.75, Vodka and tonic £7.10. Staff very pleasant but restaurant devoid of customers indicating probably too expensive for what is being offered. Will probably try other restaurants in town due to being a bit underwhelmed on this occasion.

We ate at AH on Saturday. Initially we were pleased as we were given a bigger table, but then things deteriorated somewhat. The bottle of water we asked for was unceremoniously dumped on the table in front of us and then one of the starters we’d ordered was brought out ahead of the wine. When the mains arrived one of the dishes was missing and annoyingly we got the obligatory “how is everything?” question before we were able to start eating the main. Overall we felt we were being hurried along which wasn’t appreciated given this was a Saturday night and we were out to have a relaxed meal. In fairness when we said as much after the main course the service became more relaxed. Having looked at other reviews I am wondering if the staff are overcompensating for some complaints about slow service. Aside from the gripes on the service the food was good and we mostly enjoyed our visit.

Family group of 7 with 2 children aged 15 months and 5 we waited 1hour and 40 minutes from time of order to food on the table. No starter, we didn’t order pudding as we didn’t know how long that would take. This is unacceptable especially for feeding young children. No one gave an explanation till we complained. We have been before and wait was bad. Thought it was a one off but no. Will not be going back again.

Lovely food, nice atmospheric, pleasant staff, dog friendly! What let them down was how slow the service was. Waited one full hour for 3 english breakfasts. Had to flag the waitress down to order them and saw other tables have the same issue. If they sped things up it would be a great spot!

We popped in here Asked for table Window seat free- asked can we sit here? Yes Ordered coffee Eventually having been ignored after sitting for a while. Waited waited Coffee sitting waiting to be collected on the bar getting cold. Some people walked in- a man came to us and said We should not have been seated in window seat- it should have had a reserved sign (it didn’t). Basically move… No suggestion that the people who wanted the window seat could be asked to sit somewhere else? Or apology and let me do this for you to compensate for this.. Nope We needed to move In front of other guests… Was really horrible experience and we still hadn’t got our order! We got up and left We didn’t get our coffee This used to be lovely but now has an air of snooty, condescending service ( the very best places never have this(. And it’s not even good service Humiliating Upsetting Never again Worst case of bad customer service I’ve experienced for a while Rude Condescending Thoughtless handling of situation

Very average. Expensive for what it is and waitress huffing when we asked if we could order the kids food first. Didn’t feel very welcome.

I did write directly to Amersham house after the meal because it’s difficult to complain when you are with company but had no response so sadly a negative review here. Service was slow, drinks delivery was all mixed up but the worst part was the fish stew. No mention of potatoes in the ingredients list on the menu but in the end the dish was more like potatoes in a tomato sauce with a sea food garnish. To not mention the ingredient that makes up 50% of the dish is not on. When it did arrive it looked like it had been standing on the pass for at least 10 minutes. don’t think I’ll be rushing back which is a shame because the decor is very nice.

Food was nice and the restaurant was well presented. The staff were pleasant and well presented when in the restaurant, but when they went out the back they were making such a ruckus that they could be heard in the restaurant and it felt more like being in a pub. Unfortunately there was no grown ups around to tell them to keep the noise down and it completely changed the atmosphere.

Last night we had a fantastic meal out at Amersham House. Our waiter Alex was attentive and friendly, so we felt nicely looked after. The restaurant was busy for a Monday so had a good vibe. The food was lovely, starters nice and crispy and the mains were delicious! I would be more than happy to return and I am already looking forward to my next visit :) thank you!

I stopped by Amersham House for a quiet lunch which was interrupted by the aggressive tone of the manageress, Leena as she barked orders to her staff which seriously horrified me & ruined the meal. The young staff are well trained & very courteous but I doubt very much they’ll have the staying power to carry on working in such belittling conditions. This woman seriously needs to be taught how to manage & motivate her team to keep their spirits high as she would get much more back if she didn’t treat them in such a disparaging & totally unacceptable manner

I go there fairly often with a good friend or small groups of friends. Consistently pleasant. Amiable and attentive service. Comfortable ambience.

Went here for an evening meal between Christmas and New Year with my husband, dad, and our dog. Service was brilliant, staff are super friendly, food was delicious and drink choices were great. Venue is clean, lighting is lovely and decor is nice. We sat in the window seat looking at the pretty Christmas lights in the old high street. Two of us had the set menu. Salmon croquettes and mussels, which were both scrumptious. Then, one of us had the half chicken off the a la carte. We all had desserts - chocolate fondant and creme caramel. Lovely!

Dreadful. Waited 45 mins for a coffee and then were charged for service!! Suffice to say, we had that removed and won't be going again.

Unfortunately we had a really poor meal here. At 7.30 on a Saturday night the only steak option was fillet. When it finally came, 2 hours after we had arrived it was the worst piece of steak that I have ever eaten. Mine was totally overcooked and chewy and my friend’s was stone cold. The staff are all really welcoming and helpful but the service is really slow. I had heard mixed reports before we went but we were happy to give it a try. Unfortunately we will definitely not be going back. A wasted opportunity at a nice venue and location in Old Amersham.

We had lunch as a large group. The food was delicious, service was quick and most importantly the staff were brilliant. Can’t fault anything, recommended.

Good location near car park on busy main road of Old Amersham. Previously called Cote, and recently refurbished, this nice restaurant is popular and continues to deliver to high standards. The friendly staff contribute to a welcoming and professional ambiance. Prices are reasonable with a modest 10% service charge added.

Starters arrived before drinks Chicken was a tad undercooked Ice Cream had hair in it. The staff are friendly and do try, overall not bad.

Came in unexpectedly a few weeks ago and was greeted by a beautiful waitress with lovely green eyes. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and I loved the warm interior. Unfortunately the food took a very long time to arrive. I tried to speak to management however they were not very helpful. The waitress was very helpful and tried her best and recommended the pear and berry crumble which was delicious. If the food had arrived quicker it would have been 10/10 but I would come again. My wife and I called in here on a spur of the moment. Really loved it. I had the fish stew and my wife had beef bourguignon. Both very good. Very friendly staff.

This is my second visit since it became Amersham House and I find it a pleasant place for a quiet meal. The food is good and the staff are excellent. I do think it's a little expensive for this type of restaurant.

Excellent service, decor and seating. I had the calamari starter, which was very tasty and mostly perfectly cooked although a couple were chewy. One of our party party had the tomato soup which she was very impressed with. My main was a little disappointing, but this wasn't helped by the fact that I couldn't have the red pepper sauce as they upset my stomach. However, it was also let down by the potatoes being very under done. The Merlot was nice if rather pricy.

Awful , the restaurant was basically empty on a Saturday night but there was still multiple dishes missing from the menu. They didn’t even have fish and chips. Rubbish , avoid!’
