Francisco Lounge in Mid Sussex

Came here on Sunday morning for brunch and was nice and relaxed. Quiet then would have expected. Food came in good time and was some good things for kids.

Loved this place and the food was really good.

A good range of tasty vegan food. A nice range of drinks, if a little pricey. Service was very quick. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. The place is very attractively and quirkily decorated, spacious with plenty of seating, and is a lovely place to spend an evening with friends. Please note the toilets are upstairs, not sure if there is a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Superb place, very San Fran indeed.

Just stood for 5 minutes in front of the big sign telling me to wait to be seated. The place was virtually empty and there were staff faffing about at the other end of the bar but none of them seemed to find it necessary to come and greet me and find us (self and 2dogs) a table, so eventually we left and I had coffee at Caffè Nero, across the road. Won’t try again.

Mother's day brunch, will be going back for an evening out there

Love this place. Great food and drink, great atmosphere and great staff. I love it so much that i go twice a week every week.

Thought I'd give this place a go as its local and looked interesting. I liked the decor and the atmosphere of the place. I used the app to order a burger meal and a small soft drink. The chips were cooked and seasoned to perfection, I just wish there were more of them! The burger patty was tasty, and I liked the fact that the vegetables and brioche bun tasted fresh. My only minor complaint would be the squeezy ketchup bottle was messy and not closed properly and one of the waiters appeared to be a little messy looking & too loud (no need to shout across the room). I'm looking forward to coming back to try out the other dishes. Glad to have another great place to eat out in Haywards Heath. 17/06/23 - Tried the Full English and it was divine! Best FE breakfast I've had in a while.

Had a great time at the quiz on a Wednesday, staff were great, quiz host was fantastic. Service and atmosphere was great on a Saturday afternoon too! Food was ok, wouldn't recommend the Lounge eggs as comes with very little anything for the price. Lounge breakfast looked good and drinks were amazing.

Such an amazing and relaxing place certainly will be popping by again

We have visited before however service and food quality has declined since it opened. Today it was relatively busy but the guy seating customers had a very negative attitude. Two ladies who found themselves a table without waiting were greeted with "I see you decided to ignore my sign then". They apologised saying they hadn't noticed and asked if they could still have the table. Our food, two sandwiches took quite a while to arrive and were bland at best. Disappointing, hope it was a one off.

Good place offering quality food fairly priced, and a lively atmosphere. I love the quirky, fun deco, and the location is perfect too for a work day out and for running errands.

Great food. The nasi goreng was very good as were the burgers. The service was slow though, and they got the order for the chicken shawarma wrong three times. Getting drinks is easier to go to the bar but even then it's pretty slow. Happy to return though, menu is varied and the food is good

I have popped into Francisco Lounge Haywards Heath a few times for breakfast or lunch and found it to be very pleasant and enjoyable. Last night however we booked in as a table of nine for an evening out. My primary complaint is not being warned when we booked that almost the entire restaurant was booked by a large party for a private event involving a quiz night. In consequence, placed in the middle of all this we couldn’t hear ourselves think and our attempts at conversation were totally drowned out by the quiz master. We really should have been told in advance that this was happening and given a choice. I know they had a great night which is super - but we didn’t. I was also disappointed in the food ( which has previously been good). Last night my chicken was dry, my husbands smoked salmon had an odd pre-frozen texture and the desserts we ordered were incredibly small in portion size. Upon seeing them the rest of our party decided not to bother ordering them. Sticky toffee pudding was dry with virtually no ice cream despite great flavour. The cheesecake portion my friend ordered was minuscule. Sadly drinks were poor too. I had the worst mojito I’ve ever had - it was completely tasteless and I’m not sure what tonic was in my G&T, but again it was tasteless and it totally drowned my gin. Please bring me my gin and the tonic in a separate bottle so I can make my own choice ! No lemon either. All in all a poor evening. I’m sure I will come back for coffee, or soup and a panini, but I won’t consider returning for an evening out again.

Very enjoyable meal - it was a quick in and out for us but we plan to visit again when we have more time.

The lady who greeted us was lovely. Very helpful. The whole process of ordering via a QR code worked well but we were told we could also order at the bar too. Drinks came out quickly and food soon after. Very pleasant and relax visit. They were out of stock on the vegan cake I wanted sadly. Good vegan options although I wish they would bring back the vegan hot dog.

Great food and service. Menu had an excellent variety, and we had a nice time. One small comment would be the table height isn't great for highchairs (too high in comparison!)

We went in for a quick bite, but then decided to have breakfast. The service was pretty quick for being full up and the gent who greated us had a great sense of humour. Great full English. Thank you for accommodating us with pushchairs.

This place has really improved. When it first opened the menu was ridiculous either American, French, Asian, Italianx, India styles all competing and nowhere can do everything without it all being mediocre. The menu has now been simplified and the food was good quality and value

First visit to this restaurant and I was impressed. Staff very friendly and welcoming and food was excellent. It's a little on the expensive end but then you do get what you pay for and for all of the above reasons, it's well worth it. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Half term very full not enough staff. The staff were amazing considering they were under so much pressure. Ran out of food some dishes not available. Would go back as I had Lebanese falafel which was lovely.Healthy and fresh.Staff helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

So much on the menu didn't know what to choose! Liked ordering from phone straight to table too. Should be an option to tip at the end of meal electronically too.

My first visit here. Food is to me somewhat subjective, what appeals to me may not be to you so this is a very general review. We just had breakfasts both the large and ordinary plus an 'allergy free' one for our celiac family member. Our breakfasts were ordered and paid for using the phone app at the table however the allergy free one has to be ordered at the bar and paid for there so be aware. The quality of the food and quantity were good in all cases. My large breakfast was 2 eggs, 3 back bacon, grilled Tomato, black pudding, 3 hash browns, mushrooms, beans (I declined these as they are the food of the devil), two sausages and 2 toast. Tea etc was taken at a separate cost. My only slight annoyance was the sausage it was a very fine cut and I prefer a more coarse cut traditional style . Otherwise all was good the hash browns were crispy and the food was warm. Service was wonderful, polite, friendly and helpful and a real credit to the place! Perfect for a working breakfast meet up, early meet after the school run or just a morning social. I will return but try a later visit and sample the beer !

Good ambiance. Not too loud and food was good. Loses a star as the table was not clean and I had to ask for it to be, which they promptly did.

Went here after going to the harvester and seeing a rat and needless to say I wished I come here first the team are lovely and the food is amazing thank you!

Nice range of lunch stuff here and a brilliant hour spent with a good service from the Lady on duty there at the time, first time here but all good with the lunch items bought and had, would come back here again when next in Haywards Heath.

This place Deny us (me and my daughter) a place to seat for lunch, because they only have place for 4 people!!???!!! Disrespectful and rude and not intelligent managing because how they can calculate how much I would spend in a lunch or if 4 people only wanted coffee!!??!! Don’t recommend at all

We visited this restaurant yesterday afternoon for a late lunch. The service was polite and we ordered quickly. However the food took much longer than expected to arrive and each main course was lukewarm, which was disappointing. I would have sent mine back to the kitchen to be reheated, but as it was a rare steak it would have returned overcooked. Such a shame as my food experience of other branches of this chain has definitely been better. Maybe chef was having a bad day in the kitchen or the waiting staff forgot to bring us our order in a timely fashion - who knows? But overall it was a disappointing experience.

Usually great service but today, awful. Got told they were seating people behind us in the queue first because we were only a table of two not a table of four and there was only a table of four empty. We left. Sadly after 15 or so good visits we won't bother again. Not customer service at its finest.

Nice combination of comfortable lounge chairs, dining table and chairs or and a bar and stools.Theres no excuse not to rest those legs and get some refreshments from their mouth watering menu. Enjoy!

Had a late lunch here this afternoon. Got a very warm welcome from the lad behind the bar which was very much appreciated. We both ordered flatbread, I had the new Lamb Shwarma one which was delicious and my friend had the Beetroot & Crispy Chickpea one which she also said was lovely. The place is fascinating. .. great decor and a really great place late afternoon. Looking forward to going back 👍👍👍

Everything apart from the acoustics are fabulous. The sound level is atrocious. Don't go if you want to talk. Following up on the reply.. the hard furnishings everywhere mean sounds bounce off and affect everyone. My office at work had a call centre like this, so customers complained of the background noise. Bringing some soft furnishings in reduced the problem. Hard floors and hard furnishings produce an acoustic environment that is not conducive to conversation. Similar to when you move into an empty flat.

Good food, sensibly priced and tasty

The food is usually good or very good, for our visit yesterday it was superb!! The team are always lovely, really care about your visit and experience. We have our favourites but they’re all a lovely bunch. Highly recommend!

I had a great breakfast/brunch while I got on with some work. The staff member serving me was very attentive and got me a pen 🖊 when i needed one. A good experience and the place had a great atmosphere that I wasn't expecting.

Great new restaurant a welcome addition to the variety already in Haywards Heath but this one is a little different in a good way. Reasonably priced for the quality of food and service is friendly and straightforward ordering from the table via qr code if you wish. I’ll be going back

Francisco Lounge is very much like Alcampo Lounge; same menu but it has a slightly smaller footprint. So you can expect the same good quality of food and service here.

Another spontaneous visit to the lounge close by to our home!

The best thing about Francisco Lounge for me was that they did Brewdog on tap. The rest was very dissapointing. No atmosphere and service without a smile, staff who clearly didnt want to be there. We had some tapas and mac n cheese. 2 x tapas were nice but the 3rd was just watered down Feta with 2 x pieces of hard bread and the mac n cheese was about as basic as it could be. We had a glass of rose which was fine and then a glass of malbec which tasted horrible, almost undrinkable. I won't be returning in a hurry!

Feel this place us let down by the struggle in busy periods. Cold food and a long wait. Started off with not so welcoming staff and very blunt interations. Prompted to tip on the app before service is received? Not for me. The lack of thought when sitting customers with dogs near people who are already eating wasn't to present for myself either

Went in for drinks for the first time with friends. They did not get our coffee order right first time, but it was good when we had the right drinks. Husband was not keen on the alcohol free beer he tried, he will try a different one next time. Decor is really good. We will try the food next time.

It was quite noisy but I did enjoy myself. The food is very good as well and reasonable. Would go again.

The background music was not very good quality and a bit too loud and bassy

Food was okay tasteless but edible. The staff were okay. 2 orders were messed up and one of my items was forgotten about completely. Would not recommend compared to other places but it was edible so was not a complete waste.

Disappointing breakfast today. The mushrooms had no flavour, the bacon was dry and the egg was the smallest fried egg I've ever seen.

Lovely range of foods and incredible flavours. Extra-attentive staff and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Also some good deals on at certain times, eaten here three times now, and every dish I have had has been immaculate. As a chef, I can’t fault this place.

How this place survives is completely beyond any good sense! This was our first visit and it will be the last! We waited to be seen to, and were shown to a table by a young man. As I am somewhat disabled my partner went to the counter to place our order. Nothing too complicated - a Croissant and Butter, a Gluten Free Flapjack and two Lattes. The waitress behind took the counter took the order and my partner returne to our table. TWENTY FIVE minutes AFTER placing the order and not having received anything, my partner went to the counter to ask about our order and was told that AS SHE HAD NOT PAID, THE ORDER WAS NOT PROCESSED!!! She had not been asked to pay!! So, speaking to the very same waitress, she paid. Finally, 10 minutes later the stuff arrived, minus the Croissant. After a few minutes my partner again went to the counter to be told that as she had not paid for the croissant, that order had not been placed!!! So, she repeated the order and paid! Finally the croissant (a plain one), arrived. I wish we hadn’t bothered! Frankly Cafe Nero (across the road) or ANY OTHER coffee bar would’ve been a thousand times better! The coffee was like jazzed up dishwater, the croissant was burnt with a sprinkling of icing sugar to cover up the burnt surface. The Gluten Free Flapjack caused my partner to have an allergic reaction! (So, was it really Gluten Free?????). In effect the order had to be placed several times before being satisfied!!! AND no serviettes or napkins were provided. Astoundingly, the place was not particularly busy but very noisy. We cannot recommend this place, and get excellent food and beverages from anywhere and everywhere else in South Road! WE WILL NOT BE USING THIS PLACE AGAIN! WE HATE TO THINK WHAT WOULD’VE HAPPENED IF WE’D ORDERED A COMPLICATED MEAL!!! Oh, as we complained about the service and the “croissant” we were given a refund. Thank you Mr. Manager. Best of luck… Can’t see this place surviving once the novelty factor wears off! Too much and far better competition!!!!!!

One of my favourite places for brunch in HH. Food is always perfect, staff are very friendly and service is quick. The lounge group are are always brill and I'm glad HH has one now! The perfect place to meet a group of friends.

We tried out this venue last week. Went during the week for lunch with our newborn. Such friendly staff, good service, food was good, a tad on the expensive side. But had alot of choice. There was an issue with mine but they were very helpful to correct this. Space is good for a buggy. Would recommend. Il be back to try some of the other dishes.

Beautiful place, a nice mix of colors and objects selected with very high taste. Fantastic food, we had eggs and bacon and pancakes with bacon, great coffees too. The staff is incredibly courteous, helpful and professional.

The menu was poor. I wouldn't rush back to eat but imagine it would be quite nice for an evening drink particularly this time of year withe the front open.

Food and drink is poor quality and very over priced. We got hardly any salmon or bacon which were the main parts of our breakfasts.

Good menu, tapas is really tasty and a good deal. Drinks are OK but there is a good choice. Service is OK but always seem understaffed. Wait a long time for cocktails.

We've been multiple times to Fuego lounge in Lewes and have visited Francisco lounge in the past. We ordered a takeaway meal online and even though we arrived 5 minutes after our selected pick up time we had to wait another 10 minutes for the food to be ready. When we arrived back at our car we luckily checked the bag of food and realised that they had forgotten a whole burger and fries! Unfortunately the extra trip back inside meant the food was very cold when we got to eating it.

Had a king-sized full English breakfast that was sufficient to feed a family of four, with a sausage left over for the dog. Top nosh. Only thing I didn't like was ordering via QR code/website, which is never as convenient as table service.

Great lounge! Super friendly, especially lovely with our dog. Service was amazing, nothing too much trouble and the food was good value and speedy.

The decor much better than the food. Had a 'smashed' avocado brunch. Ruined by being served on breadthat definitely wasn't toasted and tasted well beyond its date. However, the pinched egg on top was perfect.
