I enjoyed my time here. A great stop for a nice relaxing cup of coffee.

Popped in as it was close by. Staff very helpfull with questions asked. Service spot on, and full breakfast filled a hole.

Had coffee and hot chocolate. Very nice.

Food was okay. The beans were cold, Richmond sausage, leathery bacon and can't make any changes to your breakfast.

Haven't been for a while brought the full English you have a choice of items however when I asked for some bread and butter instead of toast I was told items cannot be swapped but I had to pay a additional 50p Breakfast was very average the sausages appeared to be the cheapest you could find tasteless ! bacon was ok but i did not feel that good after eating the breakfast after couple of hours ! So i won't be going back here again for a long time i am afraid ! one good point great cup of tea !

Staff alway friendly and good food

Nice and friendly. But im sad to say the ketchup has zero flavour.. im not sure if its been watered down sooo much that its now just coloured water but its a real shame. We need good ketchup, hope they read this

Welcoming and friendly staff, good food & prices.

The place offers excellent value for money when it comes to portion size! The half English I got was huge. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. I also really enjoyed the milkshake. You can tell the products used aren't of the highest quality, but that is obviously how they are able to offer such low prices. I would recommend to anyone looking for a very reasonably priced meal in the area.

Visited beginning of week for a sandwich and drink and decided to go back for breakfast. Very tasty and hot. Polite staff lovely clean little cafe

We got there early the gentleman opened up so we sit inside, worth the wait very nice full breakfast Excellent sausages very nice café made us feel very welcome. Very nice staff will be going back again

The cafe looks a bit dark and gloomy and the decor in the toilet is weird, BUT I had the best ever Brie bacon and cranberry sandwich here. Well cooked and lovely thick bread used to make it. The service was good and it was good value,

Asked for chicken burger with cheese and no salad or sause but got it without cheese and with salad and sause.

Small bap half peace bacon hard egg . Looked very sad . Overpriced for what I got . Won’t be going back . The bakery in partridge Green large baps 3 peace’s bacon 3 sausages and egg for less of a price . This place really needs to up its game to survive . My friends breakfast Tinned tomatoes instead of fresh that says it all .

Eaten here twice and ordered different things both times but sadly all items of food are very bland, portion sizes weren’t great and my wife had to chew most of her smoothie rather than drink it. Was optimistic seeing them under new management but I actually prefer the previous owners food regardless of how unfriendly they were.

Went in for a fry up. Order was slightly mixed and sausage a bit bland. An odd comment but was lacking a bit of grease. Was looking forward to a dirty fry up but tasted almost health. Nice staff and very reasonably priced.

I thought I'd give it another go today, after a long absence, mainly due to the cafe now closing at 3 and a grumpy owner. It would have been packed at this time in the old days but there was only one customer sitting outside when I got there and one more arrived after me. We used to love this cafe and go there at least once a week. Why we don't go there anymore: It shuts at 3 and we used to go after school - there were always other customers. The decor - it's awful - really awful. It offends my delicate eyes. Is it meant to be Halloween style? Don't understand the London Road sign or random pictures arranged even more randomly. I'm guessing the owner is from London, as am I, but we're in Hassocks now - maybe some nice pics of The South Downs? The menu - I'm going to guess you don't sell that many smoothies? There are lots of old people in the village, who liked the old-fashioned dinners and lots of builders who liked the breakfasts. I think you want to specialise in burgers and smoothies? I just paid £3.80 for a veggie burger. In restaurants, the food cost is supposed to be about 10% of the sales cost, it's probably higher for cafe's - allowing for VAT, if you paid more than 31p for the ingredients, I would be suprised. It was a one of those basic catering vegi-burgers, some salad and a bun that had disintegrated before I got half-way through. I tried to add some cheese, but couldn't prize it apart. The previous owners were very chatty and kind and used to give one of their elderly customers a lift home every day. People notice things like that. It seems a bit frosty now. I genuinely do hope you can make a success of this business - we would like to come back - if you'll still have me after this. (You probably haven't sold that many vegi-burgers today!) Had a bacon and egg sandwich the other day and can honestly say best I've had as a takeaway for a long time. Bacon nice and crispy With plenty of it and nice doorstep bread. Coffee also very good. Will definitely be trying their fry up soon

First visit to the corner cafe since the change over of ownership. We both opted for one of the greasy fry ups (which, to me anyway, the corner cafe used to be known for). The food tasted relatively the same as it used to which is great, however, it cost almost double the price. £20 for a breakfast these days is standard but when it used to cost £10 for 2 and the quality hasn’t changed, we were both a little disappointed. The corner cafe is now an actual cafe offering limited breakfast options (I think 3 - 1 large, 1 small and a veggie option) compared to the 10-15 or so previously on offer with the option to add extras and customise each breakfast. The food on offer is definitely more gentrified with customisable panini’s and small cakes to accompany an overpriced coffee. All in all an average visit. Probably won’t be rushing back in a hurry. Shame to hear the previous family have moved on - used to be the best place in Sussex for a fry up, now not so much.

New management for 2020: After the refurbishment and new menu, not disappointed at all. The full breakfast is great value and superbly cooked. Really fast and friendly service with well thought out one way system for social distancing. Really clean, nicely decorated and a great traditional cafe.

ae have been going to the cafe on a regular basis for years but since it's been taken over by new owners it has gone down hill... new owners are polite but dont seem to know how to run a cafe... the quality of the food has gone down hill... they dont seem to understand the menu that was in place when they took over... such a shame as this was a lovely cafe... crossing fingers that they work it out soon...

AMAZING BREAKFAST!!!! Seems to have recently been taken over by new owners, lovely little find and the staff were really friendly. My partner had the omelette which looked and tasted great too. Busy busy place, will be back 😊

We popped into the corner cafe as we were told it was under new ownership. There are two lovey waitresses Tegan and Megan who did a fantastic job. Food was lovely and we look forward to coming back. Good luck to the new owner, you’re doing a great job!

I let my husband google and choose a venue for breakfast as he is a man who loves going out for breakfast. It was ok. The menu was as long as the M1 but the choice for breakfast - other than basic cooked - was non existent The food was pretty basic. Well cooked. No local ingredients. I opted for an omelette which was quite nice. No comfortable atmosphere. Nothing to really recommend it. Won't be returning I'm afraid.

Very expensive- I don’t think that the management have a pricing structure or menu that is standard of ‘NORMAL’ cafes; I had 2 poached eggs and 2 rashers of bacon on toast with a coffee for £9.20 ! I ate there anyway as was the only option as I needed my tyres replaced- The set breakfasts only had one egg, bacon, sausage even on the biggest breakfast options, this is mental; if you want extra bacon is £1.20 per rasher and £1.20 per egg this is mental, I think they need to look at competitors pricing structures and what constitutes a ‘big breakfast’ - staff friendly though!!!

Visited Sunday lunchtime on an unexpected visit to Hassocks. Enjoyed the experience, usually find UK cafes go for over complicated sandwich’s, not here, a good selection with some good old staples. Cofffe was good and services was friendly. Obviously a popular place with the locals which is always a good sign. Would go back again

An unreserved five stars for generous portions at a fair price. The food is always of consistent high quality and served on hot plates which we really like.

Called in today 31st January 2019 ordered the biggest breakfast which comes with tea but I don't like tea so had to pay extra for coffee has I'm coeliac can't products with gluten in them. There is no allergy advice in the cafe and the staff don't understand, i asked for no bread but yet was still given fried bread ,the coffee was nice but that's about it, won't go here again.

This is a firm fave with my boys and I rate the all day breakfast quite highly: it could only be improved with black pudding in my opinion. Great value, always good service, goods is well cooked and nicely presented.

Visited on a quiet Sunday morning. Reasonable price for the food (about £5 for an adult breakfast) with vegetarian options. Machine coffee was also nice. Looking forward to visiting again.

Great coffee and the food is very good too. Excellent service as well. I was introduced to the cafe by a local entrepreneur, who often lunches there before playing golf.. He often enjoys a rock cake after his 2 course meal. My favourite dishes include 'ham, eggs and chips.' I must also recommend the liver which is superb..

Food was fine for the price lovely and hot. Obviously no customer service from staff on the verge of very rude. 50p charge to use card, in 2017? Bit outdated. For the price it’s fine. Could be a lot better and am sure busier if the staff were a bit more friendly and customer oriented. Heard other customers commenting about staff being disinterested. Overall fine for quick cheap food while you wait for your car to be serviced opposite.

Consisting of instant coffee and frothed milk.... for £1.90! This place feels like a forgotten 70s greasy spoon for builders and perhaps I should have just asked for a cup of tea instead...

We have been coming to the corner cafe for over five years. The breakfast is all freshly cooked and very tasty. We have also had various items from the menu at lunchtime and all very good. It is run by a lovely Turkish family, who are always so friendly and accommodating. There is such a good choice on the menu. You won't be disappointed.
