The Devils Dyke in Mid Sussex

Fantastic ambiance, attentive staff, and delicious food made my visit end the Devils Dyke unforgettable. Ruby is a wonderful person. Highly recommend!

Ramona served us today and she was always smiling and very helpful. The food was amazing, thanks to our chef Archie. We brought our friends here and as always leaving very happy.

Lovely old pub, good traditional food, Hot and flavoursome and really great service from Sue. A nice place for lunch and a dog walk.

They were extremely busy as it was the Saturday of bank holiday weekend over Easter. Our server Ruby was friendly and chatty and took her time to make us feel welcome. Food all good

Service was good bearing in mind how busy it was. Cheerful polite service and apologetic for delay - however was reasonable considering.

We had a lovely and unplanned visit to devils dyke over the Easter Bank holiday weekend. With special thanks to Sally & Jack for ensuring our daughter’s diary allergy was taken extremely seriously when ordering and everything double checked before brought to our table. Dinner out is not always easy with twin 11 month old babies however Sally made us feel so welcome. Food & Service was amazing & food brought out super quick. Thankyou for a great visit - as always.

We had a lovely meal and the waitress Ramona was wonderful she is credit to the restaurant. Lovely venue with a beautiful view highly recommend. We all had the pie of the day and it was amazing.

Great interior, steady service - I had the fish finger sandwich which was delicious, did seem like the oil in the fryer needs changing as my goujons came a browny/black colour as opposed to the usual golden colour. Location is great. Sally is efficient, Stuart’s food was good if not for the issue mentioned above!

Had a lunch meal here, the pub is in a nice location, it’s clean and the food although a bit expensive is good. Check their web site as there are some good deals, we got 40% off mains.

Not only is the view breath-taking, but their roast dinner is delicious. I would highly recommend going for a walk at this National Trust site and indulging in a beautiful roast dinner afterwards. The pub is also dog friendly and has a dog station! The service was fantastic, I've been three times now and the service was always brilliant and they are very friendly.

Spacious pub at the centre of some excellent Devils Dyke walks and the South Downs way. Excellent food and drink selection with friendly and professional staff. Gets very busy at weekends and in fine weather so booking recommended if you're eating.

Went today with my nan and wife. First time bringing my nan and she loved it. Food was very good, especially the steak sandwich. However, I need to call out sally who served us. She was a phenomenal server, polite and kind. Kept checking in at the right time. Kept us informed if there was a slight delay, a real credit to the team. She made an enjoyable experience even better.

Food exceeded expectations. Spectacular fish and chips and veggie roast. It was so good. Nice atmosphere. Staff could be a tad friendlier. We were also asked if we wanted any sauces but then they never came back with it. They were busy though and we enjoyed the food so much, all was forgiven.

Really enjoyed diving into the Dyke's honey pot. We also skirted the rim of the Dyke, due to the high winds. Plunging in to the valley would have been foolish.

Don't come here if you like cheese on your chips. When asked for cheesy chips they said 'they weren't allowed'. Good views and nice atmosphere though.
