Last evening I asked for any gluten free drinks as I am coeliac 2 managers had no idea what was gluten containing drinks Not one member of staff had any idea and I was told I could drink any wine or spirit which is not the case Very rude and dismissive in front of other customers, unprofessional and ignorant

Love it!!!!! Warm, friendly and welcoming - nothing is too much trouble. The Sunday roast is simply the best around and the rest of the menu doesn't disappoint either. Turned up an hour early for our booking, but were welcomed like old friends. Would rate higher if I could! ❤️🌟

Every time we visit, The Lanes Cafe is our go-to spot, without question. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the ideal setting for a casual meal or a relaxing coffee break. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, all crafted with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented—especially the cakes and bakes A bonus is they offer a pay it forward scheme, which restored my faith in humanity. I particularly loved their afternoon tea, which is both flavorful and satisfying. The staff are friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a leisurely brunch, The Lanes Cafe is definitely a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We were visiting WWT Martin Mere and were looking for a cafe for breakfast to set us up for a day of walking and bird watching. We found ‘The Farm’ online and headed there on our way. When you arrive it doesn’t look much from the outside, but once you walk through the door it is welcoming, cosy and has a lot to offer. We ordered Full English Breakfast and it was very tasty and nicely presented. It came with toast which was a nice bonus, as so many places now you have to order it separately. There is a small farm shop which forms part of the cafe and has a nice range of local produce including small gifts and cards. We bought a couple of Rhubarb Pies to take away with us and they were delicious too! Would definitely recommend this establishment.

The Cottage is a fine example of the great British local. Friendly staff, a decent well-priced pint and a resident cat.

We visited the Highland Drove whilst staying in an Airbnb in the village. We went on a Monday evening and the menu was 2 courses and a drink for £25 ppl. The food was amazing, fabulous quality and very tasty. The portions weren't huge but it is definitely restaurant food rather than pub food. The menu changes daily(I think). I would highly recommend.
