The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Never been a massive fan of a roast dinner carvery but my goodness this place changed that. The food was fantastic could not fault it every mouthful was super tasty. Hats off to the chef and staff who were super friendly and provided a good service. We will definitely be back again and again and again ….

Visiting from another town and could not have chose a better cafe for breakfast. Amazing food and service. Very polite, friendly and was amazing with our husky. Very pet friendly both inside and outside.

Our favourite cafe in the world - amazing milkshakes, great, hearty food! Can't fault it - thanks Sue and Matt for keeping us so well fed this week. See you again soon.

This place has now closed from 1/1/25. Such a shame as many wonderful reviews. Not particularly highlighted as their booking site still states the restaurant is there.

Pizzas are lovely, but ordered online & said 25 minutes for collection, arrived once told it was ready for collection and waited 10 minutes after already telling the woman behind the bar I was here to collect food. Eventually asked what I had ordered and had to name the pizzas and was told they had got stuck to the pan and had to re order and was asked to pay, had to tell the woman I had already paid. Waited 15 minutes for new pizza

I am Gluten free and find it difficult to eat out. At the Albion they went out of their way to make sure that I had everything that I required. My friend and I had a lovely time. Staff are friendly and efficient and really looked after us

Wonderful last minute find. As our plans changed on the day before the Easter weekend we found this lovely hotel online. The staff are very welcoming and professional. The food is amazing! Our room is more like a suite with a king size bed. Beautiful views of the sea and quiet location, couldn't be anymore pleased. Will definitely visit again

Absolutely lovely café and staff. Everything made to order and fresh. We had the full English breakfast, my husband the veggie version and it was delicious! Lovely setting too. Would highly recommend

Stumbled across this place on a beautiful day after visiting Tarn Howes. Lovely spot to sit outside with glorious views of Coniston and friendly service. The fruit scones with cream and jam were delicious and there was a top up of filter coffee. I believe they do lunches with beef and lamb from their farm. Interesting history. Not dog friendly inside.

I would give more than 5 star if I could ! From the moment we arrived the customer service was on point ! The lovely lady at reception showed us around our room ! Very personal .., loved that ! The room was beautiful see the pictures ! The BED !!! Let me tell you this was one of the best nights sleep I have ever had ! I NEED THESE PILLOWS 🫶 The breakfast! The pictures speak for themselves! If you find yourself in Blackpool! Don’t stay anywhere else !

We come to Bakehouse quite often as we love the food. The sourdough bread is so nice and soft! Menu changes quite often so there are always different options every time we go. Never tried one but the cakes also look amazing! One of your favourite brunch/lunch spots in the Lakes 😊🍞 Also- dog friendly 🐕

We spent the night on the way from Suffolk to Cairnryan. Looked good on Booking.com. Found staff very friendly and helpful and dinner and breakfast were good but room was small and dark and M6 provided constant background noise. Also fairlybm chilly as heating wasn’t on and hot towel rail in bathroom was cold.
