Several of us called in the tea rooms on Saturday after a walk up Great Hill with our Golden Retrievers. We were made to feel very welcome. Our Goldies received some Sausage treats which was lovely. Food and Drinks all excellent, a lovely place to visit after a long walk.

We were recommended this tea rooms on our walk by some fellow walkers, so we thought we would give it a try, what a hidden gem this place is! We were a little early prior to opening but the staff still welcomed us in. Lovely cozy place, so much choice of amazing food, huge choice of teas of that's what you're into. We had breakfast which was faultless and the homemade cakes where next level! The staff were so lovely, we really enjoyed our visit and will be back again.

I recently stopped by The Cottage Tea Room in Brinscall and had a delightful experience. I opted for the cheese and onion toastie, accompanied by a refreshing Coke Zero. The toastie was perfectly grilled, with gooey cheese and flavorful onions nestled between crispy bread slices. The portion size was generous, and it was served promptly. The ambiance of the tea room was cozy and inviting, adding to the overall charm of the place. It was a lovely spot to enjoy a delicious meal and I would definitely return for another visit.

Great stop off for a brew and a bite. Staff very friendly. Quirky place and could quickly get full if it’s a warm sunny day as there are nice walks nearby but that should not deter from a visit to fuel up at very reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

Visited for food and a drink which was nice & probably worth what I paid, especially for this area but the awkward atmosphere left me feeling like I wouldn’t want to return here again and really brought down the experience. I felt on edge the whole time I was in there because of the manager. (short white haired lady). We could hear her in the kitchen speaking quite nastily to the young waitresses. She’s got one of those shrill voices that travels. There is a time and a place to reprimand staff and in front of or even within earshot of your customers is just not it. This wasn’t the first time I’ve been in here and heard her addressing her staff over things they have done wrong in front of customers or telling other customers how useless her staff are. The staff present during my last visit were basically just kids and one in particular had tears in her eyes the whole time we were in there. This doesn’t make it a pleasant atmosphere for your diners. This could be a lovely place but it needs a really calm atmosphere given the beautiful surroundings. Such a shame it doesn’t feel like this inside at all. It made me feel quite on edge and I couldn’t get out quick enough.

As promised another enjoyable visit by our group. We had the Toastie, Sandwich and Jacket Potato washed down with tea and coffees, and followed by their Bailey's cheesecake and Lemon drizzle cake. Again complimented with faultless staff service 👏 As this venue is constantly and justifiably busy - do what we've done and book ahead. We are already looking forward to when we can fit in another visit 🙂

We were warmly welcomed to the tea room. The staff are so lovely and friendly. Now to the afternoon tea, was it good? No. It was DELICIOUS . The sandwiches were so tasty, the cake wonderful, the scone so so good. And all served with a tea pot full of good tea. We were asked if we needed any more,ha. We were stuffed. Today was our first time at The Cottage Tearoom and it certainly won’t be the last! Myself, my partner and our dog came and thoroughly enjoyed our ‘all day breakfast’. We were met by two lovely ladies including the owner who I believe is called Janet. They both couldn’t do enough for us :) We had a small sausage for our dog and this was no trouble. Service with a smile, a nice chat and food you don’t even want the ketchup with incase it spoils the flavour! Coffee was second to none also 👌🏼 What more could you want?! Oh and brilliant prices. We both had a cake to take away- I even ordered two as I couldn’t choose as they all looked delicious 😂! Couldn’t fault the place and I highly recommend for a spot of lunch or as we did, a full English. We will definitely be back. Thank you ladies :)

Stopped here on a bike ride around the West Pennine moors for a Latté, Parkin and Cheshire cheese, very tasty and 'moorish' indeed. The waitresses were really polite and atentative. I intially was going to sit outside, but I was concerned about leaving my bike unattended as I had no locking mechanism with me. The waitress informed me that there was a bike rack around the back of the property to store my bike, which was handy as this could be seen by the kitchen staff. The Cottage tea room is a cosy little place in which to stop for a bite to eat,it was very clean and had quite an extensive menu, however that would be worth checking on their website before going for something to eat,as I don't think they have the traditional 3 course meals etc; on offer, although I could be wrong!. I did notice there was a table reservation service. The room itself is quite small ,when I was there it was almost full at lunchtime,so again might be worthwhile booking beforehand. The village of Brinscall is situated in a beautiful part of Lancashire and has quite a few amenities to enjoy if you have a short stop or visit there.

My brother and I have visited The Cottage Tea Room twice - once last summer and the second time earlier today. With the current restrictions in place (plus the change happening from 12 April), I'm writing this review with these restrictions in mind.Currently, it's a takeaway service and only three customers are allowed inside at any one and masks must be worn indoors, but you do feel safe and welcome by the staff. There is a wide range of savoury items available whatever the time of your visit, but this is dwarfed by their selection of cakes.I decided to have the Tea Loaf with Lancashire Cheese on both visits and the portions are both generous and tasty. There is also a wide range of teas, coffees and soft drinks. I decided to try Mr Fitzpatrick's Rhubarb and Rosehip cordial with Spring Water and it was a lot nicer than canned soft drinks. Granted, I had to pay more, but it was nice departure from the norm and I'd love to try some of the other flavours available. With parks and and areas for people to go for a walk on Brinscall's doorstep, this is a nice tea shop to call in at - either with the current takeaway only restrictions or to meet up when things return towards normality.PS - Try the Tea Loaf with Lancashire Cheese. You'll thank me for this suggestion.

A group of us had called in here almost exactly a year before and had a great time just having a beer and watching the scenery. This time we had organised and in informal bowling competition and this venue was perfect for it. We got there early on a Saturday morning so had coffee and breakfast which was top quality and good value. I must make a point about how good the Service is here And we were looked after in a quick and friendly manner. I am a bowling novice but still had an absolutely wonderful time. At Points it was difficult to concentrate on the game as the scenery is so spectacular and other people I know are now going to visit as a result of a video I showed them. the green is extremely well kept and was challenging for me but still fabulous fun. The owners of the club had a chat with us and it is obvious they really care about you having a great time and have very thoughtful about their business indeed. A return visit won't be long off that's for sure.
