Lovely nursery, can always find something to buy, prices are usually cheaper than the bigger garden centres so shop local

Garden Centre is OK. Soup in the cafe was watery & tasteless unable to identify as leek & potato.

Wasn't great. Lots of non gardening tat, including chemically enhanced soaps and moisturisers. Couldn't even get proper gardening clothes, but they did have a designer clothes type section. It was a one way system, like IKEA. God I hate that, being headed through areas of Christmas sale items, that no-one wants. I may try again, in the spring, or summer, but not holding my breath. By the way. They don't take cash. Card or electronic payment only.

Food was really good and reasonably priced.

Small nursery that sells pet and horse feeds alongside plants. Limited range of plants. It was a windy day when I visited and many plants had been blown over. Signs say there is a tea shop on site - but I didn’t spot it - it might have been closed that day. The whole place looks a little run down unfortunately - I guess it’s not in a location where there’s much passing trade. Plenty of car parking. Staff friendly.

Love this garden centre. It's amazing. Ian and the ladies are always so helpful. They know the plants they're selling and so can advise. I've bought alot over the past 2 years and they've blossomed since they were put in. Tbh I didn't even realise I had a garden centre so close to where I live which is fatal for my bank balance but I love it there. The cafe is excellent too and gets busy. Defo recommend the full breakfast and the cakes. Let's keep this gem of a garden centre going. Prices are far better than some garden centres I've visited. Go give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Great little hidden gem of a nursery/garden centre, a really friendly place with fantastic plants and garden accessories. We spent a good while walking around and then we had tea and cake at the brilliant cafe in the garden plant area. Worth seeking out if you are in the Ormskirk area and are sick of big garden centres that all seem to be clones of each other, we will definitely be stopping by again.

Very nice and friendly staff. We like the restaurant . Had a coffee this morning. Plant are good we had blue white and red trailing lobelia plus French marigolds.

Love this hidden gem, not seasoned gardener's, we always end up asking the owner for advice. Don't get me started on the cafe..... amazing food and glorious coffee, both great value for money. Always see a good few cyclists in the cafe, so unsure what the negative post is about.

Been for first time today, had breakfast which was delicious. They have a great selection of extremely good plants for great prices. Definitely going back. Brilliant 😊👍

Popped in to the cafe while out cycling, warm welcome, good service and reasonably priced. Not able to look at the plants etc but from what I could see they looked healthy and a good selection.

Much more than a garden centre. Tranquil, chilled lovely cafe and we'll set out. Brilliant.

Had a really nice tea/coffee. Staff were really friendly. Loads of people had cycled in, I'm not sure what the negative comment in the other review was about. My mums cycling club use it as a stop occasionally & recommend it too! Photos of the garden centre - forgot to take a pic of the coffee!

Great plants we got 2 grape vines 2 years ago. They are massive nos with about 30 bunches of grapes growing on them.

This is a really great little garden nursery. It’s such a relaxed environment to be in . The price of the plants is good in my opinion. The family who run it are very friendly and ready to help. There is also a nice cafe which serves up the usual scrumptious cake with tea or coffee. This is well worth a visit.

Lovely local independent garden centre, with an amazing selection of plants, shrubs etc..at very reasonable prices. A great little coffee shop which does home made lunches and light bites, cakes and hot & cold drinks. A really lovely way to spend a couple of hours, oh and free parking.

Amazing flowers Amazing prices!

Pleasant place to visit with top quality plants and trees : Great quality too, grow their own which is always a good indicator as to whether it will perform in your own garden. But a lovely little place with very pleasant staff and you’re left to your own devices which is great too. Would recommend to all at the drop of a hat. Just a wonderful little place.

Always excellent service from Ian and Mary! We have bought our Christmas tree here every year and they last for such a long time. Wouldn't think of buying from anywhere else! Very friendly staff too - I really recommend this independent garden centre.

Wow what a hidden treasure. Stumbled across by accident, great food in the cafe, warm and friendly people/ staff and difficult not buy something with such a variety of items for sale. Let's hope we can find you again !!

We have been coming to Primrose Nursery for years and get all our plants and baskets here. Ian and Mary( the owners ) are so friendly as are all the staff,. and go out of their way to help. The food and coffee at the Cafe are superb. Ian has been particularly kind to me recently as my husband had Heart surgery. He brought around three beautiful basket for the front of our house and put them up for me. Service with a smile. I highly recommend them. Jill and Phil

Family run business. Friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating is quite sheltered which was great and the bowl of homemade French onion soup was delicious. Lovely place to browse for plants and the shop has some great gift ideas and is well stocked with all things garden

Lovely to stop off somewhere safe clean and covid organised. Freshly cooked food, great teas and coffee. Nothing too much trouble, nice naughty cakes too. Then you can shop for garden stuff and pet food too, not got it they will order for you.

Really helpful staff and no pushy sales techniques

Nice cafe tucked away within the garden centre. They cater for cyclist but miss out on lots of custom as you don't know its there from the main road. Coffee and food are both great and priced well and service is very efficient.

First time visit for myself, called in with a few cycling friends on our way back from Southport. I only had a drink has we had lunch in Southport but we were greated by friendly staff, we chose to sit outside which was still under shelter. Would recommend and will be calling in again.

Its near staff helpful coffee shop open and books to get and swop whats not to like.

Great garden centre and lovely cafe

I had been let down badly by Thompson Morgan who in exchange for a tidy sum delivered a few scraggy plants but mostly stiffed me on the remainder. I phoned Primrose Hill nursery, explaining that I was in the age vulnerable category. The owner, Ian, took my details and then, later that day, picked sixteen plants which he delivered to my car in the parking bay.I realised that I needed compost and he got it for me and brought a card reader to the car and placed it on the boot for me to swipe. The plants, which were incredibly healthy, have thrived and my hanging baskets are a joy. Thanks. Your nursery was a summer saver.

Visited today and was very impressed. Excellent safety measures, social distancing followed, one way arrows around and big plastic screens around payment area. Felt very safe and comfortable. The staff are lovely - very helpful and polite. The plants are very well looked after and of good quality. We didn’t look at prices when choosing our plants today and expected to pay around £45 for them, however we were pleasantly surprised when it came to just £25! My only disappointment was to see that their beautiful cat hasn’t yet been found! We will definitely be back!

Understand delay in delivery with the virus situation but weeks delay NO Other orders from other companies were delivered quickly. As for refund don't understand why it take 5 to 6 day to pay . On 6th day still no refund. Never again

Lovely clean cafe, staff very pleasant, good choice of food, fresh and tasty, and well presented. Downside, we were cold. Asked if the fan heater by the counter could be switched on, unfortunately she forgot to do it!

This nursery is well worth a visit on the run up to Christmas. Staff have spent a great deal of time and effort to ensure there is something for everyone in the family. We spent two hours here and my little girl wanted to go back though again. Although this activity is free to attend it is for charity and any donation is welcome.

Myself and my friend have just been turned away from the cafe as we weren't obviously keen on storing our expensive bikes around a blind corner. We tried in vain to place them next to a bunch of old pallets, but we're told that was soon to be built into a decking area. I mean, seriously, the place was empty and we wanted to purchase some food and drinks only to be met with a very unfriendly welcome. I'll be warning all the clubs in the region to stay away in the future.
