This is related to the cafe . Arrived here for a hot lunch after reading google reviews and was in the area. Sadly was sorely let down for one when you have to wait up to 50mn for two simple meals the staff should remember that a hot drink matches with the meal and a customer should not have to ask can I have hot water to top up a drink of tea and keep it warm due to no meal being served and not told on order meal could be some time do you wish to wait for your hot drink? Also at no point did any members of staff tell us when it may be ready or a reason for the delay and seemed a tad miffed when asked after 40mns of silence 🔕 will it be long and shrugged n said probably won't be much longer now.. We at no point were asked when given a meal if it was ok again, no contact. And no, for one, if anyone wonders, the cafe was not flat out with customers. The wait would have been more bearable if staff took that thing called customer service seriously. Would not recommend due to this if you have a lot of time to waste and love when staff don't acknowledge then go for it, hospitality is far from it... not on the cheap side either, which makes bad standards of service sting even more .

We were visiting WWT Martin Mere and were looking for a cafe for breakfast to set us up for a day of walking and bird watching. We found ‘The Farm’ online and headed there on our way. When you arrive it doesn’t look much from the outside, but once you walk through the door it is welcoming, cosy and has a lot to offer. We ordered Full English Breakfast and it was very tasty and nicely presented. It came with toast which was a nice bonus, as so many places now you have to order it separately. There is a small farm shop which forms part of the cafe and has a nice range of local produce including small gifts and cards. We bought a couple of Rhubarb Pies to take away with us and they were delicious too! Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Our server was extremely rude from the get go, we were overcharged on cake and drinks despite there being an offer on and she was rude and patronising when this issue was raised. Not worth the overpriced refreshments or unnecessarily frosty welcome.

We previously visited here and found it lovely. However, we took an elderly relative here for lunch. It wasn’t too busy, just a few people in. We ordered our food, nothing fancy or which required special preparation and cooking, a sausage and chips, chicken wrap and ham, egg and chips. The order was placed at exactly 1pm. At 1.45, after someone who had arrived and ordered after us was tucking into their food, I went inside to enquire about the whereabouts of our food. I was told that they had had a busy spell, but it didn’t look any busier. I did notice some plates under the warmer in the kitchen. By the time I sat back down, our food arrived behind me. Quite clearly it had been sat under the warmer for some considerable time judging by the fact that everything looked dried out. To be fair it all tasted ok, but there was no gourmet food here, bog standard grub. It spoilt it and spoilt the treat for the elderly relative. It’s a lovely place with a lovely outdoor area. Since my first glowing review I’ve been with a friend on the bikes and there was a considerable wait for a brew and a bacon butty. And, it is not cheap. Our three plain meals, with two coffees and three soft drinks cost over £55. That’s pub prices. Would we return? Yes, if riding past we’ll stop for a coffee, but wouldn’t return for a meal. Especially when there’s a brilliant cafe just over five minutes up the road on the industrial estate, Tour de Franks. That’s where we will head next time we take the relative out. Sorry but I have to be honest.

They take too long to respond to queries. I rang them to inquire for camping with a group and I was asked to email them. 11 days later I ring them again as I didn't get any response on my email (that they asked me send) and I was told yet to wait for a few more days. Disappointed!

The site itself is in a lovely location with farm animals in an adjacent field which the kids will like. There's a play area here for kids too, but the grass was quite long (the grass everywhere else was short, which we couldn't understand) with some rubbish on the floor. We did really enjoy our stay here and there's a nice farm shop and cafe too. The only big downside was the state of the toilets, which were abysmal. Clearly hadn't been cleaned for some days, at least, prior to us arriving and still hasn't been cleaned when we left after 4 nights. It's a real shame because we'd like to visit the area again, but would probably look to camp elsewhere based solely on the state of the loos.

The cafe is over priced and not good value for money. Breakfast was Very basic and £9.95 for full English without a drink? Whilst waiting to pay i noticed a selection of cakes priced at £1.70. That's reasonable however if you eat in the price almost doubles to £3.50? Sadly I won't be returning! Far better places to eat Locally

We discovered the farm whilst out walking, I had heard about it from fellow cyclists. Lovely setting down a quiet lane. The outdoor seating area is lovely, with a covered area and a cobbled yard with plenty of tables. We’ve stopped by a few times, only having coffees, toasted tea cakes and a bacon butty once. The menu looks very good, the cakes look lovely, the inside is very welcoming and the staff all seem friendly. All in all a great little place. I think cafes are by and large better than most pubs now, offering home cooked food, at a better price in lovely surroundings.

The Farm Burscough is a great cafe with plenty of outside seating if the weather is good enough for sitting outside. The menu is ample, and the food and service are really good, as are the options of coffee to choose from. We've been to The Farm lots of times, though not recently. We were surprised to see the prices of food have rocketed since we were there over 12 months ago and not by inflationary levels. £5.50 for half a bowl of soup (very nice) and a slice of dry supermarket bread. Staff were very nice and the outside area has been tarted up since our last visit. Shame really as it's always been a good place to ride to. Can't see us going back anytime soon.

What a delightful little gem this place is, although off the beaten track it will be well worth your time. After a disappointing trip to infusions bistro in Burscough village we spotted this place on Google maps and popped over. The place consists of a farm shop, B&B and tea Room. The tea Room displayed a high level of hygiene with floors, tables and counters all immaculate we could even see staff cleaning and polishing when they had a spare minute. The coffee was lovely with the large size offering a generous portion and the ambiance inside was a cosy farmhouse style atmosphere. Ice cream, hot food and cakes are also available and there is a play area outside for children. Edit we have recently visited again and although still good we found raised prices now mean this establishment now offers only average value for money compared to the competition.

We have visited before and enjoyed meals from a varied menu. Sadly, despite lockdowns and covid restrictions no longer being mandatory, the menu is still far more limited. The food ws very good and well presented. Unfortunately while it was very windy and the rain was pouring down the door was kept wide open causing the whole room to be freezing cold. Most customers had to keep their overcoats on throughout their meals as a result. Reasonably priced fayre in what would be pleasant conditions on a warm sunny day .There is a farm shop adjacent to the cafe but there is no entry from the cafe. I presume there is another entrance on the far side of the complex but it wasn't worth venturing round in the prevailing conditions. Luckily there are several other farm shops in the area.

I have visited Bramley's several times over recent year and have always found it to be a lovely experience. I usually order the same Breakfast Bite and they always tweak it for me without any question. As previously mentioned, it's great to get an extra pot of hot water with tea. It's always a good cuppa, but can afford to have extra water and still be good. This visit I took my friend, who lives outside the area, she was really impressed and can't wait to bring her husband to try it next time The food is always good, with generous portions. It's great that it's independent and not a chain. Usually a good sign for fresh homemade food. Well worth a visit.

What an interesting conundrum, is this a 5 or a 4, I am going for a 4, and for the next few lines going to explain why. We were met, greeted and sat down, our pre meal drinks order taken effortlessly whilst we sat until our table was made ready; whilst waiting for our table, the staff kept our glasses topped up, in a nice provision of service. We enjoyed each course and from a technical prospective the food was masterly cooked and enjoyable, but that was it - enjoyable, there was no real dish that stretched or surprised the palate, which in my view is the sign of an aspirational restaurant not pushing its self. The level of service through the meal was excellent. Highlights of the meal - the cauliflower course and Hoggart slice / jus. Would I go back - certainly and will do so and the next menu change is made.
