Just outstanding. Amazing service- the owner made us feel comfortable. Even got to speak to the chef about the amazing food! We both had a panini, super tasty and big portions. Great value for money. 100% recommend this great spot.

Lovely cafe with tasty food and friendly staff. We have visited 3 times when we are in the area and had excellent food. On previous visits it was lunchtime and we enjoyed the platters but this time we just popped in for drinks and scones. The scones were beautiful! Will be back again when we are next in the area.

Beautifully cooked eggs. Well presented dishes. Welcoming staff. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Only a couple of miles off the motorway. Well worth a stop after an early start on a long journey

Popped in for a quick Coffee at 10am. Shown to our table not busy but ignored for 7 minutes and had to ask for order to be taken. After waiting 15 mins and still no sign of coffee left. Not impressived. Maybe waiting for the tables ordering food.

This cafe is an absolute gem. we have eaten here three times this year and have found it to be consistently good on every visit, my wife had the home cooked ham salad and i had the beef burger with chips and salad. the staff were so friendly and accommodating this can be a rare thing in many establishments these days.

Great coffee and generous portions. Very good value. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. They probably don’t often get asked for a cortado but after I described what it was it arrived better than many a fancy coffee chain provides. The warm hummus wrap was done to a T, large salad and a good quantity of hot, chunky chips fried to perfection. Friendly and informative staff. I wish I lived nearer. Oh, and I can recommend their homemade fruit scones.

Absolutely gorgeous little cafe with really friendly staff and a lot of choice on the menu. We just had desserts but they were beautiful - the caramel shortbread was really good and the waffle with the ice cream was amazing!

I called in to do some work whilst in the area. Wifi was great and service even better. The gingerbread lattes are the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried lots across the country), so I had 2! The eggs Benedict was perfect, the runny eggs popped when I used my knife…absolutely spot on. Pricing was incredibly reasonable. Will certainly be back!

We were staying in Kirkby Stephen and decided to have a walk into the village along the river. Arriving in Sedbergh at lunchtime, we decided to try the cafe out for lunch, as it is dog friendly (we have two retrievers). The menu has a wide choice of sandwiches, baked potatoes, meals, drinks and cakes. I opened for the ham sandwich, with a small side salad. The food was fresh, tasty and great value for money. I managed to leave my bag at the premises, which they put aside for me to collect a few days later. All in all, definitely worth a visit.

We have just finished walking The Dales Way and were lucky enough to stumble upon this fabulous cafe around lunch time. We had their vegetarian lasagne with chips and salad, which was all we could have wished for. We also had the filter coffee which includes a free top-up. We asked if they would be able to make up some sandwiches for our evening meal, which they did. The staff were very friendly and didn’t seem to mind us arriving straight off the walk with large rucksacks. All in all a great experience, very relaxing, and by far the best cooked meal we had over the 6 days of our walk.

Absolutely amazing cafe, super friendly staff and so helpful! We organised afternoon tea for my friends 30th birthday. There were 10 of us all with different dietary requirements and they catered so well for everything. Brilliant gluten free and Vegan afternoon tea. I would definitely recommend and will be back again!

Small but excellent cafe at a good price We had breakfast two mornings it was perfect super quality food and so well cooked I enjoyed every bit! Also had 2 scones to take away for when we Got back to England. Also scrummy. Definitely will plan a return visit when we return. Stopped here after a cycle ride from Endmoor. My wife and I enjoyed a coffee and huge Fruit Scone, with Jam & Butter, which appeared freshly made. I have to say this is the best scone I have ever eaten. The price was very reasonable and not over-inflated like some central cumbrian villages and towns. The service was good and the cafe has a toilet. Not a posh place, but clean and very welcoming with a nice atmosphere.

What a super cafe, quality food (large portions), all at a very reasonable price.I must praise the owner who in this current Covid situation is absolutely meticulous and thorough with her hygiene precautions. Wiping all surfaces including chairs before and after customers. Providing hand sanitisers and collecting track and trace details. My extremely nervous wife felt totally at ease witnessing the high hygiene standards set.I cannot praise the owner enough , a lot of other establishments could learn a lot from the standards being set here.

My husband and I were in Sedbergh on Tuesday 4th August 2020. We just happened to pass this shop and decided to order our lunch from there. Due to COVID-19 it’s obviously only takeaway at the moment. When we stepped in we were greeted by a very welcoming lady with a lovely smiley face, she was very chatty and also explained the vast range of fillings they had. We both ordered tuna baguettes, and the bread was so fresh, lots of filling and very tasty. Highly recommend.

Had a really lovely breakfast here. They have vegetarian and pescitarian options and an excellent variety of tea. Service was efficient and friendly and portions were extremely generous. Four stars purely because I think it was a bit over priced.

A warm welcome in a cozy little cafe serving a quite amazing Full English Breakfast, a must visit if you stop off in Sedbergh.

Don’t expect a warm friendly welcome at this place! I dared to politely ask for a breakfast at 11.40am (menu said breakfast finished at 11.30am). Rude and abrupt response from the owner telling me this wasn’t possible yet ironically pointed to almost identical breakfast items on all day menu, actually for less money. Given it was out of season and the place was mostly empty, would have been minimal effort to have tried to accommodate my request, or at least dealt with me in a polite and civil manner, but both were too much to ask. I always try to visit this place when in the area, but the rudeness and impatience I experienced today were quite awful. Will drive elsewhere next time.

Best Full English Breakfast we've had in a very long time, great local produce, cooked really well, generous portions, served with toast and butter. Cafe has a great buzz, owners are very friendly. We stop off here when heading north on the M6. You can tell its owned by people who care about cooking and customers. 5 stars for everything... We will be back asap

Lovely homely cafe with great staff. Food is all homemade. Lots of choice from breakfast to main meals and sweets. Salmon and scrambled eggs was wow. All on one level. No parking close.

After a wander around the shops we stopped by here for coffee and cake. Friendly welcome, great menu choice and good food. They even warmed my chocolate brownie up! Lovely and cosy seats by the “fire” and plenty of other people eating meals.

Visited here yesterday whilst in Sedbergh looking for something to eat. Had a soup and sandwich deal, soup was very tasty and the sandwich was generously filled. Took some cake home with us and that was very good as well. Well worth a visit if you’re hungry and find yourself in Sedbergh!

Good service, good food and dog-friendly. And yet something missing which I can't quite put my finger on. Perhaps the fact that this is #1 of only 3 in Sedbergh speaks volumes. We got in just before a load of other people so worth remembering for an future visits - get there early.
