Absolutely amazing breakfast! Delicious smoked haddock and hollandaise, wonderful full breakfast! We'd done our research and chose this based on previous reviews. Excellent choice! Service and food were wonderful. It's worth the slightly higher price for the amazing quality of ingredients and superb food! Give this place a visit!

Found this online while staying at Kendal for a break. We look for something f with veg / vegan options , parking and with a good review or two. This seemed to fit the bill so gave it a shot. Small place very busy. Looked organised. Dog friendly. Got seated at a high table , checked the menu. Lots of options inc vegan and veg. Hubby ordered vegan breakfast and black coffee. I got vegan porridge and earl grey tea. Took about 35 - 40 mins but portion sizes generous but not massive. Hot and very tasty. Good atmosphere attentive staff, not overbearing or overly fussy, did come and check if food was ok and cleared table quickly. Clean and tidy, it was a constant queue of customers and a lot of them did get turned away because there wasnt any spare seats 11.00 am.

Always eat here when we are visiting,the staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome,its clean and the food is lovely,been at least 8 times in the past 12 months and never been disappointed

Normally love brothers but was disappointed. Newer menu has much less choice, ordered a Brie and caramelised onion toastie which was far from caramelised onion, coleslaw tasteless, loved like no care had been taken in preparing the meal and definitely not worth the £10 paid. Service was ok.. quite a rude member of staff taking orders who clearly didn't want to be there. Such a shame.

Stopped for breakfast one cold wet morning Excellent big breakfast. Cooked to order v, well presented and got with our coffee , also excellent in taste . Pleasant friendly service in a clean environment . Highly recommend for Kendal .

The food is good and we loved the menu, lots of interesting choices, and a good service. It’s a bit eclectic and very casual but we liked that. You approach the counter once you have decided what you want and you are then asked to pay. No problem there. Our only criticism is when you pay on card you are asked on the chip and pin machine how much tip you want to add. You get various choices and to be fair one of those is ‘No Thanks’. The problem is how can you offer a tip which is supposed to be for good service when you haven’t yet been served? We felt it was rude and presumptuous to ask in the first place. If you enjoyed your meal and the service just leave a tip before you leave.

We love Brew Brothers! The atmosphere, the decor, the dog friendly policy, the food, the coffee (superb Farrer's - roasted a couple of miles away) and the service. We had to wait 20 minutes (as advised when ordering), but that meant it was fresh when it arrived! Still a Kendal must!

Called for breakfast while staying in Kendal .I had the BB special which was sourdough toast with a Cumberland sausage black pudding and a poached egg with hollandaise with Dijon and it was delicious .

Nice cafe with good food but the dogs they allow in are a real nuisance. This would stop me eating there in future.

bbs is a local favorite. kendalians enjoy getting fueled up for a day of traversing the near by trails in this traditional english cafe. speaking of tradition it is customary to leave your pet sheep at the door but don't worry they provide a water bowl for our furry brethren.

Popped in for a quick cuppa and a warm up ..sadly too late for food however the staff warm and welcoming just like the pot of tea

Just went in for a coffee and to catch up on some e-mails. Good coffee but no internet. The waitress told me 'we only have BT Intenet but it doesn't really work' what's the point?. It's almost a given these days that you can get onto the intenet in a cafe. An easy fix for better customer satisfaction.

myself and my wife came in for a coffee, we asked if we could sit on the raised area, the waitress pulled such a face and said I want to clean there , couldn't wait to leave not welcoming , felt like we were being watched, horrible place, would not recommend to anybody

A fantastic place for meals or just coffee & cake, everything very tasty & cater for vegans, vegetarian or meat eaters! Owners are lovely & staff are welcoming, efficient & very friendly, highly recommend!

Food was good if a little overpriced but such an unfriendly atmosphere, hence why we hadn't been here for five years, attitude from youngish guy with beard, so obnoxious and rude, other staff miserable. There is a reason this place is never busy and amongst locals it has the reputation for unpleasant staff. There are better, nicer places to eat in Kendal. Updated 11 Oct I am actually quite bemused at the defensive review the manager has posted in response. I have many positive and good experiences with various venues and services but as is human nature mostly only bother to review less than great experiences, that is allowed. The fact he put such a long response actually shows a slight lack of confidence in his venue? It is actually quite disingenuous and petty that he has took time to read my past reviews. Most of my reviews on Tripadvisor are 5 star, I don't know what point he was trying to make I mentioned one particular staff member, youngish guy with beard, who had real attitude on him, actually looked annoyed when my partner said he didn't require a menu for himself, then in an agitated manner told me to go to certain point of counter for placing my order. No big deal, we won't be eating there again anyway. I believe I praised the food, anyway? I have lived in many places in the world yet in England, Kendal in particular, people are so easily offended and judgemental. Thank god I have more in my life than this.

We were travelling down south from Scotlando stopped off for a snack. I had corn fritters and poached egg with the trimmings - 😋 The food that was being served around about us looked bery good. Service friendly and prompt with a good vibe.

Very accommodating. We went with our bikes - no trouble as they stored them at the rear of the cafe. The food was delicious as was the coffee.

The food is very good here. There is a bit of a wait though because they cook it all fresh. Staff are very friendly and dogs are most definitely welcome.

Place was busy, food took a while to arrive which was understandable, but the quality was just not really up to scratch, scrambled eggs were over cooked so arrived dry on what was probably yesterdays bread, and pretty much everything in the breakfast burrito was bland and spongy. It might’ve been a one off as I’ve had some pleasant food here about a year ago, just a couple of things to improve :)

Ordered through just eat just after 2 pm they made the good knowing there was no drivers and deliver food at 17.22 stone cold and the older gentlemen who delivered said it had been sat there 2 hours and still made him deliver it absolutely disgusting service won’t use here again they shouldn’t of prepared it till driver was found working in the industry I know how it works so this service is shocking over £40 wow

Only stopped in Kendal to have brunch here. Unfortunately a little disappointed. Prices are steep for what we had. The Brew Brother's blend coffee was a bit bitter. Coffee mugs are small. The butter on the roll tasted off. My son didn't finish it. Staff were too busy to be friendly.

Nice atmosphere, food tasty, but may need a slightly bigger portion for the Spanish Eggs (only one egg). The Nutella and Banana pancakes for the children had too much Nutella on it too. Nice big pot of tea.

I cannot express enough how amazing of a night my fiancé and I had ,we went for south african night and I'm not ashamed to say I got very emotional , they captured home so perfectly the food was absolutely delicious , cooked to perfection, the staff were friendly and proffesional with excellent service they really added to the night as well as the manager every person that was working brought the night to life and made it a once in a lifetime experience will definitely be back to try more of there amazing food 😋 I definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing time in kendal ❤️

We were desperate for a breakfast on out first morning here. Found this little place and it was lovely. Only complaint was we wanted French toast, but because we were 10 minutes early for this starting we weren't allowed it, so we just had our coffee to go.

Great breakfast or lunch spot. The food is fantastic, staff really friendly and accommodating, and some really unusual drinks on the menu if you fancy a change from coffee. (The beetroot chai latte is delicious). Not super accessible due to stairs to get to a lot of the seating but fine for pushchairs etc. high chairs also available.

The food was simply incredible. As a vegetarian options can sometimes be limited at independent cafes, but that was certainly not the case here! I had so many options to choose from and I’ll definitely be back to work my way through them. The service was brilliant! Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Beautiful venue. Excellent food and attentive staff. We ordered an English breakfast and a Spanish dish, which was all cooked to perfection. Locally sourced products, which my husband said were really good. Will definitely be back again.

Good coffee and lovely gluten free cakes (handmade but packaged individually - thank you!). Also had lovely looking brunch and lunch menu, with gf options but we didn't have time to sample.
