Went DV8 because I have not been for a while but this time took my dog ( XL Bully ) .. there was no seats outside so sat in Bar 2 . The young waitress (Lara ) was not put off by the dog in fact made him feel welcome getting him a bowl of water and spending a few minutes petting him . Food was on point as usual the owner of the bar should be proud of her team the XL has a bad name but we were made to feel welcome definitely be back with my dog ….

1st time going for breakfast. Took my 8yr old and met a friend. There wasn't a children's menu but I was inferred to have separate items and pay individually. There was only whole milk. As someone very health conscious it was disappointing hot drinks then became limited. I had an Americano. It came with sugar I asked for sweetener. The waiter said he'd being some. Some 30 mins later I'd drunk the coffee without the sweetener. He apologised and said he'd being another. Then didn't. It wasn't busy but it took a long time for food to come. I'd asked for poached eggs on toast. I literally got that. 2 eggs. 2 slices of break. Not even presentation. My 1st thought was... wow the mark up on this must be a lot given the price. To summarise. I wouldn't go again. Too pricey. Doesn't cater for children. No semi or skimmed milk offer. Long waits. I love DV8. Their main food menu is brilliant but this experience wasn't.

Been going to DV8’s for food and drinks for years now - every single time it consistently upholds its wonderfulness. Excellent service, awesome food, fab range of drinks and always offers such pleasant ambiance and surroundings. Can’t recommend this place more highly. Never leave Congleton!

2nd review of DV8 , the last one was poor but the last two times we have been the food , service and price have been excellent I had the fish cone , all cooked to perfection and a ridiculous amount for around £15 , comes with home cooked chunky chips and tartare sauce , the wife had chicken coujons , 3 types of flavours and 2 big pieces of each ,, with dips , she had thin fries as well not realising how big the meal would be , it’s honestly enough for two people , that was around £12 for the coujons ( the menu is online ) 2 pints of beer total was £44 , I can see why it’s very popular and will return as it’s really the only local food to us that meets requirements

Fab lunch as always, great atmosphere & music, and our waitress Remee was so lovely! Makes such a difference going for a meal when the staff are so attentive

Had to visit after seeing the Easter specials on Facebook. I had the lamb DV8 chips and they were so good. I couldn’t manage a dessert but my sisters shared a creme egg cheesecake and loved it. The staff are so friendly here, every time we visit we always feel looked after. Our favourite place in town

Waited 1:20 minutes for food, starter came at the same time as the main meal. Was never told that there was a waiting time like that when we arrived and after 1 hour and asking where the food was we where the. Told about how busy the restaurant was, should have been told when we arrived. Food was mediocre and most of it was left.

Have been here on a few occasions - great area inside that we can bring the dog..also outside area. Nice staff, good food..one of the nicest places in Congleton.

The best spot for food in Congleton, great food, great atmosphere. Had the mushroom stroganoff and it was delicious. Great service there from our waiter Sam who couldn’t do enough for us.

This place is fantastic, we’ve been coming here since we moved into the area 20 months ago and have never been disappointed. We’ve always gone with our little dog and eaten outside in the lovely heated, sheltered outside. Imagine our joy when we went last Friday and were told they had created an indoor area that is dog friendly. The staff are lovely, and the food excellent. Even though the area is separate to the main bar area we never felt left out, there was always someone popping in to ensure everyone had everything they needed, including water and treats for our dog. It’s nice to know you can just call in for a drink, but if you do decide to dine you can be assured you have beautiful restaurant quality food at bar prices. Well done to all at DV8 and thank you. Situated in a great spot of Congelton, an amazing old character building that’s warm, cosy and full of character. On arrival it was very busy as last Friday before Christmas but we managed to get a table. We was met by our waitress Freya who was a delight, she was very efficient, polite and cheerful throughout the evening. Food was fabulous with great portion sizes. Freya asked throughout the evening if we wanted drinks and ensured all our needs were met. All staff was very efficient clearing tables, glasses throughout the evening and engaging with all customers. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Went here on Monday lunch time it was very busy! And yet again it was so good! I even tried something different this time then my usual DV8 chips, the winter Berry Eaton mess was delicious. I can’t wait to come back soon! 😊

Been here numerous times and can’t fault it. The building is beautiful, full of old world charm with wooden beams. It can get extremely busy as it’s so popular but we have always managed to get a table, especially since they opened up more space upstairs. Food is tasty with great portion sizes and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the area. Always look forward to a visit here and can’t wait to come back.

A really lovely lad called Kieron served us. He was determined to find me something vegan to eat but kept coming back with news of dairy in the things he’d recommended. Not his fault, he was clearly trying his best. Not a place for vegans that’s for sure, hence the 1 star. This is a really poor effort on DV8’s part considering veganism is so easily catered for. Can’t recommend a restaurant that doesn’t even try to make appetising, well considered plant based meals a part of their menu.

I went with grandparents and they loved it seated very quickly and staff were friendly then I took my uncle now he will not stop talking about the fry’s the portions are amazing and onion rings are to die for

Lovely evening with my Sister, Brother in Law and their Pooch as soon as we arrived the staff bought out a bowl of water for our dog which was a nice touch. We often head here when I am back home, I try and take my friends for a treat. We’ve not been blown away recently though until our last visit. Jessica was so polite and accommodating. She noticed a problem with the bill before she gave it to us, apologised and quickly rectified the issue. Lovely service with a smile!

Came for a meal and couple of drinks with my husband. We always have such great service and all the staff are super knowledgeable and happy to help you with anything you want. Josh and Holly looked after us really well. Not over packed, tables well spaced out so you feel safe. Always our go to place to eat. It’s the best in Congleton!

Just returned from a walk to DV8. We normally deal with Sophie or Steph but this time we were served by Izzy. She took our initial order of coffee then came back to take our order for a glass of wine and a cold beer Then returned to take our lunch order of numerous 'sides'. Absolutely delicious! I visited DV8 last night for a long overdue catch up with family. We haven’t been since the start of lockdown last year, but the experience was actually as we experienced over a year ago! The food was lovely and the service was fab! Yasmin (our waitress) was super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! She was ‘flying’ around looking after everyone but always had a big smile on her face! Looking forward to coming down again soon!

Had lunch at DV8, the food was amazing 5 star, we couldn’t complain of the service that we received, we enjoyed the whole 3 courses we had, the cheese cake was out of this world. I going dv8 quite alot I would say, and I've been going for the last couple of years, an never had a best experience, it's always amazing and always the first place I choice to go, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and can't do enough for you. You can see how hard they work and had due the last year with everything going on. Though all of it the staff have been amazing, friendly and always make you feel welcomed. The food it just something else and if you go you have to have dv8 chips and a staropramen in a frozen mug well that's my favourite. But really it's the team that make it! And there to many to mention them all but jazz, Josh, Jess, Dan, Sophie and of course steph but all of you are amazing!!

Visited DV8 Congleton a number of times with family and friends, food is always fantastic and can’t fault the service. Stayed on top of the ever-changing covid rules really well in the past few months, there’s a great outdoor area with heaters and Staropramen on draught! Highly recommend.

We visited DV8 last Friday, the first time we’ve been out for a couple of drinks since the whole pandemic! We had a table for 4 and straight away it felt like the usual comfy, cosy DV8 atmosphere we were used to however all safety measures were In place, good distance between tables, hand sanitizers & table service which was perfect from Maddie! Came last week with a couple of friends, we come regularly and love the food and service, it’s always to a very high standard. Had a lot of different meals on the menu and everything is always amazing, had the cheesecake of the day this time as well which was dairy milk caramel and was incredible!! The service is always amazing, and all the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is ok and if you need anything!

Always our number one choice when heading out for some drinks! Great choice, amazing atmosphere. Went on Saturday and Danny served us…. So friendly, attentive and kept us updated on the football scores! Great service! I live in Portsmouth now, but a trip home isn’t complete without a DV8 visit!

I visited with my mum a couple of months back for some lunch. We sat outside in a very pleasant courtyard with patio heaters. The staff were chatty and polite with excellent menu knowledge. The portion sizes were brilliant! The choices on the menu were plentiful. We had a wonderful experience. Will be visiting again soon.

Been in twice recently served by Becky on the first occasion. She very welcoming and chatty, as are all staff I came across on both occasionsFood was amazing!! Great afternoon a few weeks ago , catch up with one of my oldest friends, Tom served us great host , had a fantastic meal even sorted us puddings to bring home with us as we were so full . But you couldn’t leave the Marz cheese cake no way it looked yummy … so 2 cheesecakes to go .

Such a quaint, unique and characteristic building. With an extremely friendly team of bar staff and waitresses. The food is phenomenal! Highly recommend any of the loaded chunky chips but be sure to be hungry/ have a big appetite when ordering these! Cocktails galore and even mocktails. I have always been too full from mains to order puddings, but the cheesecakes look mouthwateringly good! (May just have to go and have cheesecake and coffee one day). Brilliant service guys cant wait to see you all again soon.

Since moving to Congleton we always go DV8 this is our favourite pub/restaurant. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly the place is really inviting and great cocktail selection. Never been disappointed with a visit to DV8 in 4 years! And nothing beats winter time with mulled wine and the log burner on the cheesecakes of the day are amazing!

I came to dv8 back in June for some food and cocktails with some friends from work. Bailey was our waiter for the evening and nothing was to much trouble. Bailey could see that we were trying to take some photos and he was more than happy to take a photo of myself and the group of friends I was out with. The service was fantastic and everything came out quick given that it was a Friday evening. Bailey is an asset to the dv8 team :-) a very well mannered young lad. We can’t wait to return again this month. Thank you.

As always everything divine.......Staff so lovely couldn't do enough for you and soooo knowledgeable, training must be impeccable ....Perfectly distanced ,Nor at all tooo close but felt safe and soundMade my NON alcohol lime and soda look like a proper cocktail, so I didn't feel left out, being the designated driver !Food as ALWAYS yummy, Only problem?????Too full on the most scrumptious beef stroganoff over DV8 chips, but being a pain, needed it served separately so as not to be over faced,!!! We visited dv8 in congleton on Friday, it was myself and my mum, it was her birthday and we come every year to celebrate this and I look forward to actually eating a decent meal without the little ones pinching my food. From the moment you get there the staff are so attentive and welcoming and also gave great advice on what cocktail are the nicest to have, and what great advice that was. Me and my mum both had wraps with sweet potato fries, she had the chicken wrap while I had the duck and we both split it, I can honestly say it was delicious and was so stuffed afterwards but as a piggy I couldn’t just leave there and walk away without trying out the cheesecake and thank goodness I did but afterwards I couldn’t move but it was well worth it. As for the staff, they were all great and welcoming but the lady who is heavily pregnant was just amazing and nothing seemed to much trouble. Can’t wait for the next visit and already my mouth is watering for the cheesecake, I just have to remember to wear something stretchy.

Love this place. Have been going for years and always been a favourite. Great for couples, groups or friends or a meal out with the family. Food is always good as are the cocktails. We visited as a group on our last day of college for some food and a few drinks. The food was amazing as always, the DV8 topped chips are the best!! And the mockyials are great, especially the dancing queen! Our server Josh was great, making sure we were happy with everything and keeping us topped up on drinks! It was a great celebration to end the college year! Will 100% visit again!

Me and my 10 year old son visited DV8 a few weeks ago and have been thinking about the chips and cheesecake ever since. We're already planning out next visit! The service was fantastic and the food was just phenomenal. I mean come on, look at that cheese pull!

I visited DV8 with my best friend for some food and a girly catch up and it was perfect! We sat outside and there were patio heaters so best of both words. The food was delicious and exactly what we wanted, huge portions so sadly we were beaten by our burgers but still had room for cheesecake… which also defeated us!Josh was great, really friendly, chatty and helped us to pick the best dessert on the menu, which was enough for 3 people ha ha! Can’t wait to go back with family, the food was 10/10 as was the service and for the money an absolute bargain!

Me and a group of friends came to DV8 for some cocktails. We were looked after by Josh who made our cocktails not only with a smile but quickly too. I was so happy with the quality of the drinks and was made to feel so welcome by josh in my time there. I will definitely be returning soon.

Bailey was our waiter for the evening while I was out with friends. He was very friendly and helpful, we were trying to tale photos and Bailey was more than happy to take the photos for us. He is definitely an asset to the company thank you for making it a lovely evening

We had a fantastic experience at dv8 Congleton. Yasmin was our server and provided exceptional servce. Taking the time to converse with us whilst still dilligently monitoring her other tables. Such a friendly experience and very fast service. The food was top class and the drinks choice was limitless. We will definately be returning very soon. Thanks!

After a good walk we landed here and as it was quiet, we chose our seats in the courtyard. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, we ordered coffees and bacon rolls.A couple of women arrived and one shouted across us for service. Fortunately they were ignored, probably with good reason and they soon left. Bacon was streaky but we deserved the tasty fat and the brioche bun was buttered so with some ketchup this was a perfect treat.Young lad came over with the bill (very reasonably priced) and we chatted for a bit.A really nice experience.
