Well I didn't know what to expect but it wasn't that ....
There are some rules when eating here but that's not surprising. It's not your usual restaurant. Cost is around £35+ per head which is a bit of a shock however the food is of a very high standard and tasted amazing. All staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is not in the prison but in the grounds in an old chapel. Would I go again 🤔 YES if it was a special occasion.
We visited for the Burns Night dinner. It was a great night out - food fabulous as always and the ceilidh was fun - really good band, great atmosphere.
Another wonderful unrushed afternoon with family. The menu has enough choice for all, they were kind enough to wash our raspberries bout for our one year old baby and put them in a bowl for us. Highly recommend Home@buckshaw 😇
Amazing little gem in Congleton. A must visit. We arrived without booking and just managed to get a seat so would definitely recommend booking ahead on a Saturday evening. Flavours are unreal and the setting is cozy. Have been here a few times now and never had an experience that wasn’t 5*.
Lovely warm welcome, shown straight to table and given the festive menu and normal one. We all choose off the normal member and the food arrived piping hot, with lovely fresh veg. The chunky chips were wonderful as well. Would thoroughly recommend
This is a ‘must try’ for anyone coming to Knutsford; an exceptional product, first class service and excellent value. There is a flavour to suit everyone . Jaffa Cake is a personal favourite. Drop in or order on line & collect for home consumption.
after seeing such good reviews we were very excited to visit. but our table was booked for 6.30 and we only received starters at 8. there was a dark hair in my curry. was barely busy and the service was extremely disappointing. staff acting as if they have never had a job before. a waiter we had put the food on the table without asking who it was for or saying what it was. bill was incorrect adding around £20 extra to the whole family bill, the menus price is different then what they charge. will never be stepping foot in there ever again.
Lovely afternoon tea for three. Two of us vegetarian but didn't feel like we missed out at all. Everything freshly prepared and friendly service - even after I got the time wrong and arrived 30 mins later than expected! Would recommend highly.
So glad to have had Café Bonbon recommended to me by word of mouth. What an excellently-run café! David is a friendly and accommodating proprietor, nothing seems too much trouble and he takes time to genuinely engage with customers.
Placing an order a day in advance went smoothly. David was helpful and efficient in responding to both phone and email enquiries and his communication was excellent, which is always a godsend, especially these days. The sandwiches are fresh, tasty and made with care. Superb choice of fillings and dressings! The cakes are also delicious, fresh and interesting. All in all, good value for money.
A wholly positive experience, and one that you only get when someone loves what they do. Looking forward to returning in the future! Thank you David and David.
We have visited the restaurant twice & on each occasion enjoyed the food & atmosphere. Aisha was a wonderful host & made sure we were looked after & nothing was too much trouble.
The chaat bombs & mango kulfi went down an absolute treat……delicious!
Definitely will be coming back again & recommend this highly.
What a lovely tearoom, staff friendly and made you feel very welcome. Good choice on menu, food tasty and reasonably priced. Will definitely call again.
