The best restaurants serving Italian food in Cheshire East North West

Had takeaway pizzas this time. All 5 pizzas were delicious, hot, fresh tasty, this is one of my favourite takeaways and restaurants.

I wish now that we had tried the food - we were a 'walk-in' and were seated quickly but after considering the menu we decided to try elsewhere - the ambience was a little lacking and the menu a little limited, especially for vegetarians. There was a table with quite loud children and as there was no background music or soft furnishings it was a bit grating. Plus we hadn't realised it was BYO for wine. At least one dish marked as vegetarian listed meat which always makes me a bit nervous. But will give it a go another day.

Shop side has good range of local products and luxury additions - cafe nicely laid out and welcoming. Wine & beer available. We had a late sandwich lunch - Brie & bacon was well filled and beautifully melting. Roast beef sandwiches were tasty and had epic horseradish and piquant crunchy salad on the side.

I came here with a friend for lunch on Saturday a few weeks back. I had heard about their fresh pasta and really wanted to give it a go! I ordered the fresh spaghetti with basil sauce & cherry tomatoes. The pasta was absolutely stunning, I've never had fresh pasta like it before! Texture was wonderful, and the basil sauce was great too! The venue itself is great, very sunny and bright with a glass roof, lots of space to sit! I don't believe that they're on the Capital Walk app, so you have to go up and order manually. Staff are very friendly and happy to talk about their food. Next time I really want to try some of the other pastas they have available, and a pizza! If you're in Congleton and looking for somewhere to eat, I highly recommend this place!

Many issues created here but sadly more by the staff! 1. Our drinks took 15 minutes to come, two at a time 2. Our starters arrived half an hour after ordering 3. One of our starters was burnt so had to be remade and came out after all of us had finished (group of 6) 4. Our mains took an hour to arrive after the starters had been finished 5. Our food was stone cold as were the plates/bowls (despite being warned they were hot) 6. No waiter or waitress came to check on our food so had to twice go and ask for service (drinks) 7. When finally taking our plates the waitress (bless her it was her second day) she asked how the food was and we explained that it wasn't very good but not a big deal and we wanted the bill. She then told another waiter who came to ask why it wasn't good and we explained, who THEN got the manager who then became less discreet in a disagreement with us that the food was not in fact cold as it was freshly made by the TWO, ONLY TWO, chefs, one with "52 years of experience and another with 30." While the restaurant gave us a 20% discount on our food which we were grateful for, however the sheer indiscreet bickering the manager gave us was more disappointing than the food. I recognise that he was trying to make up for the bad food, yet he honestly seemed to just 'butter us up' so we wouldn't leave a bad review. I've never written a bad review of a restaurant before because no experience has ever been this embarrassing. Apparently this isn't the first issue they've had with the food being cold as it's also mentioned in multiple other reviews up to over a year ago!

We enjoy a visit to Romazzino and have previously commented that whilst the food has been excellent the service has been a bit hit and miss……not this time, both were fabulous. Our food was excellent, spaghetti carbonara with chicken and fillet steak, the carbonara was delicious, the steak delectable. The service was fantastic, our waitress (lovely young lady with blond hair, our booking was 6.15pm, 2/3) was fabulous, the food excellent as was the ambiance, lots of birthday celebrations as well as groups and couples having just the best evening. Highly recommended.

Delicious food . Pizza always taste great, burgers are the best. Its our place for every weekends dinner !! Really recommend this place !!

My absolute favourite restaurant, freshly cooked food, and beautiful wine. Such a friendly team who works and owns it. I have been going for 13 years and still my favourite restaurant my daughter also loves going and requests to go as much as me.

Great menu; good taste. Music was far to loud so couldn't hear each other when talking.

The best Italian restaurant in town! Tried a wide variety of dishes and they are all delicious. The service from Erion & Rigi is so attentive and friendly. They always go above and beyond, making every visit truly special.

I had garlic bread for starters but there wasn't much garlic on the bread then, worst of all, I ordered a pizza and had to eat it with a knife and fork because it all slipped off the end due to having been frozen and reheated. The Tiramusu was very tasty though!

Quite possibly the worst chicken Caesar salad known to man. Sliced pre cooked chicken on a questionable sauce, the chicken was dry and tasted of wet dog. So was definitely reheated. My friends pasta was undercooked- extreme Aldente.

We used to love Ciao and was hoping for an amazing Italian. Social just lacked that friendly, Italian feel. Service lacks warmth and personality. It was quiet enough to take the time to smile at least and engage with the customers. Food is nice enough but cold and not presented brilliantly. Tiramisu had hair in it and rubbish bag left in the hallway as you walked to toilets. One of my little girls banged her head and the bar staff just looked over and carried on laughing and chatting. Ciao used to make the children feel special and that’s why they wanted to eat there! Food is expensive for what it is.
