Just walked out without ordering. The place looks ok, quaint, independent, decent looking memo. Was shown to a table upstairs but after 15 minutes of no further attention was starting to get a bit annoyed. When the couple seated next to us had their order taken before us (and another earlier arriving party) we decided to leave.

Fantastic place. Home made outstanding food and generous portions. Comfortable setting and well priced wine. My new favourite.

I went for lunch to celebrate my son’s 2nd birthday, and I was absolutely disgusted with the service. Despite my son clearly wearing a birthday badge, not a single staff member wished him a happy birthday. The staff were rude and miserable, and when I raised my concerns with the manager, I was shocked by their response: “They don’t understand English.” I left feeling incredibly upset. I would not recommend this place at all. If you’re considering visiting, go to the Wilmslow location instead, they’re much friendlier.

Great atmosphere, delicious meal, friendly staff and really good value for money. We are new to the area and very pleased to discover Barchetta as our new local restaurant! Plenty of choice on the menu, we are looking forward to our next visit.

My husband and I dropped into the little Italian for tea one evening and it was absolutely superb. Lovely friendly staff, really good prawns to start with and we both enjoyed a hearty bowl of pasta for mains. Reasonably priced, great little find. We will be back.

Meh, so slooooooow. After hearing about the hype, I was really disappointed. The menu was, in my opinion, limited. Our first choice of main was sold out, at 7:30pm, hardly late for a Saturday evening. The suggested alternative a seafood risotto took approximately 45 mins and when it came it was saltier than the Dead Sea. The waiting staff were lovely, but too few and rushed off their feet.

Oh my goodness don’t waste your time or money. The meal took for ever and when it arrived it was awful. Apparently they are low in plates , I mean seriously!!! Cocktails if that’s what you can all them tasted disgusting! There is no organisation whatsoever. I’ve here last year when there was a lovely young man who was the manager and he ran the place so well and was very friendly and organised . Now it’s so badly ran and I will never set foot in there again. Don’t waste your hard earned money folks

Arrived 19:30 after many attempts asking when the mains would arrive, 21:10 dish arrives cold, shocking place, if they are chefs I will eat my hate, used to be a good place, absolutely soulless now, spoke to 3 other customers and they wasn’t happy, will never return that’s for sure, to prove it was so bad, they didn’t charge us a penny, and we had a lot of drinks waiting for food, they also gave my daughter a bottle of wine, still not worth the hassle AVOID !!!!!

Don’t visit that often but have in the past and felt was ok. Decided to go again and found that the restaurant itself was bland with no mood or atmosphere. I remembered a lovely mural on the wall of an Italian scene - now painted over so just plain walls, with stark lighting. Menu was much reduced, with more Spanish ingredients than Italian - chicken, chorizo and nduja making up about four different dishes. Several of the dishes we were told we unavailable due to them not having the right pasta🫤, after one half of Pironi, they had run out… this is early on a Friday night…. And no honeycomb gelato. The meals were ok, I could have done better myself and will do next time… cheese and garlic bread was their only saviour… that was nice. But what tipped me over the edge to write this review was when we came to pay, we were informed that they couldn’t take cash, not a surprise these days, but that they also couldn’t take a card as the machine wasn’t working…. 🤦♀️ I had no signal so needed Wi-Fi…. They don’t have it apparently…. So their solution was to write their bank details on a piece of paper and make everyone do a bank transfer straight away before leaving the building…. And you also had to leave you phone number so if you didn’t pay the right amount the could ring you. Very poor. We felt sorry for the waitresses who were very apologetic and appeared embarrassed every time they had to deliver bad news to us for various reasons…Otherwise they were very pleasant. Get out while you can would be our advice to them, as the writing is on the wall for the business as far as we can see. Will not be visiting again under the current management. Shame…😕
