Don Giovanni in Cheshire East

Visited for my mum’s birthday celebration. All the staff were really friendly but the host was fantastic. He’s got a great sense of humour and really made us feel welcomed. The food was amazing and it’s great to have the option of a smaller portion. We will definitely be back!

The dover sole was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. My friend had the fillet steak and it was amazing as well. We thoughrouly enjoyed our experience and will return

The food was excellent and the staff were lovely. Our table was booked for 7.45pm we were out of the door at 9.25pm we felt that the services was very rushed and seemed as if they couldnt wait to get us out of the door. Closing at 10pm on a Friday evening is early. We did however enjoy our get together, but we won't be going back for our Christmas night out.

The best Italian restaurant in Knutsford - we had dinner here on Friday night, lovely warm welcome from the manager... all of the staff were great, very efficient, friendly and helpful - Gianluca was our waiter and sorted out my food issues, which was really good. Big thank you to the chef(s) who made sure that my food would not upset my stomach. They cooked my food separately and used new oil and cleaned everything before they started my fish and courgette fries. The Branzino was really lovely and my partner's duck was super tender. The tasting plate of desserts was a really great way to finish off the meal. We have been 4 times now over the last year or so and will come back as soon as we can

I you like Italian food or just a coffee and you love brilliant service then Giovannis Knutsford is the place to go. Can't wait to go back

Love this restaurant. Me and my family all loved the food, especially the spaghetti carbonara. Great staff who were friendly and very attentive. It was a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely be visiting again and overall we all had a lovely night at this restaurant. Thank you for making me and my family feel well looked after.

Previous Visit: Had Arancini and lobster ravioli which was excellent. (5 Star) This Visit: Decided to go out in Knutsford, checked on TripAdvisor, tried to book in at many places but this was the only place available at the time we wanted. This should have raised a red flag, but i was hoping we were just lucky. Manager took us to our table, got drinks straight away and ordered food. I had the arancini for starters which all three were cold in the middle, they got sent back and another plate was brought out which were ok. Next for the main course, I’d ordered Spaghetti Carbonara with chicken, this arrived with no chicken, I then had to request some cutlery as I had none at that point, I was brought a knife and fork which I really wanted a spoon also, I started eating it and the manager came over and asked if it was too creamy we told him I had ordered with chicken he immediately took the plate away, I still had food on my fork! The then gave me daggers as he walked to the kitchen. He then came back with the dish. We also noticed the couple next to us had been waiting for at least 20 minutes to be served, they later had a calzone pizza but it looked like they were having issues also, it did look uncooked. I have been to this restaurant in the past and it was good, but I’m afraid I won’t be going back. We had been warned by locals that this place was a bit hit and miss.

Only Giovanni's responded when I emailed several restaurants in Knutsford with a view to organising a regular mid-week evening meal for a men's group from church. They outlined a package that worked really well for us with ideas of how to make it easier to manage payments. When we arrived, everything was ready and we received a very warm welcome. The waiters provided regular entertainment while allowing us space to chat. The food was first class with good-sized portions and great taste. All of our party of 12 were impressed with our meals and the service with no cause for complaint. We found the prices reasonable (for Knutsford) and plan to make this a regular thing. Thanks for a great evening.

Love, love, love this local business. A fabulous restaurant, wonderful owners, great food, great staff and great attitude. This is a great bustling Italian restaurant with good food and reasonably priced drinks unlike the over priced Italian chain restaurants in Knutsford. You are doing great on the Knutsford restaurant and bar scene. Keep up the good work. 🙌

I have always enjoyed my previous visits to Giovanni’s in King Street and their food is always very good. However although they have written on the bottom of their menu “let us know of any allergies” when you mention that you are now Lactose Intolerant there seems to be little choice of food on their menu especially the desert menu. Added to which when I asked if they had soya or Oat milk the reaction of the male staff to my question was totally unacceptable and discriminatory. They advertise Vegan and vegetarian there is no indication on their menus which of the menu items are suitable. In this day and age this is totally unacceptable especially if in the case of Lactose intolerance which is not a matter of choice. Will not be returning.
