Crema Deli in Cheshire East

I visit the Deli on a regular basis to shop but decided to use my Christmas Voucher for a post-lockdown meal. I went on Saturday lunchtime and ate the most scrumptious continental meat platter. Whilst I sat inside because rain was pending, I was transported to Italy/Germany and magical memories of holidays past. THANK YOU for the amazing experience! You have made Congleton a brighter place to live during the pandemic with your friendly service and excellent food. Maria x

Visited Congleton and popped into this little deli in the town. Had coffee and sandwiches, great service and following covid protocols. Sadly didn’t try the cakes as the rain started. Would recommend this place

Service was excellent, staff really friendly and helpful. Mediterranean chicken wrap and hot chocolate was amazing! Felt safe visiting during covid with precautions adhered to. Would recommend visiting to others.

I always buy my cooked meats, cheese, pies and cakes from Crema because of their excellent quality. My husband and I decided to have lunch in the cafe. The same excellent food for which they are known for was served. We both had Eggs Benedict which was beautiful quality. We also enjoyed a pot of tea and a slice of Lemon and Mascarpone Cake. The service was excellent and our waitress was very efficient. We spent a lovely hour having our lunch with a view of the Main Street below.Thank you, we will dine again with you soon. Highly recommended.

We popped in yesterday to town as we were now allowed to eat inside.We came back to Crema after a long absence and know why we missed their food and staff so much! It was great to see familiar faces with the same amazing service. Try the Eggs Benedict. It’s amazing!

My lovely hubby ordered Afternoon Tea for my birthday. The range of sumptuous delights was amazing and so fresh. The sandwiches were just the best....the beef and onion sublime. Delicious pies & chutney. And the scotch eggs, warmed are not to be beaten. Cakes, scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam.....what can be better ☺️Crema really is the best and keeps it local and the quality is exemplary....the staff are a wonderful crew of lovely, friendly and helpful people. Just a Joy Thank you....I had a wonderful birthday and am VERY grateful to you ☺️

So we’ve just moved to congleton and heard amazing things about this place rave reviews saying we have to go there, I simply asked when upstairs would be open again I had a dismissive same as everyone eles reply Iv been iserlate for past 8 months first time out all I wanted was a simple reply not rudeness , so we then put are order in we spent £25 on birthday cake for my husband birthday bought a wrap had it warmed a table became available so I said to my husband pay service charge as he hadn’t paid yet lady out side was yes that’s fine only to be rudely informed inside by your rude staff that we can not seat at the table we were not at any point ask if we would like a table or takeaway we ordered 4 slices of cake , apple slice , bean wrap and a chicken samosas sausage roll we sadly had to go home and eat it just wanted a nice lunch for my husband birthday and with my first venue out in months I’d have happily paid extra for table service and order more at that it’s a real same staff so rude as food was Devine to add insult to injury no chicken samosas in bag ether husband gutted happy birthday from them Not

Such a shame. We had heard so many raving reviews about this bakery. Although the cakes and pastries are great the customer service is appalling. I really don't understand why staff in an establishment such as this would feel that it is acceptable to be down right rude to a good paying customer! You,'d think they would be eager to have return business especially coming out of lock down.

Popped into congleton called in lovely little deli in the middle of town . Can't believe what a little gem l found, food absolutely delicious staff went above and beyond for us. Everyone was so friendly. Thank you all we will definitely be back

It’s been a long time that I’ve been visiting Crema Deli. The food is excellent, but the friendly staff and service are simply outstanding. It’s become unusual for outlets to go the extra mile, but Crema Deli certainly do. Having been open the whole of the past year to feed customers and keep their spirits uplifted with their friendly service and smiles behind the masks. Keep it up & keep adding new tasty treats

Popped in here after a long walk and really spoilt for choice, opted for coffees and cake and they were as good as they looked.Downside was the long wait to get in to the Deli; there seemed to be plenty of staff to serve the maximum number allowed inside and then an order was apparently two Hot Chocs short and there was a further hold up. When I got inside and was waiting for my order, I could see the toilet at the back of the room and asked if I could pop in. The friendly lady had to ask a colleague who didn't look up and just said no to her colleague. At this point I was the only person in the Deli and unless I'm mistaken there is no strict ruling on this. I thought this was poor customer service however I will not let one person's actions cloud my rating.

We are new to the area and were keen to try this deli after seeing photos of the amazing cakes in the window! A visit in person is obviously not possible right now so I was delighted to find they offered a takeaway and delivery service. We ordered a selection of salads and cakes and they were absolutely fantastic, delicious and beautifully presented. Delivery service was also prompt and very friendly. Would definitely recommend

I've struggled alot during covid and today was my first outing with my mum. We chamged our mind from the original place we wanted to go and i'm so glad we did.I felt safe and the deli was following all the guidelines, wearing masks and gloves and making sure people were kept at a distance. Aswell as continuing amazing, friendly service. Im not at the stage to sit in a cafe yet so we got a takeout. I wasnt going to get a drink but the takeout drinks were served whilst wearing gloves so that put me at ease.The food is delicious. Thankyou for making everything seem so normal during this weird time. It made an experience that I was rather stressed over, alot more enjoyable and I could relax.Would definitely recommend and next time I will sit in!

Today was our first breakfast after the covid lockdown and it was a great experience. Crema have put thought into organising the cafe area to be covid-secure. There are lots of visible changes - from staff wearing masks to tables upstairs bring spaced out. However, this made no difference to the fantastic experience. The service was friendly, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly as ever. Don’t hesitate for a Congleton breakfast

We would like to thank you for your valued service of delivering orders during the last 3 months. As a regular customer we have appreciated being able to order our cheese, cooked meats, eggs, bread, cakes and delicious homemade lasagna. At the beginning of lockdown when supplies were short in the supermarkets it was appreciated that you were selling pasta, flour, milk and fresh yeast.“New fashioned service with a smile”.We also enjoyed our Fathers Day afternoon tea which you delivered to us. A real treat of finger sandwiches, pork pie, slice of Victoria sponge cake and scone, jam and cream.

Great good and service, the setup is safe in current climate. Loved our lunch from here. My son picked a Spanish Feta Filo instead of a sandwich and he loves it. Will be back soon.

I needed a birthday cake at quite short notice and given the significance that the rainbow has in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, I thought a rainbow cake would be very appropriate for my son’s birthday. Although it seemed unlikely this would be possible given the short notice, the staff member was very helpful and said she’d try her best and let me know. A short time later she called me to confirm the cake was arranged and would be delivered on Easter Saturday. The cake arrived with a birthday card attached. The staff went out of their way to make a difference to my son’s birthday and they did. The cake, as always, was delicious and I cannot fault the customer service. Thank you.

Saw the cake display in the window and I just had to buy! I had the Oreo cake and my mum had the coffee cake, both did not disappoint!

I call in to Crema infrequently…not because it isn't wonderful..just because I am seldom in Congleton. Everytime I visit, whether it’s for the beautiful cakes to take away or to enjoy a relaxing meal or cuppa I am extremely glad I did.The cakes are to die for. The service in the cafe is excellent and the food is smashing.The staff are all friendly and very helpful. Prices are very resonable.If you haven't already, give them a try.

Both mom and I come here for lunch when I pop over from Notts. Yesterday mom bought 2 delicious steak pies and quiches. She loves to come in for coffee and snack as it's nice and quiet. We both think your food is outstandingly good and top class. Your potato cakes are divine. I could go to town buying goodies from here. It reminds me of London or Brighton style delis. We both wish you well, and as mom is a brilliant pie and quiche maker herself, your fare is the best.

I have been going here for years. Cream is an example of a store that every high street needs...and then staff it with wonderful people.I typically have coffee (most of the time with a cake) but have also enjoyed several lunches/late breakfast. Crest choice, great service

Called in here with family whilst visiting the area. I had the cheesecake and coffee which were both delicious whilst others in our party had lunch. All the food was fantastic and they sell some amazing cakes which we bought to take home with us.

We recently visited congleton to stay with some friends who live locally & decided to stop of at Crema for lunch. Even though the cafe was quite busy, the staff were incredibly friendly & found us a table for six people. Is was difficult to choose from the menu as there was so many delicious things on there! The cakes were also amazing so we took some home for afternoon tea!We’ll definitely visit again! If you’re in the area you won’t find a better cafe! 5 stars!!

Usually seemingly friendly but famously rude manager. Staff look suppressed under his management also when he goes loud and talking down to customers. Girls are all lovely.

1st visit to this restaurant. Staff very efficient, food very good, good buzz with. Close to the ‘four banks, so parking easy.

Staying in Nearby for a few nights I visited the high street and found this gem of a place. As you walk past all the fabulous food on the deli counter you know when you sit down to eat in there it’s going to be great and I wasn’t disappointed . The staff are all brilliant, must be a great place to work as they are all smiles. Definitely call in if you’re passing.

Visited recently for brunch with a friend & really enjoyed my first visit. I had eggs royal which was delicious & great portion size as well as reasonably priced.

The owners and workers are very lovely and the food there is amazing. There is a little restaurant in there but only a small size. There is some seats outside as well if yoy wanted to eat. I highly recommend this place!

On my first visit to Congleton I had a really wonderful experience at Crema Deli. I was with my 2 year old and 2 month old, I wanted to stop for a drink and to feed my baby. I looked in the window and thought maybe there wouldn't be enough space so would go to the chain over the road, however the window display was so tempting I thought I had to go in an buy something for later. They were so friendly when I went in, I asked if there was space for us and they were so accomodating. The other patrons were also very helpful while I was feeding the baby. When it came to leaving I needed to change my baby's nappy but there wasn't any facilities. They went out of their way to find a space for me. It was such a wonderful experience, as well as the food and drinks being fantastic! Look forward to returning when I can.

Great lunch in a nice relaxed placed. The staff are also very friendly. Really enjoyed my Panini but also had food jealousy over hubbies beef salad. Yum!

The food is another level here! Once you have had one cake you will want to try them all! Depedning on the day they will have also made some vegan or gluten free cakes! I also reccomend staying for lunch as the mains are also extremely tasty, even the salads! And believe me, they are not just any old salads! Family friendly and great atmoshphere!

We stumbled upon this lovely place almost opposite a large coffee chain. We decided to support the local trader. A good decision! We had a lovely hour or so in the Spring sunshine drinking tea and eating custard tart, vanilla slice, scones and jam and Eccles cakes! Yum, yum. Staff were very friendly and I heartily recommend this place for both a quick stop and their great delicatessen choices.

We got a space outside which was really lively due to the artisan market. Bacon cobs and great coffe n tea. Service was on time and lovely.

We shop here weekly. Wonderful choice, friendly staff. Highly recommended. WE egt our bread, cheese olives etc from there and when I'm left to get my own lunch a get Lancashire pasties and occasionally a Dolci Various fillings, I prefer vanilla. I've never eaten in here but its always crowded

We have been to Crema several times now - my husband, my little girl and I and also me on my own. The food is always amazing and reasonably priced for taking away or eating in and the coffee is good! The staff are so welcoming and are always so lovely with our daughter. Definitely recommend a visit if you are in or around Congleton.

Called in today for coffee and cake and everything was wonderful. Obviously a busy and popular place but we’re were served quickly and efficiently Lovely.

Lovely helpful staff and fabulous food. The lemon meringue pie is to die for! Always call in when I’m in town and will continue to do so.

Its a lovely little café, always very busy both downstairs and upstairs. The owners and staff always make you very welcome and are genuinely friendly, they love kids. The flat white is the best in town, not too strong, just right for me. They have lovely fresh food at reasonable prices.

Popped in for lunch. Upstairs cafe is comfortable with some tables having arm chairs. We both had a breakfast type bap. Simple and just what was needed for a quick lunch before we went back to work. More variety than Costa opposite, and certainly more comfortable. One drawback - inside seating area is not large so you might be disappointed.

I visited Crema on Saturday with my sister and little nephew. My nephew had a mild reaction to what he had eaten and the staff were absolutely brilliant with coming over to tell us what the ingredients were and showed genuine concern, checking he was ok as we left. They even knocked the meal off our bill, which was not expected! Lovely people.

You can take a coffe outside at the small table - if the weather is good, or visit the cafe upstairs. The cafe has interesting decor. Cakes are an obvious, but not the only choice. All food is nicely served and is fresh.

My wife and I frequently return to Crema whenever we visit Congleton town centre for delicious coffee and shop at the deli. The customer service is excellent with friendly staff and the deli has a continental feel. In the summer we enjoy sitting outside on the parade watching the world go by.

Crema is tiny but bursting at the seams with a delicious selection of delicacies, both savory and sweet. Scrumptious!

This was the second time I have been to Crema, who provide lovely food, but the cafe itself is cramped and unsuitable for families and our bill came to £32.00 for one adult and two children - this was £13.00 over what we ought to have been billed. And this was after a discrepancy we had already queried but because they do not itemise the receipt, it is the second time this has happened. The staff were neither apologetic and made me feel as though it was my fault, even though it was their mistake and I was very disappointed by the overall customer service received.

Hubby and I dined here last week. I had a quiche, salad and saute potatoes and hubby had steak pie, saute potatoes and gravy. Couldn't fault the food. The staff are friendly and attentiff. Very reasonable prices. We took home a couple of meat and potato pies. Warning: we will be back.

I have visited Crema twice now, and sit in the upstairs café. The staff are friendly and the service excellent. I have had brunch here, and the food always arrives well presented and tastes great. The prices are reasonable too.

I have been a regular customer of the Deli for many years and always find the quality of the food excellent. There is plenty of choice of breads, cakes, salads, pies, cheese and cooked meats. The cooked meats are the best in town!

Perfect place to pop in for a drink or a snack. The food is top notch and there is a good choice but whatever you choose you won’t be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and always happy.

Crema Deli never fails to deliver 1st class food. Be it take away or eating in. You might pay a bit more but it's worth it for special occasions, and takes the pressure off catering for a party at home.

This has a small shop front with some tables outside and what seemed to be a constant queue buying food at the counter - and indeed for the loo! There are a few tables downstairs and others up some steep stairs to the front of the building. The meals are made up from items on display in the shop. We had platters of Mediterranean delights, salads and tasty flatbread, cheese and olives and lovely dried tomatoes etc. Just the thing on a hot day. The service was excellent and very charming. This is a little gem of a deli with take away or sit option. We sat upstairs, nice little area not too cramped with waitress service.

Great food, friendly staff and fab coffee. The deli has a large range of tempting savouries and cakes, wish I could have tried them all.

My wife and I visited this absolute gem of a cafe yesterday.... wow, such a treat! From the extremely friendly and convivial welcome, to the quality of food (inc. vegan and vegetarian options), to the warm and funny waitress.... we cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful cafe with all its delights! If you are in Congleton..... just go and you will not be disappointed!

This place is fantastic, we visit often with the children, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, there is a great selection on the menu and on the deli counter and what I’ve tried was delicious! They also have a lovely selection of cakes too which are simply yummy. I’m from congleton and have only heard positives about this lovely little place, highly recommend.

A traditional bakery shop selling sweet and savoury products in the pedestrian centre of Congleton. The little cafe at the rear of the shop is clean and bright, with friendly staff. The coffee was good, the food was excellent.

We love the 'Congo' and it's amazing parkrun. If you run, walk or jog, get a barcode and go do...

Fantastic home made food. Good portions. The cafe is lovely with an upstairs area as well as outside areas. You can also eat on the ground floor. Alternatively visit the deli and you won't be disappointed.

We went here for breakfast but the omelettes looked great so I ordered a ham, cheese, mushroom and onion, it arrived full of ham and mushrooms with a lovely side salad, my wife's panini was equally impressive.

AMAZING... food and even more AMAZING are the staff... There so polite and helpful.. My son loves there meat and potatoe pies.. And they always have something special on everyday... all homemade and fresh..

We were looking for a place in Congleton which not only did a nice breakfast, but which would be open early. TripAdvisor suggested Crema Deli, situated in the pedestrianised stretch of the high street - a great location for breakfast before doing a bit of shopping in this appealing small town. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming - the service here from a team led by an Italian man gets a big tick. There was a good choice of breakfast options and they were nicely presented. I chose the cooked breakfast which came out with a chunky slice of good bread, not your skinny supermarket white stuff. The only disappointment was the egg which was overcooked and solid - no yummy egg yolk to enjoy on that lovely toast. My daughter chose a bacon and egg barm which was tasty but expensive. In my ongoing search over many years for a really good cup of coffee in this country, the coffee here rated far better than most. I tried both the double shot Americano and the double shot espresso. They came with a good Crema, as you would expect from a cafe of this name. The indoor table area at the rear of the deli is a little shut-off from the buzz of the street and the natural light, which would suit some. If I am in Congleton again, I think I will try the outdoor tables at the front. Good clean toilets and a morning newspaper add to the appeal of this place as somewhere to begin your day.

Went for afternoon tea, with friends and were served with delicious cakes and drinks, staff were very friendly and were very accommodating. Prices were very reasonable and the selection of trying a different number of cakes in one dish was a great idea. I had never been before but will certainly go again. comfortable seating as well.

It is a lovely cafe for lunch - go solo or with family. The salad box is amazing and the panini is also great. I definitely recommend this place if you ever find yourself in Congleton high street. By far the best place for lunch/ snack/ coffee. Great service, great vibe.

Had a lovely full mushroom and bacon omelette and excellent cheese and onion quiche served by friendly attentive staff. Will definitely visit again.

I have bought cakes from here a few times recently, and not been disappointed. The quality is high and the prices reasonable. However, it's the service and general atmosphere that I really like. It's something different from the generic chain coffee shops, and lacks the pretensions of some other places in town. A real breath of fresh air. And, my daughter loves the rainbow cake so much we plan to buy a whole one for he birthday party​ next month!

I came here yesterday lunch time. All the staff I came into contact with were very welcoming, friendly and approachable. There was a great selection of food on offer. I had the bacon and blue cheese panini which was really lovely. It was not to hot to pick up or bite into. The filling did not ooze out all over the place. It was a perfect composition of what a panini should be. I had an Americano which was fine but not the best I've ever had. Top marks for staff attitude, cafe environment and food.
