Gusto in Cheshire East

We came here with our 4 year old for lunch as he really wanted pizza. We were welcomed and looked after by Vicki and she was superb with our son, really attentive and friendly. Our 4 year old got to put on the toppings on his pizza and was made to feel special. Wonderful experience and definitely one on the kid friendly list and we'll be sure to visit again! Thank you Vicki!

Only my second visit but Gusto in Alderley Edge is outstanding. Beautiful surroundings and amazing food, staff are very attentive. The rewards they have in place make it well worth keep vising . Thank you

Been in the village for many years and only went in gusto about a week ago one Saturday evening it was a nice calm classy friendly atmosphere and the staff were lovely and perlite definitely would go again and recommend

The food here is beautiful. The meatballs and prawns to start had so much flavour. The steak is one of the best cuts I have eaten in a long time. A fillet cooked to medium rare which was spot on. The meat melted in your mouth. To finish was a brownie, simple but lovely and sweet with good quality ice cream on the side. The only reason for marking down a star was due to us waiting an hour between starters and mains. This was due to a large party upstairs all ordering food at the same time. I can't fault Lidia who looked after us. She was fab and is an example of how to look after customers. She apologised for the delay and took some money off the bill

Visited yesterday as a family. Service very good and very pleasant. For the most part food was very good. The pizza was only luke warm though. Not the cheap place and portion size looks to have shrunk again since our last visit last year. Took advantage of the 50% and still a little expensive. Didn't realise until after we left that the 12.5% service charge was on the full price, not the price we paid, which is naughty of them. Used to go here quite regularly, but due to the prices it's become a special occasion place for us, which is a shame really.

Lovely resteraunt with great food & fabulous staff. The only downside was it was a tad cold.

Visited here with the 50% off January discount. Our server was very good, no complaints there.. However, the food arrived to us warm at best, starters and mains. We received the bill, we received the discount but we were charged the 12.5% service charge on the full price amount not the discounted amount. This would equate to 25% service charge. When questioned, we were told that head office had told the restaurants to do this… Really?? Asked for the other 12.5% to be returned. I will always pay the service charge for good service but to be charged double is a bit of a joke.

Portrayed as trendy, but seriously overpriced unless you got the 50% discount. Try to find an independent place where food might be better

Unfortunately not as good as I remember. Used to go alot in Manchester. Poor quality food, served cold. Expensive and also charged a service fee... didnt realise I was paying for staff members to serve me. Especially when my food was served cold I had to wait for another to be cooked my partner had finished his long before mine came out. Not even a complimentary drink whilst we waited. Poor quality steak and not cooked to liking (medimum) came well done. I feel I got better at wetherspoons!

Lovely experience. Children making there own pizza's and then havimg them cokked was a joy to watch. All meals were as expected and delicious.

This restaurant used to be great. We went this evening, a party of 6. We were showed to a table of 4 before actually finding us a table for 6. Ordered our food, starters were fine, main courses were delivered except for one. We had to ask after waiting for around 10 mins if my daughter’s food was coming. A waitress came over and said that the dish was being cooked again as they were not satisfied with it, it was pasta! We watched my daughter’s dish get delivered to another table! It did get removed from the bill though. However, the pizzas were cold and so much smaller than I remember. The garlic and rosemary potatoes were really awful, just tasted of fat. Not to be deterred we ordered deserts, they took 25 mins to arrive. By this time the staff were clearing up in the restaurant and taking out black bin bags, not very professional when people are still waiting to eat! Deserts finally arrived, crème brûlée was tasteless, the Christmas pudding and custard was cold and like dry cake. No one ever came round to see if the meal was ok or top up drinks. We had to get up and ask someone to let us have the bill which then had a service charge included which I didn’t realise. I would have not given our waitress £30 for service given that she didn’t provide any other than eye rolling. This was my birthday so should have been a special experience, it wasn’t. It was however my last visit to Gusto.

Nice vibes, good food, friendly staff, cocktails were slightly disappointing but good experience overall.

Visited for a work Christmas party and everything was great. The food, the staff and the whole place was fantastic. Would definitely go back again.

Amazing dinner Friday night. Despite it being busy we got incredible service from the staff! Food was great - can definitely recommend the pulled pork gnocchi. Thanks to Gusto for making our night special :)

Popped into Gusto after a trip to the Alderley Christmas markets. We tried some of the new Christmas cocktails since we were in the Christmas spirit and got a little bite to eat. The antipasti board was amazing, as were the meatballs. Our waitress Nicole was fabulous, very attentive and so was Jack I think his name was. They got us signed up the the gold rewards offer so very happy to join the rewards club. Thanks will be back very soon. Love the Rice’s

Would love to praise Lidia our waitress last night she looked after us so well and improved our evening so much. A lovely lady with exceptional service. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was incredible.

Consistently Amazing delicious Sunday lunch

Visited for dinner while on a weekend away. Really great choice of cocktails and the food was really fresh and delicious and I’d say pretty reasonably priced.The experience was made by our waitress Vicky. Her bubbly, warm and chatty personality made this a 10/10 she was extremely knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for her. She really is a credit to this team and I hope her efforts do not go un-noticed.

Great food (steak experience), very nice accompanying wine both only bettered by the service from Grace, who through her attention, helpfulness and outstanding customer skills made our couples night date out a truly amazing one.

I keep returning to this restaurant as it never disappoints. Good reasonably priced food, amazing atmosphere and tasteful decor contributes to a lovely night out.

A bit of a mixed bag for me... Really excellent food, and a good choice on the menu. Unfortunately both food and drinks took much longer than we would have liked. Friendly staff, but clearly systems were not working as a meal was completely missed, and only noticed as other meals were brought to the table. However, money off was given and they tried to rectify it well. Unfortunately it needs looking at given the price point of this restaurant.

Fun pizza making for the kids to keep them entertained. Salad was lovely, and cocktails were perfect for a summer's day.

Lovely staff but food took forever to come, was about to leave over an hour after arrival when starters came out (large party and meals pre-ordered - so no reason that we had to wait so long)

Apparently closes at 9.30 on Monday's at "Manager discretion". At 9.35pm staff can get a bit passive aggressive when querying as to when venue's advertised closing time actually is!

Had a lovely meal at Gusto in Alderley Edge at the weekend - six pals out for a late lunch/early dinner. The food was great, atmosphere was fab and all made perfect by the lovely Lidia. She really made the experience amazing. She really couldn't have been more helpful with nothing being too much trouble. If you;re lucky enough to get Lidia looking after your table, you've in for a fab experience. Thanks Lidia

Poor service, yet charge you a 12.5% charge for it, small portions of okay quality food. Atmosphere would be far better without stacks of dirt glasses on the table next to us and staff running around. I put down that it was my fiancée's 30th birthday and asked for a nice table. We were shoved in a corner where we were forgotten and had to stop staff when ever we wanted to order food or when we were finished. We sat with empty plates for 20minutes, sat with desert menus for 30minutes, and then less than 30seconds after I put down my desert spoon we had a waitress arrive with the bill as she said she needed the table. Would not return and would very much not recommend for a celebration. I was shocked at how poor the service was. And then to charge 12.5% for it, I have never asked to remove service charge and never would, but this was the closest I have been. When San Carlo opens you will struggle if you continue to serve like this

Very disappointed. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad one of my favourite dishes. It was expensive but we were celebrating a birthday. The dish consisted of approx 8 salad leaves 6 croutons a few anchovies and 4 pieces of mangled looking chicken. No bacon in sight and a very small portion. The waitress was excellent but I will never eat there again. The service charge was added to the bill. I left hungry so did the rest of my party who all had small portions of pasta.

Food was ok had to ask for cutlery for the starters. Ordered a large whisky which was £19.50 total rip off it was just a mainstream whisky. I will not be back, I live in the village and it is the first time I have ordered a whisky here I will avoid this rip off joint in future.

We arrived just before the kitchen closed but Frankie our server didn't make us feel rushed at all. She was so friendly and attentive, it really made us feel so welcome. The food was amazing as well, like usual, but Frankie was truly the star of the show. We will definitely coming back for the wonderful service!!

Good food but no pizza available

I came here with my family and friends and the food was delicious and excellent quality. It's a really lovely place to eat, nice atmosphere. They have a great vegetarian options too and great cocktails. Highly recommended.

Food Taste was good. Very good ambience. On road parking. Have outdoor seating. Serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks.

Had a great experience at Gusto. Great food and drink. I did have a small issue which was tactfully resolved, top marks!

We booked Gustos whilst coming up to see Coldplay at the Etihad as we were staying in Alderley / Wilmslow!

Lovely food and great service, atmosphere was good, my only grumble was the drink was massively over-priced with cheaper options being unavailable leaving only the more expensive ones, but I guess the choice is that you don't have to drink 🤣

First time visiting this branch. Very pretty on the outside and inside. I visited with my parents but I think it's a lovely place for any sort of get together either as a date or with friends. Our waitress was very nice and she remembered our whole order (including add ons and changes) which was impressive. We ordered, Margarita Pizza with Mushrooms and Red Peppers on top, a side of Roast potatoes with garlic and sage ( which were gorgeous!! Probably best thing or the whole meal ), A side of polenta chips and a A Gusto Classic Burger. All the food was really nice however it was expensive and we think for the portion sizes and the taste it isn't worth the price. Especially as there is a 12.5% service charge on which isn't optional. (I have just read someone else's review - I paid by gift card, my gift card was taken away and service charge was taken without asking. Not saying we would not have paid but I think you should be ask as it is a very large percentage especially when the food is so expensive). We also had desserts which was a tiramisu and 2 Biscoff Cheesecakes. All three were £8.50 each, again very overpriced the biscoff cheesecake had a weird taste to it which was a shame when everything else had tasted nice. Table was clean and sitting outside was nice even though it was by the main road it wasn't noisy. Toilets were clean as well. Lots of food options on the a la carte menu, I think the lunch menu for vegetarians was quite poor.

Great place, great service and love the food … BUT … the last four times I have visited, both my wife and I have had several cocktails each and felt absolutely no effect whatsoever. I have to question whether their alcohol is watered down as it certainly tastes and feels like it!!!

Nice decor Good to see the open kitchen. I had the Ragu which was a bit disapointing, tasteless and tiny portion. They add on a significant service charge to the bill which was a surprise and thought it was a bit cheeky of them. Service was slow.

From the moment we arrived u til we left was a really lovely evening, food and drinks were brilliant..our waitress was a darling unfortunately I can’t remember her name, but she was a pleasure…my daughters asked for menus without the calories on, they didn’t have any so she crossed every calorie off the 2 menus and done the same with the desert menus! We will definitely be back…well worth a visit…Thank you for making my Mothers treat one to remember 🥰

It's ok, food is very good, lots of choice on the menu and the decor also nice but unfortunately the service not great. We had a young man serving us who clearly didn't want to be there. Wouldn't rush back

Gusto is my favourite chain restaurant. The food is superb and the service is brilliant. I usually go to the Didsbury one but I met a friend here for some food and it was just as good. The lasagne is one of my favourites of all the local Italian restaurants.

We had a really enjoyable evening - good food, decent wine and excellent service from Vikki.

Food was amazing really enjoyed eating here. The staff was very helpful as we were late for the booking due parking and they still were able to give us a table. The service was great nothing was to much trouble. Would recommend.

Came in for lunch for my sis bday. The staters was nice. The waiting staff were miserable they didn't smile. Me and my sis had the scallop ravioli with lobster bisque.. I had to send them back as the sauce was cold. They just microwaved it as my sister had half a raiollli on her plate. The scallop in the ravioli was so hard. We went to pay the bill and was shocked to see a 12.5% automatic tip on the bill. We had no choice. Also a pound for charity. I would not have give that much tip. I would not rush back. The tip added alot onto the bill and the service did not warrant the amount.

The worst service ever! We were left half an hour without ordering. We had to ask to order drinks, and then the food, and everything was super slow. Food was also severely average - the fettuccine ragù tasted of nothing

Superb afternoon meal, scallop & prawn ravioli was beautiful as was the Biscoff cheesecake. I ordered a festive special old fashioned rum which was a nice way to end the meal, service was both friendly & attentive. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years & never once had a bad meal in any of the gusto restaurants I’ve visited, always busy with a good vibe, this restaurant gets it right every time, you can see why they’re so popular.

Went last night. The welcome and ambiance of the restaurant is great. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t great as the service was abysmal. The food took ages to arrive by which time the kids we’re starving. The steak we had also had been smothered in butter but we didn’t ask for it to be removed as the food had already taken an age to arrive. The lady serving us was very apologetic and tried to fix the problem but when the bill came I was very disappointed to see a 12.5% service charge left on the bill with no suggestion to remove it, given they knew our service experience was bad it would have been nice to remove the charge. Probably won’t return which is a shame as I live quite close by.

First time visiting today after the recent refurb. Really lovely, great service, delicious cocktails and the place looks really nice, cosy and abit special. I was there with my mum and the waitress Vikki really looked after us and made us feel very comfortable, look forward to going back and I can definitely recommend 💯👍

Good food, good service and attractive decor/layout. But too noisy with chatter etc...couldn't hold conversation across the table and ambient music was inaudible, unless you went to the toilet! Some sound insulation or similar needed to reduce transmission of high frequency chatter across the room.

Always a great atmosphere, staff that are always happy to help and make you feel more than just a customer eating! Amazing range of food and always cooked to perfection! I love this spot x

I enjoyed this quaint Italian restaurant in Alderley. It's relatively cheap and serves good quality food. I had a fish dish and was a little let down by the portion size of the vegetables.

The place was lovely & the staff very friendly but doesn't cater well for my allergies. Ended up being quite expensive
