Nice atmosphere but very packed on a 50% discount night. Went last week and the food was not very hot. I think it's because it was so busy.

Gusto hosted an event for our community group in their upstairs area. The venue was lovely, and meticulously prepared for us, with our seating arrangements organised to perfection Ben was the perfect host, ensuring we had everything we had requested, and some we had forgotten! All the staff were attentive and helpful, and went out of their way to make the evening a success. Thanks Gusto - we will be back soon.

Had a great meal at Gusto Alderley Edge on Sunday. Thanks to Olivia and Ben and all the staff. Great food, fab service and a great atmosphere. I love being a Platinum member as we get 40% discount on the food. My particular favourite dishes are the scallops and the tuna. This is the BEST Gusto by far.

Booked a table for 3 people for a work meeting, my guests arrived and were told ' oh sorry, kitchen is closed due to problems. At no point whatsoever did anyone try to call me to let me know. When I called the restaurant I was casually told they had called everyone. No apology and the girl was quite rude. No. I would not recommend

Service was very slow we waited for over an hour for our main courses. Food was average at best. It was my son’s 21st birthday celebration. We gave them a cake to bring out after the meal, I had to ask 3 times for it to come out as we were fed up waiting for 40 minutes. We eventually gave up and took the cake home as the moment had be ruined. Terrible service 3 staff on for a full restaurant wasn’t good enough. A Complete waste of money.

The venue in Alderley Edge has a very pleasing aesthetic. The staff were all very attentive without intruding, they were extremely helpful and friendly, wanting you to have the best experience possible whilst there. The food was cooked well and it was very flavourful. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Duck had been removed from the A la carte menu, which was a disappointment for both of us. The restaurant is child friendly and has good accessibility for any one who may be less mobile.

Brilliant evening just spent in Gusto, Alderley Edge. Great food, even better price. Our lovely young waiter Jack was very attentive and also sorted out my Gusto rewards account in 5 seconds. I had spoken to Ben the manager and Harriet at customer services who had been trying to sort for over a week. Apparently I was using a very old training ap that was on my phone.

The restaurant was full downstairs so potentially had a good vibe. However it was so cold my wife ate with her coat on. Spoilt the evening. Upstairs was lovely and warm but that section was closed off- we did ask to move but we were told that it was not possible. Food was high quality with average service. The January offer of 50% off the price of food was appreciated. Come on Gusto on a cold night open upstairs and keep your customers warm.

Too loud and noisy. Very difficult to have a conversation with friends while eating. Pizzas were burnt but slow service. Good for GF requirements.

We were guests at our daughters birthday and one couple of a party of 12. The waitress was attentive, without being obtrusive, the starters and meals arrived promptly, without feeling rushed. Everyone agreed that their meals were cooked perfectly. Also a tiramisu with a candle was given to my daughter in honor of her birthday, a nice touch. The bill was divided amongst us efficiently and accurately. A very enjoyable evening.

Yet again very slow service , 1 hour and 30 minutes to wait for a burger and 2 pizzas! Sat on a table in the corner out of the way, no one came to take our order , then the long wait for the food, too busy and not enough staff . All the tables around us got their food before us even though we were there long before they had arrived. We won’t be going again, plenty of better places in Alderley with much better service. Service charge already added to the bill, what service! Disappointing evening out.

AGGRESSIVE MANAGEMENT - AVOID! if I could have put 0 here I would for the manager. Earlier today at Gusto in Alderley Edge. The behaviour of a manager, was not only unprofessional but deeply upsetting. During our visit, my partner ordered veal with white wine sauce. Upon taking one bite, he found the sauce bitter and sour, describing it as the worst thing he had ever tasted. We politely informed the manager about the issue immediately. While he offered to replace the dish, we declined as we were in a hurry and instead requested a takeaway box for my pizza. The manager’s attitude quickly turned unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. He appeared dismissive of our concerns, which we found highly inappropriate and unrepresentative of Gusto’s standards. His demeanour was immature and seemed deliberately aimed at making us uncomfortable. As we waited for the bill, the manager stood with two female staff members nearby, gossiping in a manner that was clearly intended to intimidate us. To our surprise, the diners at the table next to us leaned over to express that the manager “wasn’t happy” that we did not like the food. This affirmed that our calm and respectful feedback had been mishandled. When the bill was finally brought, we noticed the veal remained on it. I respectfully asked for its removal, explaining that the dish was inedible due to the sour and unpleasant taste of the sauce. I didn't dispute the service charge and £1 donation at this time. Rather than addressing this matter professionally, the manager raised his voice, dismissively claiming that it was “not his problem” if we did not like the food. He argued that because my partner had taken one bite, the dish could not be considered inedible. When I asked if the manager had tried the sauce himself to understand our concern, he abruptly snatched the receipt from my partner’s hand in an aggressive and highly unprofessional manner. While he reluctantly agreed to remove the veal from the bill, he continued to act inappropriately, shouting at us, “Don’t bother rushing back.” I was deeply embarrassed and humiliated by this interaction. I was shocked to be treated so disrespectfully and aggressively in what is meant to be a professional dining establishment. When I asked for his full name and his manager’s details, the manager was evasive and reluctant to provide this information. He finally gave a name and an email address of his manager (which surprise surprise has bounced back as non existent). At this stage we felt too uncomfortable to ask for the service charged to be removed,due to the manager’s aggressive demeanour. We paid for everything except the veal and intentionally left the untouched pizza in its box on the table after paying, as we were astonished and disheartened by the way we had just been treated. I trust that Gusto takes such matters seriously. I am requesting a full investigation into this incident and that appropriate action be taken, including consideration of whether this individual is fit to represent your brand in any capacity.

Disgraceful Waiter and Bad Food Quick lunch ruined by the ridiculous behavior of the waiter, who said his name is Ben, and the Manager. We were polite from the start, but Ben’s attitude was disgraceful. When I calmly mentioned the dish wasn’t to my liking, he raised his voice and acted like a child. His behavior was not just unprofessional it was pathetic. We gave Ben every chance to handle things properly, but he got defensive and spoke to my wife in a completely unacceptable way. If she hadn’t calmly put him in his place, things could have escalated. I stayed calm, as I always do, but it was hard not to remind this weird waiter of some basic manners. The food? Inedible. The veal came with a sauce so tart it tasted like apple cider vinegar, and one bite gave me an upset stomach. Avoid this place unless you want to eat bad food and be insulted by a geek pretending to be a waiter.

We had booked to take our parents out for a Christmas meal. We chose the festive menu. Two starters were OK, the smoked salmon plentiful and the dill cream very nice. The mushroom bruscetta was dry, the toast was hard. The main courses arrived on cold plates and the food ranged from absolutely cold (chilled) to warm, not hot at all. The waiter was excellent and quickly took the plates away and arranged replacements. These arrived after a while and although the plates were tepid, the food still wasn't hot (worrying) and not pleasant at all. We spoke to the manager and the main courses were refunded. We didn't stay for dessert or coffee. We still ended up paying £85 for a bottle of prosecco and 4 starters. A waste of money. A very disappointing treat for our elderly parents who struggle to get out. Sadly, our Christmas treat was ruined.

We ordered Turkey. Well it was the worst turkey dinner Iv ever had. Totally dry over cooked turkey barely any gravy couple of tiny potatoes and some soggy over cooked disgusting brussel sprouts. Couldn’t get anyone to come over and get us another drink so we left. Bill had service charge added on already which we asked to be removed

Food was brilliant, lots of good choices. For a starter, main, dessert and drink we spent about £38 each. Service was a little slow towards the end of the night, but it seems this is a common thing nowadays. We had very friendly staff. The restaurant was decorated lovely - modern and cosy - with nice music too. Shame we got unlucky as there was a group of about 18 teenage boys being very loud and shouting throughout the evening.

We had a really lovely time at Gusto. The food and service were excellent! A special mention for Jack, who looked after us all night. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he provided great service! We will definitely be back!

We came to try the Sunday Lunch, it was really busy and everything was spot on. A test is the quality of the vegetables and they were perfectly done. My husband had Roast Beef and he said it was lovely. Get in quick as they are flat out busy and the staff are brilliant - our waiter said ‘he loves working at Gusto’ its shows, well done team

Our server Vicky was an incredible hostess, an incredible lady and a wonderful server! It was an incredible night, thank you for looking after us so well!

Great service great food Been out for lunch with my wife and qe had such a lovely time...! The food its always soot on and the new dishes are just amazing...! We were look after by Lidya like Royalty..! Congratulations on the new staff too..! Emely was really friendly and always had a smile on her face...! It was great to see the restaurant full of families having their Sunday lunch ...! We are Sunday guests but the experience repeats every sunday...! Well done Gusto ...!

We’re visiting from South Yorkshire for work purposes. And honestly we can say absolutely everything about our experience was A grade. The best of the best. The food was astounding. We had creamy mushrooms and bruschetta for starter and they were both great, but the mushrooms were otherworldly, a Ragu and Arrabiatta for mains and both were astounding. For dessert we had a bombolini with salted caramel ice cream and pistachio crème brûlée. Again both astounding. Whilst the food was all amazing by far the best part of our visit was the incredible service from Vicky. There’s nothing better than someone who is great at their job. Refreshing to have someone so.

Went for an organised company meal. For a 3-course set meal for almost 40 people, the service was organised and very welcoming. The food was beyond what I personally expected it being a set meal. Drink prices were decent as well, considering it was in Alderley Edge. Big thanks to Ben (GM) who was the point person from arranging the meal to welcoming us and Jen (service staff) who ensured we were taken care of on the day!

Dinner was fantastic, we took advantage of the platinum card offer which has been extended to fridays for the month! Everything was so tasty, but i must make special thanks to iur server, Lydia. Our first time here and was well worth the visit. We only had a light lunch but it was amazing. Super friendly staff, very knowledgeable, very help and nothing to much trouble. We will certainly be going again.

We have dined hear several times this year along with getting takeout and the food is always very good we dine with a large party of 25 and the food always arrives at the same time, hot and delicious. The service is always outstanding and Emily and Jess always go the extra mile. We have used the upstairs restaurant for meetings and the space and set up is great. Most recently went to their Christmas showcase and can’t wait to come in for Christmas lunch. We can’t recommend this place enough fab for work meetings and meals

Fantastic experience. Food was delicious and there was a good pace to service ensuring we had drinks at all times. Our server Vicki was fantastic and her personality was a delight. She was joyful and certainly added to the meal we enjoyed. I highly recommend the brunch punch drink.

Vikki provided exceptional service. She was polite, friendly and has by far given the best service we have had in any restaurant in a very long time.

Absolutely wonderful place to come as a couple or as a family. The staff have always been really attentive to us and in particular our son who is SEN. The food had always been more than beautiful, presented, taste and portion. The atmosphere is lovely and we keep coming back monthly because its the perfect place for a lovely night out, time together and 10/10 food!

My partner's seafood risotto was so salty she couldn't finish it and she usually loves salty food! When we asked for the bill they tried to cheat us by adding 4 other food items and drink items below the things we did eat. They also added a charity donation sneakily tucked away as if it was another food item - Who does that? Trying to sneak extra charges in! And that's not to mention the extortionate service charge automatically added to the bill. I will definitely tell my friendship groups and family about the bad experience and recommend they find something better!

Nice restaurant. Very quiet as it was Tuesday night and pouring with rain. Staff friendly and helpful. Pan fried salmon was delicious as was the garlic bread with cheese. My son had Carbonarra and it was huge. Found they do offers mid week if you subscribe. Maybe if you were a regular worth checking out. The platinum club it was called.

The restaurant was really quiet when we arrived, but the food was great. As always, the service from Jack and Lydia was first class - they always look after us so well.

Fantastic food with excellent service at Alderley Edge Gusto. My son had just donated his hair to the Princess Trust and Vicky made him a special desert to celebrate his donation. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for making "hair cut day" even more memorable.

Booked a surprise 50th birthday party at Gusto in Alderley and it was amazing, the whole team were so helpful and professional, they were so accommodating and took control of the event to ensure all our guests were happy. Food was incredible and the service from the team especially Vicky and Emily was above and beyond. I could not recommend this venue highly enough

First time visiting. Sadly service was very slow when it didn't appear very busy. Half way through dinner my husband actually got up and went to the bar to order himself another drink as no waiter to be seen and the bill at the end we requested 3 times and must of waited about 20 minutes. I never season my food, don't do salt but I had to on the pasta as it needed something! Shame really as I'd wanted to visit for a while and finally got the opportunity and was left disappointed.

Three of us went last night. We enjoyed great staff & fab food in a really nice environment. Frankie served us last night and she was super friendly and very efficient. Credit must go to the management, as their staff and the environment is always fantastic. The cherry on top is their Platinum card (think it cost £65 pa) where Sun- Thu, you get 40% off the food. The restaurant isn’t cheap but it’s decent value for the food, staff and experience, Take 40% off the food though and it’s outstanding value! Thanks again Gusto for looking after us so well and we’ll see you soon ;-)

Service was slow and be prepared for the bill to have a 10% service charge and 1 pound donation to something. Not a fan of places that do this but the ambience was nice and the food and drinks were delicious. Will go back and give them another try.

We came here with our 4 year old for lunch as he really wanted pizza. We were welcomed and looked after by Vicki and she was superb with our son, really attentive and friendly. Our 4 year old got to put on the toppings on his pizza and was made to feel special. Wonderful experience and definitely one on the kid friendly list and we'll be sure to visit again! Been in the village for many years and only went in gusto about a week ago one Saturday evening it was a nice calm classy friendly atmosphere and the staff were lovely and perlite definitely would go again and recommend

The food here is beautiful. The meatballs and prawns to start had so much flavour. The steak is one of the best cuts I have eaten in a long time. A fillet cooked to medium rare which was spot on. The meat melted in your mouth. To finish was a brownie, simple but lovely and sweet with good quality ice cream on the side. The only reason for marking down a star was due to us waiting an hour between starters and mains. This was due to a large party upstairs all ordering food at the same time. I can't fault Lidia who looked after us. She was fab and is an example of how to look after customers. She apologised for the delay and took some money off the bill

Visited yesterday as a family. Service very good and very pleasant. For the most part food was very good. The pizza was only luke warm though. Not the cheap place and portion size looks to have shrunk again since our last visit last year. Took advantage of the 50% and still a little expensive. Didn't realise until after we left that the 12.5% service charge was on the full price, not the price we paid, which is naughty of them. Used to go here quite regularly, but due to the prices it's become a special occasion place for us, which is a shame really.

Lovely resteraunt with great food & fabulous staff. The only downside was it was a tad cold.

Visited here with the 50% off January discount. Our server was very good, no complaints there.. However, the food arrived to us warm at best, starters and mains. We received the bill, we received the discount but we were charged the 12.5% service charge on the full price amount not the discounted amount. This would equate to 25% service charge. When questioned, we were told that head office had told the restaurants to do this… Really?? Asked for the other 12.5% to be returned. I will always pay the service charge for good service but to be charged double is a bit of a joke.

Portrayed as trendy, but seriously overpriced unless you got the 50% discount. Try to find an independent place where food might be better

Unfortunately not as good as I remember. Used to go alot in Manchester. Poor quality food, served cold. Expensive and also charged a service fee... didnt realise I was paying for staff members to serve me. Especially when my food was served cold I had to wait for another to be cooked my partner had finished his long before mine came out. Not even a complimentary drink whilst we waited. Poor quality steak and not cooked to liking (medimum) came well done. I feel I got better at wetherspoons!

Lovely experience. Children making there own pizza's and then havimg them cokked was a joy to watch. All meals were as expected and delicious.

This restaurant used to be great. We went this evening, a party of 6. We were showed to a table of 4 before actually finding us a table for 6. Ordered our food, starters were fine, main courses were delivered except for one. We had to ask after waiting for around 10 mins if my daughter’s food was coming. A waitress came over and said that the dish was being cooked again as they were not satisfied with it, it was pasta! We watched my daughter’s dish get delivered to another table! It did get removed from the bill though. However, the pizzas were cold and so much smaller than I remember. The garlic and rosemary potatoes were really awful, just tasted of fat. Not to be deterred we ordered deserts, they took 25 mins to arrive. By this time the staff were clearing up in the restaurant and taking out black bin bags, not very professional when people are still waiting to eat! Deserts finally arrived, crème brûlée was tasteless, the Christmas pudding and custard was cold and like dry cake. No one ever came round to see if the meal was ok or top up drinks. We had to get up and ask someone to let us have the bill which then had a service charge included which I didn’t realise. I would have not given our waitress £30 for service given that she didn’t provide any other than eye rolling. This was my birthday so should have been a special experience, it wasn’t. It was however my last visit to Gusto.

Visited for a work Christmas party and everything was great. The food, the staff and the whole place was fantastic. Would definitely go back again.

Popped into Gusto after a trip to the Alderley Christmas markets. We tried some of the new Christmas cocktails since we were in the Christmas spirit and got a little bite to eat. The antipasti board was amazing, as were the meatballs. Our waitress Nicole was fabulous, very attentive and so was Jack I think his name was. They got us signed up the the gold rewards offer so very happy to join the rewards club. Thanks will be back very soon. Love the Rice’s

Consistently Amazing delicious Sunday lunch

Visited for dinner while on a weekend away. Really great choice of cocktails and the food was really fresh and delicious and I’d say pretty reasonably priced.The experience was made by our waitress Vicky. Her bubbly, warm and chatty personality made this a 10/10 she was extremely knowledge and nothing was too much trouble for her. She really is a credit to this team and I hope her efforts do not go un-noticed.
