The garlic bread was ok. The two mains were inedible and not eaten. We think the cream used on the risotto and carbonara was off. Absolutely tasteless and minging. Probably the worst meal we have had in a restaurant. Not a good way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Seriously wish we had gone elsewhere!!! Never again.

Lovely looking restaurant in Macclesfield, we went in at 8pm on a Sunday evening & there was only 1 more table dining at this time. we were told they closed at 9pm as we entered we ordered our food which was as follows Bruschetta Pomodoro ( £6.95 ) larger starter portion, nice & fresh with lots of topping Bruschetta Gamberoni ( £10.95 ) 3 prawns in delicious spicy rich sauce Linguine Genovese (£13.95) rather large portion, lots of pesto & parmesan really tasty Lasagne (£14.95 ) this was really tasty, rich & lots of layers of pasta but not the largest of portions for the price Galirc Bread With Cheese very tasty & lots of garlic & Bottle of Pinot Grigio Blush really enjoyed this bottle of wine Total price for meal wast £79 Over all the meal was really good we enjoyed it , its not the cheapest of place but it's all good quality & very tasty the only thing what i dont understand is this trend that restaurants say they close at 9pm & they literally stop serving existing customers at the 9pm, we did get asked if we would like any more drinks as the bar is closing now at 9pm & we was asked to pay also at this time even though we was still eating our main course & when we had finished our meal we couldn't order a dessert as the kitchen has closed which all seems very odd way of working, surely you look after your existing customers so if you go to dine at 8pm you would be pushed & rushed to get 3 course meal if that what you require

Always really good Italian food. Really wide range of food, plenty for gluten free and vegetarian if that’s your thing. We have eaten here many times and ordered takeaway too.

Delicious meal at finas. We both had a starter main and desert and one bottle of wine. I had the calamari and then the chicken pasta dish with tarragon sauce which was generous and extremely delicious. I then had the creme brulé. Nice wine also. Meal came to over £100 so quite expensive but delicious never the less.

A lovely venue within walking distance of my accommodation. Nice staff who showed us to our table and took our drinks order. Had the Cozze Crema muscles for starter with sourdough to mop up the delicious sauce. My beef stroganoff was outstanding, almost better than I make at home 😃. House red was very good. Overall very happy and the price was fine. If I ever go back to Macclesfield it will be a venue of choice for my family and I.

I had a lovely evening at Fina with 8 of my friends. Service was excellent. Most of us ate of the week day deal; £18.95 for a starter and main. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I’d definitely visit again.

Food ok for100+ but to be rushed all the way through because they wanted to close the kitchen after the table had been booked for over a month for a birthday meal very strange to accept a booking for that time if no interest in giving a good service money is money and they will not get mine again

I haven't dined here for a very long time, no reason, perhaps because of its location on the far side of town. We fancied Chinese and my local takeaway was closed and Jin's on Chestergate was also closed. Arrived here without a reservation and we were seated immediately. We had the seafood risotto and the spaghetti Bolognese and both were excellent, no complaints. The wine was good and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere, I will look forward to returning.

We walked in on the off chance they could fit in a table of 6, 4 adults & 2 children. They agreed and asked us to sit in the bar area until our table was ready. No problem at all, and we were very grateful. The bar area was empty, so the kids (2 well behaved 8 year olds) sat on a small table together and chatted. We had literally waited for a couple of minutes before the guy behind the bar leaned over to ask us to keep the children with us. We looked at each other confused as the kids were literally on the table next to us. They said ‘it’s dangerous’, again we were confused by the comment. Then he said there are camera’s watching them! We were in disbelief at the guy’s attitude! They were not at all noisy and we are not the kind of parents to let our kids run around, so if they were, we would have told them! We could sense that we were not welcome and said forget about the table, to which he said fine. We have never experienced such rudeness for no reason at all! We had literally been in there for less than 5 minutes! We then went to Basilico on Chestergate where the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier and gave us such a lovely welcome. Such a shame Fina, we won’t be back!

This would be a zero star if possible. Ordered the steak medium rare, came practically mooing. Sent the steak back but the texture made me feel sick of the bits I had eaten so didn't eat my side of chips. Then the owner got involved... I asked for the chips to be taken off the order, someone else on the table ate some of them however they were meant for me, so wasn't happy paying for them. The waitress and owner came back as to make a poinlt to check how many chips we had eaten. He then made a point of taking my name numerous times, following us out of the place and telling me I wouldn't be a customer he wanted back! Well, if he is reading this, then the feeling is mutual! Alienating, rude and condescending man who needs a crash course in customer service, they made a mistake, but he dealt with it horribly. Don't bother going here, better places in town, Shame on the owner. Best regards, His latest least favourite customer.

Unfortunately there are only 2 vegetarian main meal options which is very outdated and unusual nowadays. A pizza or ravioli, very limited and boring. People were allowed to enter without masks, saying they’d forgotten them, there was a large birthday celebration/gathering happening across the restaurant, definitely more than 6 people together and groups from different households mixing very obviously. A big open plan restaurant, yet we were squashed in and very close to other tables who had clearly arranged to meet others there. Other local restaurants are taking precautions much more seriously and keeping people more safe by following the guidelines. Won’t be heading back again unfortunately.

Went to fina for my birthday and the staff and head chef made my day ... the tornado Rossini a massive fillet steak with the most amazing sauce was perfect ... if you like tarragon the chicken tagliatelle is a must ... topped with a massive tasty chicken breast and We were impressed to also be able to choose off the fixed menu think it was about £15 to include lamb shank that fell off the bone! Came for a meal on Saturday night. Good atmosphere, menu almost had too much choice. My husband had the set menu calamari to start, which was lovely then lamb shank which he enjoyed. I had garlic bread which probably shouldn't of had as I couldn't eat my main which was pasta with beef which was lovely took the leftovers home was great the following day. Also had childrens spaghetti Bolognese which was great again another big portion. Attentive staff great food and evening.

The food, service and staff are fantastic. It is a very family friendly restaurant and under new management. The food I had was exquisite. I had pate for starter, chicken gnocchi and mushroom main and raspberry and lemon sorbet. We were greeted by a young female manager who gave us a choice of table and was very polite she also gave clear recomendations and clearly knew about the menu in depth which was nice to see. Drinks were served immediately, The starters came out relatively quickly considering how busy the restaurant was and they were delicious the calimari is definitely reccommeded. One of us had lasagne which was incredible, healthy portion with a really nice sauce and cooked to perfection and one of us had risotto that was a perfect consistency and taste after adding a hint of Parmesan cheese which is offered to the table... would eat here every night if I could, definitely recommend this place and will be taking a lot more of my friends in the future.

Wife had the veggie spinach ravioli whicheck was swimming in oil which made it taste of nothing else!! Have been coming here for years and always was pleased with the service and food but recently Ales the previous manager took ownership. I didn’t think it could get better but it has. Fantastic service by an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly team. Ales is there greeting everyone personally and making you very welcome showing a huge sense of pride which is greatly and rightly deserved.The menu has changed along with the head chef and offers a fantastic choice. I had calamari cooked to perfection followed by pollo fungi con gnocchi - absolutely gorgeous. The sauce was impeccable and the mushrooms in the sauce were obviously fresh as the flavour was outstanding.A highly enjoyable and tasty meal, with a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.Well done Ales, you have taken it to the next level. We ate early, so there was only a handful of people in the restaurant. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The food is amazing. To start I had the chicken liver pate which was delicious. My father had the king prawns - more like baby lobster. For mains i had lobster ravioli, but the rest of the party had the Fina Penne (i think it's called that). Fillet steak in brandy sauce - looked so good i wish i had that. People might find it a little pricey, but being a southerner i thought it was very reasonable. Simply brilliant.

Delighted to see that Fina has reopened after being closed for a short while. There's an exciting new menu, with twists on many of the Italian favourites that Fina was well known for. Under new management (the outstanding Alesh is now in charge) many of the old team remain. We ate at Fina last night. After olives and a 'half-half' pizza to start, I chose linguine con gamberoni (filled with succulent king prawns) for my main course. My better half opted for the pizza parma, with a light crispy base and delicious toppings. If you haven't been to Fina before or haven't visited in a while, do give Fina a try. The portions are generous and the cooking is excellent. The whole team is working hard to make Fina better than ever before. Support this great local independent restaurant!

With so many 'chain' Italian restaurants, it was a pleasure to stumble on one that actually knows how to cook great Italian food. My wife and I both had the mushroom first course, which was exemplary - so much taste from so little. For our main courses, I had steak Diane while my wife had to pan roasted salmon. Again they were a pleasure to eat. To have food of this quality on the lunchtime 'set menu' was quite remarkable.

We had a reasonable experience but nothing special. The surroundings are pleasant but we had the stickiest table I've ever encountered. We were following the recommendations of the friends we were with so didn't feel we could make a fuss so to be fair we didn't raise it with staff. The oblique light showed the wipe over marks but the table needed some cleaning fluid or something.

Fina is one of our firm favourites. A great menu, beautifully cooked food, generous portions, a lovely atmosphere... and friendly, helpful staff. Give it a try.

A friend treated me to lunch. I recommend Fina because I have always had a good tasty meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food is homemade delicious Italian and very reasonable priced. Highly recommended for any celebration or quiet meal.

We'd reserved a table at 8pm on Friday evening and, despite this, still got shown to a table at the back in the quiet and less atmospheric part of the restaurant. When we queried why we couldn't have the table in the front of the restaurant, the young waitress said it was for other bookings but did eventually move us. No one else came in after us for the rest of the evening. And it kinda all went wrong from there on... wrong drinks order, ages to come for food order... then when she did, the waitress didn't write it down.... 30 minutes later.... waitress comes over to apologise that they'd "lost" our order and could we remind her what it was! Admittedly they did give us a free drink at that point, which was very nice but we still had to wait another 20 minutes for garlic bread and a salad. Upon clearing our plates away, a different waitress asked us if we'd like the dessert menu. Now, by this time is WAS 9:15pm and everyone else had finished eating... so maybe that's why... but when we explained that we hadn't even had our main courses, she giggled, embarrassed and shuffled away. More waiting for the main which when it arrived, was really poor... chewy, over cooked swordfish drowned in greasy sauce with massive over cooked carrots and broccoli. I couldn't eat it. They gave us a small discount but it did little to compensate for what was a really mediocre experience. Our observations were that there was no one in charge.... just young kids with seemingly little experience and authority. Maybe it's great for pizza but we won't be risking it again. There are other, much nicer places to eat in Macc.

We’re not really ones for Italian food, but whenever we visit it’s always delicious and wonder why we never visit more often! I love the linguini gambaretti (if that’s how it’s spelt) and the hubby loves the ribs and steak. The price fixe menu is also really good value. It’s certainly the best Italian in Macclesfield.

went there 7/02/18 for a birthday party of 11 people nothing was to much trouble the staff were amazing the owner was an incredible guy very informative about his menu the food is to die for would highly recommend the restaurant ,its a 6 out of 5 they go that little bit further x

Went on a Saturday evening at 8pm. We hadn’t made a reservation but we had no trouble getting a table. The food here has always been really good and the guy who appears to be the front of house manager is very nice. He is always very welcoming and ensures great service. Highly recommend the swordfish dish. We have also previously ordered from the new Sunday roast menu and again this was excellent on our last visit. This is a really nice Italian restaurant that we hope is around for many more years to come.

Having read the reviews on tripadvisor, my Fiance and I thought we would give it a try. Both of us are pizza connoisseurs and to be fair we got as good a pizza as we've had in Macclesfield. Unfortunately the two girls that served us couldn't have looked less interested in their job, no smile or attempt at niceties. The table behind said their chips tasted like fish and the waitress replied with "that will be the fishcakes", pretty worrying that chips are cooked in the same fat as fish. Real shame as the food we had was was good.

Enjoyed my meal here we won a £25 voucher and I would definitely go again, both pasta and the pizza was lovely, nice decor too.

I attended saturday lunch and had a plesant meal served by 2 lovely waitresses overall i enjoyed the meal, however they sent one starter well after all the others following this i ordered my stake rare and it came mediam, i did not feel the need to send it back as it was still okay to eat, lastly the bill was baught over to us without us asking for it.

I got taken here for a treat and had never been before. The menu had an excellent choice of authentic Italian dishes. I opted for the chicken with mushrooms, Parma ham and cream and my partner had the lamb shank. Meals arrived quickly and the portions were huge, the food was so tasty I cleared the plate and we shared the cheesecake for pudding. We really had a nice evening out at the Fina. The menue is OK but lacking salads and some lighter options as most of the "non-Pizza" stuff is drowned in different creamy sauces. The Kids liked the Pizza (but rated it not better than Pizza Express across the road) and the Pasta, the Steak was very nice but the Lasagne a mashy something. Pudding was also variing in Quality, the cake good but the Tiramisu awful...

Not easy to spot this restaurant as it's front doesn't 'shout'. However, step inside and you're welcomed by a simple decor and friendly staff. The pizze are good if not the very best but the pasta dishes are cooked and spiced to perfection.

I was with my family for a meal and we ordered prawn skewers and Pizza for my son and Chicken Milanese. The food was too salty and despite me telling the lady who served us all she said was I will let the chef know. There was no apology or an offer to change the food. very disappointed.
