Visited on a Saturday night with a group of 11 friends. Firstly we were asked to pre-order as a large group which we did but I don't think this works for tapas. The food was tasty, well cooked & presented nicely, cannot fault the food. However, the service was terrible, despite there being a lot of Staff on duty, we felt ignored by them. The restaurant was not busy but the staff were pretty much not there. We were ignored when arriving, one friend waited 20 minutes for a gin & tonic on arrival, when chased, response was rude not apologetic at all. We were not asked if anything was alright until we had finished, nor if we needed anything else and did not have the opportunity to order any more drinks than what we ordered on arrival as no staff came near the table. We would have had a lot more drinks if able to order so the restaurant missed out here. Turns out the young inexperienced staff felt no need to be present in the restaurant to respond to our needs but were more concerned with what appeared to be socialising and eating around the bar. There is a lack of supervision of the waiting on staff, hence we purposefully left no tip. Sadly despite the food being good & the ambiance & decor being lovely, we will not visit again as the staff are so inattentive. Sadly despite Sadly despite

Group of 7 of us went on a Sunday evening We were the only ones in there, no music no atmosphere, we all ordered 2-3 tapas each, I’ve got to say & we all said it was unbelievably shocking and how any one could actually serve it as food was a joke, Pork burnt ends were just either pure fat with no meat or that burnt you actually couldn’t chew them, gambas pil pil was tiny tiny prawns almost shrimp that were that over cooked you could of used them as bullets and not a hint of garlic the Jerk salmon had no jerk on it and was a tiny piece of overcooked salmon and a big piece of peach (fish & fruit) didn’t mention the fruit on menu, fish & fruit should never be served together, mojo beet was edible but all of the above also had no taste whatsoever, no seasoning and was all swimming in oil, that’s just a quick snapshot of the best bits, plates were dirty & they didn’t have quite a few things we tried to originally order from drinks to food. I would rather eat dogfood out of a tin than go here again, I’ve had some bad meals in my 50 plus years but this was by far the worse ever!

Utterly disappointing. Ordered starters and mains. All food came at the same time an hour and ten minutes later. Tried to charge us £7 for the most lame bread and dipping oils we have ever had. Food ordered was not what we got. Three out of the four drinks we ordered were not available. Ran out of bottle beer so was given cans and a dirty glass. The house white was like vinegar. The only positive was the pizza was delicious. We were later told there was only one person in the kitchen. No atmosphere. A little music would have been nice. Would not go again.

Quiet atmosphere and a bit of a wait for food but it was worth it. The Lamb koftas with red cabbage were wonderful; cod kofta, salmon jerk, garlic mushrooms I would recommended them all. Strong flavours, great combinations. The hummus was also good but for some reason the bread that came with it was disappointing - very hot and stodgy. However, not enough to spoil a great meal. Service was ok but overall the food was the star.

My sister and I decided to try Love Lane, enticed by the delicious food photos on Facebook, and we were absolutely delighted! The cuisine was amazing, the staff exceptionally attentive, and the atmosphere perfectly relaxed. We would highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Food was okay but wouldn't describe as a cosy environment as is advertised. While waiting on staff pleasant, it's a odd experience to just have 4/5 track suited young lads hanging out around the bar with their girlfriends in and between running plates of food. More the vibe of a youth club!

We arrived a little early which was fine so seated straight away...Drinks order was taken but unfortunately the wine we wanted they said they had run out..the young lads in there serving were very good apart from one who was holding a girls hand across the bar and didn't seem interested in anyone else that he had to be told by another member of staff to take an order ....it didn't look good the (girlfriend) if that was what she was sitting across the bar watching something on a tablet and being intimate with a member of staff not something you want to see and not great customer experience....apart from that the other staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was really good we had a selection of small plates and all were really good . First time here but definitely return.

We went to try out the new menu & weren't disappointed. The Cod & Lamb koftas were delicious accompanied by parmesan truffle fries and feta flatbread. James was very attentive All in all a very nice evening 😊

We used to love Ciao and was hoping for an amazing Italian. Social just lacked that friendly, Italian feel. Service lacks warmth and personality. It was quiet enough to take the time to smile at least and engage with the customers. Food is nice enough but cold and not presented brilliantly. Tiramisu had hair in it and rubbish bag left in the hallway as you walked to toilets. One of my little girls banged her head and the bar staff just looked over and carried on laughing and chatting. Ciao used to make the children feel special and that’s why they wanted to eat there! Food is expensive for what it is.
