Noughts & Crosses Pizzeria in Cheshire East

Apart from pizza, this restaurant also offers burgers under the CW11 Burgers banner. However, you can order both. Our family of five hadn’t tried the restaurant so on a chilly March evening we decided to give it a go. We did book - five people on a Saturday night in a tiny restaurant - which was just as well. The place was very busy with pizzas lining up at the oven and tables full. We ordered burgers. They were huge! They came cooked to your preference and with chips and coleslaw. The variety was amazing. I had a spicy burger, which took my breath away. Others ordered the Classic, Double Trouble, Hot Chick and the Burger of the Month. We were sitting beside the pizza making area and the pizzas looked fantastic too (next time). Five people, one soft drink each came to £80 - so a good deal.

Amazing pizza, highly recommend!

My partner and I had a late valentines treat here after we tried their waffles a few weeks previous. It is a lovely little place with nice decor and the open kitchen with the smell of 00 flour and sourdough baking made me anticipate what was to come. The staff were attentive. Sometimes you can feel rushed but they were quick on their feet, problem solvers and really polite. We shared some pulled pork fries to start which were fantastic. I usually don't go for loaded fries because they are usually soggy but these were crisp with perfectly slow cooked pork to match. Our pizza had a few hurdles getting to us, with the first one catching on the pizza oven and the one being sent out missing a few of our ad ons. They stated they would remake the pizza but we were okay with our pizzsand said they didn't need to remake it. The pizza was absolutely delight. It is light, with complex layer of flavours, a fantastic tomato base and a pizza base that was so good my partner ate the crusts which is something I have never witnessed. The waffles were delicious. The waffles have an incredible rich buttery taste and fab crunch with toppings to match. Simple ,tasty delights to end the meal. When it came time to settle we got a lovely surprise with a free pizza to take home to make up for the issues they had with our pizza. Really sweet and not needed at all for our return business. The table next to us had these amazing looking burgers which we will try next time. Finally, the lindors at the end were a welcome treat as someonenever likes the mints or sweets at the end to be able to have one finally joyful bit

I’ve been to noughts and crosses now and it’s nice to support an up and coming local business. I’ve always found the proprietor to be a gentleman. Very welcoming and passionate about his menu and business. The new outdoor seating area is great and hopefully invest in some outdoor heating and blankets as the season changes. I’m sorry to say what let’s the experience down is on each occasion we have found the waitress to not share that same enthusiasm or attention to detail as the owner/head chef. The service has been disjointed and lacking in customer engagement. It’s all basic customer service such as eye contact, smiles, check backs etc. it’s maybe made us think we will explore other new venues before we come back.

The burgers are deffintally the best in the Uk we traveled globally and traveled the UK flat and this spot has the best burgers in the UK. Taste quality amount the service was better than the standard terrible none service you get in the UK, run by a Polish team which wins hands down. This burger/pizza spot can beat the best uk burger restaurant in any place in the uk

We ordered two pizzas for takeaway it was my first visit. The pizzas were incredible. Italian style and delicious despite one of them having a Gluten free base. The restaurant looked small and intimate but had a lovely relaxed atmosphere when I walked in. I'll definitely visit again. Next time I'll eat in.

Incredible intimate restaurant… we would love to have something like this locally! A group of four of us stumbled across the restaurant through Google, having traveled to the area for a best friend’s wedding (and eaten a very average lunch at the hotel we were staying at!) we were met by a lovely interior and an amazing team, who were incredibly welcoming and the best pizza the four of us foodies have eaten in a very long time, resulted in an incredibly memorable evening… the drinks were amazing too! Thank you so much for an amazing evening- we cannot recommend the food, drink, service and venue enough.

Fantastic food. The best pizza in Sandbach (by far!)

I would give it zero stars if I could. Booked a table for 6pm they said it was no problem and took the reservation. Get to the restaurant at 5:55pm and it’s closed! No one rang to cancel the reservation or notify me they were not open. Waste of a journey and highly disappoint in there customer service. Seems to me they close whenever they want and don’t actually have official opening and closing times. Shocking

Fantastic pizza, can't go wrong

Went to the white lion in Congleton and the pizza was provided by noughts and crosses and I have to say the staff and food where phenomenal. Group of 12 and no issues for them at all, can't recommend them enough!!: Rashid was the man and his pizza was amazing

Called for order a pick up and it was ready in 10 minutes at peak time. Got it gone and it was the best I’ve had for a long time. Couldn’t be happier…

I recently had a small party at my house and ordered 10 pizzas. I ordered at least 5 different kinds off the menu including vegetarian. Every single one of the 10 was excellent. I could not fault any aspect of the pizzas or for that matter the service I received. I split my order into two separately timed deliveries of five pizzas. They all arrived on time and were fresh, hot and delicious. I love a good pizza and these are as good as you will find anywhere for miles.

Came across this little pizzeria by chance and so glad we did. The pizzas are made fresh in a huge pizza oven and taste delicious. I have dined in the restaurant which was perfect for a young family wanting a quick relaxed meal. I have also had take-away before and the pizzas were still fresh/hot and as good as when we dined in. I can also highly recommend the waffles - really good and very popular with my kids. Staff very helpful and welcoming.

I had my first pizza today from Noughts and Crosses. I am vegan and they catered for my request effortlessly. The pizza was truly out of this world. It was certainly the best pizza that I have ever tasted. I cannot wait for my next delicious pizza. Thank you.

I've had some fantastic pizzas from here in the past, I guess I wasn't quite as lucky this time round. The four different pizzas that we had were pretty good, the Italian tasting starter very disappointing and well over-priced at £12, really poor, and the garlic bread was burnt. I will go back, as the pizzas have been excellent, and don't really enjoy leaving a review like this in lockdown..... having said that they really should all be wearing masks in the kitchen and shop, exactly as they are across the road in Dominos.

On the way home and rang the family and pizza was the general consensus! Boy we weren’t disappointed they were cooked to perfection and all 3 tasted divine well done Noughts & Crosses long may you continue

Just Perfect. We make our own very good pizza's (stone based) but these guys have something we can't match. They are so accommodating with our requests and deliver on those 100% of the time. They deliver on time and the food is amazing. We were lucky enough to try their waffles yesterday and OMG!! my fella isn't a dessert fan but he couldn't get enough of them. Forget your Domino's & Pizza Hut, if you want real pizza/calzone then Noughts & Crosses is the place to go. Fantastic food and incredible staff - so glad we found you. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for being so kind.

Ordered some pizzas from Tracey and her partner this week after helping them out with there car. The pizzas were absolutely amazing and the garlic bread is one of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place. Never heard or seen the shop before in Sandbach but will definitely be visiting again 👍 Andy.

Saw great reviews for this place and had to order, service and delivery was top notch but food not good at all. Garlic bread had so much raw garlic on it was burning, pizza doughs and wedges were so salty no one could eat it - I like salty food and I couldn’t even manage 1 wedge! If the chefs had tasted one of those they never would have sent them out of the kitchen.

The pizzas were delicious and lovely to be able to get traditional pizza not overpriced American options. Service was very friendly - delivery was prompt even in lockdown Gluten & dairy free options which is a must for us This will now be our go to for pizzas

The best local pizza place. Collected or had delivery many times and has always been fantastic. I have eaten a lot of pizza and can confirm this to be some of the best. 100% better than the big chains.

We love going out to restaurants but with lockdown we had to start looking for takeaways. We are form Crewe and decided to try noughts and crosses (15 minutes away) and we were so impressed! The quality of the ingredients is just amazing! We had all the starters and all the salads and bruschetta were spot on! Pizza very very good and not greasy at all. We will be ordering more!

My partner and I love this place! He is vegan but I'm not, which can make dining out difficult because not many places offer vegan options past a plain boring salad. We both love Italian food and he is a huge fan of the vegan cheese on the pizzas! I like to try the specials which are updated monthly, including special waffles. We have dined in a few times, and ordered for both collection and delivery multiple times and have never had a problem. We collected our food today and despite the current lockdown they are still providing great food and service - the staff are very good and you can tell they put their hearts into what they do. We are very lucky to have this business locally and hope they continue to thrive.

Been getting pizza from here pretty much every weekend since it opened and it’s consistently amazin. The owner and staff are always really friendly and welcoming and never had to wait more than 10 mins for a pizza. By far the best pizza place about. Would definitely recommend!

Fresh pizza cooked in a proper Italian pizza oven. Amazing freshly cooked waffles and really friendly service. Overall a lovely evening and not expensive. 3 courses for 3 of us including drinks was £60.

Met a couple of friends here for a bite to eat. We were warmly welcomed and seated, advisable to book as a very small seating area. The food was lovely, pizzas, salad and delicious waffles to finish. Great friendly staff. A touch expensive, however I would definitely go again.

Always enjoyed visiting noughts and crosses on the few times I’ve eaten in there. First time ordering pizza tonight (after two phone calls prior a few weeks before and being told they have no delivery driver) - all I ordered was a margarita pizza. £11 for a pizza to arrive stone cold. And I mean - cold. And sloppy. I tried to call them - no answer. Facebook messaged them as it was showing they were online - no answer. Pizza in bin. Going to bed hungry.

The pizza is great, have eaten in here a few times and always enjoyed it. But take away is a nightmare! both times the food was not ready more than 20 mins after the time that we were told to collect.

Visited in between jobs for lunch on a Friday and had a quick pepperoni and a coke. Absolutely amazing. Nice to takeaway but so much better in the restaurant. Easily the best pizza I’ve had outside of New York, would recommend and revisit for sure

Delicious pizza cooked in a wood fired oven

I went for a pizza last week. Service was fast, restraint clean and staff friendly. Pizzas go for about £10 and there is a good selection. I also had a latte, which cost about £3 (£2.60 if I remember correctly). The pizza was excellent and worth the premium pricing point. Certainly when a street food pizza is £8, generally smaller and slightly less good (although most of those in Cheshire are excellent). I would recommend.

Nice rustic look inside, albeit quite small. Not geared up for largest parties, standard families is fine. Personally, I'd not eat in. The drinks are over priced for the venue and although the service is friendly, it has a great deal to be desired as a restaurant. Eating in is no real experience, when it could be with more attention to the requirements of running a restaurant. What makes this place stand out is the pizzas. They are the best pizzas I have ever had. Stunning stuff. Why anyone would eat a Domino's etc when this place is half the price and 1000% better, is staggering. Go get a take out just one, you will not regret it.As for eat in, they will get there, but need to get some advice on tables setup, staffing skills etc. and with their format, I think they would be onto a winner. Good luck for the future.

Love this place. The pizzas are the best. Staff are wonderful. Always great you with a smile. Treat my daughter like an adult. Everywhere is clean. Small building but means it dosent get over crowded which is a definite plus for me. No parking on the property but plenty of parking near by. (We drive here).

INCREDIBLE!! The food here is amazing, the menu is very conclusive and easy to understand. The Pizzas are all delicious; the dough is delectable and the toppings are plentiful and tasty. The decor is very rustic I especially like the bulbs! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. All in all: amazing service, surrounding and food!

Great place, nice and welcoming

We visited Noughts and Crosses last night with 2 children (4&6). It was our first visit and we weren’t sure what to expect - takeaway type, restaurant or cafe! To say we were impressed was an understatement! They were full but managed to squeeze us in and made us feel extremely welcome! The menu is great and the pizzas are reasonably priced at around £10-12. We had the pepperoni and diavola. Both were so tasty and perfectly cooked! We all love pizza and despite several trips to different parts of Italy these were honestly as good as we’ve tasted! Far nicer than other high street alternatives!! For dessert we had 2 of the waffles to share! They were generous in portion size and tasted even better than they looked!Our waitress was everything you’d want! Likeable, helpful, a genuine passion for the food and menu and knew exactly how to handle each member of the family, making us all feel relaxed and as if we were regulars! We’ll def be back very soon despite it being about 30 mins away and can’t wait to tell everyone about it!

Superb pizzas, fresh and full of flavour. Good service. Best pizza since holiday in southern France. Only 2 issues - drinks are overpriced and adjacent to busy main road ( noise and fumes ) Otherwise will revisit but not order overpriced beer & wine.

Nice pizza but I thought is was expensive; pizza+1-extra-topping+wedges+delivery was around £18. We had a delivery, ordered a pizza (they only do one size), we had to pay by card over the phone (I wanted to pay in cash on delivery), we also ordered a side dish of wedges; The wedges were well over done (potato skin was black) and the pizza edges were burnt. Overall taste-wise, I mean it was nice, but I'm not sure it's a great delivery place (at the moment), it's probably a lot nicer if you go and eat indoors. I would try it again, in a few months, but it does need to improve if they want our long term custom.

I have been here several times with my family (3 of us). Pizzas are perfect everytime (not to thick and extra flavour). Never over crowded, enough room to feel comfortable. The waffles are to die for they are scrummy. And the staff are wonderful always have time to sit down and talk, don't rush you out to make space for more. Actually take time to talk to my daughter (some people seem scared to talk to children). Will definitely return.

Ironically opposite a Dominos pizza in Sandbach and much better! Nice no nonsense pizza. Friendly staff. Short walk from free parking in Sandbach town centre. Basic, simple decor. Pizza without the BS. I wish them every success.

Absolutely love this place, my local pizzeria! Staff are so warm and welcoming and the pizza is spot on. Have eaten in, and regulary taken out and its always fantastic. Try the chocolate waffles too. Yummy!

I'd highly recommend eating here. My wife and I ate here with our two young children, and received a warm and friendly welcome. The environment is informal, the pizza is delicious with generous portions. I'd particularly recommend the side salad which was packed full of fresh ingredients - not just your usual handful of leaves.

First visit tonight and we will be back. Helpful friendly staff and great pizzas. Place has a good atmosphere, and the waffles are lovely too!!

Visited here with a friend to try it out and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is really nice inside with a rustic feel. There's a huge domed pizza oven in the corner and you are greeted by really friendly staff.

We have been ordering from here since they first opened and we have not once been disappointed! The Pizzas taste so great and homemade. We usually get them delivered however, we did sit in for the first time a couple of weeks ago and it was equally amazing. The Lady that served us was friendly and polite too which is always a bonus!

We have been visiting Noughts & Crosses since it opened and it never disappoints. The Pizza's are amazing, 100% authentic and made in front of your eyes with a huge range of options available. The staff are all great - very friendly and professional and the place itself has been lovingly decorated with a great selection of drinks. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Having been before not long after they opened we decided to get a take away last night as the pizzas were very good previously.

Visited for my daughter's 10th birthday after her party at the pottery barn. Food was excellent as was the service - the girls particularly enjoyed watching chef showcase his skills in the open kitchen! Small but cosy restaurant with a relaxed feel, booking would be advised at peak times. We will definitely be returning!

Newly opened and a bit of a little gem. It’s out of town a little bit so I hadn’t notices it but was recommended by a friend. A great choice of pizzas and really well set out. All freshly prepared in view. Will definitely return.

Me and my partner came here as a treat night out. This place is legit tasty. We had a 'genoese' and a 'maianola' pair of pizzas with a cheesy garlic pizza bread. The taste was soooo good, the staff are friendly and the place is cozy and feels just like a pizza parlour should. You can even sit at the bar area and watch your pizzas being prepared and cooked in a traditional pizza oven. I would highly recommend this place for people wanting a simple meal out, the price is really fair for the great quality you get. The atmosphere is really pleasant and you will leave feeling full and very happy Give it a try, you'll be surprised with how good it is 😋

What a find, taken the children to this amazing little pizzeria. Nothing to look at from the outside but a lovely welcome followed by truly fantastic service and food. in my opinion up there with Salvos in Leeds for Pizza

Being from Naples my husband is picky about pizza and has never said a pizza in the UK was authentic..until we ate at Noughts and Crosses!! Really well done with Italian sourced ingredients and Italian pizza chef. Really lovely location with friendly staff and great service, go try it!!
