What a little hidden gem! The food was exceptional, and this comes from a Greek who is very judgemental of so called Greek restaurants abroad. st Martha is authentic, simple, and cheffed up by Greeks. 100/100 recommend!!

We absolutely love it here, the decor, food and service are always sensational. This time we were seated in their newly opened upstairs area, it’s lovely, really cosy and ideal for a private party. Our food was once again stunning: fried courgettes with a fabulous mint yoghurt, halloumi with the most amazing grape and shallot dressing and Cretan bougatsa which was a first for us, feta, filo, honey and seasame seeds, it’s worth ordering just to see the knife used to cut it! Followed by chicken souvlaki and Moussaka, both absolutely delicious. Washed down by a couple of glasses of Greek wine. It’s always such a treat to visit this restaurant, we have a friend who visits us from ‘down south’ each year and his only request when we ask him what he would like to do is to have a meal at St Martha’s - high praise indeed.

Friends recommended St Martha's. I live in Nantwich and for some reason had never tried this very unique Greek Taverna. A phone message to secure a booking was both efficiently and politely responded to by Kelly. I took my daughter and my son in law for dinner on Saturday. It was an enchanting atmosphere supported by delightful Greek Food. This was supported by a great team effort with Tegan who looked after us at table, Harry the Manager, Kate on the bar with Kayley. In the kitchen, with Josh, Elliott and Chefs Vasiis and Spiros. My daughter has lived and worked in Greece some years ago so appreciates the very high quality of the Greek Food served. I loved the food and the the bottle of Greek Beer called Keo. My son in law was driving so he stayed alcohol free. The Taverna had that genuine Greek Feel, a warm friendly atmosphere. The whole team were delightful, genuinely working to ensure you had a great customer experience. If you have not booked a meal at St Martha's I suggest you book soon and early. It was very busy on Saturday which again indicates the very high quality of the service and food. Thank you to all of you. I know I am looking forward to my next visit. Loved this very cute Greek venue. Sat outside, which I thought would have been cold but in fact was well heated and it literally felt that you were in Greece with how it was decorated. As for the food. It was just amazing. I personally had a mix of meze selections, my hubby and dad had a main. I would highly recommend the pork belly starter!! Wow wow wow! Would definitely go there again! Service was great, authentic and very in tune to making sure you had drinks and everything you need

Just got home after such a fun evening here, great atmosphere, welcoming staff & most importantly delicious Greek meal. We opted for the meze choosing a lovely range including spokopita (my favourite!) & an amazing smoked Greek sausage. We will definitely return & try the main courses next time. Great red wine too! First time we went it was on a Saturday and it was great but last time we we on a Sunday and it was very disappointing. I wonder if they had a different chef? I ordered taramasalara but got bland hummus. The main course was meat on a pile of oil soaked bred. No vegetables, no salad, no tsatsiki. Just that. The meat wasn't that tasty either, quite bland. I wouldn't go back.

What a gem of a restaurant this is. We called in, without a booking on a Saturday and were given a table outside. Covered and heated seating area. Staff were lovely and the food incredible. Hope to return.

Nice ambience not too noisy for such a small place. Greeting and service excellent. Food was really only average the meze portions are big but the overriding taste was of tomato (pasta or tinned) not the meatballs or beans. Mains were again big but not really authentically greek, having travelled extensively around Greece.

Service was impeccable, nothing too much trouble. An absolute credit to the restaurant. Food was magnificent, very Greek! Cant wait to visit again.

Outstanding food and atmosphere. It’s a small venue and the atmosphere is electrifying and buoyant. You really feel in a different country. Immediately taken to table with a bottle of water We went with 6 small “MEZE” dishes (including pitta) and were stuffed/beaten but great value with two deserts four drinks (two beers and two wine) and sparkling water The desert (baklava) was amazing - huge portion to share - and we ordered extra to bring home Spanakopita (Spinach and feta pie) was the second best thing I have ever tasted (the first were baked oysters at the Ritz in Paris) The only bad thing were the chairs - obviously Greek in style, but they added to the character and experience The host, who I presume was Martha, was the star. Such a hostess and so welcoming at all times

Really nice food, little restaurant but full of charme...! Cozy atmosphere... The service was outstanding...! Oli was really top noch..! As well as other servers... I traveled 40 miles to visit this restsurant...! And was worth every mile....!!! We had 10 dishes, 8 tapas and 2 desserts...! Price was just right, not cheap not expensive...! Food is delicious, always! Have eaten here many times and it never disappoints! I love the fact that they have Greek wine, so a totally authentic experience! Staff are lovely, and how refreshing to be addressed as ‘ladies’, rather than the crass, Americanised ‘you guys’, which is the default address everywhere else, these days. The decor is also worth commenting on, it feels like being on holiday. I can’t single out a particular dish, as they’re all superb … although, the Beef Stifado is yum!

Dined here this eve for my birthday with my other half after seeing fabulous reviews on TA. We couldn’t sit in the main area and sat ‘outside’ but don’t let that put you off, it’s covered a bit like a conservatory and has overhead heating. We ordered dips with some changes (don’t like taramasalata) which arrived pretty swiftly, but we had to wait nearly an hour for our mains. We only ordered kebabs. The meal itself was lovely, but as a previous reviewer had stated , it would have been good it they threw in some fries or a side salad with it as it only comes with some pitta bread and a little bit of tsatiki (on a small plate) Where we live (also affluent area) for the same price the same is served with either rice or fries with a little salad). We also ordered salad and spuds which were tasty. Our rice pudding was lush also We would return if we were in the area. Reason for 4 stars was for the long wait (plus diners who came after us got their food before ours too!) Ambience and service is also good. Beth who was new this eve did a great job looking after us

We visited for the first time for my wife’s birthday. We found the restaurant very small with loud piped music making conversation across the table difficult. Starters were fine, waited a long time for mains, and when they came it was disappointing to say the least. The moussaka meat was flavourless and had massive amounts of béchamel sauce on it The chicken skewer was pleasant but accompanied by industrial quantities of pitta bread and red onions under which a small amount of green salad could be seen if you looked hard enough! Staff friendly enough, but no one asked whether we had enjoyed our food, hence this review.
