Excellent Greek food, highly recommend

Really lovely little spot. I found this as I was staying near by for work. I now stay in Northenden and drive there especially as the food and service is perfect. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, even when it’s full.

Fantastic place - everyone was super friendly and the vegan gyros was incredible! I'd highly recommend this place! We'll definitely be back.

Popped in for drinks after the Handforth Xmas light switch on. Ended up having a few starters and a few drinks. Lovely cosy place to drink and eat. The staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended.

I love this place. The cuisine is authenticly Greek. The portion size is large, and the prices are reasonable. They also do a great breakfast... And they even Greek coffees, if you ask them.

We have eaten lots of delicious food at this restaurant. From breakfast, through to lunch and dinner. Everything is delicious. A warm, friendly cafe during the day and relaxing restaurant in the evening. A wonderful addition to Handforth.

The pork souvlaki is tasty and filling; the naan that comes with it is soft and light. Chicken gyros is soft and rich in flavour too!

Have visited before on several occasions, have been with family and friends and they have always welcomed dogs, sadly on this occasion when my sister and I went in with my dog I was informed that dogs are now not allowed. Sadly I will not be going again.

We stayed two nights at the nearby Premier Inn and ate breakfast here on two mornings. Welcoming, very clean, attentive staff. We ordered the English breakfast, Avocado smash with smoked salmon. It was cooked to order and tasted delicious.

This is the third time we’ve been here in as many months and it has not failed to disappoint. We love the Giros, they’re just the best and the Baclava is soo good! We love the atmosphere, the gentle Greek music in the background and wonderful friendly staff. Make a point of visiting if you’re in the area.

Met a friend here as half way between us. First time visit but saw the positive reviews on TA. Breakfast menu with everything you'd expect but decided to try the Meet and Eat breakfast. I was certainly impressed, it was presented well and the quality of the food was excellent. Halloumi, Olives and Greek sausage along with the usual eggs, beans and mushrooms. Friendly and efficient service at a nice table by the window. My mate had the French toast and he was equally impressed, might have that next time.

Wanted to try after seeing some good reviews. They are no longer dog friendly and after driving 30 minutes from home with my dog had to drive to somewhere else.

Visited Monday as a large family. Gada variety of food between us. All excellent and very well looked after. Well worth a visit.

We ate here the night prior to a morning flight, staying at a nearby hotel who could not provide us a meal at 8.30pm ??? We walked in to Meet and Eat to a warm reception, having found it on Tripadvisor. It was so good, we went back the night we returned from holiday. This small place provides great portions of tasty well cooked Greek style food. The Gyros and Souvlaki are very good quality, the whole meal is freshly cooked and at a reasonable price for what you get. The owner and staff are very friendly. I wish it was closer to home so I could make it a regular eating place.

Found this place as a stop off on the way to Manchester Airport to pick our son up. Sat outside and ordered the eggs benedicte one with salmon and one with bacon. It was delicious , The staff were very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

By far the best Greek food around - way better than the one across the road and better than the one in Wilmslow too! Here you will not only find delicious food, you’re also greeted with warmth and genuine smiles by the two lovely ladies and all staff in general. Everything is amazing, the chicken gyros, the chicken souvlaki, mousaka, all of the small plates - it’s all delicious 10/10. Thank you guys 👏 See you soon!

I’m visiting from Australia and came here tonight with my brother and his wife. HUGE portions and outstanding service. The food was fresh and authentic, you’re able to see them cooking, everything perfect! Very impressed and highly recommend

I had seen this restaurant the last time I was in Handforth and thought it was just open during the day and not on an evening. How mistaken was I. Having read other reviews it appears to be open on an evening and what a nice surprise it was tonight. After speaking with the waiter who was very helpful, I decided to have a Tirosalata Dip (that came with pita bread) and a Chicken Skepasti. Absolutely beautiful and tasty. I must say, this is definitely finger food. There is no way you can eat this with a knife and fork. Great portion size and value for money and well worth trying it out for something different. Really good food. It did, however, take 45mins to come. We ordered coffees, but what came bore no relation to coffee as we know it. My Americana was dreadful. Hot frothy milk yuck!!!. No taste or even smell of coffee. Illy coffee label on cup. I love Illy coffee. This had no coffee in it My friends came with milk in it when she asked for cold milk on the side. Honest, we thought it was tea!!!! All 5 of us said afterwards, dreadful coffee. Not cheap, either. Shame as food is very good even after 45 minutes. Avoid coffees.

I love this place!!! Wonderfully cooked food both English breakfast items and Turkish/English main dishes. Portion size overwhelming both in mains and desserts. Great coffee! Good clean toilet facilities which I believe often reflect the kitchen standards of a dining venue.

Came here to celebrate my nan’s 84th birthday. The food was excellent, the setting was clean and cosy, and the staff were extremely accommodating. They’ve even brought out a birthday cake for my nan without us having to ask! Choice of condiments and good nature with young kids was also a bonus.

You do not need the salt and pepper from the table. The food is fantastically seasoned, with a fresh crunchy salad and delicately spiced kebab meat. The flatbread was so good I wanted to ask for a second even though I was defeated by my first. This is not to be missed if you are in the area, or even if you need to travel a little

Came for lunch and had Talagani Cheese for starter and Chicken Gyros for main course. My wife had grilled halloumi and Pork Gyros. They were both delicious and very generous portions. The waitress was very friendly and helpful when choosing the dishes. She was attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent value. Would recommend.

Popped in for lunch with my sister after a spa day. Ordered the the sharing platter. Full of amazing meets, chips, pitta breas and dips. We'll worth the money paid. Made freshly and arrived hot and very tasty. Relaxed environment and made to feel very welcomed. Lovely place will definitely will be revisiting to bring my mum, she would love it here.

This place is fantastic it’s clean in fact spotless the food is all freshly prepared no processed rubbish here!! Staff are so lovely the taste of the food is unreal we will be trying their menu one evening soon but they serve all day and the breakfast is to die for.

Meet & Eat is a gem in the heart of Handforth. My wife and I called in on the off chance one Saturday lunchtime, and oh boy, we were really happy we did... the food was amazing. As a "light" lunch, we ordered the Skepasti and a greek salad to share... this wasn't a "light" lunch, the portions were generous, and the flavours were out of this world. Needless to say, we have been back many times since and have never left disappointed. The Mixed Meat Platter is out of this world, definitely worth a try but not for the faint-hearted, a huge platter with kebabs, sausages, chops, halloumi, chips and sauces
