Visited this lovely cafe for coffee and cake both of which were lovely. Great environment - clean and tidy. Waitress was efficient and welcoming.

Lovely cafe very clean and tidy. Food and drink were fine but I'm very disappointed I was overcharged by 33% and as you are not given an itemised bill or left with the menu to check it I could nit clarify this until was home. I like to support small businesses but don't like being ripped off 😒

Been desperate to go here, sadly the apple 'crumble' was a sad bowl of mush, no crumbly topping, clearly microwaved not oven baked, whatever you order DONT order apple crumble it was dreadfully disappointing, looked as bad as it tasted.

One of the best, if not the best cafe in bury! Food is always lovely & freshly prepared. As a fussy eater it’s sometimes hard to find something that I’ll eat but with Leckenby’s menu I always manage to find quite a few items & struggle to decide! That being said the Tuna Melt panini is by far my fave, it has plenty of filling & a generous helping of a side salad & healthy crisps to go with. The staff are always very welcoming & are just lovely, nothing is ever any trouble.

Ended up have bagel and coffee as the rest of the menu was very expensive. Really do need to get in touch as they will price themselves out of the market.

We went here for some brunch on a Saturday, when we arrived/left the restaurant was only half full so not massively busy and there was 3 waitresses working. The tables are built in to the walls and the tables are small rounds so they’re very cramped. We were 3 people sat on table 4. It took over 15 minutes to get our drinks to us, two of which were cold soft drinks and one tea. The food when it arrived was very nice but the prices are extortionate. It’s £12 for a fishfinger butty. I wouldn’t mind if the service was impeccable but waiting over 15 minutes for drinks and the waitresses doing no table checks the service isn’t reflected in the prices.

Even though we live in Bury, my friend and Intreat ourselves every Friday to lunch at Leckenbys. Everything is so clean, and the food is cooked to order. The staff are so lovely and welcoming, and because of the quality of the food, and cleanliness we sometimes need to queue for 10 minutes in order to get a table, but believe me it’s well worth the wait. Their menu will suit everyone, and in particular those will specific food allergies. Give it a try xx

It’s an annual Christmas shopping ritual for my mum and I to visit Leckenby’s and it’s always exceptional quality. Beautiful fresh bread with quality ingredients/fillings, interesting crisp salads, quiches and thick tasty soups. Lovely coffee and cakes too although we had mince pie for dessert today which was served warm with fresh cream. Delicious! All the staff are so friendly and helpful and the lovely Management team, Jean and Melanie, have also been there each time we have. Their warm welcome and hospitality is another reason why my mum and i wouldn’t consider going anywhere else for our breakfast/lunch. I wish we lived closer to Leckenby’s.

Although I work in Bury I had never been to this little gem before and must say how lovely it is. My mother and I only had toasted current teacakes and a pot of tea mid-morning but the atmosphere in the cafe, the courtesy of the staff and everything as a whole was spot on. Would definitely recommend and would go again if I can find it in the maze that is Bury shopping area.

first visit to Bury so to find this delightful place for our lunch was perfect. Lovely setting in a shopping mall. Friendly and cheerful staff. Extensive menu. We had the Quiche with salad and it was very tasty. Coffee came in a cafetiere which was nice.

I was very disappointed with the quality of my quiche it was no better than a cheap frozen one i expected a higher quality, also one of our party ordered a sandwich with a side of fries the fries were the frozen scraps from the bottom of the bag when we complained the owner waited till we had payed and then became very abusive and told us not to return well I can promise you we won’t be returning what ever you do don’t complain to this cafe owner she can not take criticism as you can tell from other reviews

What a fantastic place! Amazing 5 star service and food. It is a refreshing change to experience such attention to detail and staff are so professional and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The menu offers traditional dishes and the food is top quality. I've visited several times and I've never experienced anything less than 100%. You must try for yourselves.

We have been going here for many years and it’s our favourite place to go if we want a treat. On todays visit, I was with my 2 boys (1 has autism). We were seated at a table in the middle of the establishment. Very quickly it became apparent that my son was not ok, there were too many people around him and he was uncomfortable and struggling. I asked a waitress if we could possibly move to the table in the corner but was told no, this table was for 6 diners and we were only 3. At this point my son started hitting himself in the head and crying. We left the establishment very quickly but spent 10 minutes outside while I tried to help my son out of his distress. My son said later on that the people sitting near him were making him uncomfortable and he never wants to go there again because the staff didn’t help him. I understand that ideally they wanted 6 diners at that table but there was none there when we were there and none waiting. Wouldn’t 3 diners have been better than none? Either way they have lost out custom as my son won’t go in again and it makes me question how inclusive they are for disabilities.

Our first visit to Leckenby's since March 2020. We had a lovely lunch, fresh salmon sandwich and side salad and a cheese and tomato toastie also with side salad. So enjoyable which made up for the frosty reception we received there.

First timer,this wasn't my first to Bury,but Leckenby's.I had brought my aunt & uncle over on a Wednesday market visit,when she suggested eating here,after making a phone call to see if we needed to make a booking,only three of us,we'd be ok.On arrival we saw a free table close to the entrance,no we couldn't use this,as reserved for wheelchair users (no one used) fair enough,another larger table,no we couldn't have that one either???, so a small round one we had to have (made do).Staff were friendly,as you'd expect & the place was busy,we took a look at the menu,even my uncle was a little taken aback by the prices,but auntie was paying.We opted for the english breakfast,a bacon & sausage on toast,along with a ham salad,two tea's & a coffee. As i say it was a little busy,so had to wait awhile,good size breakfast,great salad,my sandwich could have had a little more salad garnish,but three empty plates. My aunt paid,so i don't know how much the total was,but on our next shopping trip,we may call again or not?..

Went for lunch on Monday and would highly recommend. Great service from 2 lovely members of staff, the food was delicious and all Covid guidance followed. We will definitely be returning.
