Arrived at 2005 on a Sunday. Website advertised food served until 2030. The barman turned us away saying they'd already stopped serving food. If that's the case then you should update your website.

I usually have toast and cappucino whilst waiting for pottery class. Toast too expensive but cappucino lovely

A good place, the food is nice but could maybe do with a wider choice for brunch that don’t involve eggs (that could just be me though 😃)

We had googled where we would like to eat whilst visiting Ramsbottom as part of our day out and so glad we decided to eat here. We had our dog with us and ate in the bar area. Fantastic welcome and service, great menu choices and we all found something we liked. Food was faultless and my husband is a foodie and sometimes hard to please but he thought his was outstanding and “made with love”. Would definitely go again. Special thanks to the owner, still don’t know your name, sorry! Who went above above and beyond when our dog was taken ill, she drove my husband and Poppy back to where we were staying a few miles away and offered to drive them to the out of hours vets if needed. She was amazing and helped us out during a very stressful time ❤️ we are so grateful.

Just had Haddock chips and peas, it was delicious, in my opinion award winning. The young man who served us was very polite and friendly, it was our first time at this restaurant and we would definitely recommend, thank you.

I took my grandma for lunch at Owens today. We were greeted warmly as we entered the restaurant, and shown to our table by Oliver, who pointed out the specials board and offered us menus. Our drinks order was taken promptly and delivered promptly (1 hot pot of fresh tea served with a small cute glass bottle of milk, and a shortbread biscuit on the side, and a bottle of sparking water served with a glass of ice and slice of lemon) . Our food order was 2 x prawn sandwiches on white bread. The food was served fresh and beautifully presented. 4 triangles of stuffed, soft white bread sandwiches on each of our plates - the prawns were a good size, fresh, mixed in a light marie rose sauce, and generously portioned within each sandwich. Accompanying the sandwiches were a portion of chunky chips that were delicious, and a salad and coleslaw garnish. The meal was simple yet delicious and filling. Given the temperature of the day (an extremely warm 22°), the restaurant was very comfortable and cool. The service was warm, friendly and efficient, and the passion & pride that the owners/management have for this restaurant is evident in their presence and also in their staff, food and environment. We are very much looking forward to returning for dinner one evening soon, as the wider menu (beyond the sandwiches we chose for lunch) looked fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had breakfast on sunday makes a change to get 1st class service and very welcoming.Just wish i lived closer.

Lovely breakfast. Our dog came along with us and got a free side of sausage - a nice touch which he appreciated. Really relaxing atmosphere, no rushing about just nice friendly service in lovely surroundings.

Visited here for lunch after a 6 mile circular walk up to Peel Tower. The welcome was warm, the menu is extensive with smaller portions available for most entries. Definitely a spoilt for choice menu. There were 6 of us, we were all served at the same time, the service was very slick and the food quality whether a sandwich, light lunch or cooked meal. When we came to pay, paying individually for what we had had was no problem. We will definitely be back as a group and I suspect many of us back for a more formal meal. Very highly recommended.

I ordered the meaty platter. Very weird combination of salt and pepper chicken ( looked like it was out the freezer) some really tasteless sausages, a dry mini burger and some pate. Chips were decent, and pudding was nice. Reasonable price for disappointing food.

Went for sunday dinner. Absolutely perfect.

Early evening meal with my wife. Finding the way in was fun. It's on the supermarket side. Warmly welcomed on entry, and taken to our table. Fairly neutral decor. We arrived at 6:00pm and the place was half full. Mainly an older crowd, I'm 58 at the time of writing and was on the young side. Couple of big family groups with kids. Service was good, take a photo of the specials board when you come in...saves you walking about. Everything happened at a relaxed pace, we never felt hurried or ignored. The menu is really good. I'm diabetic so avoid carbs, chips, rice etc. So it was a fish starter and a fish main for me. My good lady had black pud starter and cheese pie main. Just lovely food with decent sized portions. Mains seemed to be around the £18+ side. Two courses each and two drinks and a coffee came to £80 Great value It was absolutely rammed to the rafters when we left about 20 past 7. Really pleased to find this place.

It's been far too long ! Eventually with eight friends we had the most delicious food for lunch yesterday. All the food was top notch 👌.... the service was second to none, and the price was reasonable. Big pat on the back to everyone involved and thank you 😊

First visit for dinner and we were very impressed. Great that they offer smaller portions for some of the mains as that means that we had room for starters. An early evening Friday visit so the atmosphere was subdued (not a bad thing as one ages). Food and service great.

Owen’s is a very good restaurant with good food and a nice menu. Cocktail and wine choices were fine. The atmosphere and seating were comfortable and the tables were not on top of each other which was a pleasant surprise. It was quiet enough to have a civilized conversation. Service was very good.

We went to a wine tasting evening hosted by The Vineyard and Owens. Really enjoyed the food and the wine.

First time here today and just Wow! Food was perfectly cooked and you can tell it's fresh the moment you see and taste it. It's worth the hour drive to get to! I will be back 😀

Traditional well presented. On arrival we were greeted and promptly shown to our table by young friendly and professional staff. Our friends arrived a couple of minutes later and our drinks order was promptly taken. We were given time to take in the menu and catch up before we ordered our food which was nice. I went traditional with liver, onions & bacon which I know isn't to everyones taste but was excellent, went for this as you don't often see it offered these days. The other selections by Sandra and our friends were also well presented and enjoyed. Good food, Good Drinks , Great Service.

We have been going to Owens for years and it has been consistently good

The food at Owens is always very good and was good this morning but unfortunately it was a dissapointing experience due to the fact that I booked by phone this morning sunday 12th May at around 9.30 for a booking for 10.45 for 2 people. Done this several times in the past always no prob. I recognised the person who took the call as we’ve been to Owens on Sundays mornings prob about 8 times in the last 8 months but this morning was different. When we got there we were told by the owner(female) there was no booking down for us . I reiterated I had booked by phone earlier my call being taken by young assistant working there. There was a very awkward silence making my husband and myself feeling uncomfortable. I am a woman’ Of mature years and I don’t go round making phantom restaurant bookings . I do expect my booking to be professionally handled when I contact the restaurant . It spoilt our breakfast and we won’t be returning . Such a shame because the food is always good .

A good old English dish of Lamb Shank spoilt by dressing the meagre portion of vegetables in a piece of bacon. The best lamb shank dishes include a selection of vegetables served on the side perhaps with small roast potatoes.which complement the meat.

This eatery gets a 10/10 from me. Visited at the weekend for a family birthday and did not disappoint. Great menu, lovely patron and staff and excellent chef. They even put Panna Cotta on the menu especially for me. I had the mushroom starter and sirloin steak main course, cooked to perfection. Finished with Panna cotta and grapefruit sorbet. Perfect from the moment we arrived until the minute we left. I highly recommend this restaurant.

On Friday 26th April, the family of Masterchef winner Tom Hamblet visited this little gem in the heart of Ramsbottom. From the initial arrival right through to the very end, it was such a special evening. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff and the standard of food was 5 star and we will be returning. For a table of 10, all having starters mains and deserts, the quality was exceptional, the food piping hot- all with the perfect timing in between courses. I will make mention, the father of masterchef winner who is also a 5 star executive chef quoted ‘this is the best fish I have ever had’. We even requested a special panna cotta desert for this special occasion (this was not on the menu) - and it’s the nicest desert we have ever had. Even having someone with an eating disorder in the family, nothing was ever too much trouble. The management and staff clearly have experience in this industry and we promise you won’t be disappointed in this restaurant. Thankyou to all the staff and chefs for this lovely evening. I have attached a picture of my Cod with Risotto main course special, as it was too good not to share .

We visited Owen’s for an evening meal on Friday 26 th April for a family occasion and could not fault the service and quality of the food . Amongst our party were the parents of this years Masterchef Champion who is himself executive chef at exclusive hotels , (south lodge ). Lewis Hamblet said the cod was the best he has had and he has eaten in a lot of Michelin restaurants as well as his own . The food was hot , freshly prepared and extremely well presented. We even asked for items that were not on the menu and there were no issues . I cannot rate this place enough. You are a constant in the topsy turvy world of ramsbottom restaurants and your standard has always remained the same.

Very nice cafe with amazing foods. Some Turkish dishes and traditional English menu, and burgers as well. Very nice and friendly peoples makes a fantastic atmosphere. I ordered Turkish breakfast and English full breakfast, the grill cheese in the turkish breakfast is amazing, very nice. Free parking outside the street, very convenient. Absolutely I will come again.

Perfect meal out with family. I had heard it was a lovely place, but it was more than lovely. We've never been looked after so well, and we couldn't fault the food. Best meal out in months.

What a great discovery! Found it by googling for good vegan options in the area, and both vegan and omnivores in the group were delighted. The vegan selection was excellent, as was the main menu. Lovely staff, who judged perfectly the fine line between attentiveness and leaving us in peace, squeezed us in as a walk-in but made us feel as welcome as regulars. The food was amazing - imaginative, fresh, tasty, piping hot, and beautifully presented. The tempura vegetables, the spinach and mushroom pancake, and the vegetable stroganoff were particularly dreamy, and the tempura banana dessert was incredible. Sadly not close enough to home to be a regular event, but we will definitely be finding an excuse to come back before too long.

We have been going to Owens for years, since it opened! We have celebrated lots of events here...Birthday's, Wedding anniversaries, exam results, Christmas Days and many more. We have never had a bad meal! Owens is always reliable! Always open and the team are amazing - remembering how I like my coffee, asking how the family is, the good old fashioned service and for that we love going back time and time again. My Favourite place!

Been a few times, this time birthday lunch. Great service and staff and food lovely. We had fish as we don't eat meat, but saw Sunday lunches being served and they looked really good.

First time user called on Wednesday the 20th march for lunch They do a menu 3 courses for £20 which looking at it was superb value for money There was four of us and we all chose off the main menu which was brilliant All food came hot and very tasty the surroundings were really nice ,inviting and comfortable The staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble and they never rushed you and were really polite Even though you rarely see the kitchen staff I would like to say a special thanks for the exceptional meal that we had Will definitely call again and have recommended Owens to quite a few friends and family ❤️👍🏽

The food was great, a nice tidy space with a good view of the railway station. The staff were attentive and friendly. However, the only downside was that when I ordered a glass of water at my table I was told to go up and help myself. I don’t think in a restaurant I should have to go up and get a drink myself at the dispenser. If it wasn’t for that, it would have been a five star review.

Best Yorkshire puddings outside of Yorkshire… And thats from a Yorkshireman! Lovely meal with the wife with great views over the railway station if you’re a train spotter like myself.

Not our first visit but our lastbased on the food this visit. Started with the fried mushrooms taste was ok but not too many mushrooms padded out with too much bread. The main was Pan fried chicken strips. Unfortunately the cook had not read the menu and the chicken was in chunks rather than strips! The food was served warm and was sent back to the kitchen and returned hot. Disappointing.

No secret that my wife and I are fans of this excellent restaurant, however this is the first year that we've been able to plan enough in advance to book Xmas Dinner. Sadly, our party of four had reduced to three due to illness but we were really looking forward to our meal. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting great things as, based on past experience at various establishments, staffing issues at Xmas and the pressure of getting enough hot food out as ordered usually proves problematic. I needn't have worried.....this was Owens after all. We arrived early but this wasn't an issue, a lovely welcome and we were shown to our table and served with a glass of fizz. Drinks orders were taken, then our starters arrived. The French onion soup, seafood medley and arancini were all really nice with a special mention for the arancini and the soup. And the seafood.... Mains were as ordered, food piping hot, fresh and beautifully presented. Both the turkey and the steak medallion choices were a big hit with plentiful accompaniments. Desserts were again beautifully presented and excellent - we had all opted for the sticky toffee pudding which never disappoints. The meal was relaxing and unhurried and the atmosphere was really nice and festive, thoughtful little touches such as chocolates on the tables and chocolate Santas for the children added to the sense of occasion. Staff - as is the norm - were great, very attentive and chatty and did a superb job. We never fail to notice that Carl and Jane have a very loyal team and it's always nice to see familiar faces. Speaks volumes these days. As for our absent family member - I was really impressed that, at such a busy time, the spare meal was carefully put into separate plastic containers and given to us to take away. Needless to say we will have to pay a return visit in order to book for next year - sincere appreciation to Carl, Jane and all the team for a first class meal and festive experience.

We've been to Owen's many times as a couple and with family. Last night we took a friend as they were stopping for the weekend. As always the service was lovely, we never have a problem and we really enjoy it here. We sat upstairs which was nice, it had a nice atmosphere as it was busy. For food, we all ordered starters, my Wife got the bread and hummus. Me and our friend ordered off the specials board and got the chicken and ham Pancake. We weren't impressed. The texture was a little gloopy and you could tell they've used leftover chicken. The parts that were crispy were nice and the hard melted cheese helped. For mains, my Wife ordered off the specials board and got the lamb and layered potatoes which was absolutely delicious. Our friend ordered the lamb off the main menu which again was absolutely delicious and fell off the bone. I, however, didn't enjoy mine. I ordered the Cajun beef pasta off the specials board. There was no warning that it was spicy and the wait staff didn't explain. Cajun is different everywhere you go and spice levels change depending on how much cayenne pepper is added. It was 'nice' but not enjoyable as it was that hot my eyes were watering. We then got desserts, for me, mainly to end on a high. My wife just got the ice cream and me and my friend ordered the chefs special selection for two which was actually amazing. Sticky toffee pudding, chocolate cake, ice cream, creme brulee and the highlight was the cheesecake.

Situated opposite the railway Station on a corner. Everything was "nice", the deco, the staff, the food but nothing exceptional. I was disappointed, especially as I ordered a vegetarian mushroom dish which had bacon strips ontop! I had informed the waiter that I was a vegetarian so he should have made a note and informed the chef. They did apologise and offered me a free drink, which I appreciate, but staff need to be more careful. I was also disappointed with the choice of vegetarian main courses, only 2, the obligated cheese and onion pie or risotto. As I didn't fancy either I had 2 starters. I did ask if they could give me a starter as a main course, a spinach and mushroom pancake, but all they could suggest was order some chips etc. with it. Why couldn't they have put it on a bigger plate and added vegetables and chips or potatoes etc. My friend has just told me that she left most of her chicken flatbread starter as the meat was pink inside. They appear old fashioned in approach, they need to get more flexible and offer more choices for vegans and vegetarians. We also asked for water and was told, very sternly, to get our own from "over there ", which turned out to be a dispenser on a window sill. I just looked at the menu again and noticed a separate vegan and vegetarian section! Why didn't the waiter mention this when I told him I was vegetarian?

We didn’t book and were concerned we wouldn’t be able to get in as it was very busy. However, the staff were great and quickly found us a table. The food is consistently good and we thoroughly enjoyed the starter and main (too full for a dessert !) We have always found the staff to be very friendly and polite.

We had a really nice experience at Owens and couldn't have been more pleased. The service was exceptional with smiles all round. The menu choice was extensive and the food itself of fabulous quality served hot. My wife and I shared a sweet platter that was delicious and memorable. I couldn't recommend the place more highly! Been a few times for evening meals which were lovely and more recently for breakfast. I’ve been with friend groups as well as family and as a couple. I had the eggs and my husband the full breakfast with a latte and cappuccino. All was lovely presented and hot. The eggs were cooked perfectly with choice of toast and the breakfast filling and well thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. We were a walk in for breakfast with people coming and going whilst we were there with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff are attentive but not pushy. A great place to spend as a couple , family or with friends.

Friends had the Sunday roast deal and raved about it. I chose just to have a small starter as my main meal. Smoked salmon and prawn cocktail fish - it was lovely. Excellent staff and customer service.

Table booked 20.00hrs . Bottle of bubbles ordered. Lamb fillet chips and lamb fillet with mash ordered. 10 /10 to the Chefs fantastic meal . Fantastic restaurant and service from all . Phil top fella 👍 .

We always come here when we have a family get together, the food is always good and the service likewise. My dad takes quite a bit of time to order but the staff are patient and treat him with both dignity and respect - or to put it another way, how they would like themselves or their family members to be treated, how busy the restaurant is makes no difference to the level of service received, it's always excellent.

We came here for a family Christmas meal. Service was good, with friendly and accommodating staff. Food was excellent and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere.

We arrived at Owens restaurant on the 19th December at midday. Was greeted by a lovely man very friendly. We was taken to our table upstairs upstairs was very nice and clean. Lovely deco. We was served my a lovely lady for our drinks. Followed my a young guy who took our order. We went with fish and chips and one meat pie. Really delicious and good presentation. We was not rushed in-between courses. Our desert was sticky toffee putting (10out of 10) 2 hours later we asked for the bill Feeling full and happy. I would highly recommend this restaurant definitely coming back. Thanks Owens restaurant for a lovely afternoon ❤️

We went to try the Christmas menu last Weds night and even though we hadn't booked they managed to serve it up for us. 3 courses for £25. Absolutbeautiful food. We have been visiting Owens ever since they opened all those years ago, and it never disappoints. Lovely staff.
