The best restaurants in North West

Here we found the best coffee on the Cumbrian coast, in a cosy and quirkily decorated cafe. It seemed to be frequented by all age groups, too, so no-one would feel out of place.

Second visit recently and both have been really good. Gorgeous home made food and amazing cakes. Staff are lovely and helpful. After lunch we had to buy some more cakes to take away for the family. Will be back soon

Had lunch with family and 2 small children 6 of us in total we were made to feel very welcome and the food was amazing nothing was too much trouble we will be going back

We chose this venue because it was roughly equidistant between our home and our friends’ home and what a good choice . The food was excellent and the staff were really lovely. One of our company was in a wheelchair and they made every effort to make things easy . I would definitely recommend the lasagne and, unlike in making places , the chips were really tasty.

For no special reason my wife bought a pack of Low Howgill Cross Fell sausage at the Keswick outdoor market. When we arrived home the sausage went into the freezer. Some weeks later we had this thin link sausage for our evening meal. It was 'absolutely delicious'. We are off to Keswick shortly and a must stop-off on our way home will be Low Howgill Butchers for more Cross Fell sausage and whatever else takes our fancy.

No matter how amazing a business is, you need great customer service skills or else you won’t go back. You can be the greatest chef in the world, but if you’re rude no one will go back. The greatest hairdresser, but if you’re rude the same approach applies. Anyway, my point is, is that the gentleman who works here is absolutely AMAZING. I am sure everyone other employee is too. This is my second review here and I am amazed at how kind and warming he is. Honestly, his genuine kindness was a dominating reason for me writing this review. I also ordered a vegan chocolate Orange chocolate log which was extremely delicious and a lovely hot chocolate.

Fabulous full English breakfast. Quality ingredients beautifully cooked. The service,ambiance and lovely crockery is second to none. Can’t wait to come back.

Extortionate amount of time to wait, poor service, no apologies! Won't be using again.... Staff taking far too long making drinks, new staff? Inexperienced staff? What a shambles

If you fancy a chicken burger I 100% recommend, best burger I’ve had in ages, will definitely be going again, and lovely staff so easy to get along with

Mid morning coffee and green tea. Fast courteous service. The cafe is clean, light and airy. Only a few tables but well spread out so you have a lot of room.

Ordered from here a few times now. Everything we’ve had has been delicious! Always tastes fresh and hot. Highly recommended.

Just had my first gluten free chippy tea in 16 weeks. Best gluten free fish around.Was nervous about going but social distancing is all good and only 2 people allowed in shop Excellent service and friendly staff Thanks Jackie

If you want good honest food at a reasonable price then this is it! Service great, food even better. Can't beat the brekkies-sausages are delish!
