My twin brother and I were pub hopping around the Cavern Quarter when we decided to drop into Scruffy Murphy's, been here before on many occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this pub, interior is superb, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport, pool table and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, it just a great pub to unwind in. We got here as the pub opened for the day around about midday, as happy hour runs from midday till 6pm from Monday to Friday & Sunday we studied their happy hour drinks menu which is really good, in the end we opted to have a Carling Brewery lager ,at £2.50p a pint great value for money, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our beers. My lager was really good, a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste, its not my usual tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but I must say this lager was just so thirst quenching. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Scruffy Murphy's we had a great time. Scruffy Murphy's is easy to locate along Rainford Gardens just off Mathew Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, midday till 2am. Well worth checking out if you're in the Cavern Quarter of Liverpool.

5 out of 5 experience for value and friendliness. Bar staff are very accommodating and efficient and fellow drinkers also very friendly. Went I. At happy hour and couldn’t believe got 9 drinks for less that 23 pounds! This is unheard of in Ireland and everyone was impressed. Played pool and ordered some great food from the bar which was restaurant style despite coming as a takeaway from over the road. Food was 5 star, drinks 5 star and staff brilliant. Great advert for a pub.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub and bar hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into Scruffy Murphy's in the Cavern Quarter, there's another outlet down Harrington Street I believe ,this pub is really good, a cellar style pub ,wonderful decor and furnishings, exposed brickwork, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, pub was busy with a great atmosphere, we got pints of guinness,we got here on the happy hour, midday till 6pm Monday to Friday, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. A big fan of a guinness, when it served freezing cold, when it's thick and creamy its such a delicious drink indeed. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and for a first time visit to this Scruffy Murphy's we had a great time. Scruffy Murphy's is easy to locate along Rainford Gardens. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, midday till 2am. Happy hour is Monday to Friday midday till 6 and Sunday midday till 2pm.

Fabulous lunch yet again. Every single dish is made fresh so your meal may take a little longer but well worth the wait. When in the city this will always be my choice for breakfast or lunch! Thank you .

Time and time again the quality here is amazing and so too is the very friendly service. You have to order the mo mo platter for as an appetiser to share, which are simply outstanding - have not tasted any better and have travelled extensively. The staff are so lovely that they will alter the spiciness of your curries - I had ‘hot hot’ and it was spot on! Try the pickled radishes, mula ko aachar, which give a fantastic contrast to the curry. Just love this place

We came to the restaurant Friday 20th and wow!!! The whole experience was amazing. The food is best me and my husband have ever tasted. The place was very busy but the two front of house were so professional and attentive to all the customers. Cant wait to go again before the end of our holiday. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic Indian food
