The best restaurants serving British food in Cheshire East North West

Great Staff! Food on mussels night was very good, loved the local beer also. Accommadation, large comfy bed. Room had lots of nice touches like free sweets. Coffe, tea and biscuits. Shower was low flow and due to street noise its worth taking ear plugs. I personally slept well. Its a pub stay in a very old building so you have to expect this sort of thing. I would shay there again.

I loved the pub and the atmosphere. I'd not been there before. It is a huge pub on three levels and the staff are helpful and friendly and they make you feel like they want to be there. Which, sadly is unusual. I recommend it and look forward to going there again.

Had one of the best meals for a long time. We had the squid to start amazing and then probably the best roast in cheshire

Great beers on tap. The food was wonderful, service excellent. A nice relaxed place to eat. Music volume level just right, a pleasant place to be.

Staff very attentive and excellent, especially Yasmin, but food ok and massive prices, wine £35 for a bottle of house wine! Lovely restaurant, even with the rowdy group of women on a hen do or similar

Went for afternoon tea yesterday. The venue and it's surroundings were beautiful. There was no disabled parking with a fairly long walk uphill. The room itself was quite dark and the table was just brown wood with no table linen. The food was just ok and I wouldn't go again to be honest. Having said that the staff were lovely.

La noche que estuvimos allí, no estaba lleno, pero aún así tuvimos que esperar 50 minutos para la entrega de nuestra entrada (no eran platos complicados). Maître es muy buena, pero el resto del personal se necesita un poco de entrenamiento en finura. La comida estaba bien. No te molestes en vestirse como había varias personas en el restaurante en pantalones cortos y camisetas

Amazing meal and going there brought back many memories of my teens when we all went there.

We called in here just by chance having visited two previous pubs looking for a nice place to eat. We had a lovely welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the general ambiance. Would thoroughly recommend and will be back.

My friend and I met here regularly for lunch. Today we took advantage of the 40% off mains promotion offer which was very welcome. Or waiter today was called Will. He was charming and most helpful.
