Incredible food as always! Great portions and great value! We got the Gyros which is a recent addition to the menus in the last year, battered sausage , fritters, large chips and a pot of gravy. Only have a picture of mine i’m afraid 🤣 Other half had the battered chips and most of the gravy Will always come back ❤️

Lunch time visit. The chips from here are great - and huge portions. First time trying them as was in the area. Will definitely try again. Totally recommend

First and last visit. Fish, tasteless and the batter soggy. Chips soggy. Certainly not cooked to order. Tipped most of it in the bin. Mushy peas were good.

Everytime we have been here the chips have either been greasy, raw or all mushed up. We’ve been lots of times thinking it can’t be as bad as last time but it is!

Order was all wrong when we got home... items missing and unrequested items put in! Fish was well done and tasted as if it had been reheated.....and the batter was very thick and consequently soggy inside. Absolutely used to love this chip shop when it first arrived in West Heath but I don't know what has happened to the quality of cooking! Was only fit for the bin tonight! Waste of money!

I have been using this chippy since Mario & Christina opened but it has definitely declined.We have the same family order every Friday evening but recently we have had the order wrong when we got home with items missing then on a separate occasion kebabs that were cold and vey small portions. This is such a shame and posted with a sad heart because Mario and Christina are wonderful people

Always enjoy my fish and chips here, though not always sure what fish I am getting. The food is good service is good.

Food lovely, problem with the presentation wrapped in paper & squashed !! not nice to have food like that, WHY can’t they present on a tray !!!

This is our favourite fish bar! Always delicious. Often such large portions that we share with neighbours. Efficient Click&Collect service - completely safe.

Shocking value. £5.90 for what is pictured. Shall venture into town from now on. Nothing more to say

Although I eat a reasonable amount of take aways I always regard a trip to the chippy as a bit of a treat. I don't like to be let down for something I'm looking forward to and Mario's has never disappointed. A small portion of chips is huge, always cooked perfectly and enough for two! I dread to think what a large portion is like, is it a carrier bag full? Also the mixed meat box is huge and all 3 meats are super tasty.

Always great fish, scampi and chicken and very generous portions. Charming friendly staff and spotless premises.

No complaints at all, here. Huge portions, not expensive, and excellent service. There’s a fair selection of items, from fish to burgers and kebabs, and the chips are lovely.

This is the best fish and chips in the area. Generous portions and great quality. The cod is delicious and huge. The staff are friendly and efficient and they keep the place nice and clean. We ordered on the phone and the food was just being packaged up as we arrived. They kept the salad separate which was thoughtful. Had many a lunchtime meal and will certainly going back.

I use this maybe once a month but am never dissapointed,great staff great food, not cheap but still represents good value.If you have a large fish be warned it probably would feed the five thousand. I have had the kebabs very occassionally they are huge did'nt need any chips with it. Overall bless the day this opened.

So much choice from kebab meat, pies, sausages and of course the glorious fish and chips!! So much food!! Would recommend sharing the chips as the portion size is great for the money! Lovely staff and clean and modern! Would recommend!

Such a disappointment, the chips are always soggy and stuck together but it’s the nearest chippy so I kept going back but two times now they’ve been cold. First time I thought it was a one off but obviously not. Perhaps if they concentrated on quality not quantity it would improve!

Been coming here since they opened last summer, we have never had anything but great food, whether it be the usual chippy type food or the gorgeous kebabs. The portion sizes are huge, and the staff are always friendly. I can only assume that the two bad reviews on here are another local chip shops attempt to keep people away from Mario's. The prices are not expensive, at worst they're average, but the value for money when the quality of the food and portion sizes are taken into account are second to none. By far the best chippy in Congleton!

This is by a country mile the best chip shop in the area....having come from Stockport 10 years ago where we had an abundance of quality Fish and chip shops. Congleton until Mario’s arrived didn’t have one, not one. Absolutely terrible, I kid you not..I stopped eating fish and chipsValue for money, tasty, generous portions, consistently to a high standard Marios deliver, add in pleasant staff, makes this chippy a welcome addition to Congleton.

I must of come on a bad day just had my first visit and the chips were so greasy and soggy! All the paper stuck all over the chips and I started to eat them in the car as soon as I got them! I'll stick to hightown chippy!
