Excellent food, service and furnishings. Great price too

Called in here with a friend ..good local boozer, classic sort of layout. People and staff were pleasant enough. Beer was standard but well kept. There was a group in from a barge trip, it was quite lively but still friendly. We didn't eat here.

Had a great 2 hours in the LC tonight, lovely atmosphere, very busy, the food was delicious, had a small issue with one of the mains but the way Claire sorted it was spot on. Real Ale and red wine were perfect. Looking forward to more Fridays hopefully.

Had Brunch today with family and friends, 12 of us in total. Great atmosphere and lovely food. The staff were excellent ensuring we had everything we needed. Would certainly recommend a visit.

We had a table booked for Saturday night quiz night. Arrived earlier as we wanted to order food before the quiz started. I had the Pulled pork Pie with chips and veg. Had the salt & Peper chicken to start. Very impressed with the food , the staff and location. We were moored close by and visited with our boating friends. Will definitely recommend this pub to friends who maybe passing by or mooring up in there boats. Thank you to everybody for the service and all the fun of the quiz and play your cards right ! 😂.

Disappointed that I have only just discovered the accomodation at The Wheatsheaf! Calm, tranquil oasis of luxury in a busy but small village. The rooms are sensational. Decor is delightful. Everything about our stay here was 5*PLUS. Looking for an excuse to come back.

Wonderful evening meal superb service good varied menu. The service was fast and the waitress very attentive Piping hot food generous portions and very flavoursome. Beer well kept

Drove past with my girlfriend and we thought it looked like a nice place so turned around and popped in. Its very warm and welcoming with very friendly staff. Was intrigued by the specials board and so we both decided we would have some food as well as a drink. I have to say the food was definitely up there with the best we have had while dinning together. We will 100 percent be back soon such a hidden gem. Unfortunately we didnt take any photos of the food as was to busy enjoying every mouthful.

All look ways ridiculously late when ordering delivery, no matter what day or time I find myself chasing the order after 70 minutes. I wouldn’t mind but I only live a mile away. Waiting nearly two hours isn’t acceptable when they say it will be an hour.

Over 1 hr to wait for food which eventually turned up after one of our group complained about the wait. The first meals out were 75% eaten by the time the last meal appeared. Queue for drinks was to the top of the stairs. This is the second consecutive time we've seen such poor service and setup in the last 2 months. Clearly understaffed. Won't be risking going for food here again I'm afraid until there is a change of management.

Excellent customer service, felt really welcome . Very helpful. First time coming here. Would definitely come again. Gavin was very friendly,informative, welcoming. Sat in a quiet cosy area. Couldn't have helped enough. Thank you. Food was well presented and very nice ,quick service served by Ian the Chef.

Great food and warm atmosphere. There were 8 of us, we spent quite a lot and left a good tip so was a little disappointed at being asked to move to the bar. Didn't realise we only had a certain allotted time at the table to eat 3 courses and have drinks. Nowhere to sit at the bar so had to just leave our drinks and go.

Lovely pub, fresh log fires burning. Really accommodating staff. Had two little children and some members who had dietary requirements that they dealt with easily. Prompt service and tasty food. Well priced. Thankyou!

Coffee is great Staff are always great But today the toilets are disgustingly dirty. Not always like this but please get it right for all your customers. Disgraceful.
