The New Coach & Four Wilmslow Lodge in Cheshire East

We have been to The Coach and Four on a few occasions and stayed in the lodge next door when visiting family in Wilmslow. The experience has always been very good. A nice wide selection of beers and wines and excellent food.

Dropped into the Coach and Four with the family as we do most Sundays. I can’t fault this place , as every time we have been the food has not only been top notch , but the service and atmosphere are definitely the best in Wilmslow. Too many of the other pubs in the town think they don’t have to try hard , but the Coach and Four always go the extra mile.

I had the bacon steak and it was excellent My wife had the steak sarnie and it too was tasty and well prepared Our friends enjoyed their meals as well Top service from a welcoming team We used to go there often as we lived nearby 5 years ago and if anything it has improved from our experience Good selection of ales and ciders as well Recommend it for a lunch outing

I don’t usually leave a review of places but after reading a few negative reviews I felt that I needed to! Me and my family went here for Sunday lunch there were 8 of us in total. The food was amazing the staff were really helpful and friendly we will definitely be going again thanks guys 👌🏼

My husband and I were looking forward to a Sunday roast. The ham and Turkey duo roast was so disappointing. It honestly came out 1 minute after we ordered it, the one thin piece of ham was super dry and shrivelled and the rest of the meal was barely warm. What a complete waste of money! Whoever produced that food should be ashamed to be a chef. Have some pride in what you do please!!

Very lovely and welcoming hotel and restaurant. Service was wonderful as was the food and the room. Will definitely return on our next visit to Manchester

I am so sorry to have to do a negative review, but it wouldn’t be fair to write an untruthful one. Our first time here, we had to ask for menus. Wasn’t clear whether it was just sit where you wanted or they seated you. We pick where we want to sit, fair enough. No numbers on tables so again, wasn’t clear if it was table service or order at bar. Saw no signage either way. We ordered at bar, and honestly if we waited for table service we’d probably would still be there next week waiting to be served. Half hour waited for starter. When it arrived it was nice. Although the ‘coriander and lime dipping sauce’ was just mayonnaise. The starter was the only nice food we had. The main, one of us had the honey glazed bacon steak. Which was salty. The steak pie the other of us had, was an unpleasant gloopy beef stew with a greasy pastry lid. Not a pie. The chips were leftovers from the previous shift refried. Would’ve asked for a refund but at no point, were we asked if everything ok and we would probably still be waiting for a refund. There was a table other side of the section to where we were, was an empty glass. We got at pub 1.30 when we left at 3.15 it was still there. Sadly the conversations staff were having with each other at the bar was more important to them. I could understand slow service if they were busy. But they were barely a 1/4 full. We came here based on reviews and our experience were very subpar

Absolutely beautiful hotel, bar and restaurant. Service in restaurant first class. Well priced and lots of choice. Have to give a Blue Peter Star to Lucy. She is a credit to your business. Should we find ourselves in the area again this would be out first choice.

Lovely dining area in the room with skylight, partial outdoor seating. Food was good and server very polite and helpful.

We popped into the coach and four on our way home from the airport. Food was tasty and high quality. We were served by Fin who was great, super friendly and attentive.

From booking online, to turning up, ordering,service, staff, all was excellent. As in the words of our lovely waiter,"lovely jubbly" 😃

Enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch here today with one of my dearest friends. Everything was lovely, all of the courses were served promptly and tasted amazing. The staff were very pleasant and left us in peace to chat for many hours, after we'd finished eating. Will definitely return. Thank you.

A group of us went for a meal at the Coach and Four and enoyued it very much . We had a few starters to share and a main course each. The game pie in particular was excellent. The only reason for not giving it an "excellent" rating was that we had to wait a long time between the two courses. I was good to see that the pub was busy on a Thursday evening. Perhaps that is why the wait was longer than it should have been. It won't stop us going back, though.

We came for Mothering Sunday lunch and it was the first time we had been here. The team were very friendly and the service was great. Lian was very cheerful and happy to help.

We decided to come here as we couldn’t decide on a few places to go but Coach & Four won. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal from there and that continues. Our Waiter (sorry Dint know his name. Young lad) who served us an remembered us from last time. We must of made a good impression on him 😂

The venue had been booked for our extended family of 36 of us to celebrate my dad's 80th birthday. The ages of the group varied from a few months to the birthday boy himself and we were very loud and excitable after spending the afternoon at a show. Lian was given the 'joy' of hosting the evening for us and she was absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for her - from people who requested changes to their choices, to extra portions and fussy eaters. She organised the surprise cake and candles and was just amazing at keeping the evening running smoothly while always smiling and having a joke with us all. We've eaten at the Coach and Four many times and the food is always great and the fact that there were so many of us did not impact on the quality of food or the service we received. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.

I cannot recommend this place enough for holding a function. Apart from an ideal town location....... nothing is too much trouble. Carly, Simon, Gavin. Leanne, Lauren, Claire, Tony and a few others were hard-working, extremely patient, friendly, totally accommodating every request, thoughtful and many other positive adjectives!!! The first floor function room (no lift) is ideal for a party of 50 to 60 if you want a dance floor. We had 70 which was a bit tight but did result in guests talking to new people that, in a large room, would never have happened. There is an outside terrace with fairy lights which is great for cooling down on. There is a wall heater for colder weather. There's a sound system available and a large wall-hung TV screen for photos etc. The food is superb especially the cod or chicken gougons. The accommodation in the Lodge is outstanding with large beds, comfortable mattresses and pillows and for a reasonable rate includes a good breakfast menu. Thank you to all the staff. I can't wait for another excuse for a party!

We had a brilliant day at the Coach and Four for lunch just before Christmas. The food was fantastic, the service from Lian was brilliant and it was overall a great atmosphere!

We had a party of 13 at the Coach and Four for New Year’s Eve and had a fabulous night. We all had the three course set menu which was absolutely beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and served quickly and efficiently. 5 stars all round from our group. We complimented the Chef Tony. We will definitely be returning again. The live music was fabulous and Gavin was a brilliant host as always making sure eveyone was enjoying the night.

Went here for New Years Eve dinner. This was our 4th time on NYE. We were not disappointed. Tony the head chef served up a delicious 3 course meal including melt in the mouth fillet steak.. unreal! Presentation of the food was so appetising, the 8 of us finished everything. Gavin was a superb host and really could not do enough for us. Could not recommend the Coach and Four high enough! We had a fantastic evening.

I feel compelled to write a review of myself and my family’s experience on New Years Eve at the Coach and Four. It was HANDS DOWN the best New Year event I have been to. The staff here are without doubt the best in Cheshire, with Gavin being the most welcoming host and always accommodating. The entertainment and atmosphere was excellent , and I must pay special compliments to the food - WOW. Tony and his team outdid themselves, with our table of 12 guests throughly enjoying a delicious 3 course menu , that was presented like a fine dining restaurant. We are all still talking about what a great night we had in such a brilliant pub and restaurant!!!

We have eaten here a few times now, & food is always amazing, Especially the Sunday roast platter for 2 :) Service is always great.
