The staff at the pub were lovely. We took our granddaughters 1yr and 3 yrs and Rowan was fantastic as the youngest is dairy intolerant. She asked all the appropriate questions and reassured us that the meal we had chosen was dairy free. Good choice for kids menu and very reasonable. Lots of space, food good. We will be back.

Crowded, loud, average food, but also above average expensive compared to normal “good” local ones. Everyone was friendly. There is no complaint about that. You stop briefly at the entrance and are assigned a space for the number of people. It's extremely cramped, with hardly any room for the person sitting next to you at the back. The two of us had a table for four. Putting your jacket over the chair was quite a challenge so as not to disturb the person behind you. Starting it would have been too warm. We were informed that we had to order at the counter and collect the food/drink. OK. Got up again and followed instructions. Soft fries with a breaded fish or a piece of breaded chicken on top - where the breaded part clearly towered over the contents. During the meal, the table for 4 was suddenly separated and moved 1.5 cm so that there was room for 2 more. Even the 1.5 cm was no longer possible to be able to eat properly in the already narrow space. We escaped - luckily the drinks were cans and could be taken with us. We chalk it up as a tourist trap. Went today to Costa for an iced whipped latte which was not whipped. The atmosphere is horrendous, there’s litter everywhere which is embarrassing and atrocious.

This place is so great!! We just went for a drink in the afternoon and the food looked great so decided to stay!! There is a great patio outdoors right in the sun! The food was great, the drinks were cold, but most of all the staff were awesome! So super friendly!! Definitely coming again!!!

We had an amazing time at the pub, especially as it was my wife’s first visit and similarly our youngest grandson (17) and his girlfriend (18) The purpose of our visit was to have a pre celebration of our grandson’s birthday, as he would be celebrating his 18 on 15th October. The staff made us feel very welcome from the moment that we entered the pub, as they were so friendly and polite. We had some soft drinks with our food, which consisted of 1 Haddock Goujons and 3 Smash Burgers. The quality of the food was excellent and we strongly recommend the choices that we made. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We reserved a table for three people at 4.00pm. Upon arrival we waited to be told which was our table. Having been ignored for a while, we were told to take any table "out there". Having seated ourselves, my friend was told to move as it was a reserved table. She declined and explained we had a reservation and had been told to take any table. I then ordered two pints of shandy - they were poured as half lemonade and half lager. Promptly charged for two pints of Hells Lager. When I queried the £14 I was told not to ask him about the price with a shrug of the shoulders. Huge queues for the toilets which were very unclean. There used to be more toilets downstairs but these were closed off. Have to say a really underwhelming experience service wise and come away feeling fleeced. The whole place felt tired, unloved and with an air of disinterested weariness from the staff. Never met a seven quid shandy before and won't be hurrying back.

Each time we visit Enfield we make sure to visit The King and Tinker. It is a charming pub, full of history, and there has been an ale house there for more than 1000 years. It has real olde world pub charm and a wonderfully cosy feel. My absolute favourite on the menu is the lamb shank - beautifully cooked and extremely reasonably priced. The steak pie is a favourite of my husband's and never disappoints. We were hosted by Toni - a lovely lady with extensive knowledge of the pub trade and with a friendly and warm personality. Definitely try it if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!
