I don’t even like darts, I like it even less after playing it at this place. Barmen was rude and started shouting at the only paying customers in the place. No food on offer, as the competent and friendly chef has rightly left. The pub also supported our local club Bromley, but has since shunned this history, good business sense now we’ve been promoted to League 2. Did I mention the lack of atmosphere? Think the only person still drinking in there is the GrumpyB. Don’t bother visiting until a change in attitude from the staff. Used to be decent.

Been coming to this boozer once a week with a big group for the last 6 months for our darts league on most occasions the watering hole was empty so you would think they would appreciate 10 blokes having 5 6 pints each but no the barman who only started a few months ago decided to shout at us after one of the lads reeled in the big fish and celebrated we told him we won't ever be coming back and will take our darts league elsewhere keep pouring those flat spitfires grumpy chops

Try having to put up with your shabby standards of darts every Thursday night, Stevie Wonder has a better average than the lot of you combined. Reeling in the big fish, don’t make me choke on my Spitfire. Your pal hit double 1 after 20 minutes of trying and celebrated by taking his top off and running around the bar doing the Ronaldo siuuu celebration, during open mic night. You won’t be missed, half of you are on the waters all evening anyway, besides we don’t show the nonsense conference in our establishment. Good luck with the darts lads, we might see you playing in the BDO one day.

No one in the pub, hit a double playing darts and celebrate and get told to keep the noise down, bar man must think he's running a library, over priced beers and moody staff, please avoid! Will be closed in a few month.

New people now running the club and very welcoming. Rachel said that the live music would be every 2 weeks instead of monthly for open Mike and that al lot of live bands are booked to appear. Next on on 22nd March The Jamd tribute band. Give this venue a try.

Outstanding pub, the new management Hannah and Will (photographed) have made some great improvements here. I visited yesterday, the first time for a while. The table I usually had now has two very comfortable leather armchairs which were shining with leather polish! Elsewhere the tables were all shining clean. There is a new menu. I had the steak and Bishops Finger ale pie made with plenty of lean steak and baby onions. (Photographed) Bishops Finger is a winter warmer ale from Shepherd and Neame (Faversham) and this is one of their pubs. The pie was served up very hot with slightly pickled red cabbage, delicious mashed potatoes and gravy. There was so much veg you certainly do not need sides with that dish The decor in the pub was very autumnal, very tasteful - especially around the fireplace and elsewhere. The staff were all so friendly. I felt they were genuinely keen to make sure I enjoyed myself and that I had all I need. A friend arrived later to meet me for the football which was on plenty of screens. I drank mostly the Red ale and my friend had Masterbrew. Both were very fresh and highly pleasant to the taste. I will be back soon.

Visited with friends before a football match, ordered food 12:40, no sign of it at 1:40, complained, my meal came out 5 mins later, fries were Luke warm, burger the same, after paying £13.50 for ! Friends ham egg and chips arrived 1:55, eggs overdone, chips overdone, other friends got a refund as we couldn’t wait any longer ! Yes it was busy but they should of warned us how long we would be waiting, hardly seen any food being served in the hour we were waiting. The lady serving it up said she was going as fast as she could bit couldn’t do everything. Thought food was overpriced and not great either, shame as it could be a good pub.

I love this pub and the staff are superb. Similarly the beer is excellent. It's just a shame they changed the menu upon reopening after covid because the new one lacks variety and is very poor value for money.

Since the change of menu (which I have to say looked really exciting on paper) I have eaten twice at the Bricklayers and have been disappointed on both occasions. This is the pub that I used to tell all my friends and family about the fantastic quality of food we ate there, well not any more. It’s certainly not value for money with the cost of a burger not even including chips! Even the mucky chips are just that! A small plate of skinny fries leaving you wondering if they’d dropped half of them on the way to you and not delivering what you are promised. I love this pub, the staff and the atmosphere so please go back to the old menu or another menu or at least adjust your prices to suit what you’re delivering and stop trying to cut corners for possible loss of revenue during Covid because that’s what it appears that your are doing.

I had exactly the same experience as Dansw13 a very strange member of bar staff accusing me of taking DRUGS in the toilet. I know I look young for my age but Im a 78 year old pensioner and a ex police officer, I can safely say ive never taken drugs in my life and to be accused of such things is shocking,I think the management of this public house need to look at there staff recruitment process as the gentleman who accused me looked like he was on drugs himself.David

I recently visited the Bricklayers Arms with my partner for a few drinks on Friday evening. Unfortunately I had to visit the toilet 10 minutes before closing time as nature called. As I exited the cubicle, a member of the bar staff confronted me in the toilet area accusing me of taking drugs. I explained I have never taken drugs and was told he could tell by my eyes!! If he really was doing his job properly he could have stood at an angle in the toilet area and looked at the reflection off the silver metal air freshener straight into the cubicle to see i was wiping my behind, NOT TAKING/"CUTTING DRUGS".I was amazed that being known to the land lady for 3 years that this would even be considered. I understand that drugs is a prevalent issue but get your facts right FIRST!

I love coming to the bricklayers. I live on the same road so am in here at least 3 times a week for some down time after work. I love their wine and chips. The staff obviously know me quite well but are generally friendly anyway. They have a decent sized outdoor space and you don’t feel like you’re on a main road. I enjoy the atmosphere as it’s always relaxing and that’s basically what I want from my local.

Nicely decorated, friendly staff and they keep a good pint. They have a dart board too. Menu looked tempting, but we had already booked to eat at the Indian restaurant a couple of doors down. Nice to see that they support the local football team too, with a couple of Bromley FC scarves proudly displayed behind the bar.

This used to be a great local pub but unfortunately they've suddenly stopped serving Hurlimanns lager, which is nectar of the gods. The replacement, Asahi, tastes like drain water and gives me a terrible hangover. So now my crowd of friends gets the bus to Locks Bottom on a Friday night to go to the Olde Whyte Lion which sells a lovely pint of Hurlimanns. It's a real shame - The Bricklayers used to be the best pub in Bromley.

Visit here from time to time as it's walking distance from our house. Always find it friendly and the menu, while fairly basic traditional fayre, is acceptable. The prices, like most bars these days, are a bit steep when you consider a bottle of wine can be bought for £7 in a supermarket yet a glass in a pub is over £5, plus a pint of lager and a 33cl bottle of beer came to £7.50, but as I say, them's the prices these days! Entertainment wise they have a quiz once a week and an pen mic music jam night once a month. They also have bands on some Saturdays. And, although we visited on a Saturday night, it wasn't 'rammed' and there was no sign of any door staff, which is always a good thing in my book. In short, a good traditional boozer with plenty of apce indoors and out, a decent menu and friendly staff.

We went in here one Saturday night for a drink and some food. We were both very impressed. The atmosphere was very good and we enjoyed our visit. There was a very good selection of food and it was cooked and served very well. Only negative was the lengthy wait for the food and one of the bar staff was inappropriately dressed, but that probably wouldn't bother most people. Will visit again for the food.

Popped in here for a quick bite while travelling on business. The food (I had a simple club sandwich) was excellent and the staff very friendly. When I pulled out my computer to get some work done, the owner noticed and went out of his way to tell me I could get on free Internet, went over to get me the information and promised to help if needed (which it wasn't as it was very easy).

However when she left reception another lady came and gave us our key straight away!!!!! Very strange ! Other staff very welcoming.

Oh my goodness, what has happened to this fish bar?? Used to go there every Friday before I moved away from Biggin Hill, but what a shock I had last Friday getting fish & chips for my elderly mother. Slow service with miserable faces, very dirty uniforms being worn by the staff, hair not tied back fully on one of the girls serving. Also, a very young boy helping behind the counter, which surely must be a Health & Safety concern with all the boiling fat!!! Safe to say, I won't be returning to Salisbury's Fish Bar, Main Road, Biggin Hill again :0(
