Asistí al concurso del pub con amigos. La comida y el servicio era excelente y el cuestionario era muy divertido. Definitivamente recomiendo para cualquiera que busque una noche tranquila y agradable en un gran pub de Londres.

Asistí a una reunión de negocios en la sala de actos y tengo que decir que las instalaciones eran excelentes. El almuerzo proporcionado fue muy sabroso y todo el personal con el que tuve interacción fue extremadamente educado y servicial. Su conveniente ubicación cerca del tubo lo convirtió en un lugar ideal para nuestra reunión. Gracias de nuevo al personal que hizo que todo funcionara sin problemas

A delightful solo lunch with a glass of wine, the beetroot and leek tortellini was a beautiful melody of rich ingredients. The combination of peppers and feta created a satisfying dish, perfect for vegetarians. A truly memorable meal. Also the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming.

I was all set to send out invites for my 60th to be held here at the beginning of Feb, phoned up to sort out food etc. only to be told that the booking has been cancelled by management for their own private event!! Beyond furious now I have no venue - not a great start to 2024 🤬

I visited with a friend after a walk in Primrose Hill. The staff were very kind and helpful and there was a great selection of beers, wines and spirits on offer. The beer garden is a great sun spot and it’s very dog friendly offering water bowls and dog treats for our furry friends. We stayed longer than expected and had decided to have some food, I can highly recommend the chicken and pancetta pie. Helen behind the bar was especially accommodating bringing drinks to our table. I would highly recommend and I hope to visit again soon!

I came here for my friends birthday the other day. The staff were really friendly and there was a wide selection of both food and drinks. The beer garden is a lovely space and dog friendly which was a plus as we had 3 in the group. I'd recommend the sharing platter. I will be back again.

I just came in to take shelter from the rain . Ended up having a whole meal and few drinks. The ambience in the pub seemed really cozy in the evening. Planning to come in again on a Sunday with family, heard that their roasts are the best in town.

We hired out the upstairs room in the Pembroke to cater for a big family event we organised for Sunday lunch. There was around 40 of us with all sorts of differing requirements and needs to be met. I must say the staff were absolutely 1st rate - as was the food and everything else. Everyone enjoyed the day, and the experience - and helped create a day which will live long in the memory. A BIG thank you to all the staff that put up with us both upstairs and down, and the management team during the coordination stage. Would recommend without a doubt !

This pub is very dog friendly, a bowl of water was brought out to us as we sat down. It was a lovely sunny day so we sat in the beer garden. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the bar was well stocked with a wide choice of beverages. The Pembroke is ideally situated for both Camden Lock and Primrose Hill. I would recommend a visit to this establishment. We will be back.

I thought I'd try the Pembroke castle as it's one of the 4 famed locations in Camden with rich history and an elegant menu to match it. I wasn't expecting anything special as with any overpriced Camden pub whom I had taken my family to previously and been disappointed however, how very incorrect I was. The staff were lovely and attentive to my rather demanding group of friends as it was the world Cup (despite my best efforts to tell them to behave), they have a large selection of beers with an equally varied spirit selection (I'm large on my whiskeys). It was quite the occassion as it was a world Cup final so tensions were high, however this did not hinder or impede the high standards of service they provided us with. The menu surprised us as it stood out from most standardised pubs I come across, the roast was divine: pork tender but juicy and apple sauce complimented it. The bottomless potato's or Yorkshire puddings were an interesting addition that I had not seen before. I regret not trying the burgers because they look unbelievable! Surprisingly reasonable prices for a Camden pub.

A really lovely local pub with a great selection of food and drink. Really friendly staff, especially Steffie who got a bowl of water and treats for my dog Major, she’s made a friend for life there! The beer garden is lovely and I will be recommending it to friends.

went here with friends to enjoy the sun in the beer garden. The pub was very dog friendly which was amazing as I had my two Dalmatians with me. we had a great sharing platter which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. the lady behind the bar Helen was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. would highly recommend

I came to the Pembroke castle expecting a pub, but what I got instead was an experience. The drinks were sensational, the food was delicious, and the staff were heroic. I fail to see any reason why I should bother showing my face in another establishment again when I will never top the elation I felt in this pub.

I went out for drinks and food a couple nights ago with some friends and we were welcomed by lovely Anita and her team. The food was delicious, highly recomment the burgers. Veronica served us all night and made us feel like home. Highly reccomend if you want a cozy night out in Primrose Hill!

Encontramos este pub por accidente mientras caminábamos cerca de Chalk Farm y nos atrajo su gran jardín. El domingo, después de los servicios en Kentish Town, tomamos el autobús 393 y nos bajamos en el área de Chawk Farm caminando hacia Primrose Hill. Paramos en el castillo de Pembroke para almorzar. Un pequeño lugar muy agradable. La comida era buena y el ambiente agradable. Es un pub, por lo que "Pub Grub" es la tarifa, pero nuestra comida nos pareció buena. Mi esposa y yo optamos por hamburguesas, y nuestros amigos tenían pescado y papas fritas. Era un día soleado, y muchas personas estaban sentadas afuera en su jardín "cervecero". Siento que nuestra experiencia fue buena, y si estuviéramos de nuevo en el área, regresaríamos al Castillo de Pembroke.

Thanks to Mario and his team for such great food and service. We booked the function room for our marketing meeting, the team were fast and attentive, my boss said that the Fish finger sandwich was the best he had ever had, beating Captain Birdseye hands down! Paré en este pub la semana pasada mientras visitaba Londres. Es el pub inglés perfecto con una sensación muy acogedora para un visitante. Después de haber viajado mucho por el Reino Unido durante los últimos 4 años, me he encontrado con mi parte de servicio y calidad en los pubs ingleses "tradicionales". El castillo de Pembroke superó todas las expectativas que tenía cuando crucé la puerta. Nuestro grupo fue recibido calurosamente por el personal y nuestros pedidos de bebidas se llenaron rápidamente. Disfrutamos de las tapas, pizza y pescado y patatas fritas estándar. Todos eran frescos y sabrosos. El gerente Mario se detuvo en nuestra mesa y nos brindó algunas ideas geniales para las atracciones locales que deberíamos visitar durante nuestra estadía en el área. Fue un verdadero placer conversar con nosotros y apreciamos mucho la atención personalizada que recibimos en el pub. Todos estuvimos de acuerdo en que les contaremos a todos nuestros amigos estadounidenses sobre esta joya escondida de un pub.

Pub molto carino, servizio efficiente, buon cibo anche se la lista esterna non corrisponde al menù interno (molte meno pietanze disponibili). Buona sosta per una pinta e un Burger. Consigliato!

Second visit to this pub and it’s OK!! Nice internals and good outdoor space. Craft beers & real ale well represented with everything “On!” London Pride was in good Knick and my Wagyu Burger was tasty......although must say pretty stingy with the sweet potato fries!! All in all pretty good pub, will go back and can recommend!!

We visited for second time in two weeks. First visit Friday at lunchtime - wonderful experience 4-4.5/5. Visited again tonight. Picked wrong night -quiz night. Insistent talking by quiz master - could not think let alone talk. Ultimate burger was rated 9.5/10. I am afraid they were out of fish - so I had hot American pizza and side salad - came with terrible very acidic dressing on top. I am afraid 3/5. Overall would give it 3-3.5.

Nice pub and garden but food is overpriced and underwhelming. Multiple mistakes on the menu, rather than reprint them correctly they just pointed them all out to us which seemed a bit odd.I can only assume there is no chef and they have a list of items the staff can stuff in the microwave. Fine for a drink or two but if you want to eat avoid the disappointment and go somewhere else. Plenty of nice places nearby. Customers should be getting far better quality for those prices.

Came in yesterday lunchtime for pizza. Checked the menu outside which clearly advertised pizza, confirmed that pizza was available with the barman and then, when going back to order food 10 minutes later, was told the ovens were not ready until the evening when pizzas would then be available. Seriously? Stupidity, incompetence or both? No wonder there are so many poor reviews on TripAdvisor. Ended up with other food as we had a couple of full pints ordered after we confirmed pizza was available and it was pouring down with rain. Food was good but IT WAS NOT PIZZA. Very poor!

Solid location, nice outdoor area, ridiculously overpriced. £10 for a shot of Aperol, a shot of Prosecco (not at all generous with the pour), and some soda water..... I like this pub a lot, but the prices are extortionate - even for Primrose Hill!

Not sure why this has so many negative reviews - I love this pub. I started walking past it on my way home from work and it always looked so sunny and inviting, so eventually I popped in for dinner. Food was really great, interior is very nice with lots of big windows, and it has a really nice garden with lots of seating. Perfect pub.

I would suggest the bottle beer. My partner and I indulged in the steak and lamb roast. The food is very bland. Not much flavour at all and not worth a photo. I would not make a special trip to this place. If I lived local then maybe pop in from time to time. It’s just your regular local. Nothing special at all!! Garden is great place to relax in, well stay in-between the trains that is! The interior looks and clean. The staff were nice and friendly.

The staff is super rude, not trained with lack of social interaction! Nice garden bus super noisy, make sure you brings your earplugs with you and eventually go and spend some money elsewhere!

The food at The Pembroke Castle is unfortunately as dire today as it was back in 2004 when I first visited which is a real shame as this pub has tons of potential - a great location and a steady stream of local (and visiting) clientele willing and able to spend in return for quality. We popped in for a pint and a snack as all the other pubs in the area were packed for lunch (first clue) The grilled chicken wings (5 for £5) were passable although just barely. The nachos on the other hand were laughable. A plate of broken, tasteless chips and three small dollops of sour cream, salsa and guacamole (well I think that's what it was since all three tasted the same). Oh and some jalapeños on the top for colour I presume. Yours for £8.50. In fairness I shouldn't complain. I did have the opportunity to send it back as my girlfriend suggested but being halfway through my second Camden Pale, I thought I'd just chalk it off to another disappointing Pembroke visit and try again in another 15 years... or maybe its time I learnt my lesson.

We hosted a surprise party in the function room upstairs and everything was excellent-Mario was very helpful through all the organising and super flexible so we could have exactly what we wanted.

Went to this place a few weeks back with some friends the drinks was brought to the table and the food was served with some free chips, defiantly recommend the place if your looking for a traditional British pub, with great food and excellent customer service.

I have recently re-visited the Pembroke, which is under new management. And on every occasion, the staff and new landlord have been most welcoming. They have made each experience lovely. And I would definitely recommend this new and improved service.

I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at the Pembroke Castle, where I had reserved their upstairs function room several months ago.

Entrance fee of £6 that included free guided tour, falconry display and access to all the grounds and displays. A gem amongst castles.

i was sitting with some friends in the beer garden on sat 10th june we are all local people and had just spent an enjoyable day at the chalcot sq festival. we were enjoying a late afternoon drink .sitting next to us was a family group with 2 very well behaved children who were enoying a game of dominoes.. a member of staff came over at about 6.15 and politely told the family that the children would have to leave at 6.30 which they wre compliant with.i myself was sitting in between their table and my friends table but my pint of beer was on their table - when a member of staff came and removed all the drinks because the children were still present saying they would be refunded .as this happened i was at the bar getting a friend who had just arrived a drink..when i returned my drink had been taken on learning what had happened i went to the bar asking about my drink-eventually,i asked to see the manager who was called lucy i explained the situation and that i would like my drink back she was totally uninterested in my queery to the point of dismisal.even when one of the parents came over and explained that i had nothing to do with the children she was adamant that i would not get my drink back.and that i should leave-.the childrens parents then asked for the refund they were promised but where told to leave also as the children did not leave til l6,45-.in my opinion the manageress had no management skills whatsoever and soon disappeared when the situation was more than she could deal with and left it to her staff to sort out .we all decided to leave as the children were tired but were abhored with our treatment- my party-9 0f us got up and left after spending a lot of money in the bar . asi have said we are all local people who have decided not to frequent your bar in the future -an article will be sent to ON THE HILL our local paper by the local librarian who was in our company - a simple apology and a return of my drink would have suffised but the attitude of the so called manageress only made matters worse hopefully a lesson will be learned from a manager driving customers away as opposed to drinking in a bar run by a mature and respected individual - yours j murray -ainger road.

We were a small group of friends enjoying a summer afternoon bite and drink when approached by the supposed "Manager" of this pub, who rudely tried to kick one of the members in our group off a seat on our table. This was completely unprovoked by us, and under the excuse that we had apparently snagged a chair from inside the pub, which was untrue as the chair had already been at the table when we seated ourselves. Then this supposed "manager" verbally and physically threatened to remove the person sitting on the chair (who remained incredibly calm given the circumstances) when we asked him to apologize for singling us out. In the end we just got up and left our food there as we have never seen, heard or experienced anything so incredibly rude or offensive from staff anywhere. Will never go back again, and I wholly recommend avoiding this pub until whoever is the proprietor fixes the attitude problem of the staff.

I don't usually post negative reviews of pubs because many are understaffed and i have sympathy for employees trying to serve a large crowd. I however MUST post about the worst treatment I have EVER seen in a pub by no less than it's manager.This inappropriate, clearly under qualified Manager decided to the walk up to my friend, state that his chair should not be on the outside terrace, and physically PUSHED HIM OFF the chair to take it away. What?! To be clear, our party took no chairs in any way from the inside area; we took a chair from the table next to us. More importantly; should the great, evil move of chair from one table to another be a cardinal sin, I would expect a senior manager to behave appropriately in the circumstances; this was hardly a problem given other available chairs.This Manager fought verbally, and physically, to people of no threat, and not unruly by any means.This sad person should never be in a position of power. AVOID this ill managed pub at all costs until senior management is made aware of this issue!

This place really hit the spot for a place to hole up on a beautiful sunny day. Very nice drop of Chenin blanc as well. Gets busy and outside seating fills up quickly. We got there just after 5pm midweek and it was already fairly full in the garden. Feels quite rural except for the intermittent sound of the trains. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Inside looked nice too.

Très beau pub/brasserie : accueil décevant, vous êtes touristes mais le personnel ne fait aucun effort pour vous aider dans les démarches...nous voulions manger à 7 le midi mais impossible la grande table est réservée pour 18h45 !! rapprocher 2 tables ?? pas possible ! Commander ? pas possible ! On comprend au bout de quelques minutes qu'il faut commander au bar et payer d'avance puis mettre sa table !!On tombe par hasard sur la promo du jeudi midi : 1 pizza acheté une gratuite mais fausse joie comme le reste de la carte c'est ordinaire et peu copieux pour le prix.Bref si vous trouvez de la place ailleurs, allez-y !!

Stopped off here on a wander to Camden and enjoyed the good beer selection and the sunny courtyard garden. It's a small outside area and was packed. Nice and relaxing.
