Royal George in Camden

After a long day traveling, The Royal George was our first stop in London. So glad we did. Friendly Scottish banter, Ged and Sam couldn’t do enough for me and my family. If you are in the area, be sure to pay this place a visit. You won’t be disappointed We’ll be back 👍

The food here was lovely highly recommend the steak and sweet potato fries , such lovely staff so welcoming friendly definitely got back had such good chats with Anna , Sam , Jed maisy lovely people

Popped in for a quick drink on a Sunday afternoon. Pub was busy (football showing on screens) but staff were really friendly and service was quick and efficient.

I recently visited a Greene King pub and had a fantastic experience! The service from Jed and Sam behind the bar was outstanding. They were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was delicious – everything was cooked to perfection, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal or a few drinks. I’ll definitely be back again soon. Thanks to Jed, Sam, and the whole team for a great time!

Stopped off on our trip from London to Milan, served by a Ged and Sam duo who served great pints and great patter. A warm welcome, cold pints and a superb dinner to fill us up before our journey, couldn’t recommend the Royal George more, you’ll be well looked after

Usual pub food offering, nothing special but acceptable. Clean with a friendly atmosphere. Pleasant staff. However, Green King will now have to up their game on affordability with the Captain Flinders pub opened just down the street. The price difference across the board is very marked. Beer in particular is £1.50 to £2.00 a pint cheaper! Very good value for central London.

My wife and I had a great visit here last month - perfect convenient spot beside Euston station. Great atmosphere - warm and inviting with charming blend of traditional pub vibes and modern comforts. The highlight was undoubtedly the staff - everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. Special shout out to a tall Scottish lad who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed as well as some top tourist tips! We nicknamed him the Euston BFG. Great pub grub and plenty of drinks to choose from - we'll definitely return. Highly recommend

The staff at The Royal George are exceptional. Their genuine friendliness and unmistakable Scottish character added a unique and delightful touch to my visit. Whether it was recommending a fantastic ale or engaging in a bit of friendly banter, their hospitality was top-notch and made me feel right at home.

Stayed in the Travelodge next door so thought Royal George would be worth a visit. On arrival at around 10pm the doorman refused me entry. He said they were closing soon. As it was midweek I took his word for it although it is advertised at closing at 11. Five months later I was nearby again at around 10pm, but this time it was a Friday. The same thing happened. I queried the closing time and the doorman replied that I was not getting in in any case. He refused to give a reason. The management should know that he is refusing custom from the next door hotel for his own unknown reasons. I won’t be trying again and have told other people in the hotel not to go.

What a great wee pub. We were staying travel lodge literally next door. This wee pub has a good vibe about it . Offers great selection of beers too . We didn't get any food but the menu looked good and is so reasonably priced . We loved this wee place ,and if ever back in London I woukd absolutely return.

Came here for a few beers after work when working nearby. It’s a nice traditional pub with plenty of choices of beer. We had a few drinks and ended up having a good night

Limited time before train, asked bar man if could get food in 30 mins. No problem even though busy (though looked more like mainly drinkers!) And great fish, chips, bowls of mushy peas and tartare sauce. Very tasty and fish was huge!

Was choking for a pint after a long train journey and managed to get myself into the Royal George right across the road from the station. Sam and Ched were excellent and chatted away to myself as a threw several pints down my dry, thirsty neck. Would 100% recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of being served by Maisy at the Royal george, and I couldn't have been more impressed. Maisy greeted me with a warm smile and treated everyone with equal kindness and attention. Great place to stop and refuel. Had a wonderful vegetarian chilli and a pint of IPA, before heading to my hotel after a long day in London. Ged was very friendly and welcoming.

Came in for drinks with a couple friends, my first time in and i have got to say. Wow. We were served by a tall gentleman with glasses I believe his name was sam? The mix between banter and professionalism was emasculate. 10/10 would recommend. Great place with great staff!

Great couple of pints and food in this place. Sam Dean Vedang and Ged were working who were very professional. We were sitting on table 24 and the steak pie was fantastic compliments to the chef. Great atmosphere I think it was Man U fans that were in even after getting beat from West Ham they were having a great sing song and having banter with the police who were making sure everyone was okay! Credit to Greene king what a pub!

The white person at the bar (7pm 24 Nov) was very rude. I already apologised for forgetting to say ‘please’ when I ordered a pint but he still had to dig it in a couple more times. He relished telling to my face that ‘manners go a long way’ in front of everyone the 3rd time. I just had to apologise the 3rd time just to get it over with and to spare my companions further embarrassment. I just had a long day attending an academic conference at SOAS and momentarily forgetting the social nuances of British English was a forgivable mistake -especially if you were also immersed with non native English speakers the whole time during the conference. Anyhow this establishment just lost a good number of Asian customers (students and academics alike). We are never coming back.

Pleasant unassuming spot to wait for your train - much more civilised than the station. Fish and chips was a bit overdone but good sized side portion of fries, nice beer and friendly enough staff.
