I went here yesterday and I would like to recommend you guys to come here cause the food is really good with the beautiful garden in the restaurant, it’s a good vibe, and Carmine doing great service

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Ivy Chelsea Garden! We visited to celebrate my elderly parents' wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. Our waiter, Sergio, originally from Treviso, truly made the evening special. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we felt well taken care of throughout the night. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and the food was exceptional. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, making it a memorable celebration for our family. Thank you, Sergio, and the entire team, for making this anniversary unforgettable! We will definitely be returning.

I’ve been here once when I visit London! The dishes were full of taste and the vibe of the restaurant gave me a fantastic. The service was great also, all waiters were willing to help! Thanks to Mr.Carmine for taking care of my mom so well!

The ivy have silver service staff the other day we was walking past the ivy and decided to see if they had space for us to dine. From walking through the door to paying the bill and leaving everything was precise and perfect. Our server Tommy is someone to watch out for he has an Extremely bright future we have never had such a great experience. Thank you to the whole team and one more thank you to Tommy we will be back soon.

Went just before Christmas and was very busy with a great atmosphere. The Christmas snowman dessert was fantastic!

The food was really good. Also the treat was amazing, we booked a table for my birthday and the staff was taking care of everything was perfect for this ocasión and at the end of the dinner they invited us to a cake.

Came in for Dinner with my wife. Food was of a good standard with plenty of options to choose from. Staff were attentive and thoughtful, Kim the manager on duty especially made sure that all ours needs were taken care of. Will definitely be returning. We went for afternoon tea. The selection of pastries and cakes was okay, but it could definitely be improved. The éclair and one of the square pastries could be replaced to enhance the overall variety and quality.

The place botanical atmosphere is enchanting with the Christmas trees and Christmas decorations. Unfortunately the service was slow , the young staff were confuse with sittings and orders , not a friendly face everyone was with attitude 🙄 The food was not presented properly it was just chuck in the plates like we are in Asian market place . The salad was pre made and overpowered with the wrong soy sauce. Cheap plastic dishes and inappropriate cutlery with the main course?! 🤨 The Christmas Special desert was scary looking snowman served on top of melted fresh cream tasteless 👎 The Christmas pudding was very small too ?! Toilets not enough and disgusting🤨 We didn’t enjoy it and left disappointed 😕

We had a reservation and we were accommodated at a table in the dehor in front of the exit door. The door was constantly left open by the waiters getting in/out and we were freezing. I asked for a different table and, even though there were many free table not yet assigned, my request was refused. This is a totally unacceptable and very unpleasant behavior, especially from the table manager (he could not care less, and just wanted to fill the restaurant at its maximum)

Extremely rude staff asking us to leave whilst we were eating our main course (the food wasn’t the best) we only had 2 hour slot and they need the table for other customers for New Year’s Eve, didn’t expect this when I paid over £200 for 3 courses!! It was not a great start to the evening at all! Would not go back, they don’t deserve our money!

My husband and I had lunch there with our grandchildren on Saturday 28th December and I have two comments to feed back: 1. I had booked a while back but when we arrived we were taken to a small table for 4 whereas we were 5 and nor was the table laid for 5. As it was very cramped I told the lady who took us to the table that I was a tad miffed at this circumstance. To give her her due, she immediately went to enquire for a table for 5 and moved us. She was 'on the job' but it shouldn't have happened. 2. We had a delightful and very helpful server named Rianna...not always easy with 3 children two of whom were little ones but she was patient and understanding. So, despite the initial hiccup, it was another good experience which we and our grandchildren enjoyed

We went to this restaurant for New Year's Eve dinner, excellent, very professional service and quality food. Highly recommended!

We were visiting London for the holidays this year! We are a family of four. The Ivy Chelsea Garden was recommended to us as a great choice for New Year’s day brunch and we decide to book! The location is quite nice and the decor is lovely,. Sadly, this was really the only positive aspect about the experience. The service was slow. It took about 20-30 minutes for someone to stop in to take our order. We opted for the arrancini and sourdough bread as a starters. The bread was fine while the arrancini was underwhelming. For our mains we opted for eggs Royale and eggs Benedict. The eggs were poached well, the salmon and ham were good. The toasted muffin was so hard, we all had difficulty cutting through it. I was surprised they would served it this way. Just when out table was cleared we were considering coffee and desert, but we were not offered a menu, instead we were told that we would need to give up our table shortly!? We decided to end the visit. Had our desert and coffee next door at Gails bakery. In summary, ordinary cuisine, impersonal slow service. Disappointed. Will not return.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Ivy Chelsea Garden during the Christmas holiday after plenty of internet research. It is a very beautiful restaurant and worth checking out for the ambience itself. The finger sandwiches were tasty, especially the chicken truffle one. The staff is attentive and incredibly friendly. I don’t usually write reviews but this place went above and beyond! If you’re deciding on afternoon tea options, check this place out!!!

This was our first time visiting the Ivy restaurant chain, and my wife and I were impressed by the ambiance. I hadn’t anticipated such an elegant setup inside. The restaurant offered four different menus, including options for vegans and vegetarians, as well as a festive menu and drinks selection. I ordered a Sunday roast along with a variety of à la carte dishes, finishing off with the Ivy's special snowman dessert, which turned out to be quite heavy for both of us. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Such a pretty atmosphere, great food! Service only knocked off a star because they clearly were overwhelmed due to untrained staff and too many bookings, meaning service wasn't as smooth as expected given prices.

Very disappointing. We are regulars at several of the Ivy restaurants but unfortunately after the second disappointing experience in a row at the Chelsea location, we will now be crossing this one off our list. We were cold throughout the meal due to the cold blast of air that came through the restaurant every time the door was opened. My daughter even ended up putting her coat back on. The restaurant was not busy but the food took a long time to arrive. When it did arrive several of the items on a few of the plates were cold or seemingly not well cooked. In particular, the beans, the bacon and the sausages. One of the poached eggs was undercooked while the other was over cooked (almost like a boiled egg). We figured that there may have been staffing issues in the kitchen (due to the wait and the cold food) but there should still be some quality control before the food arrives at the table. We had three different wait staff ask us if we wanted water for the table, but that still took a good 10 minutes to arrive. The mens room looked like it was undergoing maintenance with buckets under all the urinals and a cleaning rag sitting on top of one of them. Overall, the food was not terrible, but we definitely expected more considering the price and our experiences at other Ivy restaurants.

This place is a great date night venue: helped by the wonderful Nelson who was so attentive and friendly. This guy understands how service is meant to be. Fast friendly and above and beyond. Food was yummy but most of all the atmosphere is great - and cocktails - a good place to chill for a while and make it your local.

So disappointed 😞 Ordered Grandaughter a snowman pudding after watching others in restaurant being surprised with the fancy dry ice dome. Ours was put on table in a bowl, asked the staff to return it and do it properly to which we eventually got another one put on table, this time with a dome but no dry ice. Ruined the moment for my Grandaughter. Took ages to get staff attention to order. Decorations were poor. People queuing in restaurant to use toilets.

My wife loves the cocktails (typically high London/King's Road pricing in place). Service can be quite difficult to engage with if you are only here for drinks as we were.

We went for afternoon tea on dec 14 in Chelsea garden. The place was super crowded and the staffs who attended us didn’t give us good service. When they brought the afternoon tea cakes and sandwiches , she didn’t even care to tell us the name of the sandwiches and cakes. It was one woman and one man providing us service. When the man asked which tea we would like, he didn’t even care to give us the options. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were tasteless. Tescos finest scones were better than theirs. The staffs kept bringing unbooked customers when there was no sitting available and stood them in the bar and kept pointing towards us, when they leave you guys can have the table. It was really unpleasant and uncomfortable for us as the people kept staring at us as when we will finish and leave and we hadn’t even been there for 30 minutes. The staff kept hovering around us to take our plates and cups as soon as they could so we’d leave. If I knew it was going to be unpleasant experience and tasteless afternoon tea like that, and we would just made to be rushed , we’d never show up . I’m not going to the Ivy again.

I have been to this restaurant a few times and it never fails to disappoint. My visit today was excellent and the service I received from Riana was first class. She was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble snd everything was with a smile! Food was exceptional I had 3 courses from the Christmas menu. The snowman dessert was the highlight!

I was taken there for my Birthday. I have been many times before. However never seen a mouse running around the tables. When it was brought to the attention of the staff they were quite dismissive. No apology. Won’t be going there again.

This is the 3rd Ivy been too and definately the best. Not just the ambience, the food quality and decor but superb waiting staff. Serghio is absolutely 1st class and an asset to your restaurant. Me and my friends eat at a lot of restaurants and as two of us have also worked in the service industry in the past, we know the monumental effort he was putting in to ensure we had the best time. All your staff have pleasant non demeaning mannerisms, are kind and friendly regardless of obvious class differences of your clientel. The food was superb and beautifully presented with great flourishes like the snowman cocktail and chocolate bomb dessert. I will be back in the new year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

We had a reservation, and there were plenty of empty tables for other people in the venue. When the blonde lady at the door showed us to our table, we asked if we could move to another one. We were a group of three and were seated at a table for four. The other table we wanted to sit at was also for four people, but she said she couldn’t seat three people there because those tables were for four people. We asked about other options, but she insisted that we could only sit at the table she showed us. Because of this, even the waiter apologized and seemed embarrassed. (Bcs none of them have reservation!)Other than that, everything was great, but the lady was a bit tense, and for two hours, the nicer tables remained empty while we were stuck in a cramped spot. When you’re greeted with a rude and tense attitude upon entering.

I was here last night to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and had a great time. Special thanks have to go to Herena who looked after us at our table. Her service was impeccable and her recommendations greatly appreciated. Thank you Herena, you really made our experience a 5 star sitting. The food itself was nice, though my husbands burger was a bit dry which surprised us in comparison to previous visits. We didn’t say anything as we arrived 30 minutes late for our booking and was still seated and given 90 minutes at our table which was greatly appreciated. To finish it all off, I have to say the Margarita cocktails are divine - we chose the classic version with salt and I could have easily polished off a few more. The atmosphere was very busy, which surprised us as it was Wednesday evening, nonetheless the Ivy’s popularity ensured a full house and I do prefer a quieter setting. Though popularity isn’t really a fault. Thanks for helping me make the occasion a celebration, and once again thank you to Herena for your incredible service!

Table of 8 - Pre-booked - Festive Menu. Staff employed in any restaurant to welcome and serve, should do so to the best of their ability regardless; that is their role and purpose. Even a few staff behaving in a judgmental, arrogant and pretentious manner affects the dining experience negatively. In my experience The Ivy Chelsea suffers from this but also seems perfectly fine with it. 1) We were not greeted by the front of house staff, just stared at as if we were trespassing. There was no welcome or acknowledgement. 2) On opening the door to enter the restaurant, one of the suited older male staff blocked me in order to get the attention of, and take, my 18year old daughter and her three friends to the table, ignoring myself and the other guests. I am particularly annoyed by this member of staff’s behaviour. 3) The first suited male staff to attend the table, a couple of minutes after i was seated, lethargically asked me “do you want to order food or drink or something?” (I did ask him to come back and try again) 4) The general table food service was not fitting of a “high end” restaurant. However, and luckily for my table, the Green tunic wearing young lady who looked after our table was lovely and attentive to my guests requirements. The tables starters and main dishes were nicely presented but of low interest. Steaks were well prepared, but the strange “Shepherds Pie” and Turkey Ballantine were both disappointingly plain. Deserts were excellent (Chocolate Bombe and Creme Brûlée) and the only food highlight. The Ivy did recognise my daughter’s 18th birthday with a complementary desert and candle, which was appreciated. The service charge @13.5% was high, and on this occasion, not justified. For the effort and cost, when compared to other “high end” restaurants, The Ivy Chelsea was a disappointing experience. However, my daughter and her friends had an enjoyable time, which was the sole purpose of the visit. For a friendlier, more positive “Ivy experience” I would recommend the restaurant in St Albans. But I would choose any number of high end restaurants outside of London over going back to eat amongst the arrogance of London.

The Christmas menu was delicious especially the cute snowman dessert. The Chelsea branch is the most beautiful of all the locations. The staff were very friendly including Roman and Zizou pascal ( the floor manager) who was very warm and welcoming. This made our lunch date very nice! Would definitely recommend

We really enjoyed our brunch at the ivy chelsea garden. It’s a lovely setting and we were in the conservatory area. Lots of plants everywhere. The staff were friendly and food was great too. Highly recommended to start with their bread.

Beautiful place with its lush decor and stylish setting, but unfortunately, the afternoon tea experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. While the food was well-presented and tasted good, the service left a lot to be desired, as the staff were not very attentive. The venue was also very crowded, which took away from the relaxing vibe you’d expect from an afternoon tea. Instead of a serene, leisurely experience, it felt more like a bustling restaurant atmosphere. It’s a stunning spot, but if you’re after a calm and chilled afternoon tea, this might not be the best choice.

I had brunch with friends at this so-called 'luxury' restaurant, but the experience was far from luxurious. The burger was overcooked and rubbery, with no inquiry about preferred doneness. Orders arrived incomplete, and the waiter was unfriendly and dismissive throughout. When we asked to take our food to go, we were handed boxes to pack ourselves—unexpected and unacceptable given the steep prices. Disapointingly, we had to pay a service charge for the experience.

Right upon entrance, instead of a welcome, we were treated in the rudest possible way! Even though I made a reservation online and had called in advance to confirm my reservation, the reception manager “Kamil” insisted that I do not have a reservation, mockingly suggested that I must have confused the restaurant or the date. After I asked him to double check properly, spelling my name, he found my reservation but did not even apologize for his earlier behavior. It took him 10 minutes to find a booking and was busy ridiculing the customer instead of doing his job. I had booked an indoors table, but he gave us one outside and rudely told us “you have 1 hour because it is already 15 min passed your reservation time”. It is unacceptable for a senior employee responsible for welcoming guests to treat them so impolitely. From a well-known place like “The ivy,” I was expecting a higher level of customer service.

1st visit to this restaurant. Without a doubt (in my opinion) the best looking The Ivy. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful no matter where you are sitting. As a vegan, I felt there were plenty options for starters and mains (I had the Asian salad and Lentil bake respectively. 5 stars!) but desert options were unfortunately very disappointing. There were 3 options: fresh fruit, and 2 options of sorbets. A place like this can definitely do better than that for the vegans. It’s winter time, something warm and sweet would have been nice. I don’t believe anyone goes to a restaurant like that to order fresh fruit, regardless of how beautifully arranged they are… To finish on a very positive note, our host Carolina was incredibly attentive and helpful. Always smiling and happy to help. What an asset you have!

Recently booked an evening meal here with family members on a few days trip to London . The meals involved steaks sirloin , rib eye and lobster linguine all of which were absolutely delicious. Sour dough bread to start was equally delicious and the snowman desert pudding a real treat . .Special thanks to our server Caroline who was attentive throughout extremely professional and gave us wonderful service . Would definitely recommend as a wonderful venue for a delicious evening meal

Wonderful establishment but the men’s bathroom was out of order which caused a major inconvenience for me and my friends. That shouldn’t happen at a place of this size with the amount of popularity it has.

Saw a mouse during high tea. Not a lot of tea options and high tea is much better in other places! They didn’t offer a discount for the mouse scrambling under our table.

We did afternoon tea here. The atmosphere and vibe is amazing. The tea given was a tea bag but I was expecting tea leaves instead of a tea bag tea. The snacks given with tea were also cold and okayish.

Lovely restaurant, visited on Friday 15th November, food was good but not very hot.Staff where very disappointing, not particularly friendly, didn't return with drinks order and didn't acknowledge us as we collected coats on leaving. Overrated and we would not recommend or return.

Had an amazing experience. Food was amazing as well as the staff and the atmoshpere.

The food is ok but not worth the price besides the bread. My chicken was very dry. Someonelse fish and chips average. The chips actually tastes as those out of a pre-made frozen bag. The service was a mess, I asked to book a table in advance in advance in the conservatory, we were placed in a he main noisy room near a group of loud teenegaers. Our waiter was very nice but the service overall quite messy. Someone brought the bread and butter but no plates. The drinks arrived after the starters….really poor considering the costs and the image the chain wants to portrait.

Half of their food is pork, okay, there is nothing wrong with it, but the taste of the food is very bad, there is one good thing, the room, tea, service was good, there is no problem with that, the atmosphere is closed, everywhere is closed, excuse me, my ass is sweating.
