I have been to this restaurant a few times and it never fails to disappoint. My visit today was excellent and the service I received from Riana was first class. She was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble snd everything was with a smile! Food was exceptional I had 3 courses from the Christmas menu. The snowman dessert was the highlight!

I was taken there for my Birthday. I have been many times before. However never seen a mouse running around the tables. When it was brought to the attention of the staff they were quite dismissive. No apology. Won’t be going there again.

We had a reservation, and there were plenty of empty tables for other people in the venue. When the blonde lady at the door showed us to our table, we asked if we could move to another one. We were a group of three and were seated at a table for four. The other table we wanted to sit at was also for four people, but she said she couldn’t seat three people there because those tables were for four people. We asked about other options, but she insisted that we could only sit at the table she showed us. Because of this, even the waiter apologized and seemed embarrassed. (Bcs none of them have reservation!)Other than that, everything was great, but the lady was a bit tense, and for two hours, the nicer tables remained empty while we were stuck in a cramped spot. When you’re greeted with a rude and tense attitude upon entering.

This is the 3rd Ivy been too and definately the best. Not just the ambience, the food quality and decor but superb waiting staff. Serghio is absolutely 1st class and an asset to your restaurant. Me and my friends eat at a lot of restaurants and as two of us have also worked in the service industry in the past, we know the monumental effort he was putting in to ensure we had the best time. All your staff have pleasant non demeaning mannerisms, are kind and friendly regardless of obvious class differences of your clientel. The food was superb and beautifully presented with great flourishes like the snowman cocktail and chocolate bomb dessert. I will be back in the new year. Table of 8 - Pre-booked - Festive Menu. Staff employed in any restaurant to welcome and serve, should do so to the best of their ability regardless; that is their role and purpose. Even a few staff behaving in a judgmental, arrogant and pretentious manner affects the dining experience negatively. In my experience The Ivy Chelsea suffers from this but also seems perfectly fine with it. 1) We were not greeted by the front of house staff, just stared at as if we were trespassing. There was no welcome or acknowledgement. 2) On opening the door to enter the restaurant, one of the suited older male staff blocked me in order to get the attention of, and take, my 18year old daughter and her three friends to the table, ignoring myself and the other guests. I am particularly annoyed by this member of staff’s behaviour. 3) The first suited male staff to attend the table, a couple of minutes after i was seated, lethargically asked me “do you want to order food or drink or something?” (I did ask him to come back and try again) 4) The general table food service was not fitting of a “high end” restaurant. However, and luckily for my table, the Green tunic wearing young lady who looked after our table was lovely and attentive to my guests requirements. The tables starters and main dishes were nicely presented but of low interest. Steaks were well prepared, but the strange “Shepherds Pie” and Turkey Ballantine were both disappointingly plain. Deserts were excellent (Chocolate Bombe and Creme Brûlée) and the only food highlight. The Ivy did recognise my daughter’s 18th birthday with a complementary desert and candle, which was appreciated. The service charge @13.5% was high, and on this occasion, not justified. For the effort and cost, when compared to other “high end” restaurants, The Ivy Chelsea was a disappointing experience. However, my daughter and her friends had an enjoyable time, which was the sole purpose of the visit. For a friendlier, more positive “Ivy experience” I would recommend the restaurant in St Albans. But I would choose any number of high end restaurants outside of London over going back to eat amongst the arrogance of London.

I was here last night to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and had a great time. Special thanks have to go to Herena who looked after us at our table. Her service was impeccable and her recommendations greatly appreciated. Thank you Herena, you really made our experience a 5 star sitting. The food itself was nice, though my husbands burger was a bit dry which surprised us in comparison to previous visits. We didn’t say anything as we arrived 30 minutes late for our booking and was still seated and given 90 minutes at our table which was greatly appreciated. To finish it all off, I have to say the Margarita cocktails are divine - we chose the classic version with salt and I could have easily polished off a few more. The atmosphere was very busy, which surprised us as it was Wednesday evening, nonetheless the Ivy’s popularity ensured a full house and I do prefer a quieter setting. Though popularity isn’t really a fault. Thanks for helping me make the occasion a celebration, and once again thank you to Herena for your incredible service!

We really enjoyed our brunch at the ivy chelsea garden. It’s a lovely setting and we were in the conservatory area. Lots of plants everywhere. The staff were friendly and food was great too. Highly recommended to start with their bread.

The Christmas menu was delicious especially the cute snowman dessert. The Chelsea branch is the most beautiful of all the locations. The staff were very friendly including Roman and Zizou pascal ( the floor manager) who was very warm and welcoming. This made our lunch date very nice! Would definitely recommend

It's a nice place with a very nice atmosphere, especially with its Christmas decorations. We went for breakfast, it was nice, but when we looked at the price, we realized that we didn't get that much service.

Right upon entrance, instead of a welcome, we were treated in the rudest possible way! Even though I made a reservation online and had called in advance to confirm my reservation, the reception manager “Kamil” insisted that I do not have a reservation, mockingly suggested that I must have confused the restaurant or the date. After I asked him to double check properly, spelling my name, he found my reservation but did not even apologize for his earlier behavior. It took him 10 minutes to find a booking and was busy ridiculing the customer instead of doing his job. I had booked an indoors table, but he gave us one outside and rudely told us “you have 1 hour because it is already 15 min passed your reservation time”. It is unacceptable for a senior employee responsible for welcoming guests to treat them so impolitely. From a well-known place like “The ivy,” I was expecting a higher level of customer service.

I had brunch with friends at this so-called 'luxury' restaurant, but the experience was far from luxurious. The burger was overcooked and rubbery, with no inquiry about preferred doneness. Orders arrived incomplete, and the waiter was unfriendly and dismissive throughout. When we asked to take our food to go, we were handed boxes to pack ourselves—unexpected and unacceptable given the steep prices. Disapointingly, we had to pay a service charge for the experience.

1st visit to this restaurant. Without a doubt (in my opinion) the best looking The Ivy. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful no matter where you are sitting. As a vegan, I felt there were plenty options for starters and mains (I had the Asian salad and Lentil bake respectively. 5 stars!) but desert options were unfortunately very disappointing. There were 3 options: fresh fruit, and 2 options of sorbets. A place like this can definitely do better than that for the vegans. It’s winter time, something warm and sweet would have been nice. I don’t believe anyone goes to a restaurant like that to order fresh fruit, regardless of how beautifully arranged they are… To finish on a very positive note, our host Carolina was incredibly attentive and helpful. Always smiling and happy to help. What an asset you have!

Beautiful place with its lush decor and stylish setting, but unfortunately, the afternoon tea experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. While the food was well-presented and tasted good, the service left a lot to be desired, as the staff were not very attentive. The venue was also very crowded, which took away from the relaxing vibe you’d expect from an afternoon tea. Instead of a serene, leisurely experience, it felt more like a bustling restaurant atmosphere. It’s a stunning spot, but if you’re after a calm and chilled afternoon tea, this might not be the best choice.

Recently booked an evening meal here with family members on a few days trip to London . The meals involved steaks sirloin , rib eye and lobster linguine all of which were absolutely delicious. Sour dough bread to start was equally delicious and the snowman desert pudding a real treat . .Special thanks to our server Caroline who was attentive throughout extremely professional and gave us wonderful service . Would definitely recommend as a wonderful venue for a delicious evening meal

Wonderful establishment but the men’s bathroom was out of order which caused a major inconvenience for me and my friends. That shouldn’t happen at a place of this size with the amount of popularity it has.

Saw a mouse during high tea. Not a lot of tea options and high tea is much better in other places! They didn’t offer a discount for the mouse scrambling under our table.

We did afternoon tea here. The atmosphere and vibe is amazing. The tea given was a tea bag but I was expecting tea leaves instead of a tea bag tea. The snacks given with tea were also cold and okayish.

Amazing afternoon tea experience. If you are going to try a true English tea moment this is absolutely the best. Due to the time of year it was decked out for the holidays and had accommodations for the cold.

The food is ok but not worth the price besides the bread. My chicken was very dry. Someonelse fish and chips average. The chips actually tastes as those out of a pre-made frozen bag. The service was a mess, I asked to book a table in advance in advance in the conservatory, we were placed in a he main noisy room near a group of loud teenegaers. Our waiter was very nice but the service overall quite messy. Someone brought the bread and butter but no plates. The drinks arrived after the starters….really poor considering the costs and the image the chain wants to portrait.

Half of their food is pork, okay, there is nothing wrong with it, but the taste of the food is very bad, there is one good thing, the room, tea, service was good, there is no problem with that, the atmosphere is closed, everywhere is closed, excuse me, my ass is sweating.

The food/atmosphere was great but the service was unbelievable. We ordered a basket of pastries, then reminded them again that we didn't get and they still didn't get it. We had to ask for the bill twice until we got it and we were charged for the pastries !!! They gracefully sorted it out but it was really unusual today not sure why .. the restaurant wasn't crowded at all though

The atmosphere is nice. The food was disappointing. We ordered chicken Milanese and chicken breast, but both were overcooked. Service was ordinary. Staff need to be trained on hygiene. It is unacceptable for staff to leave the toilet without washing their hands in the presence of customers.

Enjoyed the food and cocktails, however, not the constant ask from waiters. This is my impression compared to The Ivy in Liverpool Street. When I attended it, the atmosphere was more relaxed, and the waiters were still really professional.

Tasty fish n chips, yet nothing memorable. Lovely environment and decor. Unfortunately, I didn't sit in their garden room (what they're known for..!!). My partner and I were advised that the restaurant was about to get busy when we were having a cup of tea after our meal, which I thought was a bit rude. That's when we were offered a table in their garden room, but we decided to leave instead. Waiters a tad snobby, and I don't agree with them simply standing around when it's quiet.

I reached out to guest relations of the ivy before posting this but given I haven‘t heard back from them to date (1 week), I‘m making this public. I was at the Ivy Chelsea on Oct 27th with 3 friends that visited London. It was quite busy and service took a bit long but that was okay. The quality of the food however was bottom line disappointing. I‘ll let the pictures speak for themselves but I wonder what kind of chef would actually allow for these meals to be sent to the guest. Got a tough and well overdone filet wellington twice! After one hour of total waiting we decided to leave the place without eating my main and I got a tuna sandwich at Paul‘s instead. Deeply disappointed on how they take guest feedback and the way this situation was handled (not at all).

Really disappointing. Booked for 1.15pm table not ready, service lackluster, starters arrived with the main courses, food was very average. Not what it used to be.

Great place to were to go when in London to spoilt the missus.i really like the beef tartare and the fish and chips. Great value for money for the quality you get. I will defently come back again 😊

I had my wedding reception at the private dining room the glasshouse. The atmosphere was great, the food was great and the service was excellent. I've never encountered such great service by Faycal. Everyone was so well looked after and every time we looked up they were there to help. They also looked after the children with things to draw and their own food and table. Highly recommend!

Our first visit at the Ivy, first impression is really nice with traditional British feel. We had afternoon tea, food is really good and presentation is beautiful. Enough choice for everyone and sufficient. The only downside of our visit is the noise from other guest chatter/laughing (maybe typical brits?) despite of request on the quiet section. Seating on the garden is actually better/quiet, but according to the staff normally it's more noise in the garden section.

Fabjan made our evening! My sister and I had dinner for my birthday and the team made sure it was really special. Fabjan took such good care to check our dietary restrictions and we were delighted that the blackened cod is gluten free. Very well located restaurant (Kings Road), with a careful and refreshing visual identity, which offers different spaces within the same establishment. The starters and dishes were good. The service was friendly and pleasant. The environment is very good.

The first thing to say is that this is a very lovely restaurant: a beautiful setting, friendly staff and a tasty menu. However, one of the guests in out group has a severe garlic allergy, and we were very surprised to hear that the steak sauces were all pre-made and that all ( including Béarnaise) contained garlic powder Fortunately, the waiter kindly allerted the chef who agreed to make a fresh Bèarnaise, which saved the day.

The original Ivy experience in Chelsea. Not just managers like Darko but great, young and friendly staff (cannot recall the name of a young lady) make an ordinary family dinner an unforgettable experience. Try to get a table in the garden. My rare 5 stars across all review categories.

The food was enjoyable, but the seating arrangement and service were disappointing. If the weather’s good, I’d highly recommend sitting outside, as our indoor experience wasn’t great. We visited for a late lunch on a rainy day and were seated in a rather uncomfortable spot. In front of us were two large group tables, and on either side of us were smaller tables, and bar behind us. It was noisy, and we found ourselves stuck in the middle of people shouting to hear each other. It was overwhelming and making it hard to have a relaxing meal. The staff who took our order was kind and professional, but another staff member who served us later wasn’t as attentive. After finishing our meal, we asked her for the bill. She acknowledged the request but didn’t return. We noticed her interacting with a nearby birthday group, singing and chatting with them. Even after the singing was over, she stayed around their table, smiling and engaging with them, and despite making eye contact with us a few times, she didn’t come back with the bill. We patiently waited for about 20 minutes, which was frustrating as we had another appointment to get to. When we finally reminded her, she brought the wrong receipt. To make matters worse, even though we had said we’d pay by card, she didn’t bring the card machine. She just left the incorrect receipt on the table and disappeared again, focusing on the group next to us. It felt like we were being ignored. Eventually, we had to flag down another staff member ourselves. Thankfully, this person quickly understood the situation, brought the correct receipt and card machine, and we were able to leave. While the food was good, the lack of attentiveness during the payment process really impacted our overall experience.

Booked for brunch. Asked to change tables as was so noisy seated next to bar area and sandwiched between two other tables - could not enjoy a conversation easily. Moved tables. Service fair , menu not explained. When food arrived it was not hot and incredibly average - eggs royale with a tiny amount of smoked salmon. Vegetarian breakfast arrived with someone's hair as an extra topping. Returned to kitchen which meant we ate separately. Both dishes small and no better than our local pubs. We definitely would not recommend or return. Incredibly average all round- guess it's the name that attracts.

Yassine made the best suggestions for our order, from starters to dessert everything was delicious. He sang Happy Birthday to my wife and treated us like royalty! We’ll definitely come back!!!

Food was good, service was ok. The waitress forgot a couple of items, we found out when we received the bill, someone on the table who really didn’t enjoy their steak was given a ribeye after ordering a sirloin and we were charged an extra £15 for this waitress mistake. Had to ask 4 times for the desserts we had ordered and was then told we apparently hadn’t ordered them. £56 service charge automatically added to our bill. When I asked for this to be removed so I could leave a cash tip more fitting to our experience the waitress snatched the receipt and stormed off, as we left she was moaning about us to other staff at the front of the restaurant. The service charge is by law optional, it is illegal to make anybody feel pressured to pay this, which I believe this snobby restaurant does! Drinks were overpriced, the average cocktails are £16-£18.

A restaurant famous for serving English dishes and atmosphere We went for breakfast at 10 am It is very easy to book from their website As soon as you enter, they offer you the service of taking the jacket, hang it up for you, and give you a number on it It has indoor and outdoor seating, the place is extremely beautiful, and the people are very classy We ordered eggs Benedict with avocado, pancakes and tea The eggs are very soft and served with delicious fries Pancakes are normal We ordered the tea and they brought only one cup. We asked for more and they brought us a second cup. We told them that only one was enough for us. We needed an extra cup. But we were surprised that in the invoice they charged us 2 tea The employee who served us was very respectful, kind, and courteous A wonderful experience that will be repeated, God willing

It’s rare to find a restaurant befitting of a special occasion anymore but I can say ‘The Ivy Chelsea Garden’ is one of them. We visited with our young son for my wife’s birthday and had a fantastic time. Brilliant food, classy decor and fantastic staff! Who deserve a massive shoutout for how friendly they’re to children and they make them feel so welcome. Will definitely be back! Great restaurant!

Nice atmosphere but the food (chicken Milanese, Mac and cheese, Ivy burger) all tasted rather bland and was lacking spice/salt.

Quality of ingredients were great but the food tasted so bland and lacked any flavour.

The beetroot salad and profiterol is super delicious. Profiterol’s portion is enough for 2 people.

I tried their breakfast and it was nice. I had a vegetarian breakfast that brought you eggs, beans, halloumi, potatoes and vegetables. Their tea is beautiful The shame of the place is that it was silent and they refused to let us sit in the outdoor sessions But overall it is worth a try and I will come back
