I love this place and make a point of visitng nearly every week. I have had meals in the restaurant (all delicious but recommend the Sunday roast above all I think), and have had drinks in the bar (great atmosphere especially the very lively and fairly high brow pub quiz on Monday evenings).... but most of all I go there to play pool. It is one of the only pubs in London that has pool tables (three American modern table top type tables) in an atmosphere that is welcoming and has none of that 'locals only' or 'play the winner' type of approach. Great service - especially up in the pool room as they bring food and drinks up there for you. This place however sadly closes on March 27th for a renovation of the entire building meaning it will be closed till 2017!!! Such a huge shame... I am off there on Wednesday again to say goodbye to the old place and can't wait to go back there when it opens again for a lovely mean in super friendly surroundings...

Had a table booked for 1830 - This had been booked over 20 hours in advance. Arrived spot on time and was ignored by no less than 3 members of staff. eventually we were seated after 10 minutes of pointless standing around and given the menus, Was not asked is we would like a beverage at any point. As it was a Sunday we had previously decided upon a roast dinner (obviously it's a Sunday) and seeing as the menu given to us was a roast menu more the better. At this point we were told, in a rather snooty fashion, that they had run out of roasts. I could scarcely believe my ears, run out of roasts (ALL OF THEM) on a Sunday surely this must mean they have run out of pork or chicken or something. But no to my shock, horror and utter disbelief they had run out of roasts - this was confirmed by the waitress being even more condescending with me than previous. We made the decision to leave as I cannot abide eating somewhere were I have been made to feel angry, and also somewhere which can so freely and without any forethought run out of food. Shall not be returning.

A few friends from work wanted to have a bit of healthy competition, so we arranged a pool tournament, which was held in The Cadogen Arms Billiards Room. The room with 3 American pool tables is private, so the perfect place to hold this event. They also have a well stocked bar in the room, and an iPod docking station so there is no need to leave!! We ordered some bar snacks, which were amazing, the chips were out of this world. The Events Manager Nadia was really helpful and tentative, without her our night wouldn't have been so good, she really thought of everything. On the evening we were looked after by Adam the Bar Manger and his team, they were all fantastic and the service was top class. Attending a charity event and there were 20 adults dining. We were taken up to a large room upstairs which was perfect as we were a little noisy all laughing. This was such a perfect place for us all to catch up and relax before our big fund raiser the following day. We all had mains and dessert and the food was wonderful. I had Cod which was piping hot and the chocolate dessert was wonderful. I was just going to have a taste of the dessert but unfortunately it was so good had to finish it! We arrived later on a Friday evening at the restaurant. We were greeted by a very unenthusiastic waitress (a lady with short brown hair) who informed us we could eat but only if we ordered right away! Already feeling very welcome we soon realised the greeting we received was the start of a downward spiral of what only be described as some of the most dreadful service we have ever experienced. The food was delivered with a scowl and then interrupted by a clatter as the waitress dropped some cutlery and then instead of picking it up kicked it across the floor into the backroom. Simply put, the food was outstanding, such a shame that the service did not match!

Fortunately the duck was delicious - the best I've had anywhere, and the chocolate pudding was perfect - soft and spongy but gooey in the middle. We decided to pop into The Cadogan Arms during a recent downpour while frequenting the Kings Road in Chelsea. What a find this place is! We blessed our good fortune to be in the area on a Thursday, which is their weekly Gin night. The bartender Jordan gleefully informed us of this, which meant we would get a double serving of the "Gin of the night" for the price of a single. We were given a full run down of the tipple we were to partake in, it's history, it's botanical contents and more, and on tasting, we were not disappointed. Fresh tasting and served with an apple slice to garnish, it delivered on the high expectations we had after such a unexpected lesson in the background of the product. After a couple more gins, we grabbed some bar snacks (olives are incredible) and also decided to have a cocktail to add a bit of variety. The Cadogan Arms has a bespoke list of cocktails, although they will make classics. Jordan recommended we try the Brimful of Gin, a gin and ginger concoction that was absolutely delicious. This place is definitely not your regular British pub, the service is attentive, the drinks are excellent, and the food they serve smelled and looked delicious. We will definitely be back to try the food, after such a great experience with the bar staff I'm sure we will be just as pleased with the restaurant.

This was really fun and a bit funny. On the last night of our trip to England (Essex) and Paris, we spent the night with family just off the Kings Road. Yes it is a pub. so I guess this is Pub Grub but hardly the same as a pub in Essex. We had asparagus and nettle soup to start, I had a starter (appetizer) as a main course, mackerel fillet and my better half had a burger. With a bottle of wine, coffee and liqueurs the bill came to 81 pounds sterling. We thought that was pretty good value for money. The food we fresh, really nicely cooked and presented. Waitress was charming and friendly. The decor is very hunting and fishing all that. There is a rather startled bison over the fire place - to quote an old Morcambe and Wise joke, he must have been travelling! It was noisy but perfectly OK for a pub.

Very good service and the quality of the fish and beef was excellent. It was also seasoned and cooked beautifully. The burgers were uniformly pink throughout, so well rested, and the mackerel and sea bass were done to perfection. Black pudding croquettes a little dull but the home made potato gnocchi and the triple cooked chips were great. By-the-glass wines good. Interesting pudding menu (cornflake milk sorbet!) although burned honey and thyme ice was a little crystalline, had too much thyme in it and not enough honey. Overall though, very good. Firstly, it is pants having a birthday on a Wednesday. No one really wants to do anything in the daytime so it was left for to my partner to organise something for that day.Living south of the river and working in central London, we never really venture west. My other half had a trawl on the internet looking for a nice pub / restaurant for lunch and the Cadogan Arms seemed to hit the spot.So we arrived there at 1.30pm and were immediately greeted by one of the most charming and fabulous members of staff who has ever attended us.. I didn't get her name, but she's a blonde, Aussie lass, and she was utterly charming. Friendly, helpful and the pub Must.Keep.Her.At.All.Costs!So on to the food. Scallops and chicken for a starter. I didn't think that scallops and fried chicken would go together on the same plate. But it does. And it's great and I'm going to try to recreate this dish from M&S on the way home tonight.Main dish - the steak. Served blue. And it was blue which was unusual. Usually when you ask for it blue, you get it rare. But this was blue. And it was gorgeous. The steak just fell off the bone and we eat every single bit of it.Pudding - Salted caramel ice cream for pudding, and together with two bottles of wine, we waddled out of there two hours later. Thanks Cadogan Arms for a great birthday lunch.

I had high hopes for Sunday lunch at The Cadogan Arms which is situated on Chelsea's King Road after reading many positive reviews on Trip Advisor. Sadly, the meal was a massive let down. My starter of scallops on a bed of chopped apples and celery was both uninspiring and utterly tasteless. Naturally, I went for the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding for my main course. The beef was overcooked and as tough as an old leather boot. The carrots and roasted parsnips were under cooked and under seasoned. If the chef is incapable of roasting and seasoning vegetables correctly, serious questions should be asked about his competence in the kitchen. We didn't risk going for a dessert as we were eager to leave. People who label The Cadogan Arms as a gastro pub are deluded. Sure, it has a gastro pub themed menu but the execution of the dishes I endured during my lunch were no better than the microwaved fayre at my local Wetherspoons. It's on the Tastecard for a reason. The food simply isn't up to the standard I expect from a gastro pub. In fact, it's far, far worse.

Really good Sunday lunch, fillet cod is brilliant, get 50% off with taste card! This is a lovely find in Chelsea, a short walk away from the river. Service is brilliant and great if you're coming from watching a movie in the nearby Cineworld. A tad expensive for wine, nearly 18 pounds for 2 glasses!

I was recommended to try this pub and was not disappointed. It's an old-fashioned pub in Kings Road, which does not try to compete as a bar with the trendy bars on Kings Road. But it does compete when it comes to food. I was told that all ingredients are personally sourced by the chefs and this was true. I had an outstanding lobster cooked in garlic butter with chips, salad, bread and butter. I would count this is as the best lobster I have ever eaten. Service was good and attentive. The array of stuffed animal heads on the walls is a bit odd when eating, but overall I was very impressed

We picked this pub for a nice early dinner. The service seemed pretty good and our starters and mains arrived at the same time which is always a welcome occurrence. However I was shocked to see my mains arrive with a long spirally wire (it looked like something used to clean pots with) poking two inches out of my ale battered fish. I was honestly surprised it hadn't been spotted before it was sent down from the kitchen. It wasn't busy at all so I can't put that lack of care down to a hectic kitchen - just failure to care enough about how the food is being prepared. I then had to wait what felt like an age for a replacement meal, during that time I had a half hearted 'apology' from what I guess was a senior staff member. The food finally came and it honestly looked like the same piece of fish with the wire extracted and refried to the hide exit point. By then my fired was already on her last mouthfuls and I had half lost my appetite and couldn't enjoy a very average meal. All in all, it's such a shame that such a well located and thoughtfully decorated pub doesn't deliver on where it really matters. I certainly can't see any reason to rush back there anytime soon.

Our first visit to the Cadogan Arms, celebrating a family get together and overall very disappointed.Very poor value for money, and service was less than attentive. Several of us in the table of 7 had the same meal which came in different proportions and desserts especially were less than impressive. The knickerbocker glory ice cream was an awful mess which looked far less than the standard expected, and no apple or grapes served with the cheeseboard. The waitress didn't have any idea of the cheddar clearly being smoked cheese, when it was advertised on the menu as regular farmhouse cheddar.

Never been one for contributing to online reviews but the service at this place was a joke. Just popped in for a nightcap after a lovely meal on a quite Monday night down the road. The bar man had a very odd way about him which was a strong hint at what was to come - a bit flouncy and arrogant. I've done my time working in a pub - be nice, serve the customer. Easy? Not for this bell end.He took an age to serve my girlfriend her Bailey's and put it on the till before finally asking me if that was all. I said I'd like a drink as well. He then poured the double whiskey into the used Bailey's measurer and then offered me the cloudy drink. In spite of the criminal waste of booze and his knobby I'm-to-good-to-be-a-barman-but-I-still-can't-do-it properly behaviour , I politey asked for a clean one. Anyway....it went on like this for a bit but I'm bored now. Eventually, got my drink. Might've been funny if I wasn't 12 quid down after the experience. What an absolute tool of a bloke!

We've visited the Cadogan a couple of times now for weekend lunches...and have not been disapointed. I would say it's the best proper pub on the King's Road...with a difference ! The staff here are very friendly and welcoming wether you're just calling in for a drink or two or for a meal. If you are eating it's best to book though as it's very popular. And you can eat here very reasonably. We had sunday lunch here yesterday...a traditional sunday lunch, two of us had beef and one ordered the pork. The beef was delicious,as was the pork we were told...proper roast potatoes, real gravy and lovely fresh vegatables..the cauliflower cheese was particularly good. Desserts of an unusual strawberry cheesecake with basil ice cream and also the pistacio ice cream were gorgeous. Service excellent,a friendly relaxing ambience...love the decor too. Family friendly. Also there is a function room upstairs. Will most definately visit the Cadogan again when in the area next. Recommended.

Visited in a group of 6 for a late Sunday lunch. The pub-restaurant is bright and airy, has a great pool room upstairs - you can hire the whole place for functions. Most of us had roast beef and yorkshire pud - the meat was tender and tasty, and a generous portion. For dessert we had delicious rhubarb and ginger crumble (delicious and a large portion - some shared), chocolate cheesecake, also very good. Service was courteous and attentive, but never intrusive. When we arrived, there was a rather noisy table near us, so we had to be noisy too to hear one another, but later on it quietened down. A thoroughly enjoyable meal, great surroundings right on the Kings Road - and became fantastic value thanks to Tastecard. But even without the card, reasonable prices for London. We will be back!

We went here primarily for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent as was the beer. The pub is about a mile from Stamford Bridge and, given that it was a match day, it got a bit lively when yhe opposing fans popped in for a pre match beer. I was a bit concerned as it was West Ham - but a brief rendition of a football chant and they were off to see their team lose. There are pool tables upstairs which are both good value and quality. I would go back for more.

Went there for a quick drink after dinner. Wasn't even acknowledged by the barman for at least 10mins. He was more interested in talking to a couple at the front of the bar rather than serving anyone else. When he eventually served us, he was still more interested in talking to the couple than getting our drinks. Whatever pub u go into I don't expect to be treated like that. Especially when paying so much for a drink. If you want to be ignored go here!No atmosphere!!

We've eaten here before; almost exactly a year ago in fact, and it was superb. Then, we had lovely pheasant and gorgeous sea bream. We enjoyed it hugely. Not this time. I had a rare breed rib eye steak with chips, béarnaise, bone marrow jus and water cress, and while the steak was quite good, the rest of it was, well, almost entirely tasteless. The chips ('triple cooked hand cut') were clearly reheats, as they were as hard as glass, the béarnaise and jus were as flavoursome as a glass of water, and the watercress was limp and tired. My wife's baked cod with mussel and clam pearl risotto was much worse; the fish was terribly overdone, while the risotto was absolutely drenched in garlic, to the point where you could taste very little else. The pearl barley was weird, some of it cooked to a mush, some underdone. The dessert, a rhubarb crumble and cinnamon ice cream, was like something a first year catering student failed an exam with, all lukewarm stodge with very little fruit, and ersatz ice cream that was no better than something with 'Economy' written on it from Lidl. The service was good, and they listened and apologised when we listed our concerns, but nothing was actually done about it. We didn't leave a tip.For £63 for two mains, a dessert, and two pints of Adnam (which was, it has to be said, lovely), you do expect better than this.

I'm a bit surprised to see such a small amount of reviews on this place. I guess it might be overlooked due to it's proximity to more well-known restaurants up and down King's Road. This is far from your typical London pub. The wait staff is tremendously inviting and the selection of beers on tap is extensive. The food is also excellent here; try the bangers and mash. My recommendation is to visit during a Chelsea match, as the place gets packed and they set up a huge projector to show the match. You'll be chanting the Chelsea songs before in no time.I've spent countless nights here and would recommend it to anyone visiting the King's Road area who wants an authentic experience at a true authentic London pub.

Decided to take a shopping trip down Kings Road for a little Christmas Shopping and stopped in here for lunch - thought I would try out Trip Advisor for my first review (my friends are addicted) The place was fairly empty, apart from someone doing the paper work next to me.The food was good pub grub, a nice fish and chips (for me) and a mushroom risotto for my better half. But we tried the black pudding scotch egg - gorgeous. If I had a complaint it was the real ale wasn't great... a little to lively (flat is better, gives a smooth head and is achieved through a proficient technique). But all in all a great lunch. Not very good, but not average either - just good!

The British Pub scene varies in quality from your average Roast-and-beer-type-outfit to full blown gastronomy. Cadogan Arms, situated in Mayfair, is somewhere slightly above the middle. The service is very good, the range of beer on tap is excellent and the food is lovely and fairly speedily served. If you're looking for a traditional roast or something a bit more varied, as is famed with London pubs, Cadogan Arms is definitely a goer.

This place is always busy, it tailors itself towards higher end clients by hiking up prices slightly. The beer is pretty pricey for a pint, this may not be accurate but I think a pint was around £3.80 to £4.00 which is steep. The addition of high leather back chairs I enjoyed and it has a smart but relaxed feel.

I had Sunday lunch here a couple of years ago and we had a good meal then. The interior of this pub is very charming and the service was very good, but the roast beef was tough and very disappointing. Maybe the meat was left over from my visit two years earlier. In any event, once one has a bad meal in a restaurant, the customer is not likely to return, and I won't either.
