The location and service was good. The fish and chips not as expected. No flavour and the fish was not deboned. Also the not much choice of sauce and dips.

I recently had a craving for fish and chips and ordered a portion here. This cost an unbelievable 15/16 pounds and I had a stomach ache and diarrhea for 3 days. Hands off! It also feels like mass production!

I'm really shocked by the good reviews, but this has to be the most unappetising fish and chips I've eaten in ages. The venue was heaving, and we were lucky to get a seat straight away. The fish and chips were £15, and such a small portion. The food came immediately but was warm, and the chicken wings were awful. The staff, however, was friendly, and I guess this place is always busy from the influx of tourists on southbank. Apart from the food market, county hall lacks some decent eateries, especially for kids. Bring back mac d's, far, far better than this place, and that's saying something.

In my personal and professional opinion, you’re better off using the money you would spend here and use it towards a flight to Edinburgh to order the same thing at Bertie’s on Victoria Street. For the same price you can get double the amount of food and TRIPLE the quality what they serve here. I went yesterday and saw the lady make my chicken burger with her bare hands. The chicken was dry, thankfully you can swallow it down with a £3 drink. The fish was also dry, looked and tasted like it had been sitting there all day waiting to be given to the next victim. Severely over priced, you would be better off eating the flyer they hand out the front. Ever heard the saying “quality of quantity”? Neither have they as they don’t give either of these

It felt unnecessary, especially as many places offer this as a courtesy. I hooe the management reconsiders this policy to provide a more customer friendly experience.

The food was really good. Not oily. My family of 4 all enjoyed it. The only thing is there are no prices on the boards. My fish and and chips with a drink was about £20. Which isn't bad for london prices but it would have been good to know 1st. Apart from that, it was good. The atmosphere was nice and the staff where friendly.

Went here to get a quick snack before going to the London Eye. The place is packed so seating is very tight and there is little room. We paid £60 for 5 meals (without beverages) which I find quite expensive compared to the food. The fish is without vinegar and isn't salted, so are the chips. The veggie burger is dry and the sausage is mushy. From that much money you should be able to make actual authentic food. Service was good, the food is ready right-away and the paintings are quite nice. I wouldn't recommend it though if you are looking for actual authentic fish&chips.

This is the busiest place to eat on holidays. Place seems to be crammed with so many people in one place. Everyone wants to grab a place to eat something after a tiring day out. It's a nice to grab a quick bite.

The waiters were in a bad mood because the place was very busy, they served quickly, the fish is delicious but lacks flavor, and they don't have tartar sauce, the coleslaw tastes like plastic, and it is very expensive, maybe because it is right in front of the restaurant. london eye, but it is very expensive for what it is.

Oily and overpriced tourist trap situated by London Dungeon and Seaworld. Poor quality and pricing to be expected. Place is busy so although food is precooked it’s not bad because of this but the ingredients are bad quality eg sub standard chicken and chips with 5-6 “bad” pieces per portion. Immediately seated on a shared table. Order food at till. Cost is around £15 for small portion of chicken, chips and non alcoholic drink. Only upsides were (1) served quickly (2) did not have stomach issues afterwards

Very well located and decorated place, where you can eat the typical fish and chips, with very good views. The waitress who served us, Hayat, brought us everything super fast and was very attentive, without a doubt a place to repeat.

I tried the fish and chips and spicy chicken wings here. While they claim to serve halal food, the wings were okay, but the fish was disappointing. Prices weren’t displayed anywhere except at the till after billing, which felt unclear. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Crowded, loud, average food, but also above average expensive compared to normal “good” local ones. Everyone was friendly. There is no complaint about that. You stop briefly at the entrance and are assigned a space for the number of people. It's extremely cramped, with hardly any room for the person sitting next to you at the back. The two of us had a table for four. Putting your jacket over the chair was quite a challenge so as not to disturb the person behind you. Starting it would have been too warm. We were informed that we had to order at the counter and collect the food/drink. OK. Got up again and followed instructions. Soft fries with a breaded fish or a piece of breaded chicken on top - where the breaded part clearly towered over the contents. During the meal, the table for 4 was suddenly separated and moved 1.5 cm so that there was room for 2 more. Even the 1.5 cm was no longer possible to be able to eat properly in the already narrow space. We escaped - luckily the drinks were cans and could be taken with us. We chalk it up as a tourist trap. Ready

Obviously pretty expend but thats what you get for going to a cafe close to the Eye - so no complaints here. Although packed, the staff found us a table super fast, went to order and loads of tills open and food arrived almost immediately. Pretty impressed to be honest. Clearly already prepared but that’s what I call fast food. High turnover means pretty fresh and hot too. (Also great with allergies)

Die Portion ist riesig, das rechtfertigt den Preis. Der Fisch und die Chips waren gut. An der Kasse wird man nach einer Sauce gefragt, die man sich sparen kann. Ich habe zwei (grün und braun, keine cheese?) dazu genommen. Die haben 5 Pound extra gekostet (dachte gehört dazu) und haben uns nicht geschmeckt. An den Tischen gibt es kostenlosen Ketchup in Hülle und Fülle. Es war gut besucht, aber nochmal würde ich dort nicht essen.

The worst meal of my life. They charge us £14 for each plate of fish and chips without a drink and no one will swallow that rubbish. The fish only tastes like batter, which was also quite hard, and had bones. The potatoes were unsalted and it was evident that they were not freshly made. I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy, the dogs they sold on the bridge looked much better.

This place is located close to London Eye. The food is already made, and you pretty much get your food as soon you pay for it. The food quality is poor, as I found the food (chicken nugget, fish and chips, and hotdog) very oily. I do not recommend going to this place even though your child has a tantrum over it.

Went into the baker street branch with my family and ordered the chicken wings with chips and steak pie with chips and was not nice at all. The chips were not fresh and didn't taste right and tasted oily looks like they are using same oil over and over again. The chicken wings is very bland and has not taste and the steak pie was horrible 90% pastry and the rest was gravy and one small steak bit in the pie.. was not fresh at all they must of had it for days. Bare in mind this was at 11am in the morning so there's so excuse of the food not being fresh. Also expensive nearly £30 and portions are small. The positive is that it looks the the restaurant from the outside and inside and is quite big but dont let that fool you. 1/10

£70 for three hotdogs with fries and three water bottles. Everything except for the water was gross. Inedible. Hot dog and fries taste Indistinguishable. No malt vinegar. No salt. Crowded noises and hot sitting room. For a tourist place next door to the London Eye this place is an England embarrassment.

Molto male, comodo per la posizione ma cibo pessimo. La cameriera alla cassa infastidita dai clienti, ragazzo all’entrata molto carino e cordiale. Purtroppo il cibo non è il massimo, patatine ripassate e riscaldate, hamburger riscaldato e carne dura. Prezzo decisamente alto per la qualità proposta. La posizione comoda perché sei a due passi dal London eye, e in attesa di salirci puoi stare seduta qua comodamente.

Me and my Two kids had a great time at this wonderful chip shop just outside the london eye on the river. I had the traditional cod and chip, finger licking nice. My kids had chicken burgers and cheese burgers with chips and there amazingly battered chicken wings. From the munite you walk into this place, it's buzzing with happy people greeted at the front is a lovely man I coudent thank enough was very good with the kids and found us seats even though it was very busy. As soon as you get to the table areas, there are loads of wonderful waitresses to see to your needs. The kids were so excited as there were kechop sachets full on the tables for their chips. Overall, it was a great experience. Kids coudent resist the amazing ice cream with coated cones with oreo and sprinkles filled with vanilla ice cream . Great people, great food , and great location. pretty good, we paid £28 for fish and chips, nuggets with chips and two waters. Both the fish and the nuggets were very crunchy and the portions were satisfying. The tables are quite close together and the climate is not the best, but overall good.

Considering the location of the restaurant, the prices are reasonable for London, as we have seen much higher prices even for Fish&Chips. Quickly prepared, the option to eat on the spot or take away. Large portions and the fish had no bones. The service is also very nice. Vegetarian burger option.

Went here with my 2 young children for a quick bite. Welcomed by staff at the door but extremely poor service received by female on the ordering till. Rolled her eyes at us even before I'd said a word before ordering. Air of racism in the air from her. A simple request to see the difference between a tray and newspaper resulted in her huffing and puffing with a rude attitude. Shows me the newspaper for 1 second and then expecting me to decide. When asked to show me properly, she responded with I've already shown you. Shop wasn't even busy. No surprises, I told her to keep her attitude and walked out without ordering. Avoid!

Nosotros fuimos a comprar uno por la tradición, aunque no teníamos muchas expectativas. El hombre amable, pero sin saber español. Algo caro, estaba bueno, te quita el hambre (no es tampoco gran cosa). Es básicamente pescado empanado(se desconoce su procedencia), acompañado de grandes patatas fritas. Después nos fuimos a comer. Está bien porque puedes coger la salsa, condimentos y cubiertos que quieras. Era un puesto de calle, al lado de la Torre (hay muchos bancos para sentarse). Recomendable por la gracia de comerlo, pero para compartir.

Food was ok but the chips was dry and hard, very overpriced £2.95 for a can of coke really can’t warrant that price. Fish and chips was expensive to add insult to injury was served in a cardboard box with wooden knives a forks if you are going to charge those prices at least have a plate and a proper knife and fork. The restaurant was crammed with tables to the point of no breathing space, a table of six and four was inches from each other so no personal space. The restaurant staff was gracious but overwhelmed and over worked especially the table staff/cleaners due to the amount of tables trying to be squeezed in hardly any room to move for customers and staff alike. I would say saving grace was the decent view of London if you are positioned in the right place within the restaurant. But the prices need to be addressed especially if you are using take away plates and cutlery in the dining area. I would probably say it’s worth the visit but be prepared for open wallet surgery as it is very expensive.

Ordered sausage and chips and chicken and chips. Sausage was pretty good. Chicken was average. Chips were made from bad quality potatoes and did not taste good. I had to pick out several pieces of ‘bad’ chips from my medium-sized portion. I can understand the prices being relatively expensive due to the location but the chip quality needs improved urgently. The Food is prepared beforehand so it is pretty quickly served. We have basic fish and chips and it wasn’t nothing special. I was a bit tasteless and I would definitely recommend to buy some kind of sauce with it.

First of all, if your name is gonna be “Great British Fish and Chips,” you have to be at least good at making fish and chips. I mean, come on. The food is average, little to no flavor, and it seems that it is already precooked. If the food was cheap, it would be ok. But it’s expensive; almost 15 pounds for a pre-cooked meal. I don’t recommend coming here, but if you’re just looking for easy, quick food this place is ok at best.

We saw this right next to the London eye to be honest we presumed it was just a tourist trap with minimal food but we were wrong. The service was very fast the food was great I watched the tables being cleared immediately after the lazy tourists sitting there left 3 trays and other rubbish on the tables. The staff then thoroughly cleaned all of the table surfaces every time. One ‘novelty’ being hand signals from the entrance to staff members further down the area to push the required number of tables and chairs together before the customer(s) got to the table. The fish was large and flakey did not taste frozen and the batter crispy. We also had mushy peas but I’m not an expert on real mushy peas but they tasted great. Chips were well cooked and soft inside. Going back today to try the pie and chips.
