I really like visiting Wetherspoon, but this one has some staff that smell bad, also homeless people inside asking for food and money, one of them put his hand in my plate

Big up Brixton Spoons. Staff here are always amicable and do a great job, managers included, all feels pretty zen which is nice to see. Real ale (while sparkled) is served to a reasonably decent standard, though 1 star deducted as you've got to wait until the fests start to get anything other than Doom Bar/Pride/Abbots/Sambooks. I reckon if you kept one of the cask lines as a revolving real ale you'd get some more thirsty punters through the door. Or Jaipur or Oakham!

Didn't order food but the drinks service was great

A standard Wetherspoons pub with a good range of drinks at a very reasonable price. There is not a massive amount of seating room, especially when there are music events occurring at the nearby venues.

Pre show drinks were flowing brilliant atmosphere great value for money. Experienced bar staff & security!

Another good Spoons just around the corner from Brixton station, found it a bit narrow and quite busy.

Good "Spoons" pub in the middle of Brixton. Busy atmosphere. Cheap beer, especially the special offers.

My local Spoons. Does what it says on the tin. Often have to queue Friday/Saturday nights.

Friendly, affable staff, in other ways average overall. They need to actively monitor and control casual usage of the toilets at the back far more diligently.

Very community driven and friendly pub. Everyone seems to know everyone there. As a first-timer, people were so welcoming. Nice and clean. Staff are very helpful and pleasant.

Great for pre concert drinks at the Academy. Unlike most Spoons the toilets are 3 miles away with flights and flights of stairs. Very quick table service too and kept clean

Un pub que no sirve cerveza de barril es bastante malo, pero uno que no se molesten en dar la vuelta al cartel es aún peor. No volveremos a visitarlo nunca más. Total pérdida de tiempo.

Is what you'd expect, cheap beer Monday's, £2-99 pint of Guinness. I would watch my coat and or bag depending on time of day. Can be a it dodge at times I've been in there, just keep your wits about you and you should be fine.

Very Busy place cool atmosphere too

Good value for money! But nothing that special, junior staff are friendly. Managers less so! Great beers, average wines! Bring back the Sunday roasts!

They are very friendly but they don't offer you the deals they have on drinks before you pay.

Usual Wetherspoon food. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips. Had a non acholic cider for the first time. Tasted quite nice actually. Cozy booth created a lovely atmosphere for a catch up with the ladies.

Great experience. Service was excellent and good was the right portion and delicious. Very wide spread of food option. Sure to have something for everyone.

Met some great people the door security was very nice and the drinks are reasonably priced.

It’s a spoons in a rough area…. You know what to expect…. I’ve knocked a star off as they wouldn’t serve my wife at 18:05 as we had our kids with us and kids aren’t welcome after 18:00

pleasant Saturday afternoon, early pm. Staff worked very hard. Drinks less than half price of Effra up the road. all customers seemed to have a good time, though a tad noisy as very busy.

We didn’t eat so can’t comment on food but we did arrive late and were offered last drinks at our table two minutes before the bar closed. Kicked out with full pints only 5 minutes later and given the option to only neck them (which we didn’t) and no option of plastics. £25 round that we ended up leaving on the table.

Staff are actually always incredible, really polite and decent service. A home from home 🐝

One of the better Spoons I've been to recently. Staff pleasant and friendly, tables clean and food served as described on the menu. Toilets could have done with a little attention- but all in all not a bad experience.

One of the best places to go in brixton. The staff are absolutely amazing and so considerate. Dominique and all of her colleagues that I have got to know are exceptional at what they do and I really rate it for such a amazing place. Thank you so much guys. Great little weatherspoons and has a local pub feel. No disabled access to toilets though but the locals are more than happy to help.

Find good price for normal Beer.

Can get busy at times always friendly staff the chicken wings are a must with hot sauce not as clean as other branches, you may have to wait for your online orders, sometimes not picked up on the system.

A little overpriced for a spoons, sadly. Others are quite a bit cheaper on the drinks

rude waiter; He pours a pint and immediately expels you from the bar but also from its surroundings. First time I've seen that attitude in London, especially because the place was full and the bar empty.

Far too busy and hot for me, very loud as well, drank my Pepsi up as quickly as I could and left! It was a Friday, but I hadn't expected it to be quite so packed

I used to be slightly wary of this place. Went in recently on the off chance, and it was way better than I expected. Clean, bright and largely well behaved. Nice staff and mostly, locals. Only one weirdo let the side down ever so slightly, but then what do you expect?!

Food wasn't that great, I've had burgers in many wetherspoons and this one was by far the worst burger. Drinks were okay and seating area was okay. Was just the food.

I love the food at Wetherspoons Brixton, the taste is excellent, and my food always gets served promptly, the portions are right, and the staff is friendly even if they are busy they always try to do everything at high standards. Don't forget the drinks too…many different drinks for a great price!! Highly recommended…

Great beer and a fair selection of great beer. Very tasty and fresh beer with nice staff and great beer. Great place to stop in for a beer if you're in the area. I had beer, it was great, think I'll go for the beer next time though as it looked particularly great.

I’m shocked at the ratings for this place but given that Londoners have been conditioned to accept terrible copy and paste chain pubs as something positive whilst the last remnants of individuality disappear from the city, maybe it’s not surprising. Saying that, the smell and dirt of the place alongside the clientele must make The Beehive one of the worst pubs in the city?

A place with a great atmosphere! A large selection of craft beers, delicious haze 😇. Food at a very good price and very tasty - Fish and chips - our favorite! Phenomenal, friendly service, helpful people who make the atmosphere in the pub much nicer - great people! We will definitely visit again!

Speechless how in the earth this could be a pizza. If you can’t make a pizza don’t sell it and don’t scam people.

Very convenient as its in the south terminal which is right by the train station and local and national buses. It's also before security so anyone can use it. Menu prices are a bit more than a high street pub but still reasonable. Service is also fast and there are normally tables available.

Chef can't make poached eggs.this place is rubbish and better to avoid.

Not a huge fan of Wetherspoons but this place does the area a wonderful service. It’s slightly down-at-heel, and rather battered around the edges - rather like this area of Brixton! But it has the required range of beer and lagers. Haven’t had the food but it’s the usual Spoons’ menu. A reliable bolt hole!

A fairly glum Spoons, handy for the station. The usual sticky tables and saddo's without a drink watching noisy clips on their phones, unaware of the irritation they cause to all and sundry. However the service was good, the ale was on good form and it cost a pittance - which is why I popped in! 😊

Don't usually have to pay to swap an item on my breakfast but at this particular pub I did for some reason . I was then hurried to make my order. Breakfast then came as I sat down at my table which was a total of 1 minute at most which I also found unusual.

worst food I've ever had at a wetherspoon. pizza had bits of rocks or stone as if it fell on the floor, but didn't look like it did. the nachos were awful especially the salsa. the picture shows exactly what I mean. looked as if the salsa was mixed with water and and tasted more like ketchup. A month later. It's still pathetic. Have my pizza and didn't even cut it.

Barman from Brum was fantastic. Extremely busy difficult to find a table and when we did needed cleaning. Great atmosphere in there Service was excellent.

Very disappointing, I am giving it zero star because the food was terrible,the table was dirty no one came to clean it so I had to do it myself, the food was cold. I ordered a vegan meal, which was sopose to be a burger in a bun with chips, no salad with the burger, and I was told there was salad with it. My friend ordered a mixed grill, and that was not cooked properly and was cold, so we had no lunch. The place is shameless, very dirty, and no one seems to care. Bad experience
