The best restaurants serving British food in London

Visité la taberna Globe el domingo 20 de abril de 2025 , eran alrededor de las 9 : 30 pm, había alrededor de 20 personas en el pub. Había una gran selección de música de los años 80 que se estaba tocando, creo que el domingo por la noche debería ser una noche de 80 sabia música en The Globe, visitó este pub en diferentes noches durante la semana y la música era apenas audible, tocando música que nadie quería escuchar, debería conseguir una máquina de discos, el personal muy amable, un gran agradecimiento a Martina, Christian y Shannon por hacerme sentir muy bienvenido, sin duda visitaré este pub de nuevo, traer de vuelta a la ciudad.

The rooms do need some attention in terms of maintenance, the location is nice close to the station. The food is good

We went for Sunday lunch and were quickly seated at our reserved table. After ordering drinks, only half showed up. It took another 10 minutes before the server returned for the food order, and we had to remind them about the missing drinks. The excuse was that the bar was busy, but when one of the drinks finally arrived, it was just a can pulled from the fridge—something that clearly shouldn't have taken 10 minutes. It was obvious they had simply forgotten. The food was no better. Although the portions looked big, the roast chicken was dry, and the porchetta was a sad, thin slice, also dry and missing both apple sauce and proper gravy. Despite three people ordering roasts, we were given only one small gravy boat to share, which was ridiculous. I won’t be coming back. The food and service were both poor, and the prices are a complete joke for what you actually get. It’s clear they’re relying on the pub’s location to justify the inflated costs, not the quality. Definitely not worth it.

Went here for my daughter’s birthday had a great time. Leah was great. Very child friendly. Definitely coming back again.

Excellent « Sunday roast ». Belle qualité des produits fait maison. Compter environ £50 par personne pour le complet : starter +main+dessert and a drink. Réservation quasi obligatoire.

I was in with my family for Sunday Lunch, all the staff and mangers were attentive and friendly. The food was lovely and Josh was a big help!

Great pub up the hill from Chalk Farm. It’s far away enough from the touristy busyness of Camden, but still nicely walkable to get a more friendly local feel. Staff are friendly and having Mahou on tap is a great bonus. The decor is eclectic and interesting, with a pool table on offer too and live music on certain nights. The food menu of burgers, roasts and a few classics looks good at reasonable prices. Not tried it but will certainly return to do so in future. Worth a little trip up the hill from the main drag.

Stopped in while walking past, mainly out of curiosity, had some bar snacks, which were lovely, the team were great and couldn't have been more welcoming, they seemed happy and worked well together.

Popular Wetherspoon. Always busy. Very cheap real ale, £1.99 a pint.

He estado en este pub un par de veces, pero me sorprendió el trato recibido hoy. Los últimos pedidos fueron llamados a las 11 pm y a partir de las 11 . A la 01 PM el personal de seguridad estaba molestando a la gente para que se fuera de una manera agresiva e intimidatoria. A partir del 11. 05 pm básicamente te amenazan con irte. Como pub que pretende ser un pub británico tradicional pensé que aceptarían el concepto de 10-15 minutos de “tiempo de copas”, pero no, se han convertido en otra copia plástica de las cosas de las que solíamos estar orgullosos. Mantente alejado y busca lugares que demuestren que respetan tanto sus orígenes como a sus clientes.

Ir puede ser brillante, pero no es donde dice el mapa en la estación de metro Temple. Está a kilómetros de distancia río abajo en Greenwich. El sitio web del pub dice Greenwich, pero Tripadvisor lo pone en el Támesis por templo. Muy frustrante cuando tienes hambre de almorzar y ganas de un buen pub, y después de una búsqueda y llamada telefónica te encuentras lejos.

Fuimos a un velatorio. La comida era terrible. Tenía un sándwich de ternera con pan de centeno. El pan no era de centeno, era blanco y rancio y estaba tan sofocado en mostaza que no se saboreaba ningún relleno. No recomendaría este lugar a nadie para comer. La joven que nos atendió era muy buena y me dio pena que trabajara en un lugar como este.

Been craving Southern food, this did not disappoint

The kitchen isn't open at the moment. It may reopen in the Summer according to some staff members. The staff is very friendly. Decent options for drinks, can never go wrong with a Guinness. I can get some work done here too, since the place is huge with an open terrace/patio.
