Great service and location. Only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin and I kept getting woken up by the neighbors

Horrible service, rude staff, flat beer. Popped in for after-work pint. Bartender (tall, bald) was pointlessly arguing with a customer while ignoring 3-4 customers at the bar. Other staffers roaming about but not busy. Dirty glasses on all the tables. Bald bartender seemed to deliberately ignore customers, turning his back while looking out the corner of his eye, then helping himself to a bottle of water. Then starts shouting at an employee in 2 languages. Finally, one female staff, who seems to be the only one pouring pints, pours me a flat beer. Bald guy then just leaves the bar to go vape. First and last visit!

Food experience !!! Roast was not roasting… clearly a microwaved meal made to look the part. Bisto gravy instead of red wine gravy.. waiter blatantly lied to cover up. Ready made cut meat, packet veg! Zap zap zap away… Expensive. Unfortunately not again.

The hotel is great, located above a pub. It has a lot of history and is modern and new or old furnished. The rooms are small, very clean and cozy. The view of the busy street with the famous double-decker buses and Waterloo station is great. It's not overly loud either. Normal for a big city. Breakfast is traditionally English served in the pub. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Everything really worked really well and we felt very comfortable and would love to come back. The connection to the subway and bus is great. You can also reach many sights on foot.

Very good hotel, very friendly, always attentive to everything. The facilities are perfect, the standard beds are a little small and in winter it would be convenient to have a portable heater since we feel a little cold. Otherwise everything is PERFECT

Qué pub tan encantador. Muy acogedor conoció a Marc que era muy servicial, nos mostró alrededor nos dio algunos consejos. Tuvimos almuerzo el domingo sin duda recomiendo probar. Vinimos de fuera Cardiff tomamos fotos de Pub y tuvimos una lección de historia sobre pinturas. No lo hice no era un hotel, pero sin duda reservaremos a nuestro regreso. One of the waitresses was really rude and unprofessional tonight towards me because the staff took my order twice. We payed £13 for a „mocktail“ that was just mostly tonic water.

We flew from the US and wanted to stay a couple days before our cruise. We flew into Heathrow and took the train to Paddington. Train to Waterloo from there because we wanted to take the Southwestern to Southampton where the ship departed. Super great location across the street from Waterloo Station. Easy walking to Westminster Abbey and we walked to the Theater to see Phantom of the opera. Food and drink are excellent and even London Pride in the mini fridge for free. Awesome breakfast if you choose to purchase. Best croissants ever! Even ear plugs next to bed if the trains get to be much but we were fine. Great stay!

I won't talk about the hotel because I haven't tested it, but about the pub. I had a delicious burger and good sized fries there. The steak was cooked in a way that it melted in the mouth, it was very pleasant. What is common to all pubs is that we have to go around to ask for food while the waiters are available, from our French point of view that takes away the character of an establishment like this. After. There is a very beautiful fresco on the ceiling of the Battle of Waterloo.

La elección del desayuno es excelente y el hecho de que disfrute de un descuento del 15% en alimentos y bebidas durante su estancia es impresionante. We spent 4 nights here and we were so impressed. The staff were friendly and helpful - special shout out to Chris, Anastasia and Robbie. The breakfast choice is excellent and the fact that you enjoy a 15% discount on food and drinks during your stay is awesome. The location is brilliant, as are the toiletries. The bed was super comfortable and the linen was nice. Looking for a place to stay in London- look no further!

You can't expect that much from a hostel for ~23 NZD. Location is great - parking spaces are a bit rare. The 4-bed room is simply furnished, typical of a hostel, and the bathroom in the room is a bit old, but for $23, or not even two beers a night, you can't criticize it. The cuisine, however, varies from “interesting” on good days to “almost health-endangering” on less good days. I haven't had good days in the kitchen. In the fully equipped kitchen, pots and pans sit on the stove unwashed for days and dishes pile up next to and in the sinks. If you don't mind this, you can look forward to inexpensive nights in a good location near the harbor.

I was forced to pay in EUR when paying by card, which made the stay 30 - 40 EUR more expensive. Never again!

Can’t fault The Wellington. The staff are so attentive even though it can be very busy at times. Rooms are clean and have great facilities. Lovely food and drink!

Talking purely about the hotel: Location is fantastic to visit London, but the rooms are horrible, small, and extremely noisy. You can hear the other guests and the trains passing by less than 2 meters away from your window. Really difficult to sleep here.

Es un pub para tomar una copa y A) charlar con amigos, estar) ver un poco de deporte (tal vez A y estar) , o C) escuchar música muy alta, y D) ver al personal tener un momento muy divertido juntos! ¡Si piensas en A y ser no vayas a The Wellington; si piensas en C y D, The Wellington es perfecto para ti! Realmente no entiendo por qué los pubs piensan que es necesario tocar música muy alta, ¿alguien va a un pub a escuchar lo que es, la lista de reproducción aleatoria de alguien? Personal, pásalo bien, pero cuando la gente esté esperando en el bar, sírvelos. Al final, nos rendimos y fuimos a The Hole in the Wall, a 2 minutos. Podríamos ver rugby y tener una charla, ¡de eso se trata un pub! Salud!

Unfortunately, hotel pictures don't quite meet expectations. Unfortunately, the condition of the bathroom wasn't that good and the hotel is opposite Waterloo Station - very good access, but also noisy at night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are rather small, but it's enough to sleep, even if the bed is only 1.40m wide.

La ubicación es fantástica. Literalmente a 2 minutos de la estación de Waterloo. La entrada es un poco cansado y Fullers necesitan invertir un poco de dinero en las alfombras de la escalera, pero una vez que estuvimos en nuestra habitación era cómodo y limpio. La ducha era preciosa y el baño siempre cálido. La habitación principal está en el lado pequeño y yo diría que es un montón de dinero para una habitación extremadamente pequeña, pero la ubicación es superior a esto. El desayuno era delicioso y muy buenas opciones. Hay ruido de tráfico pero se proporcionan auriculares y con estos en dormí profundamente.

Excellent breakfast!!!! Ideal to start a day with a lot of activity. Variety. Small bathroom, but everything very good! The shower is always hot with flow. Good location.

Qué increíble hallazgo, pedimos un plato compartido y dos copas de vino y esperábamos hacer el postre ya que menos de 30 libras parecía ligero para suficiente comida para dos personas hambrientas. La comida era genial dos salchichas, unos 8 scampi desmigados y 20 bocados de pescado, patatas fritas y pan tanto que no pudimos terminarlo pero lo intentamos. Las opciones de vino eran ligeras pero adecuadas, la decoración era tradicional y el personal era amable y servicial. Puedo vernos comiendo allí un par de veces más. Quizá tengamos sitio para el postre la próxima vez.

Classico pub con tavoli in legno, servizio al banco e TV sullo sport. Molto carini gli affreschi sul soffitto che riguardano Wellington e Napoleone. Buona scelta di birre, avventori sia locali che turisti.

Lovely staff, accommodated for us being woefully late. Be warned if you're a person who has broad shoulders, a double room is NOT a double bed, good complimentary beers to make up for non ventilated room. Breakfast was very good, thanks!

The burger and fries at £19.95 was very pricey for a bog standard burger. The char marks were good and tasty. The double fried chips were excellent. I wouldn’t order it again though. I’d sooner pay “that” price for a burger made at a burger restaurant. Pubs by and large can’t do burgers. This proves it.

We stayed here visiting from N.Z. excellent location to stay. Kind and friendly staff, breakfast was excellent,Robbie and Chris. We look forward to staying with you on our return journey back to N.Z Many thanks, K&L

Ahora tiene música a todo volumen, precios desorbitados y servicio indiferente. Si desea un pub más tradicional con un servicio amable, háganse un favor y diríjanse a The Windmill en The Cut.

A warm welcome in the pub on arrival, with clear communication and assistance. Breakfast was good too, with a good selection and made to order. We were also welcome to loiter despite the pub being officially closed. The room was well stocked with a good variety of included items to drink. Everything worked as it should and was clean, with all the useful extra touches, like a shower cap (biodegradable too) and tissues. Negatives: a little mould around the plug in the bathroom. No lift up the 3 flights of stairs but this was communicated prior to booking. The wind rattled the windows and doors. No spare pillows or blankets. The location was excellent for seeing a show in the West End and the overall experience was great so would consider rebooking if/when needed.

The rooms are quite small, which is ok. Unfortunately the bed was 1.40 cm too small for two people and the bathroom wasn't particularly clean. Furthermore, the window only opened slightly, which made it super warm at night. But location is great. Right at the train station, therefore loud but central, two supermarkets and various restaurants nearby. Staff was nice, breakfast was good too. Ok for the budget.

Only stopped for drinks as the food prices were.... well London. Burger and chips was 20 quid so we decided not to bother. Staff were decent and venue handy for Waterloo Station which is why we chose it.

Le personnel est vraiment très gentil et compréhensif, le pub sous l’hôtel est très beau, mais la chambre était très petite avec aucune prise près du lit ni de prise adaptée aux européennes, et le métro passait à 5 mètres de la fenêtre, ce qui est très bruyant.

Everything went well. On 25th December, everything was closed and the staff helped us and even give us a little gift, because it was Christmas :) That was very nice. Oh and the fish and chips are very good too :)

Pretty damn handy to Waterloo station

No es un hotel, es un bar con habitaciones. Se oferta como un hotel, pero no tiene recepción, venimos antes de la hora de entrada para dejar las maletas y nos encontramos con que estaba todo cerrado (ya que al ser bar abre a partir de cierta hora) un hombre que nos vió desde dentro nos hizo el gesto de cerrado, lo cual me pareció penoso. Tuvimo que dejar las maletas en un locker cercano. Cuando llegamos porfin a la hora de poder entrar a la habitación, el bar estaba a reventar y donde estaba la recepción había gente tomando cervezas por lo cual, con la maletas, tuvimo que abrirnos camino hacia la "recepción" y como si tuviéramos que pedirnos una cervza, estuvimo esperando un rato hasta que nos atendió la camarera, un servicio horrible... Sobre la habitación no nos costo barato, aunque la ubicación no sea mala, la habitación es muy ruidosa, se escucha la música del bar y como pasa el metro. En general una experiencia muy mala.

Amazing spacious pub and also hotel. Wide selection of drinks available and that's with the food also. Love the music in the background and the sports on the TVs. Highly recommend will be back for sure. 👍

We visited from Australia and stayed here for 4 nights. I forgot to take pictures of the room but we loved our stay here. It was a smaller sized room but perfect for what we needed it for which was to sleep, housekeeping attend to the rooms everyday which was great on the pubs part. The bed was a bit hard and pillows could be better but it doesnt change the fact that we enjoyed our stay. Good value for money and breakfast is included which includes a buffet breakfast and a menu breakfast where the chef makes you a meal. Loved the crossaints and how thoughtful and helpful Mark and the team were. Thank you for the vodka drink for my 30th! We ate at the pub more times than anywhere else and loved every meal. Will definitely stay here again when we next visit London.

Wij hebben afgelopen drie dagen hier geslapen de locatie was goed ook de prijs wat wij er voor betaalde was goed elke dag Engels ontbijt of als je iets anders wou kon dat ook de kamer was niet echt groot maar alles was wel schoon van de pub hebben we geen last gehad en van de treinen ook niet echt fijne tijd gehad

It was a nice hotel, very quiet, only things was the climbing up the stairs which as i have with my legs and have to use a walking stick, i am greatful the member of staff who helped carry my bag upto my room, and the lack of bitter, i don't drink lager, real ale, cider or Guinness. There wasn't a lot outside those, but i did spice rum instead, so it wasn't a waste. But i did enjoy the stay.

This place is perfect, the staff is very nice, the rooms are very clean and nicely organised, and the breakfast is very tasty. And it is right next to waterloo station, and just few minutes walk to the river and beautiful london views. Would totally come back here! Thank you very much

Excellent value for money and close to most attractions just a short stroll away. The breakfast was plentiful with pastries and fresh fruit personally I recommend the English breakfast very tasty and not small portions. The room compact but guests well catered for

Filthy,hot,small, shower head unusable due to filth and limescale. No noise from the pub good, however double room on side touching distance from train tracks don't expect to get much sleep. Windows filthy no view as largest window has frosted cover only open couple of inches. Felt like a hostel. The side door you use if pub is closed under bridge next to a club had a lady throw up in front of me when having a cigarette, didn't feel safe going in our on my own. Lovely pub yet rooms not acceptable,for paying guests.

Follow Mr & Mrs R on TikTok. Such a disappointment! We were really looking forward to our ESB, can honestly say it was the worst pint of Fullers we have ever had. It took us an hour to drink it, never took that long before! It wasn’t the end of the barrel, it just wasn’t good, but with London prices, we drank it. No point in upsetting the staff as they were busy.

Great location directly opposite the train station. Room small but all that was needed. Check in is left hand side of the bar. It was busy when we arrived later at night, however, we were met and served very quickly in view of how busy the bar was. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

Popped in to watch the football close to where work was. Felt hungry at half time so ordered the fish and chips, for what you get the price is not justified. It comes out just under £20 for 1 portion, I was expecting a generous serving of chips and sides but it was very average. The atmosphere is good in the pub, plenty of TVs.

Told this was one of the best fish & chips. This is a true pub. I was hoping for mushy peas.

What a fantastic place to stay, rooms are small but well kitted out. Everything is walkable but for those who want the tube is directly opposite. Breakfast is like a five star hotel. Would definitely stay again.

I've stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Breakfast is incredible with something for everyone. I had dippy eggs and soldiers. The room is really comfy with everything you need. Staff super helpful!!

Extremely rude and inappropriate behaviour from someone who appeared to be acting as a supervisor. We were made to feel very unwelcome. Would never return and would ask the owner to look at how customers are treated as ultimately they can make or break the business

Für London einmaliges Hotel. Ideale Lage, ab hier kann man einen Großteil von Londons Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erkunden. Hotel hat ein originelles Ambiente, aufgestellte Mitarbeitende. Zimmer sind galt, wie in London üblich, eher klein, aber zweckmäßig und sauber. Essen und Drinks gut. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert.

Tolles Hotel, zwar ohne Klimaanlage aber es wurden uns mehrere Lüfter aufs Zimmer gebracht um die Hitze erträglich zu machen. Man kann vieles fußläufig erreichen und für alles andere hat man einen Bahnhof in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir werden das nächste mal definitiv wieder dort buchen.

Convenient location to the station, and quite an open layout. Service wasn't very welcoming or warm. However, my big issue is that the price of drinks is extortionate. I paid £20.80 for two glasses of house red wine. That's price gouging levels for their customers.

I can only comment on the food but holy cow! The Buffalo wings are the best (crunchy & sticky coating, juicy meat & oh so hot!!!!).

The Wellington is situated on Waterloo Road opposite the mainline station, under the railway bridge. I arrived there from a tour of Devon and Cornwall, so the contrast of environment was stark. I chose this hotel for the convenience of its location. I think the management are well aware of the limitations of their site as they offered complimentary ear plugs and chilled drinks in the room. I had help to carry my luggage which was great after a long day (there’s no lift) and I found the room to be spacious and really well equipped with plenty of towels and a full set of toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hand lotion). However the bathroom blind is slightly narrow for the window. You feel like you might be glimpsed from the busy high street when you’re sitting on the loo. Don’t worry about noise, although the building lacks double glazing the road noise dies down later in the evening and no noise drifts up from the downstairs pub. The shower has great pressure and is sparkling clean. The breakfast menu is the star of the show with options like eggs Benedict available as well as an English Breakfast. They offer left luggage which I made use of to take in a morning excursion before leaving London. I want to book again for a later break but they didn’t have any availability. I guess plenty more people are aware of this place.
