Food was average at best. The steak was dry and tasteless. Ribs were overcooked. Service was not great. Despite the restaurant being empty, we still had to wait 30 minutes for our order.

Good layout, especially if you are in a large crowd. Very attentive waitress staff serving at tables which is a good help. Pretty girls selling shots and bombs help the party mood also. Large external area for those who like to smoke. Generally great music.

We were celebrating our monthly staff party. Booked an area for 20 people of more and we got a table with 8 seats and not enough space around. One of the bartenders was walking our the bar with a Jagger bomb tray, charging £5 each, completly watery, didnt even taste like Jagger. Kept charging 12.5% service charge when there was no table service, there was problem with the barrels and we had to wait way too much... Canary Wharf area is just full of better pubs and bars than this one, so think twice before going in.

Went to Brodie’s bar for my friends leaving drinks. It was my first time there and I really liked the crowd and the bar itself. The staff were so polite, I particular thought Alex stood out! She was very attentive and quick. The only bad thing about the bar, and only an issue for the ladies , is that the toilet doors in the ladies were so close to the seat that it was difficult to close the door (regardless of your size). You had to be up against the back of the toilet just to get the door closed, it’s impossible to close it otherwise. As a general rule of thumb I’d like to touch very little in a toilet!

Brodie’s is at a very nice waterside location in Canary Wharf. We didn’t have an advanced reservation but received a friendly walk-in welcome and a good table. The menu had a limited amount of lighter vegetarian options. I chose Thai Green Vegetable Curry and totally enjoyed it. Points mostly for service, environment and location.

I went in to Brodie's a couple of days ago around lunchtime. They were clearly busy but still happy to serve and didn't make any mention of any delays of service. My friend was given a glass of water with lipstick from a previous customer - first obvious issue. I then had to chase the replacement. We then had some food ordered - half an hour later we are still waiting. We chase them asking what's going on. They said "Sorry for the delay... five minutes" fine... ten minutes pass and nothing! Apparently after a second chase for the food, we have to wait another five minutes, by this time, people who came in after us are already being served food... we ask for the bill, not once, but twice! Sorry but if you are busy, please advise customers don't just let them get frustrated! Far better to say something and we can have a pleasant experience elsewhere and not complain on these reviews. Clearly here the number one issue in the end wasn't so much refusing the food in the end and not getting served at all (food for lunch was ultimately bought in a nearby shop), but the lack of communication and organisation skills from the staff! The one alcoholic drink I did have didn't taste "normal" either.

We never made it after a staff member called me to tell me they were fully booked and that we would have to sit outside and have our dinner after it had been snowing that day! That was 4hrs before we were due to arrive. Not a good first impression for this restaurant I have been wanting to try for so long....shame.

I'm sure this could be a nice place for a drink, but it is not a restaurant. Yes, they have food, but no, they don't have tables. And when you reserve a table on OpenTable, you don't actually get a table, you get kind of an area near the bar. I felt mislead and we left to find an actual restaurant with real seats.

With the Christmas season upon us it is almost impossible to find somewhere for lunch in Canary Wharf if you have not booked. Wandered around earlier on and had almost given up when we saw tables here. Inside had been done up and it's mainly high tables. There were several office parties in and they had crackers and free fizz laid on We just had a quick bite to eat but service was good and food came quickly. Definitely was freshly cooked. Reasonable too compared to some of the other bars in the area. Loved the chicken strips!

Brodies is a chosen venue as it is about the only bar in canary wharf that does not get packed during a lunch time. It is the wrong side of the wharf in terms of the sun and is always a bit dull and drab. Beware, when you ask for a spirit they give you a double without saying anything. My friend said he was driving and did not want a double and pointed out that it was irresponsible to sell doubles under cover. The staff member became annoyed and was then very rude. Completely out of order and not expected. Not surprisingly it will become a little more emptier as we will not be going back.

Brodies has always been a favourite of mine whilst I was working in Canary Wharf - the music is always good, the staff are incredible friendly and welcoming and the drinks aren't overpriced like some other bars in the area (love their Happy Hour!!) I was looking for a venue to celebrate my 30th birthday and was very fortunate to be able to hire the entire venue exclusively on a Saturday. It was the best decision I made - I had close to 100 guests and all I've been hearing is what an amazing time everyone had. Leanne was wonderful in helping organise everything.. from the drinks, to the food menu and the DJ. I couldn't have asked for a better service - I gave her my requirements and she handled everything for me! I would highly recommend Brodie's, not just for a night out after work but also as a venue for your next party.. It's a hidden gem!

Hard to find somewhere in Canary Wharf at lunchtime that's not busting at the seams with noisy drinkers, or that's stupidly out of my price range (just because salaries are higher doesn't mean we want to put it all back into the system!), but Brodie's is just that little bit out of the way so that not everyone remembers it's there - THAT's what the attraction is for me. Good food, good wine, good service, good surroundings and veiw across the Wharf, that's all I need for a quiet lunch with a colleague and friend.

The bar staff were very pleasant and although pricey (but this is Canary Wharf), the measures were generous. However, we were peckish so decided to have a couple of snacks - big mistake. The honey mustard sausages weren't, they seemed to be just cocktail sausages. The 'crusty bread' wasn't, it was just three slices of soft, dry French stick. I found that a bit pointless, as you couldn't exactly make a sandwich of the mustard and sausages in it. My husband had 'dirty chicken strips' which stated that it came with a BBQ sauce and instead he got a sweet chilli sauce, although he wasn't bothered too much. So whilst I would say, certainly go and drink there, I would advocate avoiding the 'dinger' food. (Actually, the location isn't all that brilliant either).

One of the long-standing Canary Wharf haunts, this is mainly a bar and the food is an afterthought. Having said that if you want a quick lunch of fish and chips or burgers, it's reasonably priced, but nothing very special. We came here for a weekday lunch and had the fish and chips which was what it said on the tin at a reasonable price. Probably more an evening place if you want to come here for drinks - not sure I'd recommend it for the food alone. There are some nice outdoor tables although at the moment they look out over the Crossrail building site so probably doesn't count as a "scenic" view.

I like this Bar/Restaurant for it's relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, despite my Personal favourite Alcohol Consultant, leaving, the service is now may be too relaxed in my short period for lunch, but served with a smile.I can recommend Dave's excellent Chilli and the food looks good, Burgers, Meat Skewers, Fish and Chips, but stick to the Chilli myself. Lunchtimes should be busier as you can avoid the usual hussle and queues of the wharfs restaurants. Brodies never fails to impress me with the food, the service and the ambience!I have not been there for a while and I felt that the excellent rating is very well deserved for Brodies!I went with my boyfriend and a couple of friends and colleagues from work. It was a busy night but I didn't have to wait long to get served. Whilst I agree with the reviewer below that it was busy, I could see that all the staff behind the bar were trying their best to serve with a smile and as quickly as possible, take out food orders and most importantly, making sure the customers were happy! It was a Friday night in Canary Wharf, last Friday of the month (pay day) and the end of the first week for new graduates for all the big companies in and around Canary Wharf. I would like to know if there was an empty bar in the area!??! How long would you have waited to get served in... I am vegetarian so my opinion may be somewhat skewed. That said, I have never had such terrible food - cold, bland, soggy and incredibly oily. I was astounded that a posh, relatively expensive establishment in Canary Wharf could serve such poor quality food. Other than that, the ambiance of the place was decent - the staff was friendly and quite helpful. Although the heating was broken when I was there which made for a rather chilly December lunch.

An old pub and it has that quirky old English pub feel. The food was excellent for a pub and reasonably priced. Great service from a very pleasant bar lady. A little rough though with a group of rowdy lads who gave the two of us stares when we walked in presumably because we weren't locals. However had a hearty pub meal and left happy.😊 PS: The George was serving a Christmas menu which featured a huge range of meals. Very impressive. Recommend the onion rings, and I had the huge mixed grill which I honestly struggled to finish - 2 chicken fillets, a 10oz rump steak, cumberland sausage, 9oz gammon steak, fried egg and peas. They do pub classics, sarnies, baked potatoes with fillings, grills, big plates and more! Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a hearty good value meal.
